Third day in a row coming into this facility. Each time I talk to the shop they tell me something different. I called to see if they can get me in tues as I need to have a tire warrantied. Too full, scheduled me for weds so I get there and they don't have tire. Mind you I'm driving on a flat... reschedule for thurs. I asked what it would cost me.. 15.00 plus tax for swap and 18.00 to warranty new tire. I get there Thursday, total was 47.00 I said I don't want warranty and he says new total 34.00 Is it me or the math skills are off. ??? I asked why I'm being told diff price and diff information each time I am here, the guy states the employee that helped me was new but um sir, he's not because his name is on my receipt from 3 months ago when I purchased the tire. Also when I bought it 3 months ago, total was 167.00 I said I can go to discount for 130 for same tire Monday.. and big o rep said I'll match it. So I paid 130 for a tire that was 79.99 on a Saturday. I had no other options so bought it. They don't look you in face and I just feel walked all over. Never going here again. Ever. If only a zero star was an option that's what I would have selected. The advisor Rudy apparently doesn't know that the word "couple" means two. So when he repeatedly promised that my car would be ready in a "couple of minutes" I had to get him to clarify because it went from a day to two days to three days. And when I finally got myself to the counter to ask for my vehicle back, fixed or not fixed, the part that he said they were waiting for just miraculously arrives. So again he tells me a "couple more minutes" which apparently meant 30 minutes had I not gone up to the counter multiple times acting like a psychotic bitch asking how many more minutes. Never will I recommend this place to anyone including my worse enemy. They mean well but lack the expertise. read more

I was very impressed by the customer service here. I had just gotten a flat across the street, around 5:15 so I drove over to Big O to get a new tire. Little did I know that they close at 5! The guy behind the counter was cool though and still took care of me. They didn't have the tire I needed in stock, but they were nice enough to change my flat to my spare, all for free. If they had the tire I needed, I would have bought a whole set of 4! read more

Absolutely horrible. Customer service here has completely went to crap. I've been going here for over 5 years, brought at least 6 cars here, and never had a problem until recently. Got a tire balance a few days ago because my car was shaky on the highway. When I got the car back, it was much worse than before. I called the next day, they said to bring it back in to fix it, and when I picked it up they said the weights they put on fell off. They fixed it, and although it was better it was still shaky on the highway. I called again today and the guy who answered said to bring it in again (for the 3rd time now) and they would fix it. Once I got there one of their service reps treated me like absolute sh!t because it was the 3rd time coming in, then refused to fix the issue saying when u pay for a balance they are only responsible for doing it once, regardless if it it is better or worse after. Are you kidding me? I pay you for a service, you don't deliver, then you tell me it's not your problem? Incredible. The service rep was extremely disrespectful, refused to fix the balancing problem, and blamed it on my tires. He then told me that you can't even balance the tires and he would have advised against it in the first place. When I asked him why the hell they didn't tell me that the first time I came in, he completely blamed his coworkers for it yet showed no sympathy for my case. I asked for a refund since they couldn't deliver on the service I paid them to do, and he just brushed me off saying call the manager tomorrow. Absolutely appalled that this guy is even employed still. I used to go here all the time for any auto need I had, but after this they will no longer get any business from me and anyone I know. read more

This was a perfect example of mechanics attempting to take advantage of a woman. I went in there on Sunday afternoon with a diagnosed universal joint damage. I knew that the drive shaft needed to be replaced. They took my car back and came back with a laundry list of repairs that totaled $3500. They told me I needed to replace motor mounts for a 4 wheel drive and my vehicle is only a two wheel drive. They told me that the problem wasn't at all mt drive shaft and that replacing that would really do me no good. Told me that in order to get my car to drive the way it should, I would need to pay them $2000 that day. Naturally, I did no such thing. I took it to my family mechanic ( Only reason I didn't go here first is it was Sunday and he was out of town) who looked at it and said..."You don't even need to be a mechanic to see that your U joint is completely damaged." Less than $200 dollars later and my car is fixed! Shame on you for trying to take advantage of people. I may be a female who knows nothing about cars, but I have family and friends that do. Well Big O Tire is a good company,, but their service provided isn't.... I recently 2 days ago went in for a oil change . I had an appointment at 11am and didn't end up leaving till 2 in the afternoon . They told me I needed new front break pads so I scheduled 2 days out .. comes today where I have my appointment at 11am again and the service is very slow again not shocked. They didn't put my car on the lift I was sitting for about 1 hour waiting for front break pads to be put on . I talked to them about me being here for 4 hours prior a different day . And they still didn't make me a priority so I certainly asked for my keys and left. I do not recommend coming to big O tire unless you have time on your hands and are willing to wait a few hours :) read more

