Just bought a brand new corvette and was told they could do a tire replacement and wouldnt damage anything . Soon I realized that was a lie they took a big chunk out of my wheel and days later still havent gotten my wheel back. Manager wont fix or replace the wheel. This place is the WORST. Please steer clear of these guys if at all possible. I went in there just to get some new tires, they forced me into this year long alignment BS (you only need one alignment a year why do they sell me an annual alignment subscription for close to a hundred bucks). They're tires were cheap quality yet over priced. They told me my ball joints were bad and that I'd need to keep the car there for repairs. They said it'd cost $1200 I told them I'd do it myself considering a set of ball joints is only $200 and takes maybe two hours to replace. I took my jeep to my mechanic so he can verify their diagnosis and he said the ball joints were in great shape. While he was under there he noticed they didn't even touch the skrews needed to preform and alignment. The sleeve used to move the steering wheel back in position was also untouched.. I took it back to them, told them they needed to actually do the work I paid them for, and that I would be checking. I'm never going there again, worst experience I've ever had. They are absolute frauds. They will take your money and screw you over at every chance they get. read more

( I am sure the guys at the other location are good as well) The men that work at Lindsey are among the best of the best. My son lives in Phoenix and I live in Mesa. We will drive or have our cars towed to this location. They do not inflate the problem or the cost. They go out of their way to work at getting the cost down. I have had my car worked on by a lot of other shops. I always come out hundreds of dollars higher than what I went in there for. I can not sing the praises of this shop any louder. Avoid Big O Tire in Fountain, CO. At all costs! Brought my car in today for a tire to be plugged and a simple tire rotation. 5 hours later we were notified that the vehicle was ready... Upon leaving the establishment, got about 40' down the road, and the right front tire and wheel came off the vehicle, destroying all lug nuts and stems. It also caused tertiary damage to rotor, wheel, brake caliper, and God knows what else. Management did not seem to be emotionally affected by the lack of quality control / quality assurance. The attitude was "eh, we'll fix it." They did not seem too concerned with the fact that my family could have been injured had this happened at a faster rate of speed. Maybe the lack of service was due to the fact that I had a coupon? You know what they say, "Cheap ain't good, and good ain't cheap." Will absolutely never, ever go to this establishment again, nor any other Big O Tire. Big O Fat Liars with ZERO integrity or customer care. I need to warn people about this place i took in a truck i was thinking of purchasing they gave me a quote that with $600 in repairs it would be a steal, the truck was in great mechanical shape. so after purchasing the truck i took it in and they charged me $1700 to fix it and then they mentioned after they recharged the ac compressor it exploded and that would be another $1200 to fix. one of the repairs i requested was a new battery and they charged me for a new battery i revived a different battery that was old not new. After going back in to lee them know about they battery they said they would order me a new one after waiting 5 days i went back and they couldn't find the order it wasn't placed. usually i'm patient and if a business does not preform i'll simply find someone who deserves my business but i have never been more appalled in my life DO NOT use this service. read more

I normally do all maintenance on my vehicles on my own, but because I had recently sold my house, I was staying with my brother in Gilbert Arizona and didn't have access to my tools and space. So I took my truck in to this shop for an oil change service prior to my trip to MN. After arriving in KS, my engine light came on. I checked the code online and learned that my oil was low. My truck only has 36k miles on the engine so there is no leak anywhere. I called Big O from KS and expressed my disappointment. They were not very helpful. They wanted me to take my truck in for a free oil change when I return. Are you kidding me? So I stopped at an Oreilly's Auto Parts to purchase some oil and topped it. On my way back through northern AZ, my EGR failed on my truck so I took it into a dealership for repair in Cottonwood Arizona. The dealer reported to me that I should have my air cleaner replaced while it was in their shop for EGR repair. I told them that I had only gotten it replaced about 3500 miles ago before my trip. He showed me the dirty old air cleaner that was on my truck. So, the oil may or may not have gotten changed. The oil filter that was on the truck looked old also. So, I paid for an oil change service and got nothing. I am so disgusted with them. I am just glad that my engine was not damaged. No wonder that Big O can never compete against Discount Tires. Big O should reassess their business ethics. I will NEVER give my business to Big O Tires again. DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

