Just purchased a set of 4 tires for my wife's car and was very impressed with the service I received from Big O on Happy Valley. Appt was at 11:00 and by 11:30 they called car was ready. Tires and 4 wheel alignment. The tires I ordered they did not have in stock so we discussed and went with a set of the Big O brand tires they had and they are super tires and made a big difference in the ride and road noise in our car. I have spent thousands of dollars here between my business fleet and personal vehicles in the form of sets of tires, oil changes and minor repairs. I also live in a nearby neighborhood. I don't do a lot of reviewing on Yelp even when I've had a bad experience. As a business owner, I know that some employees can be "bad actors" and be acting independently. But, in this case its time for the owners of this business to step in and address the issues with their manager, Tyler. If they don't step in then they are part of the problem and its a top down culture issue. In a nutshell, Tyler is not a people person and is not someone they should have in the front of the store. He appears to get "hot under the collar" quickly and has a prideful, unfriendly attitude. I would encourage the business owners to get involved before their reputation is ruined entirely around the Norterra area. I've been meaning to put this review up for a while to thank Big O Tires and Rob for a job well done. My experiences here have been more like Hillary's and not Tanya's. Rob is the man! A complete professional, very friendly and personable and makes you feel like your car is in good hands (which it is!). Rob will make sure you are completely taken care of and make your car "right as rain". My girlfriend and I brought in our cars before a cross country road trip to get a good amount of work done. Big O was quick and we have no complaints about the quality of their work. On September 15 I took my car 19 Ave &Happy Valley for oil change, tire rotation and a bad tire sensor. As I was waiting Robert Warner came to the waiting room and told me that they can't rotate my tires cause the the guy that did my rear brakes cross threaded the lug nut and I should take it back and have him fix it. I told him that the last person that took the tire off was them cause last oil change they rotated the tires. He looked in the computer and told me they never rotated my tires(ever) he gave me price of $94 to replace the lug nut. Bottom line is it was their fault they would only replace it if I paid for it. I have proof that the tires were rotated there. My rear brakes were replaced in2021, had few oil changes and tires rotated each time since than by them. There was lot more said and he told me to take my business elsewhere. Do not recommend them cause they will try to rip you off especially if you are women. read more

Gentleman on the phone told me after he went to check that if I came down now I would be next up. Drove the 16 minutes over to the store walked in and the gentle man sitting at the end of the counter with a beard (wish I would have gotten his name) told me it would be a 2 hour wait for an oil change. I tiled him I had just called and was told that if I came down I would be next up. He then replied ""I highly doubt that's what he told you". I couldn't believe it. He basically said to me "I think your lying to me". He then asked if I wanted to get an oil change. I told him thank you! I will find another business to take my cars to for service. Went in twice and was unable to get oil change both times. I originally went here because I got a flat tire on one of my tires. I walked in and said I need my tire replaced (decided to just go ahead and get all 4 replaced) and said I'd like an oil change while I was there. They said they didn't have time for the oil change but that they'd take care of the tires which they did. No problems with the tires, went with Big O Tires store brand and not a single problem with the tires. They gave me a voucher for the free oil change and told me to come back another day. I came in about 2 or 3 days later and they said they'd be happy to perform the oil check. There weren't very many cars that day I figured it would take about an hour, maybe hour and a half at the most. Keep in mind they NEVER told me there was even a wait. An hour rolled by. Then another hour. Then another hour. 3 hours later I ask about the status of my oil change (the only thing I was there to do that day) and they said my car wasn't even in the auto shop yet, it was still in the parking lot where I had parked it. 3 hours and they haven't even BEGUN the service. While I was waiting they also had 2 young men working behind the counter at this Big O Tires in Happy Valley snickering and laughing about another customer who was frustrated and was threatening to take his business elsewhere. This customer from India had an accent and the employees working there were mocking him behind his back in his accent which I found very offensive and disrespectful to their customers. I still don't have my oil change, they're mocking their own customers in a racist fashion, I would stay away from this Big O Tires at 1975 W Happy Valley Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85085. I have never had a worse experience with an auto shop. I just want to say that I have gone to other 'Big O Tire' locations and they are usually very respectful and their staff very helpful. I went in the morning and they told me it would be ready at 4. When I came back at 430 my car was never looked and I asked for my keys. They didn't care at all. Tyler is great! Brought in my truck, and Tyler had Nick and Alex get my truck in and out within a day and runs perfectly now! Other tire shops don't always balance tires correctly and Alex, Tyler, & Nick all got their hands dirty balancing my used tires just right. We love Big O Tires- and specifically this location. There have been numerous times where we've had tire leaks that need patched, and this place does them for free! They also do other services by appointment, but you can walk in for tire patching. I will say that you have to plan to wait a while. You probably won't get out of here in under an hour-maybe even 2. The experience may be different if you are a paying customer, but that's been my experience when I get my tires fixed. The only thing that I noticed this last time we went in is that they have toys for little kids. Since I had my niece with me and she very clearly was not excited about being in a tiny place, I went to go pull out the toys. They are disgusting haha. By no means do I expect them to provide toys for kids, but these ones definitely need thrown out. They are very patient with having kids in the building, but make sure you bring your own entertainment!! We will continue to come here. read more

I am new to the area and was hesitant to have someone new work on my vehicle. Went through the Yelp reviews for about 20-30 places before deciding on Big O Tires. I've always had good luck with Big O from my home town, so I decided to give them a shot. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered early bird oil changes and for a disabled person on a small budget, this was was a huge plus. I cannot afford to buy a new vehicle, so I try and take the best care of this one (18years old). The staff was friendly, coffee was available (another huge plus). The oil change was performed in the time estimated and they let me know my shocks are starting to leak (again the truck is 18 years old, so the fact that the original shocks lasted this long is amazing). Recently purchased 4 new tires - Nitrogen in tires is a joke and an insult when they charge for $27.96 to replace the 21% of air that is not nitrogen. When I asked for it to be taken off, I was told it's part of the installation package, but listed as a separate cost. Then another $25.68 for "shop supplies"? How much do wheel weights cost? The TPMS light went off in our rental car on a Sunday. Luckily, this Big O Tires location was open and had a sign saying free air checks. We pulled up and asked where to park for the air check. A red haired gentleman told us he would help us. After he checked our tires, he let us know there was a screw in the tread. He suggested we go inside to speak with the managers because he thought they would be able to fix it for us. Not only did they stop their other work to get us back up and running, they drove the car next door where we were waiting while it was raining no less. And they did this all for free!!!!! My first impression with the manager and Garrett were of honesty and seemed to be very trustworthy .. My car was completely serviced by Sean who is a veteran employee here and actually helped open this particular location .. After showing them a very high estimate proposal provided me as a courtesy check-up from another service center, Garrett actually printed the entire maintenance schedule from my model/ year to prove to me that I was not due for most of the items listed on prior estimate received from a competitor. read more

wow. been coming in here since they built and opened the store. sensors in my tires keep going off every four months. brought it in today for an oil change and to fix the sensors again. pick up the car and the sensor light is still on. guy tells me the tires were low and I need to drive it for it to reset. seriously? I worked in tire business for thirty years and know this is not true. you did not do the job I came in to have done. I doubt you even lookEd at the tires cause I checked the air when I dropped it off and the tires were not low. how dishonest and you have lost my business forever. Also did not get a sticker showing the oil change miles. Now I wonder if they even did that. update: brought car in to discount after a week of the light staying on. Within five minutes they told me we had a faulty sensor on the back left tire. Hmmmm, why did big O charge me to review my tires and did not find The faulty sensor?