I had a problem with my air conditioning and thought it was just Freon. It turned out I needed a whole new system. Big O tried to fix the car as best they could. They tried multiple times for two weeks. It turns out they were unable to fix it, mostly because of it being a 20 year old car. I will tell you that James the manager and Tony who I am not sure what his title is were excellent. They had great customer service. They knew I was very inconvenienced and they did all that they could to help me. I was upset and obviously not happy as my car just couldn't manage to get cold. I feel they did the honorable thing and decided that they would not charge me for the parts labor or anything. I appreciate their effort and attitude of I will make it right by you. Not happy about having semi cold air but very happy they way they handled it in the end. read more

I LOVE THESE GUYS! I can change my oil and all that crap myself but would rather pay them to do it because they are just wonderful. Everyone I've dealt with has always been super helpful, but I recently went about a week and a half ago and Chris and Tony were just awesome. Not only did they help me figure out what my car needs and when- they even gave me a discount and offered me the same discount on a future service because my money was tight. Loyal Customer Lost First the back story: I have been a loyal customer at this location in Gilbert for years, I have taken my past 3 vehicle here for regular oil changes, tries, and more. However, I feel as though I should have noticed the red flags way earlier. I recall after a simple tire rotation, everything seemed fine until I noticed all my wheel lug locks were missing. I brought it up but no one would own up to it so they gave me a "free regular oil change" which is just a $14.00 value. New wheel lug locks cost more than double that amount. I even had an air filter go missing after an oil change. This was a result of their free inspection that they preform every time you bring a car in. I had to buy a new air filter (Another out of pocket expense since they didn't own up to that either). Then came the most recent series of unfortunate events: I took my car in for a regular oil change. Nothing too difficult (I would do it myself but, I cant find the time). This simple oil change turned into a stained driveway from a new oil leak, a dead battery and a broken hood latch and even having my car towed twice! To Big-O-Tires' defense, they covered my first tow back to their garage (2 miles between home and them), and even replaced the $0.99cent oil plug gasket. But this small act of "courtesy" as the clerk called it, is really just a way to get me off their back and avoid fixing the real issue. To add more detail, anytime you bring a car into Big O, they open your hood and do a free battery test, check fluids etc. While they informed me that my battery tested good and it is still relatively new, my car ended up dead the next morning. Which leads me to how I found out my car was dead. After getting my oil changed, I noticed a large oil puddle under my car that same night. Unfortunately Big-O was closed so I had to take the next morning off from work so I can take it back in and have them fix their mistake. I called prior and they said to bring it in so, I got in my car and found out it wouldn't start. This was strange considering my battery passed inspection just the day before. So, I decided to open my hood and check out if everything is connected or not. Well then, nothing, my hood would not open. I pulled the hood latch and nothing happened, no sign of any mechanisms even moving. Perhaps someone slammed my hood too hard and broke the latch? I'll never know. But it is just another issue to add to the list that Bog-O has caused all in less than 24hrs. After getting a $550.11+ quote for the repairs, and NO REFUND on my oil change (which again they couldn't even preform properly) I am now paying for yet another towing to a new mechanic, who charges less and is more trusted (still all expenses out of my own pocket now), There was no refund, no coupons or vouchers, not even a simple apology was issued. All I received was a new bill, and an interrogation as to whom my new mechanic is, all from the Big-O staff involved. In addition to all the vehicle issues, the customer service at this location has always been far from professional. Arguing with customers, arguing with me, rude in general, and often arrogant and unhelpful. Not to mention the pushy over priced tire and service sales to the unfortunate customers. Overall, I should have never came back after the first time parts went missing. Now I'm stuck with a towing bill, no oil refund, a broken hood-latch that wont even open, and a dead battery. The customer service is again very sub-standard, and unprofessional and definitely lacks any form courtesy. **AT LEAST READ THIS** Moral of the story, TRUST YELP!!! ask around if anyone has ever been there. Yelp's rating of this places doesn't lie. Big-O-Tires on Lindsay and Warner in Gilbert, AZ is to be avoided at all cost. A returning loyal customer has been lost today. The job was completed a week ago and I am satisfied with the outcome. For this I give an extra star but I have experienced better. We've had really good luck with this location. For example, when stopping in to repair a flat, they have more than once fixed it for free -- and we didn't even get our tires from them. The mechanics are articulate and competent, and we've never felt ripped off, which is a huge thing when dealing with car repairs. read more

