Wish I could leave zero stars. We got a flat on a Sunday on 5 North. after the drama of changing the tire we went to Big O to get it repaired (open on a Sunday, which seems like a great start). The guy claimed the tire was too worn to repair. My husband has a brand new truck with only 30K miles on it. The tire wasn't worn, he just thought we looked desperate enough to buy a new one. We went up the road to Just Tires and they fixed it, no problem. Thumbs down. read more

??? Called for a appointment for a simple oil change (and asked for a tire rotation). I asked for the price. I got quoted 29,95$. Seems fair enough. So I went to the shop this morning ... when I got here this morning the price was now 59,95$??? I told the person I was greeted by why the price was changed... he was kinda rude and told me "he couldn't do the cheap one , because with my car (Nissan Sentra 2014) it HAS to be the more expensive one". I never leave poor reviews for companies, ever. This warrants one and might explain why all of their techs minus one quit this location today. First let me say Ryan Long the assistant manager is amazing. Always incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding. I won't speak poorly of anyone in particular. Not my style. I got an alignment on my van from them two months ago (with the six month warranty) and tires mounted as well. Then I got a BODY lift, (which doesn't affect anything and the alignment stays stock as should my 6 month warranty be allowed for to re-tune/adjust if necessary after moving to the mtns) as opposed to a suspension lift which affects everything. I brought it to their attention because I'm an honest person and am in town for a few days. They refused to do it, STOCK! Now I could go to another Big O and not tell them anything and they'd do it stock as the alignment with a two inch body (NOT suspension) lift calls for. But it's also not my style to deal with any company that can't warranty their work. I refuse to go to Big O Tires at any location in the future. This isn't the American way, though it sure seems to be lately. read more

All of my cars go there for tires and oil changes usually they have had the best prices on tires but I still shop around before going there just making sure I'm getting the best deal possible for a comparable tire. read more

I left my tire there at 10am and they told me they would call me when it was ready so I could go back and they could install the tire on my car. I got a text at 2pm so I go over right away I live like 5min away they have me sit and wait. He asked for my key about 20 min after I arrived I give it to them and I was there for About an hour and no one told me my car was ready until one of the guys come up to me laughing and tells me my car has been ready for a while that I had to go pay! I thought it was a good time to stop for a tire rotation when I saw all the service bays were empty and 4-5 guys were standing around. I should've taken it as a bad sign. My first surprise came when the attendant told me I'd have to leave my van and he'd call when they were done. I accepted it. When I asked if he was aware that sprinter vans shouldn't be lifted from the differential he scoffed and gave me attitude. He said he'd be charging extra for the additional labor to use hand jacks. My initial thought was with 4-5 guys standing around there is no opportunity cost, but I accepted it. Then I said I wanted my full spare in the rotation, and he said that would be extra labor cost for that as well. I pointed out that my spare was mounted on my rear door and since I had to unlock it, I'd just put it on the ground near the van. He said there's still extra labor. When I inquired about the additional cost and where the extra labor comes from when 4 wheels get removed and 4 wheels get mounted, he scoffed again. In the end I didn't feel at all comfortable with them working on my vehicle, so I left. I went across the street to Holley's. They were shorthanded but I still got great service, no attitude, and they didn't tack on any extra charges. Do yourself a favor and go to Holley's across the street instead. read more

Went to get some new Michelin pilot sport cups 2 very professional and efficient they do great work here. I have plenty tire shops closer to home but nothing as good as here totally worth the drive and totally recommend this tire shop. George is great to work with and very knowledgeable!!!! read more

Woke up to a flat tire and (while waiting for the tow truck) I called Big O tires early in the morning since my husband had purchased 2 set of tires from them a while back! Since my husband was deployed I didn't know if we had purchased the front or back 2 tires from big o tires! I recall my husband telling me they patched for free under warranty for purchasing tires From them! I asked the guy over the phone if I can read him my vin # and he said he could tell me if my front tires where purchased there! BUT After reading him the Vin # , my vehicle came up but HE wouldn't tell me over the phone if it was the rear tires or front! that I would have to take it in person! I finally got my car to them and the same guy that picked up the phone immediately took my keys and information and I waited! I had also recently purchased back tires from a different place in MV! when I got my vehicle he was saying for sure it was the back tires that I purchased from them just by LOOKING at them bc they looked and were brand new! (Even though it was my front tire that was flat) I said of course the back ones are new bc I just bought them 2 weeks AGO... NOT FROM U GUYS! I just needed to know if the front tires/ front flat was the tires I still had from when my husband purchased a while back so I can pay OR NOT PAY! I completely fell he didn't even take the time to look in the system and was being taken advantage of for being a female! when I got upset and told him the back ones weren't from them he gave me an invoice of $0 but originally he was trying to charge me! I still don't know if my front tires that are still in my vehicle are front Big o tires or Not! Yet after getting upset I walked out with a free tire patch! Since moving to the area I have gone to Big O Tires for various needs for my Honda. Today I was helped by Mikey and I somehow left feeling better and happier! How often does that happen (when you get work done on your car) - not often!! Haha My experience today just further proved how great this shop is. The service is fine, but today when I came in the manager and assistant manager weren't following the mask policy. The manager had his mask off while on the phone. When I picked up my car, an unmasked customer was in the store talking to the assistant manager who was also unmasked. Also, the pens weren't sanitized. I was from out of town, drove up and although Brandon was busy with another patron he STILL managed to acknowledge me! He asked me what can he help me with, I told him I believe I have a bad valve stem, I checked my tire, found nothing yet keep loosing air? He said right away that he would check it out after he is finished with this customer. He smiled mentioned they have a nice room to wait in, a TV, & cold water if I'd like to have some. I am elderly, when was the last time I've seen this kind of customer service? Whoa so long ago! (wow was I taken in by his professionalism). Not too long after Brandon comes back to say I'm good, His helper mechanic was a big guy, smiled & soft spoken too, both were nice gentlemen. Brandon told me it took him all of about 4minutes, & went way beyond that by letting me slide w/o charging me a dime! I said to him young man everybody's time is worth something & handed him a $20, he said he won't accept it. What could I say, what a guy! Look everyone, work is work, would you have done the same! (I think not!) 1. First of all there was no need to win a stranger over 2. I was from out of town, by that I may never be a steady customer 3. I was treated as if i was a regular at his establishment 4. I know for a fact at the end of a day people are very hot/