Very bad experiences. They stripped my lug nuts when they repaired a tire. I had to tow my car the next time I got a flat because there was no way to remove the tire. My college age son came in to replace two tires. They recommended he replace all 4. My husband came over and asked why? And the employee said "Trust me. You're going to need to soon." And my husband was furious. He said "Maybe my college age son WOULD trust you, but we just replaced those tires with brand new tires last MONTH." My father also had dishonest experiences with them. The people that work here are rude, condescending and have no concept of customer service. The last straw for me was when they lied to us about work needed on our breaks; they told my husband our truck needed a new roter, a new caliper to fix one that was "stuck" and two sets of break pads for the low price of $500. We took it to a friend who confirmed that the roter and calipers were just fine and we only needed one set of break pads = $150. I'll never trust this company to touch our vehicles again. read more

I got weaseled in with a $17.99 early bird coupon but then was told after the fact that they could not honor it because they decided to use synthetic oil even though my car doesn't need synthetic oil. So all they could do was give me $10 off. After waiting 2 hours with an appointment I ended up with a $62 dollar oil change after a $10 discount. Called Big-O at 930 am to ask what business was like. Thier reply: we are running through everything pretty quick today...bring your car by. Arrive 10am, get checked in for simple oil change and tire rotation. TWO HOURS LATER...my car is STILL sitting in the same spot! When I asked why they had not yet gotten to it, the rep said it was first come-first serve. I would have appreciated an honest time estimate prior to my visit. Friendly, but took WAY to long to perform services. It took over 2 hours to change my headlight. I could have changed it myself, but I wanted them to check to makes sure all of the lights were working properly. Won't do that again. You decide. I my son's car developed a shake so I took it in to have it checked. Asked for all four tires to be checked along with the suspension for any issues. They agree to check the balance on all four tires and to perform a courtesy alignment check. Big O calls in a few hours to let me know all four tires have separated and need replaced (even though one of the tires is less than 30 days old). They said every tire has bubbles in them and will not roll without falling over. Since I did not know which the two tires was under warranty from a different tire shop I asked for a quote in case my son needed to buy new tires. When I go to pick the car up the next morning they try to charge me $1,225, telling me all four tires were replaced. I reply I never authorized any tires to be changed. The tech goes and checks with someone then comes back and says that was just the quote, no tires were changed. Next he tries to charge me $199 for an alignment (comes with an unlimited number of alignments for three years). I let him know I did not authorize the alignment, it was just suppose to be a courtesy check. So again he leaves, to talks with someone, comes back and tells me no alignment was performed. Finally he finished up his paperwork and tells me there is no charge. I look at the paperwork and there is no mention of the four tires having separation. So I ask if they will write down what the problems are so when my son takes the car in to his shop they know what the issues are but he said they do not do that. My son takes his car in to the tire shop in Temple he uses. They check the car over and find ONE tire had separated. Total cost to replace, $175. Having just recently moved to Maricopa this was my first trip to Big O Tire. You can be sure it was also my last. read more

My husband arrived at this facility at approximately 7:45 am for ONLY an oil change. Three hours later, he is the only one left not receiving service. People who didn't even had an appointment were serviced and left. The total disregard for customer service is appalling. Of course, everyone will have a different experience, but for us, we will continue our service elsewhere, such as Firestone. Originally, he went to Firestone and they were honest with him stating that they were booked for the entire day. I also had a bad experience with Big O Tires, which is the reason why I didn't want my husband to go there. Big O Tires doesn't have consistent customer service. They need to hire better people. Literally the slowest place I have ever been to. Make an appt at 9am for an oil change and waited 4 hrs for my car to be ready. Kept asking how long it would take to be ready and kept getting told "about an hour", every hour. They shouldnt take appointments if their just going to over look them and follow a first come first serve rule. read more

We can in to fix a flat tire and was told it could not be repaired. They gave us a quote for a replacement tire but it was not in stock. We decided to check out our regular tire store in Chandler. Low and behold......they easily repaired the flat for free. I will never come here again nor recommend this to my coworkers and friends. NOT cool to do this! read more

