Big O had a package deal that was $267 (after tax and such) for 5 years of tire rotations and they topped off the tires as well for us. Short version: DON'T go here! My spouse took her Lexus in to get a tire repaired because it had a slow leak due to a nail. Hours later she left with a bill over $800 covering two new tires and some bracket under the car. The tire pressure sensors worked fine before she went in, but were not working when she left. Jayme tried to help and did his best to try to fix this. He said they put new sensors on. But after a couple of trips to the shop and hours of waiting, they still didn't work. Next stop was Lexus dealer. They said that 3 of the 4 sensors appeared new. They were able to get it fixed for $200. Total bill for a nail in the tire: Over $1000. My advice would be to avoid this place, especially if you are a retiree in an expensive car. read more

I experienced drain plug/oil pan thread damage during routine oil change service at the Big O Tires location on Riggs Road for two different vehicles. In both cases, the damage occurred while the vehicles were being serviced, and I ended up paying for repairs with no accountability or assistance offered. I have been getting oil changes done for over 23 years, and the only two times I have faced this issue were at this same location. Jamie was amazing! After unexpectedly patching up our back tire with a fix-a-flat on our way up to Phoenix, Jamie and his team were quick to help us out and make us feel right at home. Their hospitality was unmatched. They offered our son a lollipop and even put on Bluey in the lounge area while we waited for a brief period. They ended up not charging us for the patch up and we were so beyond grateful and thankful to the shop and Jamie! The job held up for the remainder of our trip and our way back to Tucson. This place is always a joke. Poor service at its best. If you want your tires rotated you better mark them before going in. They have an early bird special they won't honor. They put in full synthetic without asking you. I've tried this place more than once because they are close and it's always bad. The last time I was there I was told it might take 5 hours for my appointment!! I stuck with it and car was done in 2 hours... they don't even want business and try to scare you away. My wife and I were towing our 20 foot travel trailer heading North to Flagstaff when something came loose in the front end of our truck after a hard stop on the freeway. We limped the truck and trailer to the nearest Big O, store 004247. Pulling into the parking lot we could see they were so busy there were very few parking spaces, so I found a spot to stop and went inside. This has got to be one of the nicest Big O Tire stores I've been in. Waited our turn to be helped and Service Writer Edgar Begay listened to every detail of our problem and promptly arranged to have the truck checked. My wife enjoyed the comfortable waiting room while I went out into the 105f heat to detach the truck from the trailer. Almost immediately after I got it unhooked the very friendly mechanic took it to test drive and just once around the parking lot he knew there was something fundamental wrong and pulled it into a bay. He thoroughly inspected all of the mechanical parts and took it to the alignment rack and did the most in depth alignment process I've seen. After only a few hours we were back on the road, even though the store had a full queue of customers they made a point of taking care of us during our travel emergency. Ultimately, he found no broken, bent, or missing parts. What he did find was that when we had the new lower control arms installed just a month ago, our mechanic had not properly torqued the bolts and they had slipped. So all that was needed was an alignment. I was so grateful for the prompt service that this team exhibited I asked to upgrade the alignment to the three-year package. They could have easily "found something" fundamental and very expensive and I'd have been none the wiser, and would have gladly paid as we were anxious to return to our journey. But they didn't. The honesty and attention to detail is exemplary and the experience prompted me to share this. Great store, go there with your business! EB read more

I came here with a small tire for my moving cart and they fixed it for free! The "other" tire store wouldn't touch it. Then they moved my spare tire up on my camper van for me cuz it was in the way of my bike rack, for free! I tipped the technician for that!! I didn't know they do oil changes, brake service, spark plugs, headlights, and all the tire related things​ here too. They also have a nice lounge with free popcorn, fruit, coffee and water! Went in for a flat repair. A week later leak on same tire. Take it back in and voila I've run over another nail and it's too close to shoulder of tire so they have to replace tire. But wait, since it's an AWD, the tread depths have to be within 3/32 of each other and I've got 20,000 miles on them. So that means all 4 have to replaced for $2200! It's a lease with 2 moths left- no way I'm doing that. Took it to a real tire shop where they showed me the inside of the tire with rim off, how that second nail didn't even penetrate and it was their original fix that was leaking. Fixed it for $25. Never going to ANY chain tire shop again, especially this one. read more

