Already started eating chicken tenders were great!

Everything was great! We already started eating before pics but food was fast and fresh. Service was great, breakfast bar was delicious!

**Big Boy Restaurant - Cadillac, MI: A Fantastic Breakfast Buffet Experience!** Rating: If you're ever in Cadillac, Michigan and you're looking for a solid breakfast to kickstart your day, look no further than Big Boy! I've been to my fair share of breakfast buffets, but this one took me by surprise in the best way possible. From the moment I stepped in, it was clear this local gem had everything you need for a hearty morning meal. **Ambiance & Service:** Big Boy has that classic diner vibe that makes you feel right at home--cozy booths, friendly waitstaff, and the familiar hum of casual chatter. It's a family-friendly spot, so you'll see everyone from locals to road-trippers. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of seating, so even though it was busy during my visit, I didn't have to wait long to be seated. The service was exceptional--quick, attentive, and with a smile. Our server was efficient without hovering, which made the experience relaxed and enjoyable. She kept our coffee cups full and checked in on us just the right amount, which I always appreciate. **The Breakfast Buffet:** Now, the star of the show: the breakfast buffet. It's hard to find a buffet that isn't just about quantity, but Big Boy in Cadillac does it right with both quantity *and* quality. They had everything you could possibly want for a breakfast feast. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and soft, not the dry, overcooked kind you sometimes get at buffets. The bacon was crispy without being burnt, and the sausage links were perfectly seasoned and juicy. There were also golden hash browns, which were crispy on the outside and tender inside--definitely one of my favorite items on the spread. For fans of pancakes and waffles, Big Boy has you covered with a pancake station where you can get them fresh and hot. I loaded mine up with fresh fruit and syrup, and let me tell you, it was the perfect combination of light and filling. Plus, the fresh fruit bar was a nice touch with ripe melons, strawberries, and berries that were refreshing and vibrant. **Variety and Options:** One thing I really appreciated was the variety. It wasn't just your typical buffet offerings. In addition to the standard breakfast fare, there were also specialty items like biscuits and gravy (a huge hit at our table), breakfast burritos, and even oatmeal with toppings galore. They also had an assortment of baked goods--muffins, pastries, and cinnamon rolls--which were soft and sweet. There was also a small salad bar, which was nice for anyone looking for something light or a fresh side. Even though the buffet had plenty of filling options, I liked that they thought of a balanced selection for every type of eater. **Value for the Price:** Considering the quality and variety, the price was incredibly reasonable. For the amount of food you get, it was a total steal. You can easily go back for seconds (or thirds!) without breaking the bank. The value really stands out--there's no shortage of good food, and it's all prepared with care. **Final Thoughts:** I had a wonderful experience at Big Boy in Cadillac and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a satisfying, tasty breakfast. The buffet hits all the right notes: great variety, quality ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a pancake lover, a bacon enthusiast, or someone who likes a little bit of everything, this buffet will not disappoint. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cadillac--Big Boy made breakfast a memorable part of my trip!

God.

Life Changing. This Big Boy will give you an out of body experience. It is the single most incredible culinary masterpiece I ever been blessed with. Service and Ambiance are impeccable. Infinity stars.

The windows were dirty. We had a good view of snakes and spiders and just a swamp. Service Like a lot of people are saying the wait staff here at this place is definitely rough. Not nice. Don't seem to really be too interested in customer service. That should've been the tip for us to leave right then. Food We both got the ribeye sandwich. It really should've been called a grilled cheese sandwich with grease that tastes like meat. You can see in the pictures. This is what they served us. This is what they were proud of. This is what they're saying bring the family home is their motto? For what, a greasy grilled cheese that taste like crap for $18.99 and you gotta pay $4 dollars more to get fries. We took a couple of bites and then we brought it home. And then we threw it away. Cost So here's the end of it. $18.99 for each sandwich. They weren't worth much more than five bucks. If that. Then you have to pay more for fries. And four dollars for an iced tea. I'm attaching our bill... 52 bucks plus tip out the door. Let's just say it was pretty much 52 bucks. I didn't tip much on this gig. Summary Waterfront restaurant is a swamp and not Lake Cadillac as you would expect. Customer service that is lacking for sure Food just sucks and not even worth the cost at all. They obviously don't care about keeping their restaurant clean or about serving food that customers actually like and they're proud to serve. $52 for two sandwiches and two drinks. We are locals here to Cadillac and I will never stop foot in this place again. We've been here once before and we left because we didn't even have anybody come and wait on us after we were seated. I don't know why we went back this time, but we won't be going again. I suggest all you people coming up here to enjoy the great up north don't spoil your vacation by stopping in to Burke's Waterfront.