So I took my vehicle to big o tires multiple times. every time I got my vehicle back, there was a new problem. The first time I got an oil change, they completely forgot about my car and it sat at Big O's for 7 hours. Luckily I got coupons for my next visit. I brought my vehicle up there again because I wanted a free oil change, free a/c check and free tire rotation. I get my car back and while I was driving, it made this awful squeak. So I sprayed lubricant on the bearings and the squeak was gone.. the next day my car didn't even start. I will never take my vehicle to any Big O Tire locations ever again. read more

This store seriously needs someone who can properly answer the phone and treat customers well on a consistent basis. Twice now we have had to deal with Darrell. He is consistent is his mannerism of treating customers poorly. I was waiting on my cars tire to be repaired on the first occasion I met him. He treated every customer while I was there with an attitude of him doing them a favor and then talking poorly of them when they walked out of the shop. This time was enough for me to not return to this location. My wife called to inquire about a tire repair and was talked down to over the phone. It's unfortunate that the store allows this behavior, as we have always purchased from Big O. I took my vehicle to this God forsaken place to get brand new tires on my vehicle. I got there at 7:05AM. I did not get checked in until 7:35AM because they were taking their sweet ass time checking people in and not to mention when I got there it was only one person checking in customers. When i finally got checked in I asked how long it was going to be and the guy said about a couple of hours. I told him that I was going across the street to eat breakfast at IHOP. I came out of IHOP and saw that my car was still parked in the same spot I left it in so I went in and asked why my vehicle was not in the bay yet. The guy who checked me in walks in and said oh you're next after I was angry. needless to say they changed my tires in 30 minutes and I don't even know if it was done right because now they was rushing to hurry up and get it done. So, they probably half ass did the job. Then. on top of that the guy pulled my vehicle out and was speeding in my vehicle and almost hit another car, I was then hotter than fish grease and I asked him why did he park my car wayyyy across the parking lot when I was clearly standing right there. I don't even drive like that in my vehicle. I asked him why he parked it over there and he said I parked it under the tree. I then went inside to pay for the tires and the guy who checked me in also checked me out. He didn't even say he was sorry for the inconvience and not to mention I was an hour late to work where I am a Pharmacist. No customer service at all and then he had the nerve to say have a good day. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE EVER AGAIN. I HATE LIVING IN MARICOPA. The people here are not friendly at all. I am a Louisiana native where we help people and show hospitality and treat you like family. I am considering transferring jobs and moving to another state. I was an unhappy customer and was not treated with good customer service at all. My job is dealing with customers all day and my customer know me by name because I give great customer service. I am so upset that I am in Phoenix replacing a tire that could have been done 5 minutes from my house if not for the incompetence of the people at this Maricopa location. Yesterday I get oil change and I'm told tire needs to be replaced. I find that I have purchased hazard replacement and I as the customer I had to call warner location to get this verified and ask them to call the local store to get approved. At this point I'm cool not upset I am told to come back at 2 and when I get there I am told tire not there yet and ask them to call me when it's in. I have to call back since no one has called and I'm told it is in but when I get there they say it's wrong tire. Now I'm upset. Guy apologizes says it will be there tomorrow afternoon and when I call them today at 4 I am told they can't find it. Now I'm really upset I call corporate offices and that's a joke the girl says I will get a call within 72 hours and ends the call by saying thanks for calling midas. I call Warner location they tell me to come down to there store and I now have a tire. They apologize and tell me that they are going to get tire back from Maricopa location that they sent them. A couple months ago an employee working there forgot to put the oil cap back on causing oil to leak over the engine. Luckily it only started smoking and didn't catch fire. At the Maricopa, AZ Big O I saw a screw in my tire, and noticed the air pressure was a little low. I changed the tire, put on my full size and perfectly functional spare and put the screwed tire in the back. My wife took it in when I was at work, and when they removed the tire realized it had one in the sidewall as well and it would have to be replaced with a new tire. They would have to order one, so bring it back tomorrow. When I get home from work, I notice my spare in the back of the truck... They put the tire with the screw in the sidewall (Remember - these are SO dangerous that they won't take on the liability of attempting to repair) back on my pickup and my wife drove on it, unbeknownst to her at the time. This was a 3.5 hour visit. Day two rolls around and the truck goes back in. This time they are unable to get it to balance, and must order yet another tire and come back tomorrow. This was also a 3-4 hour visit. Back on DAY 3 we go. This time after a couple of hours we have a functioning, new tire. Price on tire was quite high ~$80 more for the tire than what I paid previously, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's little competition in town. 8-10 hours of time to simply get a tire changed and pay too much for it is unbelievable. read more

