    Mac salad
    Phamhong G.

**CASH ONLY RIGHT NOW** I first had this food when it was catered at a party. I enjoyed it so much, I asked my friend where she got the food and bookmarked the yelp. There is no working website/online menu and I couldn't trust the old menu photos, so I waited to arrive at the restaurant to order. The bbq ribs were discontinued about 10 years ago because it got too expensive, which was a let down. The only thing I really like about this place is that you can order things as a "side" or "extra" depending on how much you want to spend/how hungry you are. The cashier was really nice and patient with me. I'm giving 2 stars because the Mac salad was the worst I've ever had in my life from a Hawaiian place; it tasted and looked old. It had a strange after taste and after two bites of it, I was done. The bbq beef is a 10/10 and the only reason I'd come back here. My biggest issue though is that they trick you into thinking you're getting a full portion of meat but they stuff a thick layer of cabbage underneath the meat, so you're barely getting anything. If I had known this, I would've told them no cabbage, please give me full beef, and I'll even pay extra for it. I bought a plate and somehow the cabbage came up in conversation and I asked for no cabbage, so they put a layer of rice instead to fluff up the meat. And for the $8 side of bbq beef, it was such a small amount of beef and a huge layer of cabbage!!!! The meal was a huge disappointment and we were still hungry after this meal.

It's a small place but the food is really good. I had the teriyaki chicken with macaroni salad and white rice. I was actually craving macaroni salad and someone suggested this place to me. The macaroni salad was perfect. (It satisfied my craving) The chicken and teriyaki sauce was delicious. The lady who worked there was friendly and I didn't have to wait very long in line or to receive my order. The prices were affordable for the amount of food you receive.

We went in and tried their Chicken Katsu, BBQ Beef and Fried Shrimp. Wow! One of the best teriyaki in town we've had. The food was freshly cooked after we ordered and tasted really delicious with their sauce. Staff are friendly as well. Overall, great value and ambience. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Very tasty Hawaiian food and Chinese food. I went to Hawaii recently and I still had a craving for Hawaiian food as I like the flavor of L&Ds better than what I had in Maui. I like getting the chicken katsu and bbq beef combination plate. My wife likes the chicken teriyaki bowl.

Came here for dinner on a weekday evening with some cousins. Super casual, no real ambience, just a counter to order at, and tables on one side, but it's clean. We ordered chicken katsu and BBQ beef that came with rice and macaroni salad. I ordered a side of veggies to go with it. Now, I'm not much of a katsu person, but ordered it bc my cousin recommended it. Very, very good. Not oily or greasy, flavorful white meat tender and juicy, and the breading was nice and crispy. The katsu sauce it comes with wasn't too salty or overbearing. The BBQ beef was also good. Flavored but not too salty, and tender! Not chewy or dry at all. Yum! It's always disappointing when the food is good, but the rice sucks. Not here. The rice was cooked perfectly. And macaroni was cool and creamy. The veggies I got on the side was boiled and cooked soft. It helped to lighten the otherwise heavy meal. The folks behind the counter and in the kitchen are like a quiet auntie and uncle.. soft spoken, didn't say much, but all good vibes.. Prices are really good too! Servings are more than generous! Definitely a place to try if in the area!

Very small portions compared to another very popular Hawaiian BBQ in the area and I paid just as much.

The beef alone is 5/5, the chicken katsu was a little thin but not bad at all. Their egg rolls are fresh and definitely a must try

Rice was good. Egg rolls tasted old & steak was tough & chewy. Save your money. Such a disappointment.

My coworker ended up calling in and was able to order it, so that worked out. The wonton chips were crunchy and held up well. The poke tasted fresh and not fishy or old, which I always appreciate. Overall it hit the spot. I ended up finding the restaurant on Uber Eats and saw they actually have the poke nachos listed there. I ordered it that way, but noticed there weren't any options to add extra toppings. From the first time we ordered, I remember the seaweed and crab were on the lighter side, so I wish they had an option to add more online. I called to see if I could add extra, but ended up deciding not to, due to pricing differences. When I my order was delivered, they included it for me anyway, which I appreciated. That was really nice of them. The poke nachos were good. I just wish they would add a little more seaweed and crab or at least give the option to add more of it online. Regardless, I will be back when I'm craving poke nachos again.

Number 1 complaint is that they don't use Aloha Soy Sauce, which completely changes the flavor profile of everything. Kalua Pig was bland, under salted, a little dry but was okay. Teri Chicken, were thighs and seasoned with some other kind of soy sauce, you can tell by how light brown they are. They were okay, but a little dry. Mac Salad was pretty decent, best thing on the plate. Rice had too much water so it had poor texture. Worst thing was the spam musubi. Just the shape and the flavor and it was slathered in sauce, you don't need to do this for spam musubi, just marinate for a while and cook it. Overall was really mid. Nothing was really bad, but nothing was really good, except the Mac salad. Wouldn't go here again.
