I ordered the Tripas taco extra crispy which is so good. I checked it before leaving and it was soft and chewy. I asked them to make it crispy and it came back the same. Then I started eating my enchilada when I got home. It was cold and the cheese was still shredded pieces. They didn't even bother to melt the cheese. I called and they asked me to bring it back. I have flown in from out of state and exhausted so I wasn't about to go back. I'm hoping it's a one off. I will try again with just the taco and see if it was just a bad cook.

This is truly a gem of a neighborhood Mexican restaurant that serves the local population greatly. I think they have very juicy meat inside their tacos and they offer abundant onion and cilantro to ensure a balanced flavor. Along with lime and sauce, the tacos just taste amazing. Specifically, the quesa birria taco, even though not like other tacos, taste very flavor and juicy, and I could not get enough of it. Their platters have abundant food in them, including rice, beans, meat, and sometime vegetables (unless just lettuce), and the prices are very reasonable. I have also tried their menudo, which they served only on weekends, and as much as it wasn't for me due to me not used to the meat in there, I still had to acknowledge that it was made in very authentic ways and I knew many others would enjoy it. Overall, definitely recommended to those that live in the northern metro! Nothing else to say other than authentic and flavorful Mexican food involved.

Afterwards, I did a search and found this Culver's nearby. Perfect! I had a few hours to spare before taking in a Minnesota Wild game. I normally hit the drive-thru at a Culver's and eat back at the hotel. This time, I decided to dine in. It has been ages since I dined in at any Culver's. I will admit that I was rusty. I had no problem backing into a parking spot. My rental vehicle's rear driver-side tire ended up being on a small mound of snow. I walked into the eatery. I lined up to place my order. I got a woman who paid for something at the payment machine that I was going to use. Once her transaction was done, she helped take my order. I got my usual combo: - Mushroom swiss burger - Crinkle-cut fries - Medium Diet Coke I got a number for my order. If you're at the drive-thru, you hang it on your car's window. If you're dining in, you find a table, plop yourself down, and put the number down on the table. I got a cup and headed to the fountain drink machine. It had Coke products. I filled my cup with ice and Diet Coke. During my meal, I had to refill it. Before I left, I refilled it one last time. It's nice to be able to do it as someone who has no issues with hydration throughout the day. It was cold and hit the spot. A sweet woman came over with my order. I thanked her. She was so cheerful. It was nice. She wished me a great day and took the order number away. It must be over a year since I last had a butter burger. It's so good at Culver's. The beef patty was juicy and yummy. I loved the melted swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms. The bun was soft and yummy. I was a happy camper. I love crinkle-cut fries. I like how each fry holds onto ketchup so well. The fries were yummy. They were perfectly salted. I've missed everything about Culver's. It was pleasant dining in. I should do it more often. It was nice having a relaxed, leisurely lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I used the washroom before I left. It was clean. No complaints. I had a great experience. I'd return here when I'm in Blaine again. (134)

Tables are small - really for two ppl and 3 max. But you can put some together if needed. Lots of to go orders on a Friday night. You order at the cashier, and they call your number when they take your order out. We got the King Rice Bowl, Chicken Shawarma, Gyro Cheese Fries and Gyro Plate. Portions are huge! The rice entrees are easily for 3 people. The wraps at least 2 hungry people. Orders take 15-20 minutes to prepare which they tell you up front. We got the Banana Pudding tres leches & Biscoff-Oreo tres leches to go. The base tres leches cake & cream frosting is really good. The banana pudding was ok but doesn't use real bananas. The strawberry one would probably be really good. We will be back!

The bad news is that it was too much filling for me to wrangle without rendering me unpresentable, but the good news is that it tasted GREAT. Super flavorful! Would definitely recommend. Came with fries and a drink for a very reasonable price, and those fries were delicious also; super crispy and flavorful with no need for dip. Lots of napkins needed for that wrap though. Looking around at what other people were eating has me convinced that they have a lot of good food. I saw someone eating one of the rice dishes that looked amazing, and the employee was excited to tell me all the other specialties that they are very proud of. They source a lot of their ingredients from Egypt, and they credit themselves with the creation of the Dubai Chocolate Milkshake which I regret not trying this time. You should come hungry because the portion sizes are ample and you'll want to consume them in their entirety.

Two weeks ago we stopped here during their regular hours and there was a sign on the door saying they ran out of veggies and had to run to the store and would be back shortly. Delivery drivers were instructed to call and be let in. I called the store and asked if they had a rough idea how long it would be until they reopened and the lady told me they didn't, but she said I could go on their website and order for pickup and they would let me in to get it. To clarify, I asked if they had the ingredients needed to fulfill my order if I ordered online and she said they did. Not sure why they wouldn't shut off online orders and prioritize customers who drove to the location to eat in person. Decided to give them another try a couple nights ago because the family was in the mood for burgers. Ordered through Grubhub and had it delivered. First bite into my cheeseburger I found a piece of plastic about the size of a half dollar (pictured). Really hope the plastic was from a condiment bag and I didn't have a piece of someone's plastic glove in my mouth. Tossed the food, don't think we will be back a fourth time.
