I was on my way to San Diego and unfortunately had a flat tire on the freeway. Big O Tires was so helpful from the moment I arrived. Usually my boyfriend takes care of it for me, but I was alone and honestly scared. I went to a few tire shops and none had my tires, but luckily Big O Tires had my tires in stock and the service was unbelievably fast. I've had five flats over the past two years, and this was by far the fastest and most efficient service I've experienced. Thanks to Chris, who made sure I was well taken care of the entire time. Would be ZERO stars if I could. Took an entire day to see if I still felt the same before writing this and I do. I received the worst customer service Ive ever had since moving to South County. MARK the front desk man with a messed up leg and scooter was very very rude with my entire encounter with that shop. I had made an appointment for the morning. I arrive, Mark is very rude with a "what are you bugging me for" attitude. Already off to a bad start, so I explained I have an appointment scheduled and he's like no you don't! Very rude to me I'm like here is my print out of what I'm talking about. Show him the print out he then tells me my appointment was cancelled. I said no one informed me of this. He then stated an email was sent (very snarky). So while sitting there I start going through my emails. Sure enough there's an email with my cancelled appointment. Now here's my problem. On the email from Big O Tires, it says my appointment has been cancelled and an associate will reach out to me with a phone call. He blatantly lies to my face saying he called me. So of course, I go through my phone records right there to prove no call was ever made. That just upset him said HE MADE THE CALL HIMSELF. I read off the numbers of my missed calls and not one was the shops number or one he would call from. Said it would take HOURS to get an oil change now. Told him that wasn't going to work as I made this appointment to save time and I have a toddler I would have to walk around for hours??? No thanks! I simply asked for my appointment paper back and HE THREW IT AT ME! Well I've never!!!! Then arguing with me about that as I'm just trying to walk out. Very argumentative person for being in the front desk position. Maybe it was the scooter making him mad. I've been going to Big O Tires for YEARS. By far worst experience I've ever had. I will not let this one person or shop location deter me from giving them business. I will simply leave a review with my experience and hope for better service at the next one. Never ever go to big o tires!!! They changed my oil, and over filled it and blew my motor !! I had to surrender my car which damaged my credit cuz I didn't have 10,00 dollars to fix the engine that they damaged. AND, on top of that, I bought four new tires from them which was a waste due to my vehicle being busted, and I still had to pay them off! Worst company ever. read more

I call because I want a patch put on my tire because of a screw. Sales guy goes round and round with me about tire being wrong load range. I have a leaking tire. I am at a tire store. Big O tire cant help unsafe to have wrong load range. I leave and tire is now lower wont even offer to air it up I went to Hollies across the street and got tire patched Americas tire played same game I dont think to many people buy new tires when the tire with leak is pretty new. Headed from San Diego to Los Angeles, a warning light came on that my tire pressure was very low and not to exceed 80 MPH. Stopped at Big O Tires in San Clemente and they were fast and efficient. They tested the tires and shared that my tire pressure was normal and reset my car settings which removed the alert. I spent 10 minutes there and was then on my way. Great service..... read more

I had a terrible experience with the store manager, Chris. (Short guy, lots of tattoos.) All I gotta say is don't drop the f bomb out of frustration because he will turn it around and yell it right back into your face, and then some, without any remorse. I'm sure if I was a 6'3" 250 pound male he never would of dared but he was clearly triggered and showed zero professional behavior. That being said everyone else was very professional and helpful. Fixed my tire quickly and was reasonably priced. Would use them again. They were very responsive and called to let me know when it was done.

There's one nice employee, but every other time I came by here to get my tires rotated I got a rude response as if I'm in huge inconvenience to them. Now they're telling me that the back tires are great the front tires are worn too much can't rotate them when I finally have time to get it done and leave my car here. Not only that, they convinced me to do a transmission fluid flush, and now my reverse doesn't work. Obviously they're going to say there was something wrong. I had my transmission fluid flushed 30,000 miles previously with no problem at a transmission place. I'll get nothing but bad experiences at Big o. To their defense, they do have good sales and it could be coincidence, but not making it friendly to have your tires rotated ends up costing you in the long run read more

