They loaded up my three bedroom house in less than two hours, and had my new house ready to go in absolutely no time. I would absolutely recommend these guys any day if the week! A lot of my furniture was damaged and chipped. And they left scratches and marks all over my walls in my new house. Luckily I was able to wipe most of it off. They also placed the washer crooked on the pan and crushed it. I can't move it myself so I had to hire someone to help. The movers were sloppy. I reached out to the moving company and haven't heard back. I am super disappointed and quite frankly pissed that I hired them. They didn't wrap any of my furniture and care about my walls. read more

I just used this company for packing. The lead packer was not happy with the size of the job and repeatedly complained. It took two packers six hours. Towards the end they got sloppy. I found stuff not packed still on shelves. A few boxes had items sticking out and needed to be repacked. The real test will come when I unpack, I hope nothing is broken. read more

This company sent a representative, James, to look at our house and give us an estimate. The estimate was 2100$. When they finished, they gave us a bill for 4100$ and then wanted a tip. It was outrageous! read more

BEWARE this company is AWFUL!!! I was told that the trucks would only accommodate a home in the range of 1600 sq ft, so in turn I needed 2 trucks as my house is 1900 plus. So two trucks required 2 drivers and boy let me tell you they move slower then slow. They got to my house 5 minutes before 10 and they did not get done until 5 minutes to 8pm. I was moving my stuff into a storage unit and I had to pay an additional $25 because the movers would not be done by the time the gate hours closed. I have a 3 bedroom house and it took them ALL I mean ALL let me clarify ALL day to move my stuff. Yeah same thing I said and thought. On the bright side they damaged my washer machine.. ok, hold up they broke the glass to the lid on my washing machine. Now I have to put in a claim to "SEE" if they will pay for it. Beware they will tell you to move a 3bd house it will be about $1100.. Yeah ok, I paid $3500 for an all day move, oh! I forgot to mention we beat them to the storage unit and they left 20 minutes before me and my husband. WTheck!! yeah!! And then the slow moving supervisor said it took them 1hr and 45 mins. Yeah, ok STUPID we were on the same freeway and it only took us an hour. Also, it is guidelines in place that moving companies must follow and they missed every guideline that is in place to protect consumers. DO your research people because I didn't. The guys were nice enough but nice doesn't pay the bills. They were hired to pack and move. They separated things that should have been in the same box into different boxes so we had to hunt down everything. They damaged the wood on my grandfather clock and the head guy's solution was to cover the damage with a felt pen??? They damaged my dad's brand new bed. They broke a really nice shelf that my mom kept plates on and, days later, we still haven't found the broken piece. They were very loud and disturbed the neighbors. One neighbor told me that the workers were out front of the house loudly complaining about the work and about us. This company was referred to us by a friend. Rescheduled me 3 times, showed up once, cancelled on me the morning of twice. Won't refund my deposit and never moved a thing. Not confident on mountain roads. I took off work 3 times to move with them and that cost me a lot. They call the night before to confirm the next morning to then call the next morning to cancel? They claimed the roads were covered in snow and ice when they were plowed down to the pavement and cindered. Two wheel drive vehicles had no trouble on the roads. There were no chain requirements in town. They claimed they can handle moving with the weather and would chain up if they had to. That was not true in my case. Hire someone else. read more

RUN don't walk!!! This company doesn't seem to have any information about pricing until after they've taken all your belongings. They rushed to move our belongings to their facility (after we told there was no immediate need to move) and would not give us a full price estimate for two days. Our belongings were taken from our home without a written contract and without any consent to complete the move. After being quoted 5x the price of a uhaul to complete the move they've charged us $1200 pick up our belongings and can't even tell us how many units they used for storage. It's mind boggling that a company is run in such a manner. read more

