Overall high quality food, good portions, fair pricing. The service was friendly, just a bit overwhelmed that caused delays. Parking was easy

Craving a philly cheesesteak? I recommend them here! I got a six inch and it was packed with so much meat! I just wish the meat had a little more flavor. I asked for mayo and ketchup to add a bit more flavor. The garlic parm fries were so good!!!! Good balance between crunchy and soft. Now the service is great! The cashier is so nice and patient. She brought out the food quickly - everything was still steamy! Perfect! The restaurant is small but lots of room to sit down! It was hot that day but felt cool inside!

Got the Philly Cheesesteak with Provolone and Mushrooms plus an order of Onion Rings. The meat was flavorful. The roll was soft. The Onion Ring"s batter was light and crispy. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Big Mikes is a local favorite because it's quaint but very good. They have good parking lot in the back and easy to access in a strip mall. We got their Sausage sandwich, Italian sandwich and Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The sausage sandwich comes with a grilled homemade patty placed between slices of bread. It includes additional toppings like sautéed onions, peppers, mustard, or marinara sauce. Their Philly cheesesteak is a classic sandwich consists of thinly sliced beefsteak, cooked on a grill or griddle, and served on a long, crusty roll. The steak is often topped with melted cheese, Additional toppings can include sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, and hot peppers. The sandwich is savory, hearty flavor and is a popular choice for lunch or dinner with the locals.

I was wanting a Philly Cheesesteak bad... cause sometimes you just need one right :) So we went to that magical SouthBay spot where Redondo Beach, Torrance & Hermosa Beach come together LOL That's where you will find Big Mike's in a little strip mall on 190th Street. We ordered a couple of large cheesesteaks sandwiches & garlic cheese fries :) Well for two people this was a lot of food... A lot of cheesy, cheesy good food :) We almost finished it too leaving just pieces of roll & fry scraps LOL For me the Garlic Cheese Fries were the star of the show, fresh w/ lots of garlic & cheese wiz... YUM!!! Now I prefer cheese wiz for a real Philly Cheesesteak but I ordered wrong (my fault the menu is pretty clear) and got provolone. It was still delicious but next time I will definitely order mine with cheese wiz :) The shop was clean and the staff very friendly. There is plenty of seating inside and even a few tables outside. Parking is available in front with more in the rear. This is a pretty popular local spot and I'm sure you will enjoy it :)

Had plenty of carne asada mixed with other ingredients that packed plenty of flavor. Pricing not too bad especially for the portions that you get. Service is perfectly fine, can order ahead too. Overall would def come back especially if looking for something filling.

You order inside and pick up your food at the window outside, and the whale mural surrounding the pickup window is such a fun, memorable touch. There are a couple of benches outside if you want to eat there, although I noticed most people seemed to grab their food to go. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the Cash Burger, and it was packed with flavor. The burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Even a simple burger here tastes like it was made with care. The truffle Parmesan fries were another standout--crispy, flavorful, and completely addictive. We also tried two dipping sauces: the habanero cream and the chipotle. Both were delicious and added a unique twist to the burger and fries, but the habanero cream was definitely my favorite. It's not often you find sauces that elevate an already great meal this much. My only suggestion would be to improve the outdoor seating area. The benches could use a little more attention, and having a better trash setup would make eating outside much more enjoyable. One thing that really sold me was my one-year-old. She absolutely devoured the burger! I usually have to work to get her to eat anything besides quesadillas, and even In-N-Out can be hit or miss with her, so that says a lot. Overall, I'm so glad we stopped here. Between the amazing food, fun atmosphere, and beach-town vibe, I'd happily go out of my way to come back. If you're anywhere nearby, don't miss this spot!

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

But something always kept me at bay, and I think it was the pizza sauce. Yes, you can ask for no pizza sauce, but maybe that's the magic that keeps folks coming back? Who knows? For transparency, I ordered my first cheesesteak from them online, not in person. For me, a cheesesteak needs three things: cheese, chopped beef, and grilled onions -- and maybe a squirt of mayo. Don't come down on me, but that's how I like 'em. The sandwich had good weight in my hand, although it was a little smaller compared to some others I have had. It smelled great, but honestly, it was just OK. Nothing really stood out. The cheese disappeared into the meat and bread, and the steak could have used a little more seasoning. I ate half and decided to put the rest aside for later. Why? Because my other favorite thing to eat is hot dogs -- and I ordered one of those too! So let's talk about what comes to mind when you hear "hot dogs." You picture a plump hot dog in a bun with mustard, relish, maybe some onions, all served on a steamed bun -- maybe with sesame or poppy seeds if you're lucky. Nope. This hot dog was served in the same type of roll as the cheesesteak, with two hot dogs split in half, trying to look like they were cooked on the flattop. I think they may have just been boiled. Then, on top of that, you get lettuce, tomatoes, and maybe a squirt of mustard. I thought, "OK, this is different. It still has hot dogs in it!" So I removed the lettuce and tomatoes and gave it another try. Unfortunately, the flavor just wasn't there for me. I didn't check if they were labeled as ALL-BEEF hot dogs or if they were simply "hot dogs," which could be a blend of beef, turkey, pork, and chicken. I pulled one of the dogs out and took a bite -- and I just couldn't finish it. Sorry guys, but this one was a pass for me. I went back to the other half of my cheesesteak and happily finished it off. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe I'll try it again with the pizza sauce? Many other reviewers love their sandwiches, so maybe I just caught them on an off day. We'll see. If I do go back, I'll come back and let everyone know how it went. Happy eating, everyone! What have you eaten today?

I placed my order through their website, everything showed that their business is OPEN and running, nothing wrong. I arrive to 358 W 38th St and realize it's a food hub (multiple restaurants in one location) I call the restaurant to confirm my order and pick up time and the disrespectful service was what really made me write this review. He answers and says that the restaurant is CLOSED DOWN. The kitchen is not open and he cannot help me by explaining if there is an alternative location which I can pick up my food, goes ahead and says by good faith he will give me a refund and he hangs up. I attempted to try to see if anyone was here, the place is EMPTY. I rang the ring bell camera, no answer. I called back just to have the same person hang up on me 4 more times without taking the time to ask for my information to issue a refund, HE WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. It was filled with a good amount of meat. I could used more peppers and onions but I could only eat half the sandwich. It was delicious with the cheese whiz. This is not your mall sandwich. The food was hot the fries were crispy and had fresh garlic. The food was absolutely delicious! It was so worth taking the chance.