went in for Oil change, when opening my hood they lifted one side to hard and popped one lift support off of the hood / my supports were weak but attached. I was told it was broken before and would not show me the video to show me' this manager Michael Geier was so wrong ,I spent 86.00 to have the lift support attached to to hood . I showed up right at 7AM when they opened and was part of a long line waiting to get in. The attendant, Justin, handled the pressure with a positive and professional attitude. He clearly communicated wait times to help set expectations. They got me and everyone else in quickly. The work was performed in a timely manner. They did a full inspection on my car and I ended up buying a brake fluid flush as well as a fuel system flush/clean, as I felt it was a good deal (I'm a hard sell, by the way). Good people. CARELESS WORKERS!!! After receiving an oil change from this location, my car started leaking oil and was completely EMPTY a couple days later. I went to another company to find out what was wrong with my car and they told me that the screw was not tightened properly on my vehicle and therefore resulted in oil being leaked everywhere. This was such a careless mistake that cost me worrying, money, and wasted time. In my opinion, if you can't trust them to even screw things back properly then you can't trust them at all with your vehicle. read more

In the spirit of transparency, we didn't buy any tires from these guys - at least not yet! Woke up one morning last week, and my wife's SUV was giving her a low tire pressure alert on the passenger rear tire. I had her slowly back it up to see if I could see anything & sure enough, a small nail was buried in it. The closest tire shop was Big O, so I gave them a call. They explained that if it was fixable, they'd try and plug or patch it. They had a full schedule, but if we dropped off the vehicle, they'd get to it in the next couple of hours. We dropped it off, and 2 hours later, we get a call, and it's ready - and NO CHARGE! We picked it up and thanked them for getting us in, and my wife personally thanked the technician for plugging the tire, and she tipped him to show her appreciation. I can't attest to their sales or tire installs, but their customer service on tire leak repairs, especially for tires not purchased there, is outstanding. read more

Appointment for oil change on my car w 90,000 miles. I was kept up dated on my vehicles progress and then provided w a report card on services that needed to be considered. I really appreciated that they didn't try and do a pressure sell on anything. Very professional and friendly staff. The waiting room and restrooms were immaculate. Snacks, water and coffee were available. The restrooms were the cleanest I've seen anywhere in AZ. I trust the staff to assist me in making sound decisions for my vehicle. Skip the hassle! Go to Discount Tire instead! Got a large nail in my tire & since Discount Tire was closed on Sundays I decided to visit this location instead. I was hoping to have the hole patched being that I had a warranty with Discount Tire, I wasn't looking to purchase a replacement. As I walked in, I could already tell the employee at the front had a bad attitude, but okay sure, nobody wants to be working on a Sunday. I showed them the picture of my tire & they didn't even take a moment to think. They immediately said the tire was not repairable AT ALL. Okay sure, you're the tire expert. I mention that I needed to purchase a spare (my spare was also ruined) instead, & the employee basically laughs in my face?? Mentions they only sell real tires & spares would have to be purchased directly from the dealership I bought the vehicle. "We don't sell used or spares or anything like that, we only deal with new tires" Basically, unless I was buying a new tire, there was nothing that could be done in this situation. I left with more questions than I came in with. But hey, at least they didn't waste my time right? That's what they earned the singular start for. Took my tire to Discount Tire today, SUPER helpful employee explains the nail is near the "non-repairable" zone, but that he would see what could be done BY SHOWING IT TO AN ACTUAL employee who works on the cars, not just a desk sitter. My tire was patched in less than an hour & the employee GLADLY ordered my spare, which should be in later today. Not exactly sure what Big O Tires is doing, but they should take some pages out of Discount Tire's playbook! read more