I am driving a Tesla Model X, the first time I went to Big O with a flat tire, the young man told me the inside of the tire is too thin to fix, the only thing I can do is to replace the tire, back then the car is only one year old, and I was stupid enough to follow his advice. This year I went to Big O again, with a flat tire, the same young man touched the tire with his finger and told me the same thing, the inside is too thin to fix, I should replace the tire. I then drove to another store in Laguna Niguel, the flat tire was fixed there at no charge. So, Big O tire, maybe you don't know what you are doing, maybe your are dishonest with your customer, I don't wanna guess, I just know I won't go to this store for my life time, neither will I recommend it to any one I know. read more

So I called this morning got put on hold for about 5 min which I guess isn't long, plus it's early and I'm sure there still setting up shop. But then he gets on the line and has this sleepy unmotivated voice. Sounds like he's not ready to sell anything let alone make the company money. im a new customer called them for a simple oil change and i got a rude guy mark right off the bat. i could tell he was so angry and it was scary. i told him what my car took for the oil as per the manufacturer and dealer trying to get him to calm down. he yelled at me saying i dont know that i think its a full synthetic. after yelling at me some more he comes back with yes its a blend. with no apology. never a kind word came from him and talking down to me the whole time. it seemed like he was jacked up on something. i said finally please stop yelling at me. where is the courteous service and respect to customers. acting like that. finally i said i cant talk with you like this please get me the manager. chris, was even worse he just yelled at me never listened to me or cared how i was being treated. then he says go somewhere else. i knew that was coming. they want to demean and abuse customers and me being a woman made it that much easier for him. this is the worst experience i have ever had and its shocking. they lost all concept of kindness these two men and they have no business being in customer service. read more

Best location, best service, best hours of any shop around. It's clean, friendly and they have coffee. I went local to Big O after a few years of America's Tire off Avery Pkwy in MV. Won't go there anymore because they simply will not honor their own tire damage waiver. After they took our Audi A4 in back, pulled the tire off the car, they informed me they could not repair the nail puncture. The tire was too worn. Since it was AWD the car would need 4 new tires. Ironically no one knew what the guidelines were for tread depth until I called their Corp office. That's not human error, that's bad karma I had to do his job for him. It's good business to err on the side of safety for tire repairs. It's disappointing to be told a flat isn't repairable, but America's Tire claimed ignorance. That's unforgivable, especially since they went AGAINST their own tire repair guidelines in failing to repair the tire that was safe to repair. I'm all for safety, especially when it's my family's. They guy behind the counter did not do a service recovery and I left feeling bummed they trashed my loyalty of almost ten years. Call it fate, but it led me over to Big O and I'm so grateful for my first visit being unflipping believable here. They ordered an ultra high performance tire for me, it didn't fit the rim and they said no worry, you owe nothing. Eventually I had an online forum match a 225/25/17 tire to my 17x8.5" rim of my 90 Corrado g60. Now, they service that car, our 2.7t Audi allroad, Yukon Denali XL and VW Conv Beetle. Yea, I bring these guys pizza or burgers every chance I get. It's the least I can do for making every visit a service recovery from America's Tire off Avery. read more

Nov 25, 2015 I was on my way from San Diego to LA and I ended up with a HUGE bolt in my tire. Got of the 5 and eventually ended up here. It was about 3pm and I was very worried about getting it fixed before businesses closed for Thanksgiving; suffice to say I was very stressed. I spoke to Matt and he was INCREDIBLY helpful! I knew my back tires were ready to be changed, and he confirmed there was no way a successful fix was possible - I needed new tire(s). When he found out I had bought and warrantied my tires at Discount Tire he proved that customer service was #1 at this store. He told me there was an American Tire (parent of same company) about 4 miles away and help me decide the best way to drive there, knowing my tire could blow out completely at any time. He gave up a clear sale of a tire and did was was best for me and my situation. If you live in the area, or had trouble like I did in the area, I HIGHLY recommend you come here. Wish I could leave zero stars. We got a flat on a Sunday on 5 North. after the drama of changing the tire we went to Big O to get it repaired (open on a Sunday, which seems like a great start). The guy claimed the tire was too worn to repair. My husband has a brand new truck with only 30K miles on it. The tire wasn't worn, he just thought we looked desperate enough to buy a new one.
