Some restaurants serve food. La Belle French Bakery serves edible works of art. The moment you walk through the door, it's obvious this isn't a place that cuts corners. Between the pastry case that looks like it belongs in a museum and croissants so perfectly golden brown they almost appear artificial, every item seems to have been crafted with an almost unreasonable amount of care. I ordered the breakfast croissant, a black coffee, and a blueberry muffin. Now, I firmly believe a bakery's coffee should be judged the same way a singer is judged performing acoustically: no fancy tricks, no backup dancers, nowhere to hide. If your black coffee is excellent, everything else is built on a strong foundation. Thankfully, La Belle passed that test with flying colors. The breakfast croissant somehow managed to be both delicately flaky and impossibly soft at the same time. Every bite left a trail of evidence on my shirt that I regret absolutely none of. I'm fairly certain the croissant received more quality control inspections than my first apartment. The blueberry muffin was equally impressive, striking that magical balance between homemade comfort and professional craftsmanship. But if I had to describe La Belle in a single word, it would be love. You do not create food this visually stunning and effortlessly delicious unless the people behind it are deeply passionate about what they do. Every pastry, sandwich, dessert, and loaf of bread seemed to radiate the kind of attention to detail normally associated with Swiss watchmakers, NASA engineers, and grandmothers preparing for a family gathering. I've had plenty of delicious meals before. What stood out here wasn't just the flavor - it was the unmistakable feeling that every item was made by people who genuinely care about their craft. The passion wasn't subtle. It practically walked out from behind the counter, introduced itself, and insisted I try another pastry. By the time I left, I had already started recommending La Belle to friends. Between finishing brunch this morning and writing this review tonight, I've probably talked about this bakery more than any reasonable person should. And honestly? I regret nothing. 10/10. This place looks really great from the outside. When you step in there are tons of pastries and cake cakes. Very exciting. We chose a shirt today. And a mushroom Swiss cheese quiche. Surface is very slow The counter person actually forgot our lemonade and I had to go ask for it. The bread on the sandwich was very tough and only toasted on one side. The Croissant Norwegian was served in a large croissant with way too much arugula, only one side had cream cheese, smoked salmon was a very thin slice that did not cover the croissant. au Jambon et brie had way too much arugula; brie and ham worked well. read more

The cinnamon rolls icing is not home made at all. They use fondant that comes in a tub and all they do is heat it up, mix it with water and put it on the cinnamon rolls and call it good. Other than that, the laminated pastries I have tried there are pretty solid. read more

4.5. Some tasty goodies! I stopped in on a snowy morning and was greeted by a warm "Bonjour!" The cases were filled with lots of different options, from fruity to nutty to chocolatey. I went with a pain suisse and a decaf iced latte and posted up at a table for a while with my laptop. The pain suisse was pretty good and the coffee was solid! I got a Nutella croissant to go for my boyfriend. I wasn't able to try that one because he ate it so fast, but he said it was absolutely delicious! We tried to order food online, but kept having multiple difficulties. I ended up calling the business, few times and even though our calls were cut, they say, didn't hang up on mee. It's strange, why would I hang up, when my husband is already on the way there to pickup baked items? I didn't bother to call back for points, even though I asked her on first call. She didn't do it, either. I asked about their main cookie, which stamped with their company name, they don't carry it, because it doesn't get delivered. What is suggested on phone, they don't make it onsite, they await deliveries and I spent nearly $80! I don't think it was worth, it wasn't fresh and frozen box, isn't all that it's hyped up to be. Also, I asked for small substitutions on sandwiches and she didn't budge, why say online that you can and they'd accommodate, but they don't and I'm glad, I didn't take that leap. read more

