Called up asked for the price of a pizza, (large cheese) was told $9.06 showed up in five minutes. It was ready. Perfectly cooked, price was $9:06, left a 30% tip and a coworker i shared with said it was the best pizza he's had in a long time. I don't know why they're getting such bad reviews. If I could think of one word to describe this pizza place it would be scam. The reason why they don't let people make orders online and want you to call in is so that they can add on items since this is the only way they can make their sales for the month. The pizza was horrendous at best, the wings were lackluster, and the cinnamon sticks were disgusting. On top of that, this establishment lacks integrity and their customer service is nonexistent. My group and I placed an order with Big Cheese Pizza this past weekend while out of town, and it was easily the worst pizza experience we've ever had. The initial phone order was taken by a new employee, which wasn't a problem, but things went downhill rapidly from there. Upon pickup, we were surprised to find an unauthorized tip added to our bill. More concerningly, we were charged for 8 pizzas instead of our order of 3, and the types of pizzas were incorrect. When we called to address these errors, we were met with incredibly rude and condescending behavior from the staff and shift manager, including being screamed at and hung up on multiple times. It was a truly frustrating experience. Eventually, the manager grudgingly took our contact information to pass along to the owner, who left a voicemail promising a call back on January 6th. That promised call never came. Big Cheese Pizza failed in every possible way: incorrect orders, unauthorized charges, and appalling customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding Big Cheese Pizza. At the time of this posting, we haven't received that promised call. To add insult to injury, the food itself was terrible--mostly untouched by our group. The awful customer service, incorrect order, overcharging, and poor food quality make this establishment one to avoid at all costs. When the person got back on the phone, I asked a simple question about the menu, which there is no trace of online, and he hung up on me! Just moved to the lake, and were looking for a quick dinner after a long day of unpacking. Figured we would have to try Big Cheese sooner of later, and I'm glad we did. It was actually pretty good. They were having a bad night the day we ordered. The credit card machine wasn't working, so it was cash only, and they had ran out of mushrooms and green peppers. No big deal. I can eat just about anything on a pizza. So we ordered a pepperoni-sausage, and a deluxe with banana peppers instead of green peppers. Both were very good......and VERY cheap. Would be nice if the employee handling the pizza wore a mask and gloves on both hands no just one. We wear masks to protect you. You wear a mask to protect us. All the other employees had masks on. Thank you for doing your part. Sitting in the parking lot waiting for our pizza. There's a sign in the door that says: ATTENTION!! Masks must be worn in this store. My sister and mom love this place but I haven't been impressed the two times I ate pizza and cheese sticks from here. The first time it literally tasted like cinnamon and sugar. I can only assume they cut the pizza and cheese sticks with the same tool they used on cinnamon sticks. It was gross! Fast forward to this afternoon. The pizza was decent when it came straight from the oven. After it cooled to lukewarm, I couldn't stomach it. I'm not a fan but it's cheap and mediocre if you're ok with that. Could quite honestly be the rudest staff I have ever in my life dealt with. It's like they're in pain being there. Answering the phone and speaking to customers is a hassle to them. Definitely *cheesy* they made sure to deliver on the promise & lived up to the name. Perhaps not the best car meal, we made quite the mess of some bacon.... but otherwise quite delicious. The pizza is good but will not go back during this COVID-19 era. They are not following mandated guidelines. The young boy behind the counter came out to wait on me without a mask. When asked where was his mask the replied he gave was "at home". My mistake was still paying for and taking my pizza. This was reported to the Health Department and I was told I shouldn't have eaten it. If they aren't following mandated health guidelines for wearing a mask, especially in a food establishment, who is to say they even wash their hands? read more

Really used to love this place, especially for their breadsticks. I would normally order the special they had with a classic pizza, breadsticks & a 2 liter drink... well last time I went there about a month or so ago & had a bad experience (Wrong pizza & ran out of dough). Today I decided to give them a try again because I didn't feel like driving to my fave pizza place & Big Cheese is closer. Terrible decision!! I get there, pizza is not hot & ready (10 minute wait) & the menu is blacked out, not well lit, no specials on the board, no pizza menu at all! So I asked about the specials/combos and the guy informed me that he "doesn't do specials" this is very unfortunate considering that I loved their combo & that was the only reason why I would chose them over my favorite place. Ordered a 14" Large pepperoni pizza, and had it in front of me 10 minutes later. Sauce was simple and flavorful, crust was light and fresh with a little crunch. It's a wanna-be Little Caesar's. They offer hot and ready made pizza and breadsticks, but of much lower quality than Little Caesar's. The pizza was dry, and the cheese not very fresh. It reminded me of cafeteria pizza. The breadsticks were actually alright, but the garlic butter dipping sauce was not. Overall, it's the place to go if you want something fast and cheap, but don't expect it to be very good. It might be better just to pick up some frozen pizzas at the Food Lion next door. read more

Very surprised by the quality compared to the price. $6.49 for a large pepperoni pizza? I am used to NOVA prices, but that is pretty low. We haven't been to this place before because it looks cheap. But we had a large group of teenage boys to feed so we took a chance. It was petty good! Nothing too special and the cheese pizza needs more flavor, but, all in all, a very good deal. Not the greatest pizza I've ever had, but I've definitely had worse. I really enjoy the breadsticks and cheesy bread; in my eyes, they're kind of the star attractions of this place, with the pizza being an afterthought. The prices are awesome, though: super cheap. The location is in a relatively new strip mall in the middle of rural Spotsylvania/Louisa, so this place got a lot of love from us when we didn't want to have to drive to Charlottesville or Fredericksburg to pick up a pizza. One thing to keep in mind, though: they throw out your pizza if it's been waiting for like ten minutes. I learned this the hard way one day when I ordered a pizza, drove out from where I was staying (about a 15 minute trip) to pick it up, and found out they had trashed it because it had been "waiting out too long." Sure, I got a brand new pizza fresh out of the oven, but really, it was unnecessary and I felt bad about the waste of perfectly good food. read more

However, Heaven help you if you have to make a larger order and wait on the not so friendly almost disgruntled younger staff to do anything other than grab a box of the hot pizza. Not a hello, may I help you, I might suggest, have a nice day, etc. Just blank "I can't wait to get out of here" stares. While I waited for a apparently complicated order of 2 pizzas, and 3 wing orders, they made a mistake and one of them wandered out in the front, followed by another to loiter right in front of the main door at the entrance to smoke.