My son took his car in due to the fact that he could smell a sulfur burning smell. He also was having trouble starting it. Big O said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. So they cleaned the fuel system saying that might help. We asked if they checked the battery. They said battery is good. Nope 3 days later the battery was smoking and cracked. Obviously they never looked at the battery. Very dangerous! It can explode at this point! Mike, the manager, could care less. Not even offering an apology. He was defensive right away. We went here after purchasing tires at Big O Tires in Mesquite Nevada due to a tire blow out. But the tires were not balanced properly. They were under warranty and we had this Big O rebalance and front end align our RAV4. They said we needed to replace the cabin filter. We told them we can do it on own just put it back. They did not put it back in. The air conditioner made loud noise they stuffed tissue paper in place of the filter going we would come back and have them fix it. Avoid using their $49 synthetic oil coupon. They charged me an extra $10, said I was short oil and their coupons only up to 5 quarts. I needed 5.5 quarts. I drive a 2022 Honda Odyssey and after contacting Honda to verify how much quarts my vehicle actually needs, I only require 4.5 quarts. Obviously they didn't want to honor their coupon so they added additional $10 and lied about the amount of oil I really needed. This location is not trustworthy. Avoid them at all cost. read more

I purchased a set of Nitto tires in May 2023 to replace a set of Pirelli tires I had purchased from the Big O store on Germann Rd. in March 2019. I dropped off the vehicle on 8/8/24 for another rotation and was told there was not enough tread on the Nittos and I needed new tires. I explained there were less than 12,000 miles on these tires and was told there was no mileage warranty on the Nitto tires. I would have not purchased these Nitto tires if I had been told at the time there was no mileage warranty. I was shocked that Big O would sell tires with no mileage warranty and not inform the customer of this condition. I recently purchased a set of tires from a competitor and will not be doing any more business with Big O Tires in the future. read more

Was here about 6 months ago needed new tires because my almost brand new tires had nails in the sidewall of two. I was 15 miles from home but didn't want to chance it. So I bit the bullet and purchased all new tires. Mike the store manager was extremely thorough and mindful of my needs and delivered. Fast forward 6 months after service at my dealer the very next day I noticed my front passenger tire was drastically low and losing air. I took it to the big o on ocotillo and iron wood and they found a nail in the inside of the sidewall one one tire. But for some reason wouldn't honor the tire warranty I purchased at the Riggs store. I was like whatever at that point asked them to fill the tire and drove down to see Mike at the Riggs location. I again bit the bullet and purchased and new tire and one was covered under warranty. All good. Got home and in the morning noticed silver counter balance weights on my 20" black rims. Also my center cap was missing on one tire. It may not seem like a big deal to some but silver weights on black rims....!!!!! doesn't look nice. Especially on a brand new garage kept vehicle. I called and was told to come on down they were going to look for the cap and were checking about black counter balance weights. I get down there and thankfully they had my cap and put it back on and good as new. Then I was told they don't keep black weights in stock. I was a bit thrown off since this is a large corporate chain. Mike Informed me that they would order the weights and had me come in for an appointment. And 2 days later they replaced them and sent me on my way. This is the definition of customer service I appreciate them going the extra and fixing a gripe. I took my car to repair the ac and was charged $1250.00 for condenser and lines to be replaced. When I picked it up it only lasted a week and had to take it back. So far I have taken it 4 times in a matter of a week and now they are saying its an additional $365.00 as the suction line needs to be replaced because its leaking. They had to be the ones that damaged that hose because the Freon would have not lasted for a week from the first time they supposedly fixed it. I will never take my car there again. read more

