Took my truck here last week for an AC recharge, within the next day it started blowing hot air again, finally bring my truck back to see if there's a leak in the system as the recharge was warrantied. This time I decided not to wait in store. I dropped my truck off at 7 AM, after finishing work I figured I'd just go in and wait till it was all finished up, but as I roll up I see my truck hasn't even moved. I feel 10 hours is a fair amount of time for the vehicle to at least move from the spot I left it. Went to grab my keys and all I got was a "sorry about that." Being a female and trying to find a good mechanic appears to be quite difficult for me, and I'm still having no luck. When a company shows no concern for children, it becomes extremely concerning about the quality of service a customer receives. I'd like to share the experience I had today at this location. My appointment was set for 1 p.m. For an oil change. I arrived on time for my oil change appointment. I didn't leave this location until 3:15 pm to get a simple oil change. Around 2:25 pm. The customer service technician approached me in the waiting area and informed me that my air filter and cabin air filter needed to be replaced. I declined the service and told them I'd look into it later. I inquired as to how much longer it would take to finish my car. I need to pick up my child up from elementary school at 3:00 p.m. I was told that it wouldn't be much longer. They were wrapping up everything. Around 3:10, I left the waiting room and walked to the front of the store to ask how long it would take to finish my car. I said it again: I have to pick up my child from school, and school has already ended, and I need to pick my son up. I've already waited more than 2 hours for a simple oil change. At 3:15. I paid for my oil change and immediately drove to my son's school to pick him up. I didn't want to wait for the receipt to be printed or for the service recommendations. All I could think of was my child waiting in the hot sun, scared and wondering where I was. When a company expresses no concern for children to its customers, it speaks volumes. No one should ever have to wait 2 hours and 15 minutes for an oil change, especially since this location was not even busy when I arrived for my appointment at 1:00 pm. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a woman; they thought they could take advantage of me, or they just didn't care. Following my experience today, I just hope and pray that they didn't do anything to mess with my car. I will never, ever return to this location. They've lost my trust and business. Nobody messes with my child. Ps. Everyone biggest fear after leaving a mechanic shop is hoping and praying they will not tamper with your vehicle. I just blew a tire on my car that I'm trading in tonight. Called and asked if I could get in before closing. He said yeah bring it down. Get there and the guy I just talked to on the phone is super rude. Another guy comes out from the back to take a phone call, and the guy who I'm talking to starts bad mouthing other members of his team in front of me. Then he says he can only do 4 new tires. I have put 2 on at a time multiple times. When I questioned it he just slid the keys back across the counter to me. So bad attitude, bad service. I'll never be back here. yall hear me when i say do not trust them with your business. I went in for an oil change, probably one of the most simple services you can offer. I pay $100, then they are saying I need a 200$ fuel system service on a brand new car, which didn't make any sense to me. (got that confirmed that I didn't need that). I get home same day...my car is leaking oil. I go back and the man tells me he wasn't paying attention which lead to oil spraying everywhere leading to the leak. :) Luckily I brought my car to get a diagnostic test only to find out, big o tires OVERFILLED my oil leading to a bigger issue and lead to spending an additional $300 for a repair. I went to big O tires on Williams Field Rd in Gilbert. I purchased 4 tires there nearly a year ago. My tire pressure was low and I was due for a tire rotation and oil change. I arrived at 9 am I was told my wait would be 1 to 1 and a half hours. I was there over 4 hours my car wasn't ready until 12 p.m. I got no oil change so they took 4 hours to rotate my tires and add air pressure. I am writing this review on behalf of my 84 year old father who just returned from a tune up for his Toyota FJ Cruiser. My father asked the manager if all the work was completed according to the advertisement's work guarantee specifically a full tire rotation. The manager says: Yes, and noted in the invoice that it was completed. My father proceeded to ask: do you think your employees are honest enough to tell you that they rotated the tires? Manager says: Yes. Then my father told him that " then you must not uphold your "Honesty Guaranteed" commitment because prior to you working on my car, I took pictures of my front and back tires and marked them to verify if it has been done. When services were done, I checked and noticed that my tires weren't rotated at all as the same tires had those marks after I got my car back." The manager seemed stunned and went back to verify with his team if it was completed. Manager returned and apologized to my father and stated that it wasn't rotated after all and he would like to take the car back to rotate the tires while he waits. Keep in mind he had already waited for this work to be done. In other words, they are reporting work that is not done on the vehicle that they quoted my father initially. I consider this fraud and negligent in this location's part and I believe the intent was to discount the fact that my father is an elderly person and was taken advantage of. I can only imagine this happening to others like him. I advised my father to never return to this location and will be reporting this incident to your corporate headquarters. Whether