We were here visiting for a few days and ate when we got here and ate on the way home. This is the BEST burger place I have eaten at within 40 states. Their meat is fresh and they have fresh cut fries and delicious hand scooped ice cream, and of course the service is also wonderful! I wish we had a place like this at home. Big jud's known for their one pounder. A delicious burger with a nice bun and juicy meaty patty, it was hard to get my mouth on it. If your a clean freak don't go here the food is massive; it will get all over you. I have tried the bleu cheese burger, was good sauce wasn't overwhelming, the meat was tender and the cheese perfect. Messy though! The fries are handcut but honestly not that tasty. There okay quality. Okay the bad. Place is old, and in the middle of no where. Servers are mediocre only coming occasionally, and if their packed don't expect much. We waited for our food and received it after others who came before, they give bigger groups higher priority. Big Jud's is in the top 3 burgers I've had in my life. It's a classic style burger with amazing quality. It's just an amazing classic burger, albeit huge. We comfortably split one burger between three people, with some fries. Their fries are also fantastic, fresh and real. They also have great fry sauce, some of the best you can get. read more

The food here is good, but the service has definitely gone downhill. Tonight, since we were coming in 30 minutes before they closed, I thought they would appreciate me calling ahead to place my dine-in order so we didn't keep them long after closing time. We were told by phone we could not place our order yet, even though there was no wait currently. After arriving 5 minutes later, we hardly got acknowledged and had to sit and wait for a table that was available when we arrived. The party seated just ahead of us already had their food by the time we were led to our table. To make things worse, the servers took the orders of two other parties (including a large group) who were seated after us in the back room. We've eaten here several times and have had great food every time. I first took the family mostly because of the big burger gimmick, but discovered that the food is really of good quality. The beef in the burgers is excellent, the buns fresh and soft, the condiments fresh and generous, and the fries and tots are excellent. What do they do to make the tots so good? Juds had amazing burgers. Very filling. Sweet potato waffle fries were great. This place carries sriacha, fry sauce, ketchup, and bbq sauce.

My friends and I kept on hearing about his place and how great it was so we decided to drop by and give it a try. In all honesty, the burgers were not that good. The waitress was a jerk too. When we asked her for recommendations she just gave us attitude. Not to mention the restaurant was pretty dirty. The only times we saw our waitress was when she took our order and dropped off our food. This place is a joke. Now that the Hickory opened in town there really is no reason to go out to this dump. Been here many times and every single time we have lousy service, today put me over the edge. Sat approximately at 5:30 watched everyone who sat after us get drinks and even food delivered. At 6:15 I decided I had had enough. No one approached us in the 45 min we sat there. I had enough, got up and headed for the door. My husband told them no one even acknowledged us for 40 min and they quickly did the uh don't know whose table you were and both waitresses were quick to blame each other. Good thing my two kids are super patient and agreeable. Tonight for dinner we did Chik-fil-a after we drove back to town because we mean nothing to a restaurant we drove 20 minutes to eat at. I went there around 6 pm on a friday and the place was packed. we got the last seat in the joint and they brought out the food really fast given the amount of people there. what i really like about this place was how they totally let my wife and I trade our soft drinks in for a extra fry free of charge. the waitress was super nice and make it quite enjoyable. Definitely the best burgers in eastern Idaho. The mushroom bacon burger is great. The fries are large cuts of Idaho spuds and are not breaded, which is great. They also have sweet potato fries, tater tots, and onion rings. No need to order a large drink as the small size is big. The staff is friendly, but stretched thin, so please be nice. Plan on waiting for a table for 15-30 minutes on Friday and Saturday evenings. Lastly, make certain you bring a big appetite! read more

I lived in the Archer area in high school, and always loved the burgers and home cut fries. Going back with my kids was something I looked forward to. The food was still as good (or better) than I remembered and the prices are very reasonable; however the service would keep me from going back. We got our drinks just before our food, and the waitress never came back to offer refills until we were ready to go. In fact in the 40+ min we were in the restaurant we she only came by our table 3 times! Hospitality is not for the faint of heart and I think they should take that into account when they hire wait staff in the future! read more

The only reason we gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because we didn't care for the natural cut fries; they were good but not the style we like. We love to take our visitors there whenever we can. Their food is 4 stars, but their customer service is a 10. One time when I went, their power was out. I had driven over an hour to go here, and I was really sad. It obviously wasn't their fault, but I was just angry at the situation. Turns out that they were still open for business. They had seriously lit candles and lanterns, and were using the last of their gas to run the grill. They had a limited menu that night, since all the electronic devices were non-functional. But they still were able to get a burger out, and it was fantastic. I hear they were open WAY past closing that day in order to help people out. read more

I set out yesterday afternoon for a tasty burger, got shot down at another place and decided to drive out to Archer. There are a million burger choices on the menu the portions are very generous and the staff is super friendly! In addition to the regular burger selection they have the GIANT burgers on the back page, feeding anywhere from one really adventurous person to 8 as stated on the menu. I opted for the double patty Reuben burger a large fry and a soda (which by the way is served in a 32oz cup. Not a large just the regular size I guess). The pastrami was excellent and the 1000 island wasn't overly sweet. They also have malts! Wha?!? Holy cow, delicious! More than just my appetite was contented last night. Thanks guys! read more

I've been here often, plan on waiting, both to get a table and then to receive your order. Not to scare anyone away, but plan a couple of hours. This isn't fast food. The burgers are really good, not outstanding but good. If you haven't been here you have to get the big burger just for the novelty but I really think the smaller burgers are better. The burger bun is specially made for them and is outstanding, just a fantastic bun. The lettuce, pickle etc. are always fresh and really compliment the burger. Service is hit or miss. We have had really great service here and we have had really poor service. I often visit both this location and the one in Ashton. The service is usually a little better in Ashton and the food is usually a little better in Archer. They also have iron port in both locations which is one of my favorite beverages and tbh a real reason I keep coming back. read more
