Wow has this place has gone down hill. In the PAST the chicken tenders were fresh, crispy, large and 3 fingers used to be enough for a person but NOW they are tiny, just slightly bigger than a chicken fry, they were not crispy, chicken was dry, and tasted like a frozen store bought chicken strip. I ordered 17 fingers which are now $1.81 per finger and two orders of fries and it was like a small appetizer, definitely was not enough to feed a family of 4. I'm a little late to the game trying Canes for the first time today but it was worth the wait. While I think this place is a bit overhyped its still quality food with good service. They offer different sized meals which can include: chicken tenders, Texas toast, coleslaw, fries, cane sauce and a drink! I found out if you get the box meal you can substitute one of the sides for something else including the sauce. I was very surprised with how the toast tasted. Usually when I think of Texas toast I think of crunchy and maybe a little over cooked but this toast was amazing! It was soft and flavorful. The fries were great, soft but not mushy or over salted. The chicken was also really good. The chicken came out burning hot which was a nice indicator that it's fresh. The strips were crunchy and really didn't feel like your traditional fast food chicken. The chicken was tender and good quality. I know a few more locations are opening soon in MN so keep an eye out for a place by you! read more

Chicken strips were ok. Hot and juicy, but bland. Even with their sauce, bland. (And don't go looking for a different sauce, they've only got one!) I love a crinkle fry but nothing special here. I had to drive extra far to avoid the U of M locations, and because the location on Lexington was closed. I called this location after pulling up on the location on Lexington and learning it was closed from this location in Blaine, and that they are open until midnight but also understaffed as well. The line to get to the drive thru was about 30-50 cars deep when I arrived at 10:30, and because I didn't want to risk going to a different location that might be closed, I stayed and continued my order, was able to order by 11:15, and returned home by 11:45pm. This location was not prepared for the traffic it had going on, but the fries and the chicken were good. If you're not a chicken person, don't go here. If you want something else, don't go here. The hype, if there is any hype (which I don't believe there is), is due to the fact that they do one thing very well. That's their secret. They don't pretend to be something other than what they are. I treated my staff to Raising Canes on Friday 4-12 at 11am. It was supposed to be a great happy Friday moment. Minutes after we ate, every single one of my employee's vomited. I called the store to report, and manager Danny Zavala completely brushed us off. Denied anything was wrong, and I'm sure didn't check any of his product. When I returned for a refund, Danny denied us and said "you already got your food"! We threw it up Danny, wow. I contacted the company website and reported this incident on 4-12. I then contacted the MN State Health Department, as is Danny's responsibility as a food service manager, which he did not do. I have not received any contact from this company at all. I am very disappointing with the utter lack of importance Raising Canes CO has put forth in ensuring their facility is up to standard. As a general manager, who is food safety certified in the State of Minnesota, I am appalled at the way Mr. Zavala handled this incident. He failed to report, or investigate a group of customers claim of illness. He gave no apology or expressed any empathy for how their food made us ill. He just blew us off and tried to sweep it all under the rug. Personally I will never eat Raising Canes food again for the rest of my life. My employee's have also expressed this feeling. So this place was huge when I was a senior last year. Didn't know what the hype was about. I thought it was just regular food like the type you get at Burger King. A year later and I finally caved in to try this place. And I must say, this place is sooooooo yummy! Ever since I first went in, I've been going back about 2 times a week. The chicken is soft, the fries are soft and never crispy (the way I like my fries is soft), the special sauce is really tasty, and the toast is drop dead delicious. I always get the 3 finger combo with an extra Texas toast. The food is never greasy unlike Burger King. The service is great and the people are nice.
