Zero stars but Yelp does not allow that. But if I could............. I wonder about the service and honesty of this place and perhaps you should too. I had a very bad experience going in for an oil change last week. The entire episode here, start to finish and even after the fact, was highly unpleasant and unprofessional. Service matters. In fact, I will be taking my car to another mechanic to make sure they even did the oil change and that the other items that they said needed to be fixed actually do need to be fixed. Beware of this establishment. 1. I had a, "Welcome to the Neighborhood" free oil change coupon. The person refused at first and then was rude and unhelpful. I get it is free but still.......... You had the chance to, "Wow" me and be my new car place. Opportunity lost. 2. I received a long and expensive list of needed repairs with my car that do not really exist in totality. A few were minor items that were done at another place at over 75 less cost than this place's quote. One issue was not even an issue at all. Also, sadly, the car had some actual issues that were not even addressed nor mentioned. SMDH! 3. They did not check an item I specifically asked them to check at least three times. When I returned the mechanic yelled at me saying, "YES I did do that. It must be another issue." Ummmmmmmm, is there a reason you did not check and diagnose the other issue? I wholly did not appreciate his attitude and the fact he snapped at me and the staff member who asked him about it. Really? How unprofessional and rude is that? Why would I ever return to a place that treats people this way? 4. They did not reset the oil change mechanism freaking me out when the wrench came on only a few days later. Yes, I know this is a minor thing and I You-Tubed how to do it myself but still....... I have never had anyone ever forget to do this during an oil change. Isn't that the mechanics job to do that? 5. Not one masked employee anywhere inside or out and the place was dirty. Sorry, I will not be back unless I break down right in front of the place. Even then, I am so upset right now I would consider paying extra to have it towed than let them have possession of my car again. read more

I like good service. The Millennials can have their online crap. I brought my son's car here a few weeks ago for a tire leak. They were helpful. So, Friday I brought in my Mustang for an oil change. Took a bit longer than they had advised. A HUGE pet peeve of mine. So instead of being jerks about it, Major OWNED the issue and apologized. During the inspection, they mentioned my old tires (which I knew in the back of my mind but actively ignored). So despite less than 5000 miles, I needed a new set. I got a quote from Discount Tire --- very cheap --- but service there can be spotty. I called Major and told him I was pleased. We discussed tire selection. We agreed on a price. I brought the car back, they handled it with care. If I have to pay a bit more for great service, I will ALWAYS make that choice. read more

Took 2 months for them to fix my car when I finally did get it back turned out they reassembled the exhaust incorrectly,spilled oil over the engine block (only to incorrectly suggest I had a leak from a valve cover to upscale services) forgot to connect intake hoses and even lost my engine cover parts. I had made an online 8am appointment for an oil change. I handed over my keys and decided to wait for my car to be done. I could see my parked car from where I was sitting inside. 40 minutes into the appointment I look over to see my car still sitting there waiting to be taken. The entire time I was waiting the front desk guy was getting phone calls, putting them on hold, and never picking them back up (I would be irritated if I was on the other side of the phone). I went back up to the front and asked for an update on when it would be taken back to be worked on. I didn't get an answer and just asked for my keys back. I also didn't receive any sort of apology. What's the point of making an appointment? Wasted an hour of my time that I could have spent working. read more

These guys always go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I have had tire work done there on two occasions, and both times I have left in awe of their customer service, not to mention the quality work done on my cars. I woke up one Sunday morning to discover that my tire pressure light was on. Upon inspection, there was not just a screw in my tire, but the screw still with the washer! I assumed this was going to be the point of no return, so I limped the car over to Big O, which is OPEN ON SUNDAYS! I repeat: They are open on Sundays! I can't underscore how exciting and helpful this is! Not only were they able to save the tire, but - this was where my jaw hit the floor - they did not charge me for the patch! What?! I had never been there before, they had no idea if I would return, but they did the work for free. Awesome! Return I did. A few months later I purchased a used car from a nearby VW dealership (you do the math), who had been sloppy in the installation of new tires. Aside from dealing with unequal tire pressure, the car vibrated like mad at 70 mph, which indicated VW had not bothered to balance the tires. I made an appointment at Big O (who could have gotten me in right then, but I was at work), and they were able to fix me up quickly and cheaply. When I picked the car up, the guy at the register even offered me a coupon that brought my charge from $39.99 down to $18. They also checked the alignment for free (which thankfully was a-ok). Seriously, these guys look out for you on costs. I am delighted to have a tire shop I can trust here in Phoenix. I bounced from shop to shop when I lived in Washington state and had to do the semi-annual process of swapping winter and summer tires, and I encountered a lot of jokers up there, so I really respect a shop I can trust. These guys will get my business again in the future for sure! read more

