We always visit this location when we are in town the guys working tonight we're awesome very friendly the food was great.

Great food and service. The shakes are super. We live in Washington State, but every time we go to rexburg we make a visit here.

Ohhhhh, yeah! Jud's is doin' it, and doin' it, and doing it well! If you luv your burgers, fries n milkshake, THIS is the place. Mmm, mmmm, mmm. My friend lives in Rexburg and told me I had to eat at Big Jud's and boy was she right. We drove along a lil country road on the outskirts of Rexburg. When you see the house that's buried underground (only their roof is visible), then you know you're almost there. Adorable view of green farmlands, baby colts and tiny furry baby cows along the way too (I'm from San Diego so these are things I noticed as a tourist to your town). Anyhow, Jud's is a small n cozy diner with big eats. Adam from the Man vs Food tv show ate here. They have a "1 Pound" challenge with plenty of photos of the winners, and then a "2 Pound Challenge"--- not so many photos, and I cannot believe anyone can conquer this one! My burger was probably a third pound, and filled me up, so major kudos to those wild ones who take either challenge! The menu has their popular burgers highlighted. They have beef and chicken burgers. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with small fries and a lemonade. The place was packed and our food was ready in record time-- I couldn't believe it. My cold pink lemonade was enormous, in fact I could only drink half. My burger was picture perfect! The bun was excellent, toasted to perfection and baked to handle all the goodness in between. The patty had a nice outer BBQ char, grilled onions, slightly soft thick cut bacon, crisp lettuce, ripe deep red tomatoes, pickles, and gooey cheese. Oh. Heaven. Help. Me. I ate it all. Stuffed myself even more with Jud's fresh cut fries. Thick and believe it or not, there was a creaminess to them. Is that how Idaho potatoes are?? They weren't crumbly and dry like a russet. I loved those fries! Had a fantastic time dipping them in their famous "Fry Sauce" (that's a Utah and Idaho thing--- in SoCal we have ketchup). Now mind you, the fries were a 'small' and I shared the basket with my friend. I managed to shove a couple spoonfuls of my friend's thick, rich chocolate shake and then called myself done! Wow. If you couldn't tell by now, I give good ole Big Jud's a big thumbs up and five glorious stars. If you are ever near Rexburg, take the time to drive on over and eat top notch, all-American, huge portioned, fresh-made, mouthwatering food over at BIG JUD's where the staff is friendly, smiley, and ready to serve! Hit up Big Judd's again tonight while in the area. The burger was great. Burgers here are consistently well seasoned & well dressed. We went for a round of tots tonight and they were hot and crispy. A little light on the salt but IMHO better than the fries. The fries are fresh cut so they won't ever be able to meet my standard of crispy. read more

This place is insane, hamburgers the size of your plate! Fresh cut fries from Idaho potatoes are amazing and the fry sauce is great! The ice cream is good and the place is always packed. You can feed four people for $25 which is hard to beat, and the burgers can be customized. read more

Stopped in here with my Sister and Brother-in-law. I will say this is out in the middle of nowhere. We shared one of their 1lb burgers as wells a tots and fries. Overall very tasty. The wait staff was friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was cooked just the way we wanted. read more

If you've ever craved a burger before, this is the burger you were craving. It's a great burger. Delicious patty, good all around. Not the best I've ever eaten, but the classic burger experience. The milkshakes are RIDICULOUSLY good. Do not miss those shakes. The huckleberry milkshake was so so delicious, and so was the moose tracks. Since you're in Idaho, you have to get the fries. The fries, in my opinion, are the best fries I've ever had. However, they're really close to in n out fries but better, so if you like them you'll love these. If you don't love in n out fries you'll think the fries are pretty mediocre, but the fry sauce is delicious so you'll enjoy it as well. The portions are doable for the normal burgers. One large fry was enough for five people (this is not an exaggeration. Get one large/five people, maybe one large one small). Overall highly recommend for a solid American burger, delicious Idaho fries, and the best milkshake you've ever had. Don't be daunted by crowds. Awesome staff that knows how to handle large herds of farm polk. We checked into what looked like an overflowing family reunion hot spot on a saturday during 4th of July weekend. Ventured out to a local farm to kill the time, ended up on a tandem bike ride and tailgate ride down to the snake river. Returned just in time for delicious greasy spoon goodness. They have something for everyone. We had a vegetarian in our midst in small town Idaho, no problem...veggie burger sub. Fresh idaho French fries, they'll convert any sandwich into an awesome salad, and good gooey cheese bacon concoction of a burger on a nice soft bun. Going all in now with a chocolate malt. Yum! We always order the big jud and split it in 4ths. The fries are the bomb! Just wish they had a bigger place, it's always so packed that you feel like your sitting on top of everyone. Stopped here while traveling from Yellowstone. Definitely worth driving a few miles off the main road. Delicious onion rings and fries. Fried pickles were good, too. If you aren't paying attention you are going to drive by this little gem. The burgers are second to none. Simple, yet delicious ingredients make for a classic burger. Even noteworthy is the bread used for the buns...making for a top to bottom delicious burger. Gotta get the 1lb burger if no other reason the novelty of seeing a 1lb burger, but don't worry it too is delicious. Fresh Idaho potatoes make for some near perfect Fries!! A lot has been said about Big Jud's. The reviewers are correct. Great burgers and fantastic fries. (BTW, the small fries are enough for 2 people.) I wanted to mostly comment on the veggie burger. I had the veggie burger patty on the mushroom burger. It was great! Thank you for having a non-meat option. If you are not paying attention you may miss it on the menu, it is in small print at the top of the menu. Note that it is $1 more to substitute the vegi patty for a meat patty. I'm not sure why that is. It doesn't make any sense to me, but I'm just glad they offer it. Thanks! read more

Something people don't talk about at burger joints is the bun. The buns at Jud's are some of the best I've ever had. Especially on one of the eponymous Big Jud burgers with the 1lb patty. Kind of a pain to get to, but worth it. I like the ice cream available and its general atmosphere. Only been there AFTER going to college in Rexburg. Weird. I wish I had been here while I was still a teen. I coulda easily been on the double- or triple-patty wall of fame. Every time I'm in rexburg, I have to go there. I'll be back. read more

Free cat with our meal. We love big Judds. Our family goes here about once every six weeks and the freshly made food never disappoints. We split the special for four or five of us and always leave full. We also like them because we found a beautiful stray cat there nearly two years ago. The staff liked her so much they took care of her up to that point. Very kind people. read more

Come with an appettite for sure! Being a California, I have tried all kinds of burgers but never had I seen one this large! It was huge and I just ordered the single so I can only image the monster burgers the folks at Big Jud's can create. The meat is flavorful and I do agree there is a little too much bread but how else could I expect it to be held together. I really enjoy their fry sauce. I really wish I would have saved room for the ice cream, sure looked yummy. read more

We had to search for this place it was kind of out of the way and in the middle of nowhere. It was worth driving and finding the place. It was super busy we had a 25-minute wait to eat. Once we got seated the waitress was very friendly got our order in right away. Our Burgers came within about 10 minutes and all the food was fantastic and the french fries were out of this world really good fresh cut fries. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in town to check it out. read more