I recently commented on a $15.00 breakfast at Chef Jarod's and Company that is literally less than 30 second drive and 2 minute walk from each other. Look at the picture and for the same price you decide. You can substitute the biscuits and gravy with pancakes if you wish too. Eggs cooked perfectly to order. Coffee cup continuously filled. This is a busy diner and the wait at the door is well worth it.

Much like the small, quaint little places of yesteryear. Typical diner decorations, typical diner servers, and typical diner patrons. This was textbook. It was super busy when I got there, but by the time I left there was probably a 10-15 minute wait at the door. But you know these breakfast places keep takin' 'em in and puttin' 'em out. Since I absolutely despise anything where all my breakfast foods are mushed together (pizzas, burritos, omelets, scrambles, hitches, macros, and fizzles), I opted for the more traditional route of "food on a plate, maybe touching a little bit." It's kind of like the difference between kissing cousins and married cousins. This episode of breakfast will be brought to you by: chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, American potatoes, bacon, and toast. Special guest, chocolate milk. I'm a little trollop for chicken fried steak. Or really anything fried with a layer of gravy. This one wasn't bad. Had decent flavor, gravy portioning was good. I would welcome it back like a close friend. The eggs were good as well. Since my body can only consume scrambled eggs, anytime they aren't runny or have that weird cooked-too-long skin on them is a win in my book. I would embrace them again like a long lost relative. The American potatoes (or how I always have to ask for them because I can never remember the name "those little potatoes that are chunks"), were good with the ketchup. Cooked the way they were supposed to be. I would sit next to them again on a bus. The bacon. Oh, the bacon. If you're a breakfast place and serve bacon, this will make you or break you in my eyes. The hardest thing I have ever found so far are restaurants that claim to know how to do floppy bacon. Limp bacon. Soggy bacon. Whatever you want to call it. They always claim they know how, then they bring out bacon I could harpoon a fish with. I want bacon I can tie together like shoelaces. Sadly, this bacon missed the mark. I would turn this bacon away at the door. Ultimately, it was a breakfast place. It did what it set out to do. Chocolate milk 10/10 Made up breakfast foods 3/3 Flaccid bacon 5/10

We then sat down outside on the patio for lunch. The service was very good. I ordered the triple berry turkey panini and thought it was very good. It was unique with lots of dried berries and a raspberry creme. My wife ordered the quiche of the day and it came with spinach, goat cheese and ham. Hers also came with a fruit cup and scone. The scone had a nice lemon creme that came with it which was a great touch. She really enjoyed her dish. This is definitely a nice stop if you are in the Clare area.

The homey decor paired with the friendly service made it feel like you were visiting a friend who also happens to be a baker extraordinaire! The staff here goes above and beyond with the drink attentiveness--our waitress kept the refills coming and even offered us a coffee to go as the place was winding down. Now that's hospitality! Located conveniently across from the Tesla superchargers, it's the perfect pit stop for some recharge-yourself-while-you-recharge-the-car vibes. And don't leave without trying a slice of their famous pie. We were tipped off by the waitress that the buttermilk and berry pies are the crowd favorites, and I can see why! If you're a pie person, don't miss. Food-wise, it's classic Michigan fare. The chicken and rice soup of the day was exactly what you'd expect--simple, no-frills, but satisfying. I also tried the quiche of the day, which came with a fruit cup (not the freshest fruit ever, but no complaints here) and a homemade scone that was delicious! The pesto chicken sandwich hit the spot, too. Whether you're here for the pies, the quiche, or just to soak up the local charm, Mulberry Cafe has you covered. And with an attached gift shop, you might just find a cute souvenir to remember your visit.