***BEWARE - fraudulent contracts and unreimbursed damage claims*** Note that formal complaints have been filed with the Office of Inspector General - Dept. of Transportation due to contract fraud, and the Better Business Bureau for resolution of unreimbursed damage *** My mother hired Big Bear Moving in June 2019 to move her possessions from Lake Arrowhead into the company's storage location in San Bernardino, pending final move to Santa Ana for a later date. In Jan. 2020, her possessions were moved from the storage unit into her home in Santa Ana. When the moving company arrived with her possessions, she was asked to sign a blank contract with no estimate for what the charges would be. The delivery driver verbally said "it's probably around $1,000, but based on the time it takes." In addition, she was asked to initial the contract that she was provided a copy of the "Consumer Protection Booklet" that is required by law. The driver did NOT have the booklet and admitted that he does not carry those. When the work was done, it was announced that she owed $2,211 for the move. He then ask that she sign a document that she was informed of this amount BEFORE the move actually began! Several items were found to be seriously damaged including solid oak dining room table, large entertainment unit, damaged mattress, missing knobs from smaller furniture, etc. In addition, the brand new carpet in my mother's home was stained by a greasy dolly as the moving company admitted that the carpet cover they needed was buried in the truck and they could not get to it. As we watched items being moved in, we were chasing greasy stains and trying to minimize additional damage. (see photos and video links for detail). As he believed that damage related to the June. 2019 move, not the Jan. 2020 move, he would NOT be responsible. "That was a different ownership" he said. We then research California Corporate filings online and found that he assertion was completely false. California Corporate Number #C3474273 was the SAME. The only thing changed were corporate officers, but the actual business entity was the SAME. As a result, they were/are responsible for the admitted damage claim. We attempted to resolve directly with business and contacted them five (5) times in the hopes of doing so in good faith, but it became clear that they had no intention to do so. As a result of this, it was clear to me that a detailed YELP review was needed as well as escalation to other regulatory authorities. read more

We hired Big Bear moving to help move some furniture from the 3rd floor of my mother's Lake Arrowhead home, down to the 1st floor and also to move some furniture and items from her home to a family friend in Victorville. I called just 2 days before we needed them as was so happy that they had availability. Although we had a slight mix-up on the original day we had it planned, James with the home office was honest, let us know what happened, and helped us quickly identify a plan to come the next morning. The crew kept us well informed and called us the morning of the move to let us know when they would be there, and to confirm the details of the job to make sure they had everything that would be needed. They arrived on time and were very hard working and respectful. They took great care of my mother's furniture and moved it expertly down the very narrow and steep 3-story mountain home staircase. We hired Big Bear Moving for our home and office move to one location. From the moment I called and spoke to the woman at the office, I felt this was the company to go with! She was helpful and kindly answered all of my questions. We moved about 1500 sqft of living and work space from Covina, CA to Lake Arrowhead, CA. Chris and Joey arrived early, were patient and kind even though we were a bit late and not fully packed, and were very careful with our stuff. They even helped us figure out ways to properly store and pack some of the stuff we didn't know how to handle. They worked super hard and were FAST! I felt good knowing that they weren't trying to wear down the clock and make more money than it takes. This is something I felt worried about, knowing that they charge hourly but I felt this company was honorable and respectable. We had a fair amount of fragile items and everything was treated kindly and did not break! We did have one table leg break but the table was honestly already broken and was barely holding on so it's entirely not their fault. They wrapped everything we asked them to and were careful with everything we mentioned was fragile. Thanks to Chris and Joey, our experience was awesome! First of all, with thorough searching, we could not find a viable, current, listing for Big Bear Moving, LLC...(NOTHING ON THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA Secretary of State website for Big Bear Moving!) In fact, we found many addresses listed on government websites, but few (one?) were actually viable business addresses associated with the companies doing business as Big Bear Moving, Redlands Moving, Patricks Moving, Murrieta Moving (all these are companies associated with Randal Rogers, apparently the owner of Big Bear. We did find a PO Box affiliated with Redlands/ Big Bear, but it belongs to a 91yeare old lady who may or may not be, related to Randal Rogers--who may, or may not be the owner of the company! WEAK! Redlands Moving & Storage was retained to move us from our home in One portion of Los Angeles County, to another part of the same County. The movers were clearly not trained and were incompetent to do a move - they didn't know how to pack. They did NOT use ANY moving blankets to wrap furniture!!!! With ample time to spare, we scheduled our move, requesting two trucks and four or more movers. On the day of the move, Redlands called us ~two hours before the move to tell us that only one truck and two guys were coming! The two guys showed up an hour late and brought zero tools to disassemble furniture, especially beds. We had to loan our power tools to the guys to get the job going. When the truck showed-up at our new home, we could see from the way had loaded the furniture they had caused damage by the way they stacked it. They hurried and unloaded the furniture, flashed an attitude at my wife when she asked them to assemble the beds (they never did assemble the beds). We then extensively communicated to Redlands Moving/Big Bear Moving/etc...