I spotted this driving past and made a note to stop on the way home. I would like to go back closer to opening to see more selection. I understand arriving later in the day that selection is limited, but I still found some great choices. First off, there is plenty of parking and they have both inside and outside seating. The patio has an enclosure around it. The staff was welcoming and answered my question. I ordered a jambon et fromage croissant as well as a couple fraise croissants for later. I had the ham and cheese warmed and it was tasty with a nice flake to the croissant. I had one of the strawberry croissants the next day and warmed it as well. I ordered a weekly croissant special (Banana Cream Pie) and it was very frozen when served. The center was hard. I informed the staff and was told the manager would be over. They never came to the table. I went to the counter to inform the cashier of the frozen croissant. I was told that the croissant had been defrosting for 30 minutes. I had tried La Belle's croissants at Le Frigo in Boulder. They were so excellent I went out of my way to go straight to the source in Broomfield. The owners, bakers, and staff clearly know how to create and deliver an inviting atmosphere and excellent product. My daughter ordered a ham and butter baguette and I couldn't resist a day old box of pastries. The baguette was crunchy and light and flavors of ham, butter, and cornichon subtle and just right. The day old pastries were delicious, and at 14.00 for 8, an excellent deal. I sampled some and froze the rest for later. They might have been a tiny bit dryer than same day baked goods (which is to be expected) but they were perfectly delicious and the taste, stretch and tenderness of the pastries was perfect. So glad I finally got to try their actually bakery! It is a cozy bakery out in Broomfield. The pastries are so delicious along with their hot drinks. Their croissants are buttery and flaky. I have a passion for coffee shops that have really good baked goods and I'm so glad this place popped up on my yelp page. It was exactly what I was looking for and I didn't even know it. It's in Broomfield near the King Soopers on Miramonte and 287 right off of Highway 36. It's a decent size, has a covered outdoor patio area and an inside Café portion. It's very clean and one of the things that stuck out to me right away was the fact that they had a little area dedicated to children in the corner. I didn't have my two year-old son with me but finding a coffee shop That accommodates littles is always difficult and before I even had anything to eat or drink, that is something that would entice me to come back. The second thing that caught my eye was the display of unbelievably amazing looking treats. They had everything, cakes, pastries, macaroons, sandwiches, cruffins, and more. It was hard to decide what to try so I picked six and took them home and ended up eating a sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, and tomato while there. I also needed some treats for a gift basket I was making so I picked up an assortment of cookies. Lastly, I ended up with a cappuccino. I spent a pretty penny while there. I don't remember the exact price but I wanna say everything was about $50-$60 but I did buy a lot. It was a fair price for the quality and the items I received. The sandwich was perfect. The bread freshly baked and still warm. I would absolutely go there just for the sandwiches. My Nutella cruffin was fantastic and my cappuccino was a bit strong for my liking, but for a true coffee enthusiast, it might've been fine. I usually prefer tea. I highly recommend this location. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is great. I did not end up checking the bathrooms, but if they are like the rest location, I expect them to be kid friendly and clean. read more

Very skimpy on the meat, cheese. I dont expect a deli sandwich, but this was unacceptable. The chocolate croissant was meh. Nothing special. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean & they have a broad selection of baked goods and treats. We stopped in for lunch to-go and ordered the following: - Le Breakfast Croissant (butter croissant, canadian bacon, emmental, and overeasy egg) -- this was very tasty! The canadian bacon had a great flavor, slightly smokey and thin (NOT chewy like some others can be). The cheese is melty and delicious. My only ding is that the egg was a little runny. I'm all for a runny yolk YUMMM, but don't like the whites runny so if I had some feedback it would be to cook it just a bit longer. A tasty sandwich I will get again and again. - Le Romain (Half baguette, salted butter spread, arugula, prosciutto, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, balsamic glaze) -- SUPER tasty. A basic lunch sandwich elevated by the salted butter and fresh ingredients; not to mention HALF a baguette is a large portion and was the perfect splittable sandwich between my husband and I. The bread had great chew, was pillowy soft and crunchy on top. One of the better baguettes in the area and holds up a sandwich really nicely. One of my favorite things was the croissant (so flaky & crispy on the outside and buttery, soft and decadent on the inside). This is a place to check out, but don't take my word for it. I'm so excited to have a sit down location of La Belle in Broomfield! The interior is very cute. It's a lovely place to grab some lunch, coffee, and a pastry with a friend. There is a large glass case that showcases pastries, quiche, and sandwiches of the day. For Disney fans, this spot is reminiscent of the patisserie in the French Pavilion at Epcot. They have a full coffee bar with alternative milk and flavored lattes. The sweet frappe drinks look so good and I will be back one day to try them. There is a covered patio that's heated on cooler days. They also have fresh bread and baguettes for you to take home and eat. Everything we tried was super good! I struggled between 3 stars and 4 stars but decided to round up based on the nice staff. We are in town for the next month and I decided to grab some croissants for our house. We came in for a morning snack and ordered a few pastries. The chocolate pastry I ordered just left something to be desired. At $5 dollars you just don't want a big let down. We did also order a berry pastry that was decently moist and tasty. The aesthetically pleasing atmosphere helps a great deal. I also loved the kids area. The hallmark of a great caprese is the mozzarella BUT don't sleep on the balsamic vinegar- it can make or break. La Belle's sandwich was on fresh baguette and used top quality ingredients including the balsamic. I was so happy! Service was friendly and quick. The decor is a little sterile (lots of white and silver) but this isn't the type of cafe to hunker down with your laptop. read more