hey Lied Cheated and will steal your time.. My CHECK engine light NEVER came on once UNTIL big O touched it.. .. I maintained my car to pristine condition, although they tried convincing me I didnt .. I take it in knowing exactly what needs to be done it was a simple yet expensive job. Big O points out my front drive shaft propeller is about to break and quote me 775 and say we are really booked and might not get to it today, but could have it ready by tomorrow. I left didnt make it and I had it towed to big O the next morning they said dont worry we CAN GET IT DONE TODAY but it might be toward close. I waited with them from 11 am till they neared close. 6 hours later they call me in for BAD NEWS... THEY POINT OUT TO ME THE PART THEY ORDERED was TOO BIG.. WONT FIT and needs to BE AN ORIGINAL PART ordered from infiniti .. im baffled by the fact it took them the whole day to notice they ordered the wrong size? Heres where it starts getting crazy.. They say the ONLY WAY to get this PART IN ALL OF AMERICA is if we order it from infiniti and its the infiniti in San Jose California.. and the part was going to be 1400 and take 7 DAYS to come and this is just for the part. THEY SAY THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE. I was outside and the tech was EXPLAINING TO ME WHY IT WOULDNT WORK.. showing me where the size would not work. HE THEN SUGGESTS I GO GET THE PART FROM a JUNKYARD or find it somewhere and bring it in and they would install it. THE TECH HAD ME TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING, comparing the 2 Shafts ect. so I wouldn't make the same mistake they did. I found the part online and it was coming from CHINA, I get a call from BIG O the next day saying WE HAVE GOOD NEWS we took it to our guy he sized it right and we made it fit right on. This did not soun right. When I asked for the receipt for that shop that "sized" it he said they didnt charge us so we didnt get a receipt .. NO WORK ORDER?, NOT even a EXPLANATION? HOW was the part that was to big to fit put on? HE gets mad at me for asking normal questions about the SAME problem I took it for but NOW Upon turning it on it ROARS, something that had NEVER happened. Randomly he says IM NOT PAYNIG FOR A NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER; I NEVER MENTIONED anything about that, he hangs up in my face, calls back saying come in were going to fully refund you. Making me ask what else did they break and what did they do that theyre willing to call me back in to refund me such a large transaction .. ?? What else did they break? My cars check engine light LITERALLY turns on as im on the phone with him and I tell him I wont make it I ALSO have VIDEOS of me driving it all week before I came because I was showing it to other shops.. SO there's no way around what you guys did, for a few thousand at the expense of me and my car? So you dont look bad you lied cheated and stop I will take it to infinit, I will find out what you guys did and if you dont want to help in resolving there's also many avenues. I went in today for an appointment, I have gone here for about a year a half now almost 2 years and even have tires from them and a warranty. ( I have a small Kia Rio 2020.) It has always been around $62.5 for an oil change with the synthetic oil. For some reason today they charged me $76 I asked them why it went from $62 to $76 and for what? They told me that my oil filter was different and then proceeds to turn the computer and show me a photo and tell me that "the black part is different on your filter, we have to order that" i understand what he was saying and there is just no way they have never done that ever, at any big o tire, they have mentioned my filter but thats why its 62.5- 65 instead of the $49.99 synthetic with whatever tax. I am currently looking at my receipts from all the other times and the break down of it and what was looked at and worked on and it looks the exact same. So why was it more this time, for the same exact work ? I am not going here again I have had to change places before because it happens to be a different price every time I come in. I don't recommend it I always feel like these kinds of places try to take advantage and charge more because it's located in a nice area. read more

-Avoid Big Old Tires - They Don't Honor Their Warranty!I bought four tires from Big Old Tires along with their extended warranty, but when one of the tires blew out during my trip, they completely refused to honor the warranty. When I returned to the store to request a replacement under the warranty, they told me that I couldn't take the tire unless they mounted it on my vehicle. I had already purchased a new tire out of necessity, but they insisted that it had to be mounted on my car in order for me to receive it.I then asked for a refund for the warranty, but they refused, stating that the warranty is non-refundable and that they would only cover the damaged tire. To make matters worse, my vehicle suffered additional damage from the blowout, which they refused to address.Their customer service was extremely frustrating, and they wouldn't provide any reasonable solution. Neither a refund for the warranty nor compensation for the damaged tire were offered, despite their faulty product causing damage to my vehicle. I would not recommend purchasing tires from them or trusting their warranty.Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that stands by their products and services.- read more

I have a 2019 Porsche Cayenne that had a nail in the left rear tire that couldn't be repaired. Porsche selected an odd tire size which made availability impossible. Not even Porsche had any replacement tires. Jose at Big O on Riggs road went over and above to get me a set of Nitto tires same day that ride and handle much better than the OEM tires. He saved the day as this is my only vehicle and the tire on the vehicle would only hold air for a couple of hours. Also, they did an alignment which drastically improved the drivability.
