We ate here after looking around for something close and the food looked good in the pictures on Yelp. When we got there, we had about a 35-40 minute wait. They texted us and the text provided a wait list showing what place we were in the queue, and much was pretty nice. For the appetizer, we got the Crab Spinach Dip, which was odd in and of itself because the menu says it has artichokes but doesn't mention spinach. It came with chips and was very tasty. I must admit I was a little disappointed in the portion. The bowl of dip was not full and while the chips did cover the amount of dip, it wasn't very much. For dinner, I got the Fish & Chips, Fries and Cole Slaw. It wasn't bad. Not the best I've ever had, but not bad. I'd probably try something else next time. My wife got the Crab Imperial, which was very good. She also got a Bloody Mary to go with her meal. My son got the Big Shrimp with Saffron rice and broccoli, which was very good. Our friend got the Big Chicken with what looked like pureed Yams. He thought it was decent. The highlight was the dessert, which was the Double Chocolate Cake and a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. The wedge salad is where we first tried it and few others compare to it! It's a must try and can be shared with 2 or more people. They have daily specials, sushi and traditional diah dishes. My husband and I have always gone to this spot in the past previous years. We deicded to do takeout and it was a worst mistake. We both took out our order out of the bag and we were like where is our food ? We both got the broiled combo and we substitute out the scallops to the shrimp. I went back inside and spoken to the manager and she advised me that since we substitute out the scallops we only get a second shrimp. We ordered take out on the advice of friends we are staying with, and the food was fine, but woefully insufficient for four people. They gave us six asparagus spears in the side order of asparagus... six. The seafood fried sampler whatever would sounded like they're a big thing. It cost 50 bucks with fried oysters about four fried shrimp and a few fried scallops fit in one clam shell holder. If I'm gonna pay well over 70 bucks for a meal with three dishes in it, I expect that four people should be able to be filled up. We were not. The food was fine, but not spectacular; American unhealthy grub. Lots of fried food not a lot of creativity. Also, they forgot to give us the main order and I had to go back for it. I've been here several times before and always had top notch service and excellent food. This visit was no different. My party of four, two adults, one senior, and a teenager came in today for lunch. We started with drinks, wine and a cocktail. Then had calamari and a Greek salad for appetizer that we all shared. For entrées, three of us had the build your own fish platter. Where you pick your fish, your preparation and your sauce. We all made very different selections and all completely enjoyed our fish platters. My wife ordered the grilled scallops lunch. Again, everyone really enjoyed their lunch. We got the peanut butter pie to go. The lunch was so filling we needed some time before we could enjoy dessert. Our server was Anderson and he could not have been more fast, attentive, and helpful. This is a place we always look forward to coming while we're in town. Highly recommend a visit. I dined at Big Fish Grill along after having arrived in RB as it is walking distance from the condo. The parking lot always appears full, yet i have not once needed to wait any significant length of time to be greeted and seated, even after a dozen or more visits here. Perhaps it was because I dined solo is why I was placed on the other side of the window immediately behind the reception desk. Hannah arrived to welcome me within a minute, took my beverage order, and answered my questions regarding the menu. She was pleasant, affable, comely, and attentive. The restaurant was nearly full, thus the noise level was commensurate high, although not unpleasant. The spiritous libations served evidently caused some diners to use their outside voices in an indoor setting. My food was delivered with my selection having been the grilled salmon with rice and a side of French fries. Unless you crave salt licks, I'd suggest that your ask your Hannah that there be either none or little salt on your fries as precious experience here has taught me. The salmon and sides were quite tasty with ample serving size. Not just with Hannah, but I noticed that pretty much all servers were hustling and doing a great job at customer service, and I not once saw the demeanor of a young person who seemed to resent having a place of employment. Consistent with my previous reviews, this remains one of my top ten local dining spots for either lunch or dinner. The venue features a sushi-raw bar alongside two separate bars. For this visit, our group of four--which included two friends I treated to lunch--arrived just after the lunchtime rush. We were accommodated at Table 75, a spacious six-person table. I opted out of cocktails since I am currently on the wagon, but thoroughly enjoyed the Big Fish tuna sushi roll for $15. Our server, Noah B., provided excellent service throughout the meal. The total bill came to $111 before gratuity, which earned me 111 points in the Atlas rewards program toward the 500 points needed for a $10 food credit. Big fish used to be one of our favorite places to go to, but the quality of their food has gone down. I had the saddest fish and chips in a long time there the other night. The crispness was on point, but the portion was this tiny single piece of fish with more breading than fish. And for $25. The rest of the entrees with my party were also disappointing. We LOVE Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth and every year we come down for the summer it has become tradition that it is our first stop for lunch- why? Because the freshness of its seafood dishes is beyond top notch, the service is SO friendly, and the Crushes, oh the crushes are too good! Then, still waiting on the last one. Finally a manager-type person comes over to ask what I ordered, so it doesn't seem to be a kitchen holdup, it seems my meal never got made. Meanwhile my kids are halfway done with their food. I get that things happen, but when 9/10 people have food, this should've been figured out far faster than it was. This restaurant is affordable, delicious, fresh. The service is warm, friendly, humble and caring. It is a place with a lot of space where it feels like home. The waitress gave very good advice and the rockfish was near perfection. The sides were very well prepared, as well as the corn and beans salsa. This is a must go restaurant in Rehoboth Beach. Their menu has something for everyone with seafood being very high quality. Glad they have a large venue because there is usually a crowded parking lot every night here for dinner. It can get pretty loud in here with so many diners. **raw poultry warning I rarely leave reviews, but I left Big Fish Grill today feeling genuinely upset and incredibly disappointed. Thanksgiving dinner is something I look forward to every year, and I trusted this restaurant to deliver a special meal as they have in years past. I don't know if this is a reflection on the new ownership (although all signs suggest it is) as we've had amazing experiences with the turkey and thanksgiving takeout the past 5 years. I won't even get into the rest of the atlas groups new downgrade in quality and offerings since the changed ownership across their Rehoboth restaurants. The menus and food have lost the love and care that Big Fish consistently delivered historically. My family are long term Big Fish supporters and actual employees and want nothing more than continued success. Instead, I was served turkey that was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Twice. The wings were burnt and crispy, not in a good way. Did I miss the part where we ordered a deep fried frozen turkey?! But cutting into a holiday meal and finding uncooked poultry was honestly a quite startling surprise -- not just inconvenient, but unsettling on a level I wasn't prepared for. The staff did apologize, and offered a full refund, which we really appreciated. After our first bad bird, we went back to get a new turkey and lo and behold, this turkey also was unfortunately raw at the core. I wouldn't want to be part of Beebe's staff tonight as I fear there may be a few unwell families tonight given we were 0-2 on our turkeys. Raw poultry isn't a minor mistake; it's a basic safety issue that should never have made it out of the kitchen. This is an issue that should have been addressed immediately rather than reactively. Where was the mass recall effort once they got 10 raw turkey calls? I don't want to sound ungrateful for the employees working on a holiday, and they were so kind when we shared our issue, but it was the foundational issue that was inexcusable. I truly hope this sparks a serious look at kitchen oversight, because no guest should have to feel the way I did at what was supposed to be a comforting, celebratory dinner. read more