I had a flat tire on the freeway in gilbert so I called big O tires on baseline rd and Val vista talked to a guy name mark asked if he had my tire in stock and gave him the tire size my tire is very hard to find always have to order it. Mark told me he had the tire in stock ask him again if he had the tire there at the store he told me yes I told him my boyfriend was on his way down. he said come on in. When my boyfriend got there he talked to a different sales person that told him he did not have them in stock he told him mark told us he did have them in stock that's why we called before coming in. Mark finally came to the counter and told us that someone just bought them or the tires where transfer it took my boyfriend 8 minutes to get there from the time I hung up the phone with them to he got into the offices and someone already brought them no one was there and they did not transfer them out which is a lie they never had them in stock they could get one by ordering it but would take all day. my boyfriend walk out. I called mark on the phone and asked he why he told me he had them in stock when he didn't have them in stock he said he did that the tires where transfer out or brought them I asked him he why he would let them transfer out of the store knowing we were on are way down to pick one up he said he didn't know the tires were transfer until we got there I told him I was calling corporate office and making a complaint he then yelled at me that is enough and hung up on me I would never go there again and I will let everyone else not to use big tires again I will now take my business to discount tire from now on read more

I recently purchased the Big O Tires deal for 3 oil changes for $30 through Deal Chicken. I went today to use my first oil change and, as the deal states, there may be extra charges for synthetic oils. I knew I needed synthetic oil but I didn't realize how badly I was being ripped off. They advised me my coupon was only good for the 24.95 oil change, but I need the 39.95 one based on my oil type. And then they advised instead of giving me a 24.95 credit off the more expensive oil change, that I would get $10 off. So basically I had paid $10 per oil change, and now I was getting a $10 credit. This is not a deal and it doesn't say anything about that in the fine print. I discussed it with the manager at the Warner & Lindsey location in Gilbert and he advised me that was the deal. So basically, I paid $30, to get $30, and bad service. After taxes and disposal fee, including the $10 I already paid, I paid $45 to have my oil changed. I usually go to Sun Devil Auto and get this same type of change for $20, no coupon required, with the Synthetic oil I need. Needless to say, a terrible customer experience. Since I won't use the remaining $20 worth of credit I have, I have now paid $65 for 1 oil change. I have contacted DealChicken.com and await a reply from them. On top of all that, the manager had the gall to lie to me and say that we are getting a better quality servicing and that the oil sensor in my car will likely not go off for 7-8 thousand miles, instead of the usual 3 thousand. I know it goes off every 5 thousand, per the manual, and it has for the entire 4 years I have owned it. Very disappointing. He then went on to blame DealChicken. Maybe they messed up, but the deal should be honored as written. I have a hard time believing that DealChicken comes up with the fine print for other companies. Another 30 minutes later they called and said they couldn't do the alignment because one of my parts was installed incorrectly. The part is fine, it is just an after market they were unfamiliar with. NOT Recommended. 1st - Some of the staff is unprofessional and can be arrogant - Customer Service is not a priority at this location. 2nd - OVERPRICED and maybe "shady". I've stopped in to get a quote for a repair needed and their quote was 75% above another local reputable repair shop. 3rd - I've been here before for an oil change and I had my car returned dirty and leaky. We took our car into Big O to get new tires. The 75,000 mile tires that were on the website were not available and were substituted for "comparable tires" that were 50,000 mile tires for the same cost. The reviews that were written before about Big O are correct, they recommended an inexpensive fix of replacing the cabin filter, anticipating this, we politely declined. We asked about the price quote for aligning the tires as they were quoted for the service to be done for $150 (about $80 more than an competitor). We expressed that we are trusting that they are the experts and know what the car needs and the cost would be fair. In which the sales rep (and I use that phrase lightly) stated "It's free country and you can go where ever you want." Moral to the story, thank for advice, we will be going somewhere else. Also thank for the reminder about our constitutional rights, 1st amendment, freedom of speech. Thank you yelp for providing the platform. To add something positive the manager at the store was very apologetic about the "sales rep" and did take $25 off the alignment fee. read more

