Walking around the mall and went to the food court. All the usual suspects except this one 1- food Not an expert in Philly steak. It seemed fine. Stopped at Charley's Cheesesteaks while walking through the food court at Del Amo Mall. It had seemed appetizing so I went for it. Thinking it was a little pricey for the amount of meat I received on the bun and an ice tea. The meat and cheese was clumped in the center of the roll and not evenly distributed. Service was okay and average. It's located in a food court so it's a noisy part of the mall. Good if you're hungry, but not sure I'll go back. read more

The amount of meat on the sandwich is like three slices chopped, not enough to fill the base of the bread, compared to the advertised picture. There is more cheese than the meat. Both cheese and meat lack flavor. The bread is soft and fresh, but they don't bother toasting the bread. This the laziest and stingiest cheesesteak sandwich ever. There is a good side though. The ingredients are fresh. The lemonade drink is also very good on the spot. read more

Perfectly decent cheese-steak sandwiches. If you are in the south bay, this is more-or-less the same as Capriotti's, but a bit less than what the Torrance Crossroads outlet of Philly's Best offers. However, I take great offense that they call this (in their name, no less) a "Philly" cheesesteak sandwich. It is as far away from being a "Philly" cheesesteak sandwich as you can get and still have it made from steak, cheese, and a roll. For authenticity and the best tasting "Philly" cheesesteak sandwich, you still have to go up into Los Angeles to (a) 3347 feet east of Fairfax & Pico, or (b) a brick-and-mortar store in Koreatown across the street from what used to be the Ambassador hotel (RFK assassination site). I won't explicitly name these places so that nobody can accuse me of being a stealth marketeer. read more

Skimpy sandwich contents and bread was probably frozen at some point. Price was okay but wasn't really satisfied with it being a meal, more like a snack between meals. Also cheese wasn't fully melted so you can imagine the contents were really hot enough when served. read more

I experienced the worst Philly cheesesteak in my life. The cheese was like chewing rubber. They used old hot dog bread for their sandwiches--it was not subbread. The quality of the meat and its mixing with vegetables, including green paper and onion, was a disaster for that price. I do not recommend it to anybody. read more

Charleys Philly Steak is now at Del Amo Mall! Located at the main food court is Charleys and it's a place that's all about the classic sandwich from Philly! They have several different cheesesteaks to choose from. They have chicken, steak and even a veggie delight. Among some of the unique philly steak offerings are buffalo, teriyaki, jalapeño or Italian style. Sandwiches are offered in small (6 inch), regular (8 inch) or large (10 inch). Aside from sandwiches; they also offer regular fries and gourmet fries; cheese, cheese and bacon or ultimate. They also offer different lemonades. Since it was my first time trying Charleys at Del Amo; I opted for Philly Cheesesteak. I wanted to go classic before venturing into some of the more unique flavors. The Philly Cheesesteak had grilled onions, mushrooms, green peppers and white American cheese on top of several thin, tender pieces of beef steak. I was impressed that they were not skimpy on the toppings! Overall this is a nice addition to the foodcourt! It's always great to have a great place for philly steaks! read more

Today I stopped by the Del Amo Mall food court. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, fries and a drink. When my order was placed on a tray and handed to me, there was a very long hair, about 4 inches long sitting on top of the cheese and sandwich. I politely reported the problem to an Asian lady who handed me my food. She immediately had my sandwich and fries replaced. There wasn't much of an apology and not too much empathy. I ordered a regular sized chicken Philly and a regular sized strawberry lemonade. The sandwich was delicious and fresh but by no means the best Philly cheese steak. I had to pick out some cucumbers and tomatoes because it was too thick for me to bite on. I didn't really enjoy having to pick out the falling ingredients because it made my hands smell greasy, so that is my deduction of one star. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing, but I do wonder about the sugar content. I didn't even bother checking. Another star deducted for the price because everything has gone up and I can't stand the rising costs of food. I don't plan on going back to this place because it's once in a blue moon that I eat fast food at a mall. In conclusion to this review, It's not fun to wander the mall with greasy, Philly cheese steak smelling hands. Hopefully no one noticed. read more

Practice makes perfect. New location inside the Del Amo mall next to Stone Oven. They are definitely training hard to get a good assembly line going. Food is always good. Good portions and very good customer service. It's clean a lot of nervous faces but it seems they have trained staff for it. read more