NEVER, EVER GO TO BIG O TIRES IN TUSTIN, CA!!!! Bought a tire there when my son had a flat. They installed one and sent him on his way. A week later we noticed a 3 inch bubble on the side of the tire. Took it back and they took it off. Had to call them and tell them we don't want another tire from them and to credit my account. They wouldn't do it and tried to blame us for their defective tire. They said we should have purchased a warranty, which no one ever mentioned. My options were to pay another $45 to get a new tire installed or get screwed for the $102 I paid for the first tire. I'm taking this up with American Express to handle. Been waiting for the district manager to call and still have not heard from him/her. Their customer service is horrible and they don't give a damn!!! read more

If I could give a 0 star, I would. We called yesterday and asked how long it would take them to do an oil change, alignment and change the tires and they said 3 hours maxed. We took the car to the shop at 7:55am today and the guy said that it should be done around 11am. We called at 11:30am and they said that they just need to add the oil which takes 30 mins. At 12:15, we went to the shop in hopes that its done. When we got there, they said they needed another hour for the alignment. Its 2:15pm and I called again, now they're saying they need another hour. The reason we asked before we took the car in is because we have plans to drive to California today. If we would've known that it would take over 6 hours now (and counting) to do an oil change, alignment and new tires, we would've taken our car somewhere else. Mind you, the people at the shop are rude too. This is not the first time that we've used this place for our car maintenance needs as we own 5 cars but this is probably the last time until they work on their customer service. Please be honest with your customers with the time and don't say it will be done in 3 hours or that you just need another half an hour if you really need more time than that. Took my car in to see why it was pulling to the right all the time and shimmying at 64 MPH. Arrived before they opened and they got the car on the rack within 30 minutes. But then it took nearly 3 hours for them to go through it and give me an estimate. Instead of just looking at my suspension, the front end of the car and the tires to see what the problem was, they did something called a DNA test which I had not asked for. It includes checking every fluid, the wipers, radiator and battery. There may be other checks but that was everything they told me needed something done to it. To fix the problem it was going to cost me over $1,000. And in the end, if I did everything they suggested from the DNA test it would have been over $1,600.00. Admittedly, they didn't charge me for the test but I didn't request it either and instead of spending what I thought would be about an hour there, it turned in to 3 hours. I decided not to get any work done at this shop. read more

I took my Tahoe there for an alignment and tune up about 2 months ago. When they completed it the service writer told me that I needed all new ball joints and pitman arm and idle arm and upper control arms.. This I knew in advance. They quoted me a ridiculous price to do. it. and for what they did that day the bill was around 900.00 I told them I would look into it as I didnt have the funds at that moment. After I drove it for a few days it was still driving like they never did anything at all to it as far as the alignment. So I took it back to them to look at it. After my tahoe sat there all day long I called them and they said it was completed again. I picked it up and it still seemed like the tahoe was pulling to the left. So a few days later. I took it to them again. It sat there all day in their parking lot and then if I wasn't inconvenienced enough I had to call them to find out they didnt get around to doing anything to it at all and I could pick it up the next day. The next day I picked it up after they said I shouldnt have any issues now with it. I drove it for about a week when I realized I couldnt put it off any longer as far as the parts it needed. So I had a mechanic friend do the job for me and replaced the parts costing around 300.00 give or take and it needed to be aligned again. I took it back there and had them realign the front end and asked if the rims could be balanced. The tahoe sat there all day again and after all day with no phone call to pick it up I called them at 630 pm and they said come down to get it. After driving it again a few days....It was still shifting and pulling to the left and I had to wait for about a week to take it down there for them to look at it due to my schedule. This is where it gets good.... So I brought it in and spoke to a guy named Matt I guess a service writer and I told him it was still driving bad and pulling. and he said they would look at it again. Later that day I picked it up and Matt said to and asked me if I had the parts replaced that needed to be repaired I said yes They are all new parts that they originally told me I needed replaced. And he said to me thats odd the tech who serviced your truck last time never did anything because he thought the parts were not repaired and there was no reason to do an alignment on my truck... So basically... my tahoe sat at their shop for nothing inconveniencing me for yet another day I had to take off from work expecting to get it fixed and not a thing done to it. So I took it back to them a few weeks ago and said its still not driving right and the service writer I spoke to assured me this time it would be fixed with no issues any more... After I picked it up I drove it around town for a few days and it kept making a popping sound every time I turned to the left and I havent had a chance to take it back to them yet again. I have been without my tahoe for about a week now . My mechanic friend came over to look at it and he said the upper A arm was completely loose and the nut was almost ready to fall off. I called the tire shop and asked to speak to the manager of the facility and I got the run around by the guy I talked to telling me the manager is not here he went home on 3 different occasion I got the same answer when I wanted to speak to the manager of the facility. I left my name number and no phone call either in return. You might ask why I have been taking my tahoe back so many times to get poor work done... its because they saw they warranty their work ?? So tomorrow I am taking it back and this time this issue better be done right. I would advise anyone not to go here again... poor service poor work and very poor customer service.. not a good business at all I wouldnt of even given this place 1 star but I had to leave something. If I could give this company a zero review I would. I would not trust them at all! I owned a tire store and had a slow leak and their guys called me to tell me that they could not patch my tire because a nail was in the sidewall. I came home took out my floor jack and they had impacted my lugnuts on so tight that I had to use a breaker bar to get the nuts loose. I then took my can of dawn and sprayed down my tire. The nail is most definitely not in the sidewall or near the sidewall. The picture I have attached that has the red circle indicates where the sidewall of a tire is. I spoke with their manager and they claim it isn't because I am a woman but that it is their policy to not patch any tire in the last treadblock. Even though It could easily be patched and safely. Obviously their idiots don't know what they are doing. Perhaps I should have gotten out and showed them what they don't know. OH yeah by the way i am a WOMAN. If you are a WOMAN especially DO NOT trust these idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am headed to harbor freight to by me a grinder and then the parts house to get some rubber sealant and patches to fix my own damn tire!!! Only issue I really had was that they changed my back tires not my front tires. Or switched the old back to the front and put new ones on the back. Either way, not what I asked for and I would have appreciated a call about the change. My dad and I had to switch them later as i was traveling to another state that day. read more

A few months back I purchased 4 new tires and was told I would get a free oil change. Picked my car up and no oil change. I went back and purchased windshield wipers and PAID for an oil change. That service was completed. I like to do business with the local businesses in Maricopa so when it was time for an oil change I went to Big O Tire and I asked for an oil change and tire rotation. I marked my tires to ensure I would know if they were rotated. Picked my car up and no tire rotation. When it was called to the attention of the attendant I was told they can choose to do the tire rotation or not even if it was requested. This makes me wonder if 2 out of my 3 last visits part of my service was not completed if I can trust the service in the future. read more

This store opened up recently and it was nice to see a large chain store come to Maricopa that provided auto services. That was my first opinion, then I actually went in to have something as simple as an oil change. There $20 oil change coupon with free tire rotation is anything but that. The oil change was $20 but you have to pay an environmental fee on top of that (no big deal, not there fault), they won't rotate the tires unless you bought them at Big-O, even though they refused to rotate the tires they took all 4 off to check the brakes, which they said needed replaced, but they had already been done 2 weeks before. They told me I had a power steering fluid leak which would cost about $500 to fix, so I took the car to the dealership and they tightened a hose for free and the leak was fixed. These guys are definitely the type of people that give mechanics there stereotype. read more

