Please avoid this place at all costs. Total rip off. For years, as Maricopa grew, they had a monopoly on car repairs in the area. They routinely charge 50%-80% more than area averages for repairs. They used to lower those prices if you complained. But now they just default to the, "Well, we have financing if you can't afford to pay for it". I made the mistake of getting my tires from them. They performed an alignment, or I should say a "misalignment". When I made them of aware of a shimmy that had developed, they checked my vehicle and said the tires had worn unevenly due to a bad alignment. Then they had the b***s to tell me they couldn't rotate them, and I needed to buy new tires from them. Wow! Shady. Do yourself a favor and find another store up in the valley, even if you have get a tow. Otherwise, they know they have you over the barrel and will take advantage of you. Especially Leo. read more

I want to begin with I have patronized Big O (in Maricopa) this year alone for full sets of tires and oil changes on both of my vehicles. Even bearings and breaks on one $$. I was a loyal/regular (on a first name basis) customer. Two weeks ago, I checked my vehicle in for a fuel leak. They recommended replacing the fuel pump that was in the tank. I was charged double the price of the pump. I sucked it up paying the full amount for the service at 998$. The day I picked up the vehicle I pulled out the lot and the check engine light came on. I turned around rechecked it back in. I was informed that the fuel pump (Just installed) was bad. They said they will replace it with genuine manufactures part. So, I checked it back in. Two days later they said "all better" I picked up the vehicle. I made it to my home, the check engine light came on again. I took it back. The next day. I was informed that it was a loose connector. I picked the car up on a Saturday day, that evening the light came on again. They were closed Sunday. So Monday, I went to Auto Zone used their diagnostic tool, and was informed of the part number and the part of the fuel system that was failing. I took the information to Big O and they said" We will order the part and call you when it arrives, we'll make it right" I called two days in a row to see if the part came.... Each time they said "it will be here tomorrow". Day three of the waiting, I did not call nor did I receive a call. On day four I went in person to inquire about the statuses of the part and repair. I was informed that the part was here and that I would be charged for it and its installation. To be clear there was no check engine light on when I brought the vehicle in originally. And they had multiple opportunities to diagnose the problem from day one. I even gave them the diagnostic report because they either missed it or did not do one. Terrible terrible terrible. Brought my truck in on May 27th because it was leaking some sort of oil/grease near my rear right tire. When I got it back they said the leak was repaired but they had damaged one of my rims. I paid $1100 and drove home. When I got home I noticed it was actually leaking still in the exact same spot but this time it's worse. I brought it back and they said they looked at it and nothing was wrong and the leak was from something in my truck bed. So I brought it home again and pressure washed my truck bed (although I didn't see anything in it) and sure enough the next day there was some sort of oil/grease leaking all over my driveway from the exact same area. So once again I brought it back and sure enough it had nothing to do with chemicals in my truck bed and just wasn't repaired correctly, the first TWO times. But now they say they can't find the rear right axle for my truck and that even the dealership doesn't make it anymore. This is a 2018 dodge ram 1500 big horn, ifs not 20 years old, it's not even 5 years old. So here we are more than 30 days have gone by and it is still not repaired and supposedly they are trying to find the axle but the only time I hear from them is if I call them or go into the shop. Needless to say I can tell this is probably going to take getting an attorney and corporate involved so the process has started unfortunately. UPDATE: Tuesday July 11, 2023 and I haven't heard from them on when to expect the part (not even a date RANGE). So it's now been 1.5 months and my truck still isn't repaired. Update: Wednesday July 12, 2023 still nothing so I went IN to Big O and now they say they found the part at a Dodge dealership in San Tan area and will pick it up tomorrow (Thursday) and will have their ONLY qualified tech come in on his day off on Friday and repair it. Update: Thursday July 13, 2023 no call from anyone confirming they got the part. Update: Friday July 14, 2023: 10:00 am I called, spoke with Amy and was told they haven't been able to send someone to get the part yet but as soon as they do they will call me. Wow... 12:30 pm I called again and spoke with Amy, she says they STILL haven't been able to go get the part yet but will definitely get it today and then will call me. I explained again that it's really important and that I had to take the day off and lost money because of this. Amy literally showed ZERO sign of compassion, no "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, NOTHING". 3:45 pm still no call from anyone at Big O and so once again "I" have to call them. I speak with Amy again who now says they have the part (so they didn't call me as soon as they got it like they said they would) but now there are no techs that can put it in. Again I explained the urgency and zero compassion from her whatsoever. Keep in mind this has been going on since MAY and was the fault of Big O's tech (whom they say they terminated, which I was surprised at and would have never wanted). Amy tells me that if I drop my truck off tonight they will start to put the part in as soon as they open at 7 am. 5:50 pm I go in to drop truck/keys off and speak with Jamie who now tells me he has no idea when the tech that is off is going to come in to put the part in and he can't promise any time. I said well Amy told me another tech can put it in and Jamie says "yes but it'll take him longer". I said Mike (experienced tech) specifically said he could do it in about 1.5 hours and then asked him if it would be reasonable if the other tech could get it done in 3 hours, Jamie said "possibly but i dont know". So now, after 1.5 months of trying to get this leak repaired and Big O doing more damage toy truck then good, they won't even commit to making this enough of a priority to get it done by a certain time tomorrow. read more