I had to get my car towed here to get the tire replaced after I got a flat. I really appreciate the work they did, but the customer service was all over the place and chaotic. Every time I called, there was confusion about my car...the status of my car, whether or not it was even there, whether or not they had taken care of me yet. Kind of seems like they don't have a good reporting system in place, or they're not utilizing it if they do. I have a warranty through my hometown Big O tires. When I mentioned that to the staff, they tried to refute the claim...even after I had my records sent over. So I had to argue with them and be stern, which is never fun. They alerted me that my car would be ready for pick up at 5 PM (after having it for two days). I scheduled an Uber over there and was left waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes after I arrived. It kind of seems like they didn't even start working on my car until I got there. Also surprised that it took two days to change a tire... Anyways, I was really happy to have my car back, and once I was physically in the shop, the service was great. But overall it was a chaotic and hectic experience, which had me feeling pretty frustrated. read more

Left this place feeling duped and cheated out of hundreds of dollars, with a car more damaged than before it came in. What started as a "free welcome to the neighborhood oil change" turned into them convincing me I needed my brake fluids flushed (which it had been a while, so I fell for that), but then they alerted me that during the repairs my car battery supposedly died. I was having zero issues with the battery before bringing it into the shop and it had even been replaced within the last year or so. I don't know what happened but I am assuming they left a car door open or a light on or something, so I just ended up purchasing another battery from them for simplicity's sake. However, when I got my car back, I immediately noticed that when I tried to spray windshield wiper fluid, it just poured onto the ground. I realized that they had cut the windshield wiper fluid lines, and so I took my car back so they could fix their mistake. After waiting for 3 hours without it being looked at and coming back the next day and waiting for an additional 5 hours, they finally ruled it as a "bad coincidence" and kindly offered to fix it for an additional $100-200... I guess it is my fault for trusting a tire shop with things under the hood. read more

Within recent months I have taken both my daughters car and my jeep to this location to address mechanical issues. Both diagnostics, that I paid for, were incompletely correct. 1) My daughters vehicle was diagnosed as having an A/C compressor issue that needed replacement at the cost of approximately $1,850. We ended up taking it to another mechanic and they explained that one of the motor mounts was broken and the A/C compressor was absolutely fine. 2) My jeep was diagnosed with having bad shocks (only a year old with no visible leakage or seals compromised), bad steering stabilizer, bad upper and lower control arms. My quote started at approximately $2,200. I went to another shop to get it looked over and it turned out that the ball joints were bad, front drive shaft was in need of replacement. All other components were perfectly fine. Both vehicles had issues that could have potentially cause more extensive damage and possible harm to my daughter and myself. Rule of thumb, don't take your vehicle to a tire shop to have mechanical work done on it. I will absolutely not return to this location or company for any type of services. read more

Worst company ever!!! Bough 4 new tires 2 weeks ago with warranty and within the first week one blew in the freeway and a second was just flat. Took car in an they charged me $36 to replace them. Even though they stated that the one that blew was do to lumps on the inside and the second one was because of a faulty valve stem. Why do i need to pay anything, when they gave me faulty tires. I didn't hit anything, it wasn't a nail or anything. Still they insisted that I had to pay. What's the point of the stupid warranty. Not that it matters, cause the its a matter of them placing faulty old looking tires. read more