(there are three additional names and a multitude of addresses(!), they needed to make good on all the damages that we incurred. We took over thirty pictures of all the furniture damages, (one piece of furniture was so gauged and scraped we had to throw it away!) submitted a claim to Redlands/Big Bear etc and after two months we were offered $300...one TV they ruined cost $350 to replace!...we requested full compensation for the losses, which we conservatively estimated to be ~$10,000. I just feel bad that I didn't read these reviews before I hired this company. I would have saved a headache, time and money. I honestly feel bad because the movers were nice guys. But when I think of movers I think of young, ambitious, honest pros. These dudes I'd rather party with at a concert on the beach, rippin one. That's the vibe. Basically to move a 3BR 1800sf to a 3BR 1200sf is not a small task. But I felt with the right people this could get done. They seemed confident, from the website making outlandish claims, "we are movers not breakers." Psssh, laughable now. Come on let's be honest. People need to work, but you need the right person for the right job. All in all I don't blame the guys moving, they did some work, no doubt. I blame the company. They undershot the objective. I booked this company with Richelle one month in advance last November 2020, but when I tried to contact them a few days before the move, I could not reach anybody. I left numerous messages, but no calls back. In a panic, I hired a different company because I was closing escrow in a few days. In hindsight, I am now glad that they were a No Show. After reading all of the most recent reviews, it appears having them actually show up on Move Day is the LEAST OF YOUR PROBLEMS! I've used this company twice in the past and was happy with service. I guess it is the luck of the draw with the people assigned to the job. This time I had two trucks, 4 people. It was a long job , 8 hours..two were pleasant the full time, two had bad attitudes and would take obvious China and crystal boxes flip them upside down and carry on their head . My file cabinet was also put in place upside down , what a mess. The bed rails were put together with unfinished side out, I had several broken hand painted wine glasses, a leather chair leg was broken off but they never mentioned the damage. Chris, Tito and Nate were so professional, so careful and so courteous. My parents were moving from their home of 20 years to a much smaller apartment to be closer to family. This was a very emotional move and Chris, Tito and Nate were so compassionate and kind that they made an otherwise challenging day into one that was so positive and uplifting. They were so careful with my mom and dad's belongings, wrapping antiques with plastic film to keep them safe and stacking boxes in the truck just right. They were quick and efficient on both the loading and unloading, handling things with care and patiently working with my parents on where things went. My dad had a huge oversized oak bar that would not fit in the new apartment and they managed somehow to get it over a patio fence to place it outside. No obstacle was too difficult for them! Although my husband and I haven't moved in 35 years, we will be referring them to all of our friends and will remember them if we do move! We called them and explained that we had a lot of stuff and would like them to come out and give a quote. They said they wouldn't do that. I was willing to pay for 8 guys to come out the first day, but when they showed up, only 6 came and they didn't even work a full day! They quit after just 5 hours! They were supposed to stack certain items in storage, instead they just literally threw items in and damaged so much it's unbelievable! ****Dishonest.... Stay away***** We used Redlands Movers which along with Big Bear Moving is one of the three names this company uses..... I have never written a yelp review about anything in my life. I am generally a roll with the punches kind of person and not someone that complains about things. However, I feel the need to expose the type of company that flat out lies and does not take accountability. My family and I just moved in Redlands from one house to another. The total distance was literally .8 miles. There are a lot of things that I could complain about such as the losing parts to our bassinet, (which they did return with over an hour after they left our house), the breaking of jars which led to an entire box of goods to be thrown away and the reassembling of our toddler bed which now squeaks and cracks. This can all be chalked up to the experience of moving. However, what is inexcusable is the fact that they broke my $2,500 77 inch TV and refuse to take responsibility for this. My wife and myself were told that if they put the three TVs