the cost is $67 or $500, as a consumer, this is disappointing to experience. I strongly advise you to conduct proper training for your staff and more importantly review your company values as they are not being fostered, at least not at this location. My car was parked OUT in the lot and NO one had communicated with me! Well, the cabin filter was replaced; however, thy didn't even have the engine filter in stock!! So, there I sat waiting. For NOTHING. I leave; the next day I go to use my windshield wipers. Lo & behold, the water reservoir tank was EMPTY. So, did they even check all of the fluids they were supposed to? Do not come to this place unless you want to pay way over what anybody else would charge. I was working with this man named Steve and they charged me eighty six dollars to change my front. After Waiting for about an 2 hours and letting Steve know I really had to get home to attend to my pup. Finally I see, my car get moved from the parking lot to the service shop. Literally 3 minutes later the guy walks in with my keys and the light was switched out. I expected to be charged at least forty-five dollars maybe fifty at the most. They charged me $86. The light bulb was only twenty dollars and the labor for less than two minutes was fifty dollars. Steve tried to say well labor one point something minutes. So pretty much this place charges fifty dollars 2 minutes Of labor. I find that very hard to believe I'm not done with this place.I'm definitely getting hold of the better business bureau. I told my husband I was going to walk over and get bosa donuts and to pick me up there . I was in bosa for about ten mins walked out and didn't see him . I walked back over to big o and my husband was still standing by the desk and the guy was still in the phone . About five mins later he asked the person on the phone if he could place them on hold. Shout out to Mark - we had a stressful situation Saturday with 2 small boys and a dead battery. We showed up at 11 on a very busy day but Mark took the time to reassure us that they would check the battery AND also check the alternator. The battery is difficult to get to in this car and required additional install - they worked us in and found it was just the battery. Also advised that with the keyless fob, if you are keeping the fob too close in proximity to the car (in the garage) that they try to stay connected, which can drain the battery. I'm really not the type to write a negative review but I felt I had to. I came in for a popped tire, services received were two new tires and an alignment which came out to $435. I was told by Kevin that I could sign up for an Acima plan that would allow me to pay off this balance in 90 days without any extra fees or interest. I took the option knowing I could pay it but wanting to break up the payments. When I went online a week or so later to check the loan, it was showing $585.00. Confused, called Big O's, Kevin said to call Acima as it must be a mistake, on his end it showed $435. Call Acima, they let me know Big O's charges a $50 service fee (he didn't mention that in person or on the phone when we had just spoke), as well as Acima charging an extra $100. That's $150 more than the total for my services. I normally would not think this is a big deal, but the way the economy is at this time and the price of everything, this is extremely frustrating. I feel as though Kevin lied to me on two separate occasions, once when I signed up for Acima (if I had known it was $150 total extra, I would NOT have signed up, would've paid the total up front - I was told there would be no extra fees), then again when I called asking for clarification on why the total amount for the loan was so much higher than my total for services. I will not be coming back to this Big O's for services or to any Big O's for that matter. I am putting this here hoping that someone else in a similar position isn't led astray by Kevin or another sales partner here and that businesses can strive for honesty and integrity when working with customers. read more

If I could I'd give zero stars. I gave the shop a shot because they were open earlier than discount tire and I'm now out $160 for a new tire and am stuck hour from home because their patch failed. While I understand that a patch is "supposed to be temporary", per the assistant manager. I expected it to last more than 8-hours. Per the tech at discount, where I ended up stranded at, "it looks like the tech didn't put the plug in right." I called and asked to be compensated for the new tire and was told that the patch is temporary, that they couldn't do anything and that I was out the cost of the tire. First off I had a blow out and barely made it in here. They charged me $1400 for four new tires because they said I have all wheel drive. My sensor never once has turned on in the past. Once I left my light wasn't reset so I had to drive 45 miles back the next day. The guy JASON- ASSISTANT MANAGER tells me I had a broken sensor he was already aware but never mentioned it. They broke my TPMS sensor and charged me for a rebuild kit. My Service Tire Monitoring System light came on and now they want to charge me for a new sensor. Total: $132 Took it to Discount Tire and they informed me Big O Tires over inflated all tires and never mapped the sensors with the correct tire. Plus, Discount Tire sensor repair cost is $82 so I plan to fix it there. If Big O Tires employees at this location recommend a replacement, rest assured that if you don't replace it with them, they'll sabotage it to break shortly after you drove away thinking you'll bring it back to them. If that's the case, take it somewhere else and avoid this location as much as possible. DO NOT go to Big O Tires for any maintenance unless you want to pay more for low quality service! read more

Took my car here to get an oil change, they didn't replace the crush washer so it leaked oil till I changed it myself and they didn't screw the skid place on correctly so it fell off on the highway I took my car here to get the transmission fluid replaced, I triple checked to make sure they could do it in one day. They took the old fluid out, but didn't have the right wrench to put the new fluid in so I had to wait an extra day I had them flush my radiator so my heater would work better, heater did not work better till I did it myself They replace the coolant hose at the same time. While I was driving up the mountain my car had low coolant; when I checked the engine the hose had slipped of the radiator causing my car to overheat. They didn't even tighten the hose clamp. Big O Tires??? More like a Big O Failure!!! These guys are liars and crooks and do not have it together. Don't bring your car here. Turn around and go to Firestone or your uncle's house. I came here and asked for two tires and an alignment. The person behind the counter gave me quotes for two tires, and I even showed him the two tires that needed to be replaced. Two days later, they called and said, "Hey, your tire is here." I called back and said tire... Do you mean tire(s)? I said I needed two. They only ordered one (1) tire. So I had to wait two more days for the other tire to come. When the other tire came in, they brought the car in, and they put the tires on. Before I paid, I asked the manager did they do the alignment as well? He said, " Yes, we did the alignment." I drove off a happy customer, only to jump on the highway and notice that my car was severely pulling so much that the driver's wheel was turning to the right as soon as I pulled my hand off of it. And my tire sensors went off... Not only did they not align my tires, but they also put too much air in my front tires and not enough in my back, causing all my tier sensors to go off, warning me that my car tires were unsafe. So I brought the car back, and they said they would fix it. They took the car in, took 2 hours with it. They handed me the keys back and said all was fixed. And when I drove off to run my errands, I felt the car still pulling to the right. I took the car into a Firestone Tire shop to have them do a full inspection. They showed me that the Big O Tires told me a be a Big OLie because they did absolutely nothing to the car. I've been having a hard time finding a brake control module for my older Lexus and one of my friends recommended I go to Big O tires. After checking Napa, Autozone, Amazon, and Ebay I decided to go here. They were so quick to help me out and said it would be a couple hours to diagnose. Their complimentary shuttle gave me a ride back to my house and I found out that same day they would be able to rebuild my control module. Their shuttle driver too was so nice. When they called me a couple hours later, they gave me the option of them ordering the part from Lexus, but that would take over a month and they couldn't guarantee that Lexus would even have the part available. My car is a 2000 after all. I settled on them rebuilding the part for me and they cut the labor costs in half for me. I would definitely go here again. After my horrible experience with the BIG O on Germain & Gilbert road yesterday. I called this location. I spoke to a man named Mark and explained my situation explaining my tires were still under warranty and I needed a repair. It was 4:50 PM and he said bring it down. I had the tire in the back of my husbands truck and when I got there I was greeted with smiling faces and helped right away. I explained that I needed to go home to get my car (as I was still in my husbands truck) and they said no problem. I cannot believe the level of customer service from this store to the one I had to go to earlier that day... Where I actually purchased my tires from but will never make that mistake again. I will be purchasing tires from this location moving forward. I have a high stress job (I work for an AC company) and I was very stressed out over this and Mark and his team put me at ease right away! I wanted to thank the entire staff who I interacted with. SCAM UPSELL HELL AWFUL BEWARE!! Went in for a simple brake/rotor job. Dude calls me back half-hour later quoting me almost $2,200!!!!! I never asked them to tear my car (2019 Chevy Tahoe) apart and do an inspection. I just asked for brakes fixed. They took it upon themselves to do an inspection and told me I needed front and rear brakes (even though Sun Devil auto fixed my front brakes 2 months earlier). After revealing to him I had new front brakes and, caught in a lie, the dude texted me back that I was right, I didn't need new brakes, that he must have read the tech's report wrong. Suuuuuure. Must have read a lot wrong because I have a completed inspection report FROM THIS BIG O STORE telling me everything was fine with my car JUST THREE WEEKS EARLIER! Dude was trying to upsell me new tires, transmission fluid ($660+), brake fluid, air filter, and some other filter (in addition to the brakes I didn't need). After asking them to pull my two-year old Tahoe off the rack, it was taking too long to get my truck back to me so I walked into the bay only to notice a tech had my glove compartment pulled out and all of its contents tossed on the floor (including a valuable item laying under the weight of my owner's manual and everything else). He said he needed to put an air filter back in. I reminded him I only came in for brakes so I didn't understand why my glove compartment had been removed and its contents carelessly dumped on the ground. As I drove away, the air conditioner was making a very loud noise like a helicopter/lawn mower. They were either incompetent, apathetic, or vindictive in their replacement of the air filter I never asked them to look at. I drove over to Sun Devil auto where they fixed my brakes exactly as I had asked. Unbelievably bad experience at Big O! DO NOT COME HERE. DUANE. I hope this interaction involving Duane is known to management as well as any future customers if this man is still employed. I went into this location July 3, 2024 to get two tires replaced. My family and I have trusted and used this company for years, but after the complete lack of professionalism and customer service from Duane and the fact that he charged at my mother and I aggressively in the building, I will no longer be coming to this business for any of my car needs. When I came in, there was no warmth or pleasant demeanor from Duane and I already felt uncomfortable coming in by myself as a young woman. I wanted two tires of top quality and Duane said all they had in stock were one brand (low quality), and when I asked where that tire ranks on durability and tire life he just said "It's a good tire". If you are employed at a car/tire shop I should expect you know about quality/brand of a tire and be able to speak on it, and answer questions about it. He didn't seem to know anything. I cannot trust someone that is so blasé and unknowledgeable about a product. When they didn't have the quality of tires I wanted in stock, I kindly asked if he could call the Big O Tires down the street to see if they had the tires I needed in stock. Duane then ripped the phone numbers that were pasted in front of HIS computer, slapped them on the counter in front me, clearly annoyed, and said "Here are the other numbers...you can go ahead and call them". I was so appalled I couldn't even speak at that point. I could tell Duane was annoyed I didn't want the cheap tires he was trying to sell me so I said I was going to find another place. He tossed my car keys on the counter and said "alright, have a nice day lady". He was then called out on his lack of customer service skills and that obviously set him off. Another employee (I wish I got his name but he was amazing) came from the back and was understandably confused walking in to this commotion. When I was explaining what had happened Duane was shouting that he was so busy and had 7 other things to do and didn't have the time to help us. Duane said "google exists for a reason" as if that's supposed to help anything. My mother asked for his name and he said "My name is Duane" and started charging up to my mom trying to be intimidating and said "Do you want to see my ID?" and shoved it in her face. The other employee had to pull him away from the door because he was about to get physical. I've never felt so uncomfortable and afraid in a place of business for a simple tire replacement, and more than anything I want to make it known to management that you are emplying violent and unprofessional people. ***STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. SCAM*** If I could give ZERO stars I would. I was driving my fathers car and the car would not start in the Fry's parking lot on Higley & Pecos. We called AAA and while we were waiting I asked him when he had the vehicle in for service and he said September at Big O Tires. I had him call up Big O Tires because he mentioned the battery was replaced and to confirm because there is no way this could happen and the person he spoke with confirmed the battery was replaced and advised him "Don't let them take the battery because it still has a warranty". We waited for AAA and mentioned he had the battery replaced and when the tech opened up the hood...It is the AAA battery installed 3 years ago with the stickers still on it (picture). The AAA tech said it's the AAA battery that he has on file that was installed 3 years ago and it still has the stickers they place when it was installed. We got home and he pulled out the invoice (picture) and confirmed that he paid for a battery "MT-24F INTERSTATE 75 MONTH BATTERY" for $123.95 You can see from the pictures that this is NOT an Interstate battery and it is in fact the AAA battery he obtained back in 2019. The bigger question here is, who knows what else this place put in these invoices from his visits that they never did the work on. I had an incredibly deceiving experience at this BIG O location today. Eric Baca was happy to be of service in the beginning of my app't but quickly deceived me upon pickup of my vehicle. My boyfriend (who knows A LOT about cars in general & wasn't w/me at the app't) asked to speak w/Eric Baca to confirm the services needed. Eric confirmed that 2 services would be performed & the total cost would equal $260 which seemed reasonable to us. 4 hours later & upon checkout, Eric (with a 'know-it-all' smirk on his face) states the total was $530 Almost TRIPLE what he originally quoted us. I gave him pushback & reminded him of his conversation w/us from earlier & he kept blaming my Man for approving the additional work that was done (which was a complete fabrication of the truth). Eric gave us a small credit (still not what he originally quoted) & made it seem like he was doing us a favor. As a business owner, I would be so nervous having an employee like Eric who's deceiving towards customers. This experience put such a bad taste in my mouth. We called to complain after the fact, & Eric (lying again) said he would credit his faulty business procedures if I came back in the store. At this point, I don't even want a refund. All about the $$$ here. Sneaky. Unreliable. Can't be trusted with your vehicle. The only plus to this facility is the ambiance inside makes you feel welcome. However the workers will do and say anything to get you to spend more money than you need to spend. Lots of other auto shops nearby. Choose wisely. They're all liars in this place and do nothing. I've given this place three chances and they failed every single time. They will take two days to do it while change and sell you services that are unnecessary and then not cover things that they told you were covered. Had appointment set for tire alignment/rotation. Waited almost 2 hours before work even began. Asked twice how long it would take. Apparently they forgot about it...TWICE..and 2 hours were wasted. Very disappointing. read more