I took my car in a big O this morning to get the tires rotated and balanced. How do I eat a little bit but that's to be expected I did not have an appointment what amazes me is the tire mechanic found a little tiny what he thought was a nail in my tire asked me to take a look at it asked me if I wanted him to pull the nail out and I said Yep let's pull it out turned out it was a tiny rock nothing to worry about but I have to commend him on how he found that little tiny rock that was in my tire. These are Perelli P0 tires and they're not cheap so I really appreciate him finding it and being able to ascertain it it was just a little rock thanks guys read more

I dropped my car off first thing in the morning for an oil change. A service tech called me late morning and stated I needed new tires. I agreed. The whole day go by, and I had to call back and asked what was the status on my vehicle. Their response: oh, your vehicle been ready since 1:30. We tried it to call, but couldn't get through through. But somehow you were able to get through when you told me I needed new tires.....i basically waited all day for my vehicle for a simple oil change/new tires. I was highly disappointed, and upset. I couldn't get my errands done because of my wait time/lack on communication from Big O Tire, regarding the status of my vehicle. I had issues with the Maricopa location before, but this will be my last time dealing with them. I recommend going to a different location or not go to Big O Tire at all. read more

Warning!!!!!!!!! Never go to this store!!!!! Or any Big O tires for that matter!!! I was buying a truck and the seller took it here to fix a couple tires and get an oil change. the truck is now Wrecked because the Careless Technician didn't tighten down the lug nuts and the tire flew off while making a turn after leaving the store. Thankfully the gentleman driving was not on the freeway or the truck would have probably flipped and the tire may have created a horrible accident. The truck is now worthless all because these people are extremely careless as well as they lie to try to weasel out of their wrong doing!!!!! I took two of my cars in to have tire work done. I had a horrible wait time just to start off. My truck took 9 hours for them to put 4 tires on and to get it back. The rims on my truck work broken after getting the truck back they also forgot to close me air filter that I had to fix my hood was still open and I had to stop and close it myself. The worst part of all of this is that two days later I had to go back to have the wheels balanced again because they came off. After 3 hours of waiting they got the job done. My second car is sitting for hours just to have two tires replaced this time. I don't know how to get a good job done in a timely fashion but I will not tell anyone to come here unless it's life and death. read more

Decided that because of prior service here that I would decline and go to dealer. Dealer found bad compressor leaking and a bad hose. Refilling freon would have wasted $500 in a week's time. Had an appointment for 1pm and they didn't even look at my truck until after 7pm, even though they are scheduled to close at 6pm. I had to call shortly before 6pm to find out that they were still going to work on my truck since they didn't bother to call me. What's the point of making appointments if you don't at least try to stick to them? On top of that, they didn't do all of the agreed upon work. They changed my rear tires, but didn't pull and balance the front tires as requested. I still have a shimmy due to a missing weight on the right front wheel. Service that I have had in the pass wasn't great either, but this one ensures that I will never go back. I'm just glad that there is another option in town now. read more