Went to get a flat fixed and oil change but the technicians only rotated tires and did the change. Didn't even look at the flat in the trunk. Had to go back and then had to wait 4 days for a new tire to come in. Got new tire but found that an EXPENSIVE Lexus hubcap was missing. Talked to them to, denied losing the hubcap and claimed they weren't responsible for any lost hub caps. Didn't say sorry or give me any future discounts for my troubles. Additionaly they lost the lug nut lock for the wheels and had to get them to find that as well. They showed me 10 different locks they had absconded from previous customers and I made them check them all until we found mine. Long Story Short, DO NO VISIT THIS BIG O TIRES FOR ANY REASON AT ALL. Customer Service is crap, they lose your hubcaps and tire locks, and as a whole are just a bad business. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. I have had nothing but issues since the day I let them touch my car. Bought the tires during a sale with a warranty package. Get the tires put on and notice the car is pulling to the right. Go back and they say "no problem, we will check the alignment ". They re-align the car and when I leave, I immediately go back because it's still pulling. The manager asks a tech to drive my car with me in it and he immediately tells me that he can't believe that someone test drove this and thought it was okay. Then he says "they shouldn't let the new guy test drive cars they know are having issues with". We go back to the shop to put it on the alignment rack for the 3rd time. This time they tell me they can't align the car within manufacturer specifications and that I need an aftermarket bolt to force the car left. When I asked why my 2015 car needed an aftermarket bolt he said that's a great question because they couldn't see any damage to the car or tires and I should go talk to Toyota. I declined the aftermarket piece and went to my dealer. Toyota was able to align the car within specifications so they said there was nothing wrong with the car and to look at the tires. I have been back and forth with Big O since January and they refuse to admit that there is anything wrong with the tires. When I went for a second opinion at another Big O location the tech who drove with me admitted that in his opinion the tires they recommended for my car just weren't a great fit and that they should try a different brand that would work better. The customer service man I had been working with, Nef, then stopped returning my calls and then the new customer service rep said he couldn't find my file of conversations from the past 4 months. He pretty much had me resubmit everything I had as far as paperwork goes and also had me write a summary of what has been going on and told me to email it to him. Then he sent me an email saying they would not be investigating my case any further and I haven't heard from anyone sense after multiple attempts. Big O has terrible customer service, I paid a lot of money for tires in my car has never drove straight since I touched it. The only thing they ever offered to do to fix it was order me an aftermarket bolt that my dealer told me I didn't need, I paid for an alignment that they were never actually able to complete after three attempts. Their own employees told me that this was wrong and that they should make it right and that they recommended tires for my car that they shouldn't have which is why I am having the problems. I would never recommend anyone using this location or this franchise for tires or alignments. Just pay a little bit of extra money and it will be well worth it in the long run. read more

Showed up right on time and they said it was a 3 hour wait. 3 hours later I called in and they said they just started, 2 hours after that I came in and they hadn't touched my truck. After waiting 5 hours to get new tires and they haven't even started I took my keys back. I brought my car in for the monsoon special advertised (oil change, new wipers, tire rotation). When I arrived later to pick up my vehicle I was informed that they had broken one of my lug nuts during the rotation. The lug nut was in good condition prior ( the gentleman working there, Chris Carrillo, even said it was and was surprised it broke), so I'm thinking it broke due to ineptitude or maybe it just happens. Either way, the customer service and the way in which the staff conducted themselves is inexcusable. I wasn't contacted when the lug nut broke and had they actually had one in stock, would they even have told me it happened? Upon returning the next day I was greeted with attitude when I explained I was here for a replacement lug nut that had been broken yesterday when having my car serviced. Here I am, inconvenienced and wasting another hour to hour and half getting this sorted out because I was told that's how long it takes to replace one lug nut. I don't even know if they actually changed the oil in my vehicle because there was no sticker indicating they did and when the vehicle is due for another. After all of this, I will be taking my car to the dealership and having them inspect the tire and make sure everything was properly installed and there was no stripping when the nut broke. Unprofessional staff and low quality service. I know that it's nice to save a little money, just remember you get what you pay for. read more

Took my truck in to have new tires and rims put on and all went well until the end when I went to go get my truck. I walked up and the guy working on my truck said your tire is going to rub be careful don't want to puncture your tire. Right after he said that as I was still watching him and this other worker got in my truck and punched it out of the shop while cranking the wheel as hard as it will go to make it rub intentionally. I would not recommend these people the managers are fine it's just the workers working on your car you have to worry about. Only use this place if you have no other option. read more

Don't bother using their free service/oil change coupons. Vehicle was inspected by Chris and this is the second time i've came here and had lies told about my vehicle status. The first time they told me my throttle body was in life or death urgency that needed to be replaced, and they had a $600+ upcharge just on the part and a lot more for labor. I took it to my main mechanic, and he cleaned it and nothing was wrong at all. Annoying because it just makes more effort to actually take it to a real mechanic. Second time I was told there was a leak, and I asked more about the issue and the dude just left lol. Me and my brother tried to get someone but we just ended up checking it. No leak and mechanic again said no issues. Don't get fooled and use another mechanic to give you his opinion. Wish the management changed. Again lol. read more