Inedible breakfast this morning with frozen solid croissants. I wish this bakery were not so hit or miss. We've had good stuff in the past (carrot cake croissants) but this morning, we went in to get breakfast and the lavender lemon and pistachio raspberry croissants they sold us were frozen solid. It was like a croissant with a popsicle in the middle. I understand that these are cream filled items that need to stay cold, but they need to defrost their items before putting them in the case or they are just inedible and horrid. I don't think they understand how breakfast works. You're supposed to eat it in a timely fashion, not wait 3 hours for it to defrost. read more

Have maybe driven past this place a million times and never stopped by. So glad that I did!! We ordered a ham and cheese croissant, strawberry croissant, and Nutella cruffin. The croissant part was tasty and flaky. My issue is that when I bit into it from one end, it was almost hollow? I was about halfway done when I realized I hadn't bit into any filling yet. All the ham and cheese seemed to be on one side of the pastry and after cutting it open, there wasn't much in there at all (though perhaps I'm just a bit spoiled from how other bakeries in the area fill their ham and cheese croissants). However, I'm inclined to think that maybe I just got one that wasn't very full, it happens. And even though it wasn't necessarily filled to my personal liking, the flavor was spot on and would definitely try it again. Ambience wise, the staff were very kind, very helpful, and the place itself is very clean and welcoming. Will absolutely come here again and am hoping to give that ham and cheese croissant another try (alongside all the other amazing looking treats behind the glass counter). I always get excited when anything French opens in the area, so, of course I had to visit La Belle. I'd been to their place in Thornton, but it felt a little too far for a bakery with no seating inside. This new spot has it all, you can enjoy lunch inside and they even have a pleasant patio that I can't wait to try when the weather gets warmer (although they have space heaters). My husband and I tried the merguez croissant and the ham and cheese croissant. Both were good. I'd say they make for a very light lunch (the quiche is also quite small), but the sandwiches are a decent size. I guess it leaves room for dessert, and they look very beautiful! They also offer coffee-like drinks. Service was a bit slow when we visited on a Saturday for lunch; the place was busy and I assume they are still training the staff. They were quite a few of them behind the counter, with some just looking at us while we waited, it was a little strange. Overall, it was a good experience. The food is good, and it's always nice to get a little bit of France in my backyard, well, almost! read more

I did find the service to be a little slow and there is no where to stand while you wait for your order. There was just a big crowd of people standing around the counter and in the corner by the bathrooms and kids play area. They also did get our order wrong but, they fixed it when I asked. This place used to be a drive thru-less Starbucks. We should feel super lucky to have La Belle instead. The inside is beautiful, well lit, and perfect for photos or hanging out. You can tell that the people who opened and run this place wanted to make you feel warm and considered the way the light would make you feel. This is something that some small businesses seem to forget. I have been here twice now and the first time was good but the second time was legendary. Both in service and the choices. The first time I went I got an almond croissant (which was great) and a sausage roll (which was fine...maybe I need to come to terms with the fact that I don't like sausage rolls and I really just like kolaches). This time when I went the staff was on point and my choices were excellent. First, I ordered ahead this time and when I came my order was on time. Except, I heard someone say something about my order so I walked up and a very nice woman with glasses told me that one of the desserts I ordered was out so I could pick anything else in the dessert case without any worry about price difference. I understand and picked out the La Rocher. She said it was an excellent choice and got me all packed up and ready to go. She made sure I was able to carry all my boxes, bags, and drinks...I ordered a lot of items to try. When I got through the snow, it was a wild snow day with wet and icy heavy snow, I arrived to my car and found that I was missing a strawberry croissant. I went back inside and politely let them know that I forgot to grab my croissant. The same woman quickly got me my croissant and without asking threw in a Cruffin Au Nutella for having to come back in through the snow. I didn't ask and I didn't even have time to say that it wasn't necessary. Being a well run and good small business doesn't mean giving things away or, as the customer, expecting something for an honest mistake. What stood out to me about how this interaction went down was that this employee didn't ask me if everything was fine or acted like they made a huge mistake. She didn't draw a lot of attention to the missing item or ask me to pick something out or bring up different ways that they could be sorry. She just did something that she felt was nice IN THE MOMENT. I think also as a customer your attitude goes a long way. When they were sold out of the dessert I didn't make a stink and when I had to go back in, I didn't make a big deal about it. A good perspective does wonders and my same story could be presented different but my perspective and the perspective of the employee meant a great deal. Also, if you are picking up an order...just do a quick check in your car if it is easy for you. Nothing wrong with ensuring your experience is going well. For a sandwich, I ordered the La croissant Frenchie and I am telling you now that this is maybe the best croissant sandwich I have ever had. The depth of flavors and textures that were in it was breathtaking. I truly stopped after my first bite and just sat in the moment to savor it. Everything here is worth a try I am sure and I am happy to go back and try more. This place has a life long promoter in me and I hope it becomes a Broomfield institution. read more