The service here is terrible and the workers I interacted with were barely capable of doing their jobs. I came in with a flat tire and asked them if they could patch it. They said ok and that I was the 4th person in line since I arrived right as they opened up at 7AM. This ended up more than two hours for them to only say that they couldn't patch it because of where the leak was. They said that the only solution would be to buy TWO NEW tires to replace the ONE leaky tire I had. I respectfully declined and asked them to put on the spare tire I had in my truck. The employee came back about thirty seconds later and claimed that he did not have the tools to unhook my spare and put in on. This is a garage where they primarily service tires and this along with their attitudes proved to me that the employees in the garage and in the front were doing the absolute BARE MINIMUM. I was appalled at the "I don't care" attitude that permeated from the front office to the garage. All of the workers seemed to me like they hate their jobs based on my interactions with everyone in the store, and they are severely overworked and/or understaffed. I was seriously disappointed about every interaction I had with employees here and the service was poor. The employees seemed barely competent enough to work here and they still were all overwhelmed by the basic duties required for their job. I will very happily go elsewhere for my tire service and proudly tell everyone that this store is a poor imitation of a tire shop. Possibly the worst service. Called Sat to ask since I didn't have an appointment if they'd be able to do an oil change. The guy said sure bring it down ill make sure we get to it. That was 1130 am. Flash forward 445. I called to check and he said I had 3 in front of me, so I waited. Had BF drop me back off there at 630 and my car had not moved. I just told them to forget it I'd make an appointment. So Wed I had an appointment at 1pm. Went to the store next door came back at 130 and it was still sitting in the same spot! At that point I asked 1 of the guys to cancel my oil change, since it was clearly going to take awhile, and just check my tire. They jerk who check me in chimed in and said well I checked it in. As he was hurrying put the door to take his wife's car home. Which they made that clear! Never go here. Worth the drive to go some where else. read more

Recently took our car here for a slow tire leak. Told them we had just had the tires rotated & balanced at Discount Tires the week before, so we knew the low pressure was not due to a lack of servicing. A short while later we were shown the tire had a small nail in the center of the tread - but that the tire was too worn to even patch the hole, and that we should replace both front tires. The tires are the originals with around 22,000 miles, and we know originals don't last long, and they were worn - but the hole certainly seemed repairable, ans there was no other damage. Next day we took it to Fletcher's across the street, and they said the small hole was definitely repairable, and the tires had 2,000-3,000 miles left on them. They did not try to sell us new tires (but we bought 4 anyway). We won't be back! read more

They do not stand by their quotes or ask permission before performing additional work. I brought in my old Toyota Camry and was quoted around $700 to fix a gasket I believe (may have been oil leak). I said I was going to wait a day to decide because the car was only worth $2K. The manager told me he guaranteed that this would fix the problem so I went ahead. Once they got into it, they discovered it needed another $300 part. I said, "NO WAY". They said too bad they already did it or it wouldn't work once they put it back together. I said, "But the manager yesterday guaranteed that $700 would fix the problem--the car is only worth 2K!" He said, "I'm not going to eat this." Another time, they did an oil change with new filter, tire rotation, etc. I later went to the gym in the Villages (around the corner) and came back and discovered that all the oil had leaked out all over the garage and street (someone had forgotten to put the cap on once they drained it!!!) Instead of taking responsibility, they said the new filter had malfunctioned. They sent three people down to clean it up (took over 2 hours). Don't go here unless you're desperate. I've never been back and drive all the way to Sunset Automotive in Chandler (they have 4.5 stars on Google). Use someone with a better rating. Also put everything in writing...do not verbally agree to anything. read more

I will never ever take my car there again for anything. I will have my car towed to Chandler to avoid coming here. Prior to visiting this shop, I had my car maintenance at BMW. Fluids topped off and all the works. A few days later, I had a flat tire so I took it to Big O Tires Maricopa. They didn't have my tire in stock and they told me that the tire wouldn't get the until the next day. I told them I was going out of town and I'll need it by end of day. To make a long story short, I left my car there and I picked it up the next day. I walked in and got a really weird vibe. I left with my car and later that evening I started driving to San Diego. A few miles out I get a warning signal that my coolant is low. I turned back around to Maricopa to find a place to check the coolant in my car. Turns out someone drained out my coolant. Go figure! I didn't see anyone drain out my coolant but I find it freaking incredible how I just had my car maintenance and didn't have a coolant leak. MY CAR IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD!!!! I can't prove anything but I trust my intuition and it tells my to stay the freak away from there. read more

Very bad experiences. They stripped my lug nuts when they repaired a tire. I had to tow my car the next time I got a flat because there was no way to remove the tire. My college age son came in to replace two tires. They recommended he replace all 4. My husband came over and asked why? And the employee said "Trust me. You're going to need to soon." And my husband was furious. He said "Maybe my college age son WOULD trust you, but we just replaced those tires with brand new tires last MONTH." My father also had dishonest experiences with them.