These guys are thieves. My wife and I received a coupon for an oil change in the mail for $14.99. My wife (with our 1 year old son) took our vehicle in to get the oil change done. First, they tell her that our vehicle takes a different type of oil that is not covered in the coupon. Second, they ask her if she needs a new filter. Well, obviously... Surprise! They were talking about an air filter which my wife wasn't aware of until she went to pay. After an hour (really guys, an hour for an oil change and an air filter we didn't want?) they finally finished. She went to pay and the sales person asked how she would be paying. Didn't give my wife the total, just asked for payment. That's when my wife found out that these fools deceived my wife into purchasing the unnecessary (and most certainly unwanted) air filter. The total cost, $110.00. We were expecting to pay $15-$20. Moral of the story, take your business elsewhere. Don't let them lure you in with their "coupons". They'll bait and switch you, and take advantage of you when they can. read more

Ok, I bought a minivan from my parents who had the best and most costly tires on it from big-o along with the insurance/warranty for them all. one of the tires blew out and I thought since they were the best and new with warranty they would be covered but after I had it replaced they wanted to charge me full price and I had to fight with them to take a look at my warranty papers. I would have thought they would have it on file on their computers, but they dint. I ended up paying full price for the replacement tire for reasons they couldn't really explain to me and I just got tired of arguing and paid it and left. I just recently replaced the whole set after only 8 months of wear, but this time I went to another store and bought their cheapest tires without warranty because even if they dint wear as well I can still afford to just replace them and have new tires more often. read more

AWFUL service. Last summer my boyfriend came here to get new tires. While he was driving that afternoon one of the tires fell off. The company fixed it and gave him several coupons. We have used the coupons for free oil changes. However, the free oil changes are not worth it anymore. The staff is always rude and they do a terrible job. They never re-set the oil change light in my car and they never inform me of when I need to come in for a new change (I don't get that sticker that goes on my windshield). On top of that, they are always extremely slow. The wait is always an hour minimum, just for an oil change! One time I made an appointment and was promised it would take 30min to an hour. I waited for TWO HOURS even after making an appointment! I am never coming back again. read more

Came in to get my free tire rotation after buying that expensive "tire package" they offer a few months back. Was told I would have to wait 3-1/2 hours because they were so busy. Upon walking back to my truck, there was 1 car in the bay and 3 on the lot itself, and every tech they had on staff (4) not including the front desk clerk who was also there was in the side yard goofing off. The manager Steve makes sure to help out the best he can, and gave my husband and I a great deal because we were bringing both of our vehicles in for maintenance. I'll give them 4 stars because they got the job done... Docking one star because it wasn't in a very timely manner. But then again, I haven't found a "timely manner" tire shop since I left he Northwest and the ever reliable Les Schwab. The warranty is great on their tires and everyone was nice enough. Just please don't say and hour to an hour and a half ... Then tell me after 2.5 hours that it's almost done, would I like to wait and get the alignment check still or come back another day. Honestly, if I could give this place zero stars I would. I have been in twice? or just once before. Last summer I took my car in to get the oil changed and walked out with a list of $700+, almost $800 worth of work they said needed done. Since I was headed on a 4,000+ mile roadtrip in a couple of weeks I decided to take it up to the Big O Tires in Show Low, where I usually get my oil changed when I am up visiting. They looked at my car and confirmed that some of the things did need done, found a couple of other things and all in all it was less than $500 to get it all done. Went back in today to get an oil change, they advertised a $16.95 oil change special which somehow would have cost $32 an change. They also said that my front tires were completely bald and I needed two new ones. Hmmm interesting, you must have only looked at the treads on the outside of my left tire that are a bit low, but not the rest of the tire OR the front right tire which is the same as the back two. After sitting for almost 15 minutes during which time another work told a lady it would take about 2 hours I went and asked for my keys back and left. Won't be back again. read more

Just bought a brand new corvette and was told they could do a tire replacement and wouldnt damage anything . Soon I realized that was a lie they took a big chunk out of my wheel and days later still havent gotten my wheel back. Manager wont fix or replace the wheel. This place is the WORST. Please steer clear of these guys if at all possible. I went in there just to get some new tires, they forced me into this year long alignment BS (you only need one alignment a year why do they sell me an annual alignment subscription for close to a hundred bucks). They're tires were cheap quality yet over priced. They told me my ball joints were bad and that I'd need to keep the car there for repairs. They said it'd cost $1200 I told them I'd do it myself considering a set of ball joints is only $200 and takes maybe two hours to replace. I took my jeep to my mechanic so he can verify their diagnosis and he said the ball joints were in great shape. While he was under there he noticed they didn't even touch the skrews needed to preform and alignment. The sleeve used to move the steering wheel back in position was also untouched.. I took it back to them, told them they needed to actually do the work I paid them for, and that I would be checking. I'm never going there again, worst experience I've ever had. They are absolute frauds. They will take your money and screw you over at every chance they get. read more