Went in to get a nearly brand new tire patched. This guy "Herman" took one look at it, and said he could order me a brand new tire. '' well I'd rather just get this one patched" I told him. Went in for their special 19.99 oil change and tire rotation. Immediately I was told I needed the synthetic motor oil change (now 49.99) AFTERWARDS, I looked in my owners manual and on page 354 it says, "You may use a synthetic motor oil if it meets the same requirements given for a conventional motor oil: it displays the API Certification Seal, and it is the proper weight. You must follow the oil and filter change intervals shown on the information display" -- In other words, I did NOT have to use synthetic! Of course they nit picked apart my car and came up with my cabin and air filters that needed changing. They were dirty, so i reluctantly agreed. Little did I know the cabin filter I was sold for 49.00, you could have bought at O'Reilly's for 18! They charged me $19 for an air filter that I could have bought for 12! NEVER again will I go to or recommend this rip off joint. read more

As consumers we have to be fair and honest. We can't just look at all the bad reviews (many which are justifiable) and have it taint your perspective WITHOUT FIRST giving the business the opportunity to make things that went wrong...right... Well, I had a very sour experience with my statement, but honestly, the guys at the counters sometimes can only do what the CORPORATE IMPOSED SYSTEMS AND POLICIES allow them to do. My statement after getting some work done was over priced by a pretty hefty amount. I did my homework on what I should have been charged and went back the following day, explained the situation in a descent and professional manner to the store manager Steve.. Credit must also be given to Leo for acknowledging that something needed "fixing" with the invoice/statement. Suffice it to say, they made what could have been a bad thing, right.. For that I give them credit. I would rate them higher than 3 stars but the corp policies and "SHOP SUPPLIES" fees is keeping them down and making me keep my options for future service open. Loose the Shop Supply Fee.!! "I'll bring the paper towels and WD40..." My statement was adjusted after a reasonable negotiation and for that I'm grateful. read more

This place breaks your car so you have to go back to them! Theses people are crooks! I took my explorer in a few months ago for an oil change and was told my seals are bad and theres a problem with my air intake system and i should bring it back in on a later day, so i did and after 8hrs they said they couldn't figure out what was wrong and I needed to bring it back the next day for a specialist. On my way home that day my motor started to smoke, when i took it back for the specialist the next day I asked about the smoking and they replyed with "we told you your seals are bad". After another full day with there specialist I was told the computer had gone bad and I now owed $800. 2 days later my breaks go out and are leaking.Now just a few days ago I take my 2nd vehicle in for in oil change and when i get it back they tell me my seals are bad and just today i find my breaks are leaking and going out. This place sucks... been there before and the waits were all ways long, so I made and appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. While I'm waiting for an hour and a half they keep trying to sell me things I didn't need. Paid the bill plus shop fees? When I got home i looked at my tires and they had not been rotated. I called the shop and told them, he told me they did rotate them. After arguing with him he agreed to rotate the tires. This time I had someone drop me off so wouldn't have to wait again. Went back near the end of the day and got my truck without further drama. When I got home noticed that my most of my lug nuts were stripped. I called and they told me the lug nuts were like that before...bull@#$t! I just hung up. The only place I could get the correct lug nuts were at the dealership. On my way there the next morning my truck started smoking. I pulled over to discover the cap from the power steering pump was missing. So I drove my truck to the dealership leaving a trail of smoke. Ended up spending around 100 bucks on parts. read more

I'm not surprised by the low reviews for here. They are initially not very friendly and I had a feeling they were trying to rip me off. I came in with a flat and just asked him to patch it. He right away told me I must have driven on the flat for awhile and I could tell he was going to try and get me to buy a new tire. I assured him it wasn't driven at all on the flat.He then called and told me it had been patched before, I told him I haven't ever patched it but maybe the previous owners. He quoted me $212 for the tire but they didn't have them. I told him to just patch it and I would price out tires. Again I couldn't tell whether he was just informing me or not... When I came to get the tire they seemed much more friendly and they put my tire back on and didn't charge me. They were so nice and chatted and joked. Big change from when I initially came in. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! Went to Big O on McKellips in Mesa, AZ for tire quote at 8am. Agreed on tires and scheduled a 1pm appointment which I was told would take 2 hrs. Dropped the car off at 12:45pm and was told it would take 3 hrs. Called on car status at 4:40pm and was told they were just STARTING to work on it and it would be ready in 1 1/2 hrs. Arrived at 6pm and was told the tires "just came in, we messed up on the inventory". I drove away at 7:45pm and went 1000 ft. to the intersection and the car died. Rough idle, engine light and other indicator lights on. WTF!!! Inspected the car the next morning and, in addition to the rough idle and lights issues, two hubcaps were damaged and the glove box was off track. Went back to Big O immediately. They went over the car and the manager told me it was all set and "we forgot to connect something". I asked about my hubcaps and he said "we try to be careful, sorry". He said "they could do nothing" about the hubcaps. Stay away from the place unless you want more aggravation and issues!!! read more

