    AI Scam Proof!
    Tanisha D.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Paid $70, waited for the system to accept my order, then waited 40 minutes, finally received text order was ready. Drove to the pickup window buzzed, knocked , called. Place is empty and closed. They are using AI to steal your money!!! Was told to come back the next day to try to locate the manager. Drive and waste more time and gas. Now I have to dispute the charges to get my money back. Don't patronize this business it's a SCAM!!!

First thing,,,, it isn't located on Figueroa Street anymore... it is now located at the GRAND FOOD DEPOT 11 358 38th st . So now for the food... I had the pastrami and order of their season fries and I have to say it was delicious. I'm hooked . I really can't say anything about the ambience because it's a pick-up only kind of place. The service was good... when your order is ready you pull up and press the button and someone comes out with your order, simple.

    Famous Figueroa Philly

The sandwich arrived a soggy mess. missing all the add-ons I asked for including cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. literally just pour quality meat and soggy bread and I paid extra for direct delivery so they cant even blame the delivery service. Not edible, Never again!

Well where do I begin. We ordered about 6 sandwiches and every single one of them was gross. The bread was so soggy and wet you'd have to eat it on a plate with a knife and fork. The meat was extremely salty. So salty no one was able to finish their sandwiches. The fries came out as if it was microwaved. Soggy. Not to mention OVER priced for garbage food. The location is horrible, you'd have to drive up passed a fleet of homeless tents to pull into the lot. The only good thing that came of that kitchen was the watermelon juice. Do not eat here. Save your money and your taste buds. -100

Never in the area but decided to try this place! Though there's a lot of hit or miss reviews on yelp, my experience with the Philly cheese steak sandwich was pretty good. i ordered the steak, mushroom and cheese sandwich and I thought it was super delicious. Since it's my first time in the area, it was confusing as to where to pick up the order. I parked and walked through the entire alley before realizing it was a drive-thru/pick-up order. Their sign was also NOT on the door so I was so confused as to where to pick up our order. For future reference, place your order online, and the suite for pick up is #5. I devoured my entire sandwich really quick. Their drinks were also pretty bomb too! I got the strawberry lemonade and the hubby got the blueberry lemonade and really enjoyed it. I would love to come back here if only it wasn't such a far drive for me!

This past visit I came with a large group and was still seated immediately. I didn't realize just how large it is inside, as I usually am towards the front or on the small front patio. ANYWAY The Korean wings were very good but admittedly could have been a bit spicier. The loaded fries had a bit too much melty cheese on top that oversaturated the other ingredients. The chicken quesadilla was I enjoyed but was a little basic. Last time I was here before this I had a chicken tikka quesadilla which I think was a more inventive dish that is certainly more memorable than this one. Small critiques but I do very much enjoy District and will one day come not just for happy hour. The cocktail of the day is usually good!

I ended up paying it(because they leave you no choice), but my biggest issue isn't the amount itself. It's that there was no clear notice beforehand. If a restaurant automatically adds gratuity or service charge, especially for a single diner, that should be clearly disclosed before you order or at least be prominently stated in the beginning. A 20% tip should reflect exceptional service. That wasn't the experience I had. The lack of transparency left a bad impression and felt dishonest. With so many great restaurants in Los Angeles that offer better food, better service, and straightforward billing, I wouldn't recommend this place.

The only thing that I had that I didn't love was the spicy vodka pizza. The undercarriage wasn't crispy so everything came right off the dough when you picked it up. The flavor was great though, and all food was served at the perfect temperature. Definitely wanna come back here and try more things on the menu!

It was a warm day and we were able to sit on the patio outside, which was the end to a perfect vacation. We decided to go with apps and these did not disappoint. My favorite was the short rib tacos, followed by the margarita pizza, truffle mac , and broccolini. We topped it off with the Choco flan and split that dessert, which was a great call because we were stuffed! For the Choco flan, I recommend making sure you take every single layer along with a bite of the espresso ice cream together to give you the complete perfect bite. We appreciated the friendly server's recommendations, they were spot on! The only negative was the tables were slatted with big gaps, and we could see old food in the slats below that had not been cleaned out, and when the salsa spilled it actually almost spilled on my white skirt because there wasn't anything to catch the spillage towards the end of the table Parking was next-door and was paid parking only. Or there's valet. Verdict: fantastic!

I highly recommend timing your visit around sunset to fully enjoy the charming string lights and romantic ambiance they create. Unfortunately, a bug bit me while I was sitting at our picnic table, so next time I'll probably opt for indoor seating. I was craving a high-quality pizza, and this place absolutely hit the spot. I ordered the mushroom pizza, and it did not disappoint. I also tried the house radicchio salad, but it wasn't my favorite. The mix of herbs and greens came across as overly bitter, and I couldn't finish it. One thing to note: I requested tap water when placing our order but later noticed I had been charged for their bottled still water. After bringing it to their attention, they promptly removed the charge. Be sure to double-check your receipt. I'm happy with how quickly they fixed the mistake tho! Unfortunately, they don't offer mocktails, so I ordered an Arnold Palmer instead. It was a bit bland and lacked balance. My friend tried one of the aguas frescas and wasn't particularly impressed either. Would love to see a curated mocktail list on their menu soon! Despite those minor issues, I'd definitely return. I'm looking forward to coming back to try brunch and cappuccinos at their new Manhattan Beach location!