Spent 2.5 hours getting an oil change. Got home only to realize that it was leaking oil. Took it back and waited another 1.5 hours for them to fix it (said it was a gasket and did not charge me). While there on the first visit, they tried to sell me new air filters which I declined. After going home and checking my records, I decided it was probably time. It's an easy job, so I did it myself. Opened up the cabin filter and engine filter only to realize that when they had taken them out to show me how dirty they were, they did not put them back in correctly. So, three mistakes on simple routine maintenance. Shows me that they care little about what they are doing. ----------- Side story: While waiting the second time, two men came in who spoke limited English. The clerk was very rude, demanding they speak English. After a few minutes of struggle, another customer jumped in to help translate. This went on for awhile before they brought out an employee who speaks Spanish. The men were complaining that Big O had damaged their vehicle, which of course, they denied up and down. By the time I left, there was still no resolution. Not worth your time and money!!!! read more

Then he called them to ask when his car is going to be done and has been on hold for over 15 minutes with them. Thankfully we are in walking distance and he walked to get his car without the oil change being done. This has happened before and this will be the last time. After having the idiots at Fletchers forget about my car sitting in their parking lot all day, I took my car to Big O. Initially, it was just for an oil change and wiper blades. Tom called me and said they had a "monsoon special" which was an oil change, wiper blades and air filter. I knew I needed the air filter anyway so I went for it. He also said my cabin air filter was pretty much blocked so I had him replace that as well. He also did a free check of my air conditioning and informed me that my coolant was full, something that Fletchers couldn't tell me after I took it to them for A/C servicing! They claimed they recharged it but couldn't tell me if it was low! Only that they evacuated it and then refilled it. The air still didn't work any better and as it turned out it was due to poor air flow caused by the blocked cabin air filter; something Fletchers never bothered to even check. Also, while at Big O, Tom informed me that my throttle body was pretty "gunked up" and needed to be cleaned. I wasn't surprised as I'd never had it done. Finally, they even rotated the tires; something I didn't even have to ask for. The total bill came to about $200. The work was done very quickly! I had originally told them I would like to pick it up around 2 PM, (I dropped it off before they opened). Tom called me a little after 9 AM to tell me it done! All of it! I couldn't have been happier. The car ran much better and the A/C air flow was insane! I hardly have to turn the fan up past 1/2 now because it blows so hard. They did a great job and that's where I'll be taking my car from now on. read more

A few months ago my husband brought our spare tire there to put on the car and even though it was fine when we inspected it, it magically had a HUGE hole in it when they went to put it on and they wanted to charge us hundreds of dollars for a new one. I truly believe they damage items on purpose to charge you for new ones. I have seen them chip someone's windshield and then claim they did not do it when I saw it with my own two eyes! I was blown away as I was not wanting anything for free but did want to get on with my day. Cudos for great service with an upset guest. Changed from one star to three. Won't get oil changed again but might try the tires when in need. I guess I should expect slow service at a tire shop when asking for an oil change. Don't advertise you do oil changes if it is going to take you an hour and 15 minutes then 45 more minutes for an alignment. I have two cars, my wife's Prius and my Elantra. I had initially taken my wife's Prius in for a oil change, and they forgot to put the oil cap back. This resulted in oil all over my engine block. So they fixed the issue and gave me two free oil changes. I used one on my wife's car, getting a full synthetic oil change, but when I went to use the second they wouldn't honor it. They told me I had to pay extra for the same service. When I asked to see the Manager Mike, which gave me the oils changes, I was told he wasn't there. It was that kind of tone like, he not here anymore so we don't have to do shit for you. People should honor a deal. If you mess up and offer something in place of the error you should honor it. read more
