Wow! I've been ordering here for years and I have to sadly say of all things, they have desecrated the sacred gyro. I thought I had the wrong order, it appeared to be a deconstructed hamburger. I called them to inquire and the cashier answering the phone said we just grab it out of a bag! Zut Alors! They should proudly showcase that spit of manmade meat product and shave it with gusto and flair like in the old days! Not smack your gum and say we threw it out of a plastic bag and hang up on me, and this was after I gave a 20% tip on a carry-out. Ordered 4 Greek salads with chicken and not one salad had any Greek olives. Called them and was told "too late". Warning-- carry out orders check your order before leaving. Better still go to another Coney Island too many good ones around with actual customer service. I would think if I ordered their famous Greek salad it would be good quality. Sadly I was wrong. I paid the extra change to make the lettuce romaine (because that's better in a Greek salad than iceberg lettuce) and seems as if they mixed yesterday's lettuce with new lettuce and boxed it up. So we would go to this Coney Island often and the last couple times has been a struggle but today was so bad I felt I had to do a review. 1st we ordered 3 chili cheese fries there was literally a table spoon of chili and cheese on the fries. 2nd we ordered omelettes 2 the hashbrowns appeared and tarted premade they slightly burned dry and sharp could feed them to the toddlers you couldn't taste the potato we ordered link sausages for the toddlers they gave us 2 mega dry old sausage Pattie's we dropped 71.00 including a tip I really want a refund we live right down the street everything tasted old not sure what is happening we ate long time customers but u don't think we will be back anymore read more

Leo's is the best coney island, imo. No matter which one I've been to, it's always consistent with the rest. I think they're serving Michigan's own Koegel dogs that have that snap when you bite in. Their mini-Greek with chicken are enormous for a mini. Their dressing is perfection, and service is always fast and friendly. read more

I love coming here. I come twice a week for lunch. It's always bustling but not to busy . There are always booths and seats available. The waitresses are speedy and efficient. There are some regulars who you'll spot there often, and they are all nice. They don't bother anyone but it's a nice community vibe. I get the village salad and green salad a lot. The vegetables are always fresh with the occasional under ripened tomato. Chicken finger pita with ranch I would recommend, and the lemon rice soup. Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday and all three of us ended up ordering lunch instead. I was unaware Leo's offers a Greek Village Salad and I couldn't resist. I ordered it with a Loose Burger and it sounded good enough that the others ordered Coneys. The salad, which is basically a Greek without lettuce was very good. I would prefer a courier chop on the veggies. The Loose Burger, Coneys, Chili Fries etc were all tasty. The server was top notch and fun. Large menu and good food. Me and my buddy meet here for lunch. Always get coneys and they're pretty good. Got a single piece of fish once for trial purpose. It was tasty. Today got the 2 pc fish with a baked potato. Leo's Coney was around when I was a kid growing up. They were still there when I was a teenager running around my hot rod chasing after chicks! now I here I am in my 70s and I just found a new Leo's over on 8 mile near Farmington in Livonia. Just shows you're never too old to find a new place. I would highly recommend at least trying this one out to see what you think given that they have so many different locations.(hint!) it shouldn't be too hard for you to find one. If you can't find something that you like on the menu, then people will question if you're really from this planet! read more

I carried out from this coney tonight and found multiple hairs in my chicken lemon rice soup. I called the manager, Mike Jaffer, he was so rude to me and wouldn't give me a refund unless I brought the soup back in. I am not wasting my Friday night driving back to coney. He wouldn't give me his manager's name and ended up hanging up on me. I will not go back to this coney and I would not recommend this location to a friend. Hot food, quick service, pretty much all you need in a Coney joint. We ordered take out and the place was pretty busy since it was Sunday afternoon. Despite that, our order was ready and 100% accurate. For that alone I'll for sure come back here. I ordered four peice chicken strip with chili cheese fries and onion rings. The chicken and ranch dressing were really good and the onion rings were tasty. The chilli cheese fries didn't wow me, but they were okay. Overall, not a bad spot for something quick. read more

We eat here pretty often and have reasonable expectations... it's a Coney, not Flemings, I get that. So, tonight I ordered one of my regular items, a salad with a side dish of cottage cheese. ...pretty basic fare; have ordered this a number of times. But - instead of getting a full side dish of cottage cheese (which I put on the salad) tonight, I got just a little thimble of cottage cheese; one of those little containers the dressing was in - that's what my side dish was in... about a mouthful and a half of cottage cheese. But, ever being the optimist, I thought to myself, "OK, she probably didn't charge me for this - it's the same size as the dressings... which they don't charge for. I can live w/this small amount." Then I thought, "However, I am going to be a bit miffed if there's a buck and a half charge for this almost non-existent side dish on the bill." So - imagine my surprise when the bill came. She didn't charge me a buck and a half...she charged me a full-priced $2.79 for a "side dish" of cottage cheese. Seriously! Are you kidding me? What a freaking rip-off. So - you won the battle - you got full price for 3 cents worth of a side dish you shorted the customer on. ...but you got (one more) bad review and a family that won't come quite as often ...we'll still come occasionally; not going to go "full boycott" over this, but you're not endearing yourself to longtime customers with this nonsense. read more
