I went there for the first time today. I had been there when it was NTB. The guy at the desk ignored me for 10 minutes while he chatted with a customer. Then he checked me in and left the room without explaining why in the middle of it. When my work was done he called me over instead of coming over which is how it was done at NTB. There was an estimate for a brake fluid flush which he gave me but did not explain even when I asked. I will not be coming back here for my next oil change. read more

About a year ago this location started under new management and it has had amazing customer service since. I needed new shocks, struts, mounts, oil change, and new headlight bulbs and Kevin S. in particular was so friendly, professional, and took care of my car with reasonable prices and quick turn around. I recently had a back tire that was losing air pretty quick. Found out there was a hole in it when I brought it in. They fixed it up pretty quick and I was on my way. This week one of my front tires started to do the same thing. I was in and out within 20 minutes. They are Rock Stars! This place is simply amazing! They are quick, fair and communicative. Do not under any circumstances take your car here. We went in for a routine oil change, AND inspection. The next day the car is making an awful noise. Big O broke our tension rod, said nothing, and let us leave. We took it in today, they charged us 200 for the issue they caused, AND want to charge us for a new alternator which is failing because of what they broke. We contacted multiple mechanics, including the one for our brand of car. The rod should not have broken on its own. Bob gave us a half hearted "Well the GM will call you tomorrow." Stopped and found lugs not even hand tightened. Went back and staff was completely unsympathetic. Tech said he must have not been paying attention. Only came in for an oil change, so I can't rate the mechanical expertise. But the quoted 45 minutes turned out to be closer to 20 before they finished, so I have no complaints. I'm inclined to go back for further repairs as the mechanic knocked a little bit off the cost of the synthetic oil so I wouldn't downgrade but could still stay closer to my budget. read more

Nowhere on the coupon did it say valid at that location only, it clearly said "at participating locations" and even listed their address on the back! read more

I drove all the way from Boulder, Co because The Centennial Big O tires on Potomac was highly recommended. Travis C Took the time to hear my concerns and he and the team at Big O tires took the time to make sure my car was fixed right the first time. I had excellent customer service from Travis C who checked in with me several times with any concerns they had for my car. They even took the time to fix an error from my last automotive place to make sure my car was safe for me and my son. Upon arrival I was greeted in the parking lot by Bob who had excellent customer service and ask what he could do for me today. I walked over to a nearby place to have lunch while waiting on my car and one of the technicians was walking past the door upon my arrival back and open the door for me which was very courteous and I appreciated. AAA roadside assistance guy recommended this location to replace a bad battery since he didn't have the correct size. Very quick very nice service from all involved, especially Robert. I doubt it was the least expensive battery I could have found, but, it was reasonable AND QUICK and when you consider the potential time involved in searching and driving....I'm very glad I chose Big O. Gets the job done, but don't expect to get your car in first thing at 7 and get it back before 4 in the afternoon. Slow going getting the work done, and their stock seems to be a 30-40 minute each way drive to pick up things like engine bolts. Both times we've taken cars in we've been the first in the lot and in the last to pick up our cars at the end of the day. read more

This review is a combination, I have to say the staff was very friendly and helpful to a degree. However, I feel they tried to take advantage in every sense of the word as far as service goes. Needed to have a good amount of work done on my brake system for my vehicle. They performed a no obligation inspection and quote which was great. But the quote was insane!!!!!! Ended up calling a friend that referred me another repair place and received the same work needed and then some for half (1/2) the cost which was a big deal to me. Thanks but no thanks. Some of the worst customer service I've ever received. I spent over 3k on a lift,tires, wheels, and alignments and ever since then have received terrible service. The lift I have had a lifetime warranty. At 30k miles one of the shocks was leaking. I told the guy working it was under warranty and he said I was wrong and that nobody warranties lifts and shocks. I had to go through somewhere else. Then the truck started making a rattling noise and the dealer said it was the lift and to go back to them. I show up and they tell me it's the shocks again and I tell them they're under warranty...again. Get the run around for a couple hours then am told they can't get the parts until Mon(this was on a Sat). I was told they would call me on Monday. Mon roles around and no call. I call Tues and get told well they were busy yesterday and now the guy I was talking to was off that day. He took my name and number said he'd look into it and call me right back. Never heard from him. I called the next day (Wed) and get told they're ordering them and they should be in soon. Now Thurs comes and of course I had to call them because they're not capable of picking up the phone. They told me they should be in around noon. Said they'd call me when they got in, never called. Fri I called and was told they were sent to the wrong shop and they'll be in soon. They actually called me at about 11:30 to come in. I get there at 11:50 and sit there until 12:37 before they even pulled my truck in. I was told it would take about a half hour (keep in mind these are rear shocks) and it took them almost an hour and a half. So all said and done I was there just over 2 hours after being jerked around all week. And while I was at another shop prior to all this getting an oil change they said they would've installed them for free since it was warranty work, I still had to pay the labor for the install. I should thank them though because I was about to drop $1,500 on tires in their shop but now know better and will take my money elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this store to someone I disliked. read more
