Not sure why there are bad reviews for Big Chicken. My wife and I tried it for the first time and were happy with the overall experience. I got the Shaq Attack and her the chicken strips. The cashier was very friendly and was a pleasure to speak with. The food didn't take too long and everything was extremely hot. The "flat" fries were good and I normally do not care for a "home cut" fry. We tried the 5 different sauces and thought they were good but not great. My wife only liked the bbq sauce l. My Shaw Attack was an interesting combination. The jalapeño slaw and pepper Jack cheese gave the chicken sandwich just a little bit of spice. My only complaint would be the price, but is in line with other hot chicken sandwich shops. We will come back and try some of the other sandwich combinations. read more

We Ordered chicken bites, original chicken sandwich and an order of macaroni. Chicken bites were good, but we requested ranch and they gave us some other orange sauce we never heard of. I tried their BLT and added avocado recently and I LOVED IT. The grilled chicken is juicy and seasoned JUST RIGHT, the bacon is crispy, and the avocado, of course, always makes a good contribution to any meal. A week or two later I was downtown craving this BLTA but the big chicken locations were too far from me and I was too hungry to wait, so I ordered something similar at Chic Fila and that did notttttt hit the spot. Don't get me wrong, I do like CFA, but the whole-grain bread was dry, the overly limey grilled chicken just didn't blend well with the other ingredients, and lack of avocado?! No, just did not hit the spot for what I was craving. If you're looking for flavorful BLT this is where to get it from! It is actually not on the menu, but it was a limited time offer during the summer and they can still make it. As far as the fries, I get the waffle fries extra crispy every single time because they are so so good. For sauces, I'm not a big bbq person and I love a creamy sauce so the shaq sauce aka big chicken sauce and the honey mustard are my go-to every singe time. Other than the BLT, I do LOVE the uncle Jerome. It is so flavorful! I prefer spicy because the spicier version sort of makes my lips burn, which for sure makes it a fun meal, but on a more consistent basis I prefer just spicy. Also, although I'm not a bbq person, the Shaq Attack (jalapeño slaw, bbq sauce, pepper jack cheese) is surprisingly delicious. It's refreshing and somehow light with a tiny hint of spice from the jalapeno which gets balanced out with the chipotle bbq sauce. It's definitely worth trying and I can understand why it's so popular. For drinks, I either get the strawberry lemonade or this one whiskey and lemon based cocktail that is absolutely fantastic! It's also not on the menu but the bartender is very knowledgeable and recommended it based on the flavor profiles that I prefer. I definitely recommend it! It hits slowly but surely so watch out for that! If you ever don't know what to get, just talk to the staff. They are very knowledgeable and can make great suggestions based on what you're in the mood, which for me is so important. I tend to be a very curious person and ask a lot of questions so being able to ask questions without feeling judged makes it a much more welcoming environment and enjoyable experience. Last thing, in the picture I had already ate some fries and popcorn chicken so that's why it looks so empty lol. Oh and by the way, the popcorn chicken is made from chicken thigh meat so they're very juicy. read more

I've visited Big Chicken a couple times so far and as much as I would love to like the food it's simply ok. I've tried the fries which are thin steak fries/ or wedges. They weren't greasy or overly salty. The fried chicken was a no go for me. I think it's the batter that I don't care for. I'll try once more with the grilled chicken. The Mac and cheese was kinda dry and I don't care for the crumbles on top. I added salt and pepper to give it some kind of taste. I love the sauce options that are self serve and they have the good ice lol. The cashier has always been Arielle and she has been such a pleasure. She answered my millions of questions with a smile and even chatted with my daughter while I looked at the menu. She provided cookie samples as well. Inside has always been clean however I haven't used the bathrooms. One visit the ice machine and soda machine was down but the next visit it was working. The bar is super cool and the drinks look amazing although I haven't tried them yet since my visits are early in the day. We've been coming here since they opened. Staff is always incredible and the food is good. Kid friendly and a great atmosphere.