We had been coming to Big Fish Grill for over 25 years. it is certainly not the same since new owners. Caramelized Salmon is ok but not the way it used to be. Hostess was not pleasant. (never smiled) Deli is completely different featuring more merchandise than deli items. Pecan crust has been totally ruined! (spicy with few crushed pecans) I ended up throwing it away. House salad was a confusing mess. Weird dressing-=no more maple vinaigrette! Olives and onions and no walnuts! After 25 years and over 12,000 in reward points and many wonderful meals and deli treats, I will not be returning. Very disappointing! read more

My family celebrated my 50th anniversary of marriage at the Big Fish Grill two years ago. We enjoyed the food so much that we couldn't wait to get back to have another meal. Sorry to say the meal we had last Thursday was a disappointment. The clams on a half shell were so small, stuck to the shells and were tasteless. The Oysters were just as bad. The big disappointment was the fried calamari. The menu states the calamari are flash fried which I thought meant crispy and not greasy. They were soaked in grease and at the the bottom of dish was a layer of greasy oil. The rest of the meal was ok but nowhere like we remembered the previous time. On the positive side we had a nice waiter and were treated well by the staff. I hope you make the appropriate improvements to the food quality so that customers can enjoy value commensurate with the premium pricing. read more

We have become regulars at Big Fish this summer, since have been staying here the last few months. We love the food, both the seafood platters and sushi are always on our table. The freshness of the food and prompt service are consistent, each visit. We have become fond of two servers in particular: Peyton and Regan. Both always greet us with warm hellos, even when super busy. They are willing to share recommendations and my wife now always orders a margarita...she said best at the beach. Tara at the bar makes the best crushes and always remembers what we drink! Great food, service and a staff that has incredible team work! Service was great. $71 for lunch two people was over priced for what we got. Spinach and crab dip which was presented on this large platter that consisted of maybe a 1/3 cup of dip and tortilla chips. Cheeseburger and fries, Shrimp salad sandwich that had piled high lettuce, two very thin slices of tomatoes and slice of red onion which was more than the Shrimp. It was so thick and not with jumbo shrimp that I had a hard time cutting it in half. My side was Sweet potato mashers ( mashed sweet potatoes with stringy fibers that you could not chew and a sour taste) instead of fries. Two ginger ales and a heavenly Chocolate cake dessert which made up for the Shrimp salad sandwich and Sweet potatoes. I want to give credit due for that dessert. This is a staple restaurant in the area and well known for fresh seafood. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. We ordered the bag bang shrimp for an app and it was decent 8/10. The mixed grill was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly as requested but I felt it lacked flavor. Unfortunately the only real negative and loss of star was the searing. We were super uncomfortable in our booth. It was very narrow and tight and we felt incredibly squished. The menu is very extensive and the drinks we ordered were decent. The service was great The execution of 1/2 of the food was VERY disappointing The least expensive entree was very good (the Scottish salmon). The other 3 entrees were subpar! The bang bang shrimp was very good! The broiled seafood platter was bland... The pan seared calamari was very rubbery! The other 2 entrees we had, had allergy concerns... They really tried to be accommodating but ended up sending out very bland pieces of fish, forgetting to add the salsas and sauces.