on the moving truck then they would not be held responsible for what happened to them. Then they told us that if they put them on my truck and removed them from my truck and brought them in the house then if anything happened to them, they would be held responsible for any damages that occurred. When I went to plug my 77 inch tv in to watch the basketball games on Wednesday night I could clearly see that the TV was damaged. I have attached the pictures to show everyone how damaged this TV was. When we contacted the company on Wednesday night they told us to call back Thursday morning and file a claim. When we called back Thursday morning we were blatantly lied to. The movers are claiming that they offered to box the TVs for us and that we refused. This is a FLAT OUT LIE. Who would not pay a few extra dollars to get three flat screen TVs boxed before they are moved in the bed of a truck???? The owners told us that they are not responsible because we refused boxes....That is without a doubt a dishonest statement. You know what they used as protection for the TVs??? Bed sheets. When we arrived at the new house, they did not remove the 3 flat screens out of the truck until after they had the first truck unloaded. I had to ask them to please do this because I am sure the 109 degree heat on that day was not good for flat screens on the bed of a truck. The owners gave us claim to fill out and basically told us that they are not responsible. I should have read more yelp reviews about this company before we chose to help. This is such a shady practice. It is completely dishonest. The movers NEVER offered us boxes for these TVs like the owners say they did. FRAUD Scammers! BEWARE!!! They show up and make you sign a form that says they don't cover any items that are damaged, that should have been our first clue. Then they threated to take us to small claims court and "happily" take our additional $5,000.00 if we file a fraud claim with our credit card company. They broke my shutters and tried to hide the piece, and then dropped my refrigerator TWICE! It's no longer working Rochelle who is their claims person was RUDE and condescending stating that we signed off that nothing was covered if they broke it yet they sell you insurance, which wouldn't cover anything if you did buy it. The web site says they have insurance but you wont need it. Complete JOKE! I contacted the Bureau of Household Goods and Services and filed a complaint. Their numbers on the web site are fraud. What a total scam!! They advertise they have had no claims, perfect record, great service! NOT TRUE!! They overbooked, then at the last minute changed dates on us telling us it would be at the very least two-weeks before our things would be loaded on another truck and delivered. This threw our entire move off as well as the start of a new job. Then, to "accommodate our frustration for the delay" they loaded all of our things in a very old, dilapidated truck with holes in the roof and drove it through massive rain storms. They guaranteed they could handle moving my $14,000 piano and snapped off one of the pedals before they got it out of the house. We could have dealt with all of this knowing and understanding that things happen, if only the moving company showed any kind of concern or willingness to back up their promises. It has now been 3 months since attempting to file a claim. No return phone calls, no payment for all of the water-soaked belongings, and absolutely no effort to resolve the repair of my piano. Yes, their quote was *reasonable*. The men who came to move us were wonderful, and the team that unloaded us was ok, although they made sure to leave the wet boxes as far back in the basement and on the bottom of the piles as possible. Since they didn't mention the wet boxes, it was several days before we discovered them. I absolutely would NOT recommend them to anyone for anything. They reel you in with sweet promises and fabrications, then, once they have your things, they are in total control. Not to mention you must pay half in cash when they arrive for pick up and the rest in CASH when they "deliver". CASH?? Really? They have completely perfected the art of scamming the public!! When I experience excellent service from a company I want to share it. My husband and I moved from California to Texas at the end of August. Big Bear Moving was the first company I called. I spoke with Debbie/Interstate Aministrator. She patiently informed me about the company and all the services provided. She then sent Peter/Interstate Estimator to inventory everything we were moving plus one of our cars. He also was vary patient and informative . I am so happy that I decided to go with them. We set a tentative date of the move as we needed a 52 foot truck (plus cab) . Debbie called me every week to see how our plans were and any questions I might have. Prior to our move, Debbie lined me up with her best driver Michael. He called us 2 days in advance and set their time of arrival. Michael and his outstanding crew were punctual, very professional, courteous, careful, and hard working. Michael kept us informed as to their time of arrival in Texas. Michael and his other outstanding crew met us at our destination and again we received the same great service unloading the truck.
