All the spirits are made in house and are super high quality. We have bought them before to give as gifts and everyone loved them. I love the opportunity to try bites of several different items so these kinds of dinners are always super fun in that sense and it allows the chef to be creative and have a little fun and I get to experience several dishes. And for those that aren't interested in committing to an event, The Caviste is a great spot to have glass of wine and some bar snacks/small plates when you don't feel like a big heavy meal(5:30-7pm only) Or just purchase some wine from their extensive wine selection.

They also had a High Point police officer at the door ensuring no issues, I'm not clear if that's a daily thing, or just during busier times of the year. They carry a good selection of alcohol, in many cases, even offering several brands for more common items like vodka, whiskey, and bourbon. They don't sell any beer at the ABC store, and I don't frequent them though to be able to say if any do. But they cart the hard stuff, some mixers and a very small selection of snacks.

The group that I travel with is about 25 people total. Last week my friend and I went to buy a few things and the employee was very pushy for us to buy drink mixers, which we absolutely hate. We politely declined to buy them, paid for our stuff and left. Tonight we go again and he AGAIN tried to push us to buy nasty drink mixers, we politely declined AGAIN (same guy) and when it was time to pay for our 4 bottles of different liquors (don't judge) he said he couldn't sell to us because we had a TEXAS ID....REALLY?? REALLY??? WTF is that about? So if our ID is issued in Texas, somehow we can't buy liquor? That's weird, because he did last week, and every bar in town has had no problem with our Texas IDs. Funny rule for a liquor store in a town where 35,000 [eople come from all over the world for the furniture market. Also, my biggest problem was the mean and almost insulting way he said it. He was just a huge jerk. I would understand if that actually was the law and he explained it nicely, but it's like he got satisfaction telling us no. I seriously don't know what his problem is, but we are both pretty angry and we will just drive a few extra miles to avoid that total douche bag. On this visit, there were two vendors offering free samples. Uhm, yes, please. One was a local distillery (https://giadistillery.com), and the other was Cîroc. GIA makes a grappa so good that it was voted the best luxury grappa in the world in 2021! Having lived in Munich before and spending lots of 3 day weekends in Italy via a short drive, I love grappa. Not knowing about this award,when I tried their grappa, it was heavenly. I picked up a bottle of the grappa along with a bottle of their whiskey. They also had bottles of their vodka, but that's not my drink; I leave that and gin to my wife. I'll visit the GIA distillery and do a full review soon. Back to this ABC store, there are plenty of helpful employees. The store is also very bright and inviting, which I appreciate. I don't like dimly lit stores. They are depressing. Some of the other items I picked up were a bottle of Travelers whiskey, a collaboration between the Buffalo Trace distillery, and Chris Stapleton, and a bottle of John A. P. Connelly whiskey. This is another North Carolina product. It's difficult to find their products in stock. I like the rye and have never had their whiskey. But they had two bottles of whiskey, so I grabbed one to try. They also had a bottle of Bookers on the shelf, which is also difficult to find. In fact, I've only ever found it here. 5 stars all day long.

I came here one day because they had Buffalo Trace, which is very hard to find, and I wanted to get some for my dad. While I was here, I discovered a vodka seltzer variety pack made from Dogfish Head. I love this brewery so I just had to try it! This is the only ABC store I've visited that had this seltzer as well as so many coolers. I appreciate being able to get a pack that's already cold after a long day at work.
