    Big Bear on gluten-free
    Chris C.

Always a great lunch! I got the Big Bear sandwich, which is literally a sandwich big enough for a bear lol! I'm celiac, so gluten-free is important. They use a simple GF multigrain bread. It's decent and held together so I could eat the sandwich. They prepared my sandwich off to the side on a piece of sandwich wrap. It was kept off the main assembly line. Put together by a separate worker with new gloves. They "do thier best" but off no guarantee. There's some inherent risk for a celiac when eating at a sandwich shop, but this place works for me. Overall DELICIOUS!

I didn't take a photo of the food because it was devoured before I even thought of my phone. My husband and I visited this deli because we wanted something quick and delicious before our flight out. Man was this place sooo sooo good. My husband got the special of the day I think it was the southwest turkey dip? Something like that. He ate it in a blink of an eye. It was cheesy, turkey, delicious. I got the lil bear sandwich and it had so much cheese, ham, salami...so good. It was $30 for 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and the chips come free with the meal. It was well worth it. Amazing.

This place does not disappoint. If your reading this message then you are looking for something good to eat in the area. Finish reading my post then look no further. Head to big bear deli now! You won't be disappointed. Just hope that they are open when you decide to go. They close early. They were closing minutes before our party walked in and invited us to stay and eat and take our time. Ordered a TBR melt! I don't think I'll be ordering anything else any time soon, it's so good !!! A hot sandwich. Full of meat! Also ordered the broccoli cheese soup and cob salad. The sandwiches are heavy and big portions. I've noticed the salads have gotten a little smaller but they are still massive. Worth the $ for sure! Fresh made ranch is a great touch! I have little ones so I feel like a pain asking for forks and plates and Napkins and everything else but they were so kind about it. Last time here was 4 months ago (I just moved to the area) and they have remodeled. It's nice and cozy. Super super friendly staff! All homemade food with great portion sizes. Very tasty!! You can tell that everyone working here has pride in there place ! You walk in and order and seat yourself. Make sure to order the root Beer! Locally made! So good !

I eat there weekly. Today, I purchased 6 bowls and I was in a rush so I didn't check until I got home and 2 Teriyaki Bowls were given as small bowls, although I paid for the regular bowls. The Greek steak bowl meat was all fatty and not something you would eat. I usually have a good experience with this bowl. The food taste great, but I question the management of the Post Falls restaurant because of the consistent unpredictability.

It did feel healthy and fresh, but I kinda wished the whole thing was just better. The steak bowl had good flavor but the steak was in big chunks so you had to tear it appart with your fingers as you just had plastic fork for eating. Overall, the steak was good but chewy. The chicken in the bowl was cooked well and had good char, it was mixed in a bit of glaze and rice/slaw/ pineapple. Overall tasty, just kind of needs a bit more components or maybe more seasoned rice. Maybe my expectations were too high. Anyhow, was just ok for me. But, is a nice and appreciate the healthy option. The strawberry lemonaid also a pass. No real flavor and they charge extra but no strawberries in there. Again left me very meh.....

My partner had the turkey huckleberry sandwich, and he liked it quite well! We were a bit sad about the green beans. They looked excellent, but were very underdone. We did let the waitress know and she was gracious about it and said she would let the kitchen know. We took them home and reheated them in our steamer basket and they were good. The atmosphere is kind of cute and farmhouse chic, the very open floor plan does get loud though so foam boards to reduce echo would help a lot. The only other downside was just that the service was a bit slow, but they were pretty busy for a weekday night. Overall, we liked it and will probably be back - I look forward to seeing if their menu changes with the seasons.

Parking lot was full, but, fortunately got a spot on the street right in front of the building on Spokane St. We're both disabled so not an option to walk very far. Food and service were both great! Savannah was very patient & attentive! Friend had the pulled pork tacos. She gave me a taste of the pork with some of the bbq sauce...excellent! I had the Flamin PBJ burger. Really good with just a bit of a kick. Really didn't taste the peanut butter (except when it got in my hand), probably because of the jalapeno strawberry jam. But it was a perfect ratio of burger to bun to sauce. Definitely recommend both. We had the potato dippers with both and we also each had a cup of their homemade chili, which was very very good. The potato dippers are not your typical fries. Not sure what kind of machine (?) cuts them up, but, they are delicious and outstandingly tasty when you use the chili as a dip! We were also impressed with the selection of mocktails. The No-jito was really refreshing with the mint & lime and not sweet at all. Loved it! Friend had the Donkey and really liked it too. We look forward to returning with a bunch of our friends.

And when it's a Greek restaurant on top of that, that's basically a recipe for perfection. You can smell this place from blocks away. By the time you get to the parking lot, you're already salivating in anticipation. Vampires be warned: you're not getting within a half mile of this place! Sure, not everything was perfect about our meal: the Sarmisak (garlic dip with walnuts and parmesan) didn't do much for us, and my wife ended up preferring my Bahce over her grill plate (I can't remember the name of it), so we ended up swapping dishes. The Turkish Cigars were a huge hit with both of us, although we both wished they were a bit larger. I'm not sure I quite "get" the running aesthetic going on here at "The White House", as well as their sister establishments "The Oval Office", "The Pentagon", and "The Capitol". I mean, I get the theme, but...why? I don't get the Why of it all. Regardless, it's immaterial. The food is awesome, and worthy of a President. Well, not our current President...but one of the good ones, for sure! The staff are efficient, somehow buzzing about all over the place, managing the chaos (this place was PACKED on a Saturday night), but still managed to be friendly, attentive and focused. And despite ordering two cocktails, two appetizers, and two entreés, our bill was somehow still less than $100, I'd say that you definitely get your money's worth here! Hell, we even took enough leftover back to our hotel to keep us fed almost the entire next day! In short, I would vote whomever is running THIS White House in for a second term...and a third...and a fourth!

I would like to preface that I went in without expecting to be blown away by a 38 dollar steak. However it just wasn't good even for a 10 dollar steak. I ordered their peppercorn sauce on the side and I'm glad I did as it was absolutely heinous and would have rendered the steak completely inedible. As it was the steak was cooked properly to the way I ordered it however I believe they were relying on the sauce for seasoning as this lacked even a hint of salt, pepper or any other seasoning on the meat. To top it off the gas flavor from the grille was quite overpowering. The ribeye was quite tough and lacked any real intramuscular fat which is expected in the price point. But would have been completely fine had the meat been seasoned even the slightest. I would try the restaurant again if ever in town however I would be staying away from the steak for sure.