Sadly this was the worst sandwich/philly I've ever eaten. Perhaps the cheese steaks would havw actually been better but the Chicken California was absolutely terrible. It had no flavor what so ever despite having ranch and cheese put on it. The only saving grace was the pickle... That had flavor. But in all honestly it was so bad i couldn't even finish eating it. I took a few bites hoping by the middle of one half it would get better but it didnt. The picture attached shows how much i literally tossed... I dropped the sandwich devastated i just spent money on it to take a freaking picture and show how it looks good.. But it is not! I'd never order a philly from there again scared id get something else flavorless. The cheese fries are normal, most likely the only good thing. The blueberry lemonaid was amazing, id order it again. Best Philly in the south bay! Ordered via Postmates and my sandwich wasn't the slightest bit soggy. That's my gripe with most Philly spots. I saw this at Del Amo mall and decided to give it a try. It was pretty early in the day so there wasn't anyone else in line, so no waiting to order and it was ready in a few minutes. I ordered the regular Philly Cheesesteak with everything on it. I went with the combo so it came with fries and a drink. It was bigger than I thought and and tasted really good. Nice amount of meat and cheese. Fries were cooked right, not under or overcooked. So overall, very good. read more

If you're hoping for that Del Amo Steak House flavor, you'll be disappointed. The cheesesteak is missing some flavor, the fries are missing some seasoned salt, and the ranch is bottled. All in all, not as good as DASH was, but not bad either. It's edible, but doesn't quite hit the spot. read more

Finally both employees went to the back kitchen. I finally went elsewhere since my business is not that important or they were closed. Ok the food is OK I did not like the Philly cheese steak (i got number 7) don't get me wrong it's not bad I just didn't like it I had other better sandwiches before this felt to me like healthy and not a legit Philly cheese steak. Placed a take out order for two sandwiches and side of fries. When I picked up my order the bag was sealed, which has been a common practice during the pandemic, only to get home and find out they did not include the fries. The sandwiches were still pretty good, which is why I'm giving 3 stars, but was greatly disappointed to find out the fries were left out even though I was still charged for them. The ambiance was welcoming and a great spot to enjoy breakfast. I had the Smoked Salmon sandwich, and it was so good. The salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, red onion, and sprouts all went really well together. Hubby had the Cowboy Burrito with slow-braised beef, eggs, provolone, roasted poblanos, and tater tots. The house salsa verde gave it a nice kick, and oh added avocado. We definitely plan to come back to try more :)

Greeted with a friendly face and offered a nice cup of coffee then I ordered a Philthy Philly Breakfast Burrito and HOLY COW! This thing must have weighed in at about 2-3 lbs easy! And it was just as delicious as it was heavy. Super cool, simple little spot to grab a coffee and a good breakfast burrito!

I ordered the ham and sausage burrito, which costs extra as a two-meat option, but when I got home it only had ham and no sausage. The burrito itself still tasted good, so this felt more like an order mistake than a quality issue. One thing to note is they charge a fee for credit card purchases, so cash might save you a little if you come often. Overall, still a solid local spot for a quick bite, especially breakfast, and I'll probably still come back.

Drove 45 miles to pick up a torpedo and it was so good. Not many places can keep the quality and taste this consistent. Old school location with street parking and a free parking lot right across the street. Inside you will find dry goods from Italy and the counter towards the back. They have premade torpedoes ready for pickup so no need to wait. Two sizes - get the large one, you'll thank me later! These are premade without condiments but somehow the "dry" sandwiches are so satisfying. Another option to consider if you like hot sandwiches is the meatball sub. Yumm!

