Loved this place. Coming from CT, I do judge a breakfast bagel pretty hard! And this was delicious. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, on a Saturday morning. It was busy but not not bad, and my food was out very fast. They melted the cheese perfectly and had a few types too, which was always cool! Staff was super nice and the place clean. Parking is ample in the large shared lot. There's enough seating and a good menu. Why four not five stars, ? The food is mucho $$$! My single breakfast bagel was over $9. It's not terrible for Boulder prices but would be nice to maybe get a punch card going, I don't know lol. But I'll definitely be going back as a treat or to show visitors for bagels. read more

We didn't complain about wait times or even ask her anything and she took it upon herself to tell us we need to wait longer because the guy had tickets to do. I used to come here alllll the time, but quit when they switched the soda fountain. I know how dramatic that sounds, but they used to have my favorite Pibb out there. It's been a huge loss. I get the sausage egg and cheese, which is super good. They have great sausage and cheese, but their egg isn't my fav. With cream cheese bagels, they always go heavy on the cream cheese which is a super good thing. They have day-old bagels you can take home, sometimes not the best flavors but they are a great deal. You can also buy the cream cheese to take home and make your own bagels the next day. Overall would definitely recommend. The customer service is either great with certain people or really lackluster with others. Totally depends on the person. It's always clean though and the bagels are good. I am updating my review to reflect my experience: I have been coming to Big Daddy Bagels every week for years. We get bagels and cream sodas following our weekly horseback riding lessons. I have had exceptional experiences here, i.e. they know me by name when I come in the door. It has been a special bonding experience for me and my kids. Over the past few weeks, I have experienced really bad customer service. Last week, it was exceptionally bad and I had vowed ne'er to return. However, my wife convinced me to give it a final try. We returned and the same person who treated me so poorly last week did it again. I decided that I was done and I was going to let the world know that if they wanted to be treated like a human being when spending their hard-earned money, they had to go elsewhere. I posted a review here while I was in the store. Within minutes, the manager and area manager had reached out and began a dialogue in how we can make it right. Although I was disappointed with the overall experience, I appreciated the attempt to correct a bad situation. I love the bagels, love the spreads, and am willing to give it one more try. read more

I really want to love this place but they make it SO hard. Coming from NY and traveling throughout the country i'm always craving a good bagel and the problem with this place isn't the bagels, it's the staff. 1st time visiting- The man taking our order says "the Hot Wing usually comes on a baguette but we're out so pick a bagel instead" okay no problem. 2nd time visiting: Order two Hot Wing sandwiches and i order one of a bagel and one on a baguette. I then look at my receipt and it says the baguette was a .30 cents extra. Now I know .30 cents doesn't make a huge difference to me or to most people but why would the employee say that it comes on a baguette if there's an upcharge? In addition, I also mentioned this to what seemed to be the head server on staff and she basically blew me off and rolled her eyes about it. I also started looking at the prices of the coffees we've been ordering and again the prices reflect differently hanging on the board menu than what you're getting charged. This ended up being a bit of a rant but cmon man, it's 2020 and if you're going to be charging people different prices than what's presented to them then you deserve to get a bad review about it. read more

These are some of the better bagels in the Boulder area, though that is not to say they are spectacularly great compared to bagels in other towns/cities. We have been ordering online from them for several years. What has happened regularly is that they miss (short) part of the order. When I order a bakers dozen that should mean 13 bagels. More often than not, I get 11 or 12 bagels. If this happened every once in a while I would say nothing. But the fact that it happens so regularly is either by design from management or the employees can't do the necessary math. Either way it is disappointing to always feel like you are getting ripped off. Management please don't offer a bakers dozen if your intent is to give me a dozen or less. And yes, I do recommend you count your bagels before leaving the shop. read more

Honestly, really good bagels! It's hard to find good bagel joints in Denver. Einstein's simply doesn't cut it! Big chain bagel places are nothing compared to locally owned and operated. The bagels have that perfect crunch on the shell with a soft inside. The cream cheese is clearly made in house! My favorites are the Italiano (everything bagel), with scallion cream cheese, and the garlic bagel with veggie cream cheese! The bagels are good, but like @Maria B, it always feels like they are trying to trick you with offers that are no good, like the loyalty card that gives you 10% off on your 10th order (equivalent to a 1% discount for the 10% of people who can hold on to a card that long and actually be that loyal--so .1% discount) and the tips starting at 18% for a long wait and in fact no service. The model of ordering first and them putting the order into their system but refusing payment so that we can get in yet another line to pay is just insane. There is a reason this is the only business I've ever encountered with this system. Just take the payment while you're helping us rather than add 5-10 minutes of line-standing. It would vastly speed up your service and you'll make more money. read more

This is my 2nd time ordering from here. Both times our orders have been incorrect. Both times they have missed key ingredients, like SAUSAGE, on their own curated breakfast bagels. And another time adding cream-cheese to a bagel although I never asked for it, (i'm dairy free) and was charged too. bagels are good, just cant wrap my head around the continued pattern of serving incorrect orders. The Good: Delicious homemade bagels with a variety of spreads. I've been going here as long as it's been here (and before, when it had a different name) as I grew up across the bridge. They have tons of different kinds of bagels and spreads, they offer sandwiches, salads, and smoothies, they have coffee of course, plenty of seating, and you can see their many awards on the wall (they've been around forever and haven't changed, yay!) Their bagels are always fresh and tasty with plenty of spread on them, and I like to get a fruit smoothie too. I like their garlic or onion bagel with herb cream cheese, but really, you can't go wrong. The Bad: Nothing! The Food: My favorite bagels in town (and yeah I grew up with Moe's too!) When factoring in service and quality of food, this is my favorite bagel place in Boulder. You gotta try the Four Corners breakfast bagel, I get it almost every time. I've had quite a few of the sandwich bagels, and they are always decently "stuffed", which (in my opinion) justifies the price. The only thing I would advise against ordering are the smoothies.