Terrible service. I went in yesterday to get tires. They didn't have the kinda needed as they are special order. They said they have a store 10 miles away that canbring them later that day but the guy tells me as soon as I get back everything will be ready to go so I can be in and out. When I come back the following day at 9 when it opens they tell me to wait then 30 mins later they tell me it will be under1 hour to complete. Then when I check in again from the waiting room he tells me the tires were delivered to a different store. It took 2 and a half hours to get done. They didn't apologize or anything. The last place I will ever go is big o tires on Lindsay and Warner!! read more

Stay away from this place at all cost!!!!! If I could give this place a negative rating I would!!! I went here on Sunday because I was having problems with my battery draining after the car sat overnight. I initially thought it was a starter or alternator and took it to them and had it checked out. I had a printer connected to my battery and they thought that was the problem and told me that my alternator and starter was fine...I believe the honest mechanic was there that day. I had the same exact problem the next morning and decided to take it back and was told that it was my alternator. I gave them the okay to fix the problem and after they began doing the work they said that my air compressor died. My a/c was working fine when I drove in and was quoted a $1100 to fix both. I was a little skeptical but needed my car for work and gave them the okay. I went home and after spending all of that money my car still wasn't starting and my a/c compressor was making a loud noise and shooting Freon into the air. I went back to the shop and was told that they accidentally put too much Freon in my car and everything should be fine. The next day I had the same problem only my a/c starting getting hot and on top of that they never fixed the problem of my battery draining overnight!!! It was an absolute nightmare and they actually added to the problem. I took my vehicle back three times and they never fixed the issue that was causing my battery to drain and were actually telling me that I would need to spend another $1400 to fix the problem. They tried telling me that my a/c issue was due to a teeny tiny leak and my radiator even though my car was not overheating and besides I mentioned to the mechanic that my a/c is a sealed system. The salesman could have put dye in my system to see where the leak where was coming from but instead he chose to attempt to deceive me and assumed that I had absolutely no knowledge of cars. I decided to take my car to a different shop with a very honest mechanic named Gary's Quality Automotive located at 635 W Commerce Ave, Gilbert, AZ 85233 and he fixed the issue for $50.00. There are two Gary's automotive so make sure you choose the correct one and you will be completely satisfied. I am posting this review because I realize the salesman up front are taking advantage of people and attempting to make money by selling the customer things that are not needed. I believe the salesman upfront make money by upselling. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. I wished I had read the reviews before I took my vehicle there. read more

Go somewhere else!! They take no accountability for taking too long or making mistakes in there service. I took my car to them for an oil change and tire rotation. They offer a vehicle inspection with their services. They provided a copy of their inspection findings and at first I was real pleased. 3 days later my tire pressure light turned on. I stopped by the dealership as I was close by. They checked the pressure and discovered that 3 tires were at 30 psi and one was at 27 psi. There where no punctures or issues, the tires where simply low due to normal use. The inspection report Big O provided stated they were all good at 35 psi. I went back to Big O to express my concern that the inspection results in writing were not correct. The manager response was that the vehicle inspection was free. I reminded him I was a paying customer and did not just receive this free inspection. I also told him I didn't understand that just because the inspection was free, it didn't have to be accurate. He simply put his hands in the air and shrugged his shoulders and said it was free what do you want. With the amount of oil change and tire shops around, there is no reason to go back here. I'm new to AZ, but I've always been very pleased with Big O in California. So today, when I got a flat I decided to head to the closest Big 5 and have my two rear tires replaced. I phoned ahead and was told that they would have my tires in around 2:30pm and would give me a call. I got the call around 4pm and headed right over. The wait was longer than I am accustomed to, and after a while I was called into the garage area. I notice that the hood of my car is open. "That's odd," I think since they are only supposed to be swapping the rear tires. The mechanic explains to me that they can't get the hood to latch and wants to know if there is anything wrong with it. "No, it's never given me any trouble at all in six years, and why the hell are you poking arounud under my hood when all I want done is the two rear tires replaced?" He explains that they are doing a "courtesy check" of all my fluids and such. Great, now please close my hood. Over the next 20 minutes a procession of mechanics spray WD40 into the latch and slam the hood with increasing violence. Eventually, someone gets it closed. The manager comes over for me to pay the bill (which I do). I tell him that I'm pretty upset that my hood was fine, didn't need to be messed with and now has to be violently slammed to close. He gives me a line that "we open and close hoods all the time, and we couldn't possibly have screwed it up." Ok, fine, whatever, I've already spent too much time here and need to be on my way. I leave, angry, but done, or so I think. About a mile from the shop, as I approach a stoplight my rear hatchback pops open. Apparently they couldn't manage to close that properly either. There are some good Big O's out there, this isn't one of them. Avoid this location like the plague. read more