It's an outstanding smash burger filled with quality meat, seared perfectly on the flat top to get some of that grilled crunch. If it was the weekend, get the Brunch Burger, OMG it's so good!! I always get the tots. They're always perfectly crispy and compliments any of their burgers. If they offer a "special burger" it's always worth mixing it up and ordering it, or even a Big Fish sandwich that was available in April and was a special treat, their collab burgers like their Butan Burger which was insanely good! Just in time for AAPI Heritage Month, Proudly Serving collaborated with Filipino American kickboxing champion Jackie Buntan. Jackie grew up in the South Bay and is a fan of Proudly Serving, thus leading to her collaborating with them. The Buntan Burger by Jackie Buntan x Proudly Serving is a celebration of Filipino heritage and flavor in every bite. It has a double patty, mozzarella cheese, banana ketchup aioli, longganisa, and atchara on soft pandesal from Gemmae Bakeshop. I really enjoyed this burger. I loved how they used pandesal and how they had a lot of Filipino ingredients in this burger. The longganisa paired well with the burger patty and gave the burger a nice, sweet touch. I also really liked the touch of banana ketchup aioli and atchara. Aside from The Buntan Burger, I got the PS Fries. I've gotten these fries before and they still remain to be some of the best fries I've ever tried. The thick fries are so crisp and delicious. I am fan of the generous toppings of burger patty, cheese, griddled onions, pickles and special sauce. I love the PS Fries but definitely also want to try the Chili Cheese Fries next time. I'm really happy I got to try Proudly Serving again. I am especially glad I got to check out the special Jackie Buntan x Proudly Serving burger. So masarap!

Luckily, this location accepted my coupon for "Any 2 items for $6.99." But, as a backup I had my AARP card because you get 10% off if you're a member. From the pick 2 items I chose the half Uptown Turkey Avocado sandwich, which was tasty, but a little dry. My other item was the Turkey Avocado Cobb salad and side of fruit. The ambiance is casual and there's a lot of parking. This Corner Bakery is in a plaza that includes a Handel's ice cream, so we walked over there for some ice cream when we were done. If you like sandwiches, paninis, soup, and salad this is a very good place to try!

The cucumbers needed more of an acidic kick, the xiao long baos were nice and soupy but bland, and the ribs were too sweet and not flavorful enough. Not pictured were the Shanghai rice cakes with pork, which did have a nice chew and flavor. However, what was lacking in flavor was made up for in service. Our server Henry was kind, attentive, and funny. Probably one of my favorite servers ever. The ambience was nice as well.

The parking lot was super busy but we found a spot in the way back. The restaurant is modern and sleek with dim lighting. There are three giant TVs in the dining room which makes it hard to keep my child's attention. There are no booster seats but we ended up not needing it because the table and booth were a good height for our kid to sit comfortably at the table. For our kiddo we ordered a handroll, a short rib appetizer and grilled corn. There was no corn available, which my kid was specifically excited for (we looked at pictures before arriving) but she seemlessly pivioted to edamame. My spouse and I got a second order of short rib appetizer to share and a set of 5 handrolls each. First they brought out the short rib appetizer, miso soup (comes with the set of handrolls) and edamame. The beef appetizer turned out to be just one meat skewer per order. The menu showed a picture of two skewers on a plate which my spouse found misleading. The short rib was excellent but a bit pricey at $7.50 per skewer. Miso soup was excellent. Edamame was also tasty. All the handrolls were excellent, full of fish and ultra fresh. I really liked the yuzu sauce. My spouse did not care for his garlic ponzu. Although the food was delicious, the service left an unfortunate bad taste. The handrolls came out 2, 1 ,1 ,1 (per person) with about 10-15 min between each delivery. I thought maybe they were pacing the set of 5 but my kid, for whom we ordered an a la carte handroll, got her roll after waiting 30 min from when food first began to arrive. To keep her eating we shared one of our rolls with her. Ultimately we decided we could use a couple more handrolls so we asked to change the a la carte roll to a set of three by adding two more rolls to the order. To our surprise the server told us they couldn't do that, that they can't retroactively change the order. When I asked if they could just remove the single roll from the tab and add a set of 3 she responded, "Technically, yes, but..." Honestly, I don't even remember what came after 'but' because all I heard was 'Technically, yes, but we want to extract as much $ from you as possible so we don't want to...' Anyway, I asked again for what I wanted and she agreed to ask the manager. They made an "exception" for us but HOLY BANANAS how embarrassing for them and awkward for us. After adding two more rolls we were afraid we committed to another 10-15 minute wait, but luckily they came out in under 5. After previously mentioned irritating experience I realized they hadn't yet brought out the 5th role in my set. I asked a server, who asked the sushi chef, who then looked up at me like I had done something wrong? I suddenly felt guilty for asking for the food I ordered. Probably I was just sensitive after the previous awkward experience? Sigh. The food was really tasty, and I couldn't get out of that place fast enough. I'll find handrolls somewhere else where they have tact and won't make me feel guilty for wanting what is fair.
