I've been going to discount tires at the scottsdale pavilions for years and have never had an issue. Today I came to the Chandler location for a tire rotation and was told I needed two new tires, and that it would be faster than getting them rotated. I decided to get them and was quoted an hour and 10 minute time frame. After an hour and 15 minutes, my car still was sitting in the lot. After waiting for my turn in line, to find out how much longer it would be, my car was pulled back and I was told 15 minutes. It took another 35 minutes. I had let the sales guy/technician know I had to be at work at 3:00 when I checked in at 1:10. I finally got my car back at 3:00. While waiting, and watching a line of 4 people also standing and waiting, one of the sales guys answered the phone, told someone it was not busy and to bring their car down. Another woman stood in line waiting for over 20 minutes before being helped, meanwhile the guys are selling tires (or so it sounded) over the phone. I understand that things happen, but there is no excuse for 2 tires to take 2 hours. At the very least, give me the estimate and tell me to bring the car back in an hour so I am not sitting and waiting for nothing. read more

Thinking that in the event im ever traveling out of town I would still get taken care of, whether I had a flat or something. Today I was turned away from getting air in my tires. The young man that I was speaking to was willing to help me but the manager named Richard said no. It was still 30 minutes from closing so im not sure why Richard was being a Richard. The young man was definitely uncomfortable that his boss was unwilling to help. "I would, but he said no". I suggest promoting the kid and let Richard go sit on it. I scheduled an appointment for 10:45 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 to have my tires rotated. My tires where purchased at Discount Tire in Tempe. For the first 15 minutes, a Discount Tire employee looked at my car and did a review. Then, he said my car would be ready in an hour. He said he would text me. I walked over to McDonald's to wait and drink an iced coffee. When the text said my car would be ready in 5 minutes, I walked over to Discount Tire. My car was sitting outside where I parked it. I asked for my keys and said I assume my car is ready since it's sitting outside in the parking lot. An employee looked and couldn't find my paperwork. He proceeded to say they could pull my car in to rotate the tires right then. I said no way. Give me my keys. I waited over an hour and they did nothing. They totally waisted my time. We've always had a very pleasant experience with Discount Tire. I was driving and heard a scraping noise-- pulled over just to realize I had a full on flat tire and was driving on the metal of my rim! I quickly filled the tire back up and we drove to Discount Tire (the tire was flat again by the time we arrived). Serjio was who I spoke with, he was very friendly and helpful. He checked the tread on all 4 of my tires, and apparently CarMax completely screwed me over on my car. They added the wrong tires to my car, and removed the ones that came with it, for some odd reason. The tires were completely shot! Discount Tire was able to replace all 4 tires for under $1,000 and the car was ready in 45 minutes. I am beyond frustrated with the service at this location (Gilbert & Riggs). If you value your time, stay far away. I made an appointment thinking it would actually mean something, but they have zero respect for scheduled times. What is the point of an appointment if you're still left sitting there for hours while they ignore the growing crowd in the waiting room? To make matters worse, walk-ins don't stand a chance--they just seem to forget you exist the moment you walk through the door. The manager and the staff are the worst I've encountered. They are dismissive and clearly overwhelmed, but that's no excuse for the lack of professionalism. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone, either; I tried calling multiple times and it just rings off the hook. OMG, it was painful to watch so many people just sitting there waiting while the staff acted like they didn't care. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else that actually respects their customers. I brought in a relative car; she is on a fixed income to replace two front tires. One of the advisors informed me that a stud was broken, and two others would not come off using their tool set at 85 ft of torque. He was clear that if any more broke then I would not be able to drive the car, He advised to get the lug/studs taken care of first. I requested they give a try, and unfortunately, they snapped off. The sent the car next door to brake masters, and I was expecting the worst. I was called that the car was ready, and brake master informed me that Discount tire covered the cost. This was above and beyond, they informed of the risk and even recommended fixing them first. It was 100% my fault and they covered it. I see why this business is busy, I loved it. Got my Supra's tires balanced a few weeks ago but it didn't quite fix the vibration. A couple weeks later (got busy) I made an appointment, I checked in, they tried it again didn't quite do it. So they tried flipping the tires, that worked! But they saw I paid for a service and It didn't get done right the first time (nobody's fault) and they didn't charge me at all for the other two services and their time. They fixed it and handed me my keys with a smile. Not to mention they are great to all their customers and served them at the highest level. It was so welcoming! I love to see that. Major update!!! I hope this helps anyone who's weary on tire shops. Our tire pressure sensor light was flickering on and off about 5 days after the new tires, went back in to see if by chance they damaged it with the newly replaced tires. Fortunately they didn't and it was just a dead sensor, but Ian (the manager on duty) replaced it for us! Was quick & very thoughtful. Ian deserves a raise as well. Amazing tire shop!! Can't go wrong. I wish I had the names of the gentlemen that took care of my Lincoln. A 25+ yr old SuperCoupe with 37k miles & original tires. The wheels were STUCK On! They gently got them loose & popped out by hand the expensive center caps that are no longer available. We were hesitant to take this car anywhere but so glad we entrusted this Chandler store. They even wire brushed and cleaned the hubs prevent future problems. Their Attention to detail and going above & beyond to do a perfect job was impressive. My tire pressure light had came on and I put air in and by the next day the light was on again. I arrived to discount tire just after the gym, I waited in the lobby a bit to be helped but I was reassured someone will be with me momentarily. It was nice seeing the sense of care and urgency in getting helped. Once I was greeted and explained my problem, the serviceman walked with me to my car scanned each tire and went over everything with me. He also educated me on wheel locks, which I had no idea was a thing and located the keys to unlock them. Afterwards we went back inside, let me know how many cars were in front of me and had me sit and wait. It was also nice I received a link to track when my car was being serviced and an estimated finish time which was accurate. My car was ready and I was told there was a wood chip in my tire which they repaired and filled all my tires with air for FREE!! I felt very taken care of, and I left happy and satisfied with their customer service. I really like Discount Tire because they do what they promise. I purchased 4 Continental tires back in July at a Discount Tire in Las Vegas and this past Sunday one of my tires was quite low, luckily a handy man was able to put my spare on and advised I had a slow leak, I vaguely remember debris in the road on Friday that could have compromised my tire. I was alil worried because I misplaced my original receipt. But when I called Monday all my worries were lifted, my tire warranty info was in the computer here in AZ, and I was told I was good. I decided to walk in today (Tuesday) around 2 pm and they were done with my car by 3:15 pm, super efficient. The guys working are very nice and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