Very dissatisfied with this establishment. I thought this was my new place to have my car serviced but I will be looking for another place. Had my car for over 2 hours and didn't even rotate my tires with my $109 oil change. It wasn't the service part but the way the person spoke to me when I called about my tires not being rotated. Tire light came on while out and about with my littles. Couldn't find a tire pressure gage at any gas station or service center that worked. After trying two other big o tires that were not open this one came through!! Pulled up to the service guys and yelled out my window praying they could help. With no hesitation, they waived me in and checked all my tires (all severely low) and we were on our way. Today was quite the day. I had a blow out on the freeway and after I had my spare put on, I had to find a place to get a new tire as I was heading out of Phoenix to get to a family engagement out of town. I went to a Tire shop and they couldn't get me in due to too many appointments today. So I found Big O on 7th St. and Camelback. Im glad I did. I spoke with Luke on the phone and he told me my situation would be no problem. When I arrived I spoke to Robert and Luke and they treated me very well. They got me settled and a new tire put on very quickly. Very professional and attentive to the customer. I was in and out in about 30 to 45 minutes and I was on the road. Thank you Robert and Luke. Scheduled an appointment 3 days in advance. The technician entered the appointment wrong so when I showed up, I was in the system incorrectly making me a walk in appointment. My vehicle was dropped off for a normal oil change and service at 12:30pm and is still not ready as I wait at 4:15pm. No rush to correct the scheduling issue or find time to fit my vehicle in within 4 hours... Yet again I am still screwed from big o tires. I came to Costco to get new tires on my vehicle and there was no wheel lock to be found. The wheel lock was never placed back after rotating my tires and now I have to travel all the way back to try and see if they have a match or can replace it for me. I made a Yelp account just to leave this review because I'm so thankful for Major helping me. Just to preface this, I'm an female in my early 20s who tries to educate herself on car stuff, but going to the mechanic always gives me anxiety because I think I'm going to be taken advantage of. That is not how I felt at all coming here. Major walked me through everything going on with my car, actually showed me on my car, and was very straightforward about what I needed and what I could live without for a period of time. I came in on a Sunday (also so thankful they're open on Sundays since I work during the week) to get a front end suspension evaluation. Turns out I needed new control arms, axles, tires, the whole shebang. I know I actually did need them too because I had someone recommend I get new arms a few months ago so I knew that was a legit repair. Major got it done that same day!!! And threw in some deals for me which was so amazing because I was not financially expecting the work I needed done. Major really helped me out and did a terrific job and I will 100% bring my business back to this Big O. Received confirmation from this location of my appointment, when I get in they say they don't have the tires and can't get them, the guy could care less and did nothing to try and even fix their mistake. We have used this Big O for the past 4 years without issue. However, we had a bad experience when we took our car in last week to have the left front tire replaced and the right rear tire looked at for a slow leak. After an hour, the service advisor called to say both needed replacing, and that it would be a few hours. We did not hear from them for 4 hours, and they were closing at 6pm. We called, were put on hold indefinitely, so got in the car to go to the store. After 8 minutes on hold, we were told that our car was almost ready and to head over. Had we not called, they would have closed before we could pick up the car. When we were checking out, the advisor said that they put both new tires on the back. Since we have different sized tires on the front and back, I asked why they would do that. He had the car checked, and admitted that they ordered 2 of the front tire instead of 1 of each size. So, they had to now put the new front tire on the front and put the old back tire back on the back. I don't understand how a tire store could get this so wrong, by not checking the tire sizes before they were ordered, and by now inconveniencing us for not replacing the back tire. I am not sure that we will use this tire store going forward. read more

when think that your taking your vehicle to have your brakes and rotors looked at. And, the technic doesn't do his job correctly. I went in to have my front brakes pads n rotors looked at. They didn't bother recommending me to replace my front rotors. Instead they replaced my front brake pads., and charged me a labor fee of $165 for 15 minutes brake pads replacement. And, when I left the shop my brakes were grinding against the rotors that needed to be replaced. So all n all... they weren't look'ing out for customer only on the money aspects of the job. read more

Had a previous poor experience at another Big O Tires. Came to this one and Tommy went above and beyond for me. They completed the full inspection and advised that I could need four née tires and a alignment. Showed me how to qualify for financing and told me to come back the next day. This location is super busy, but they got everything taken care of the next day with only about 3 hours of wait time. Let me borrow a charger and had cold waters available while I waited. Overall pretty satisfied with the customer service portion. Alignment is still off and now AC does not work now, so I will be back, but pretty satisfied with the service I received. read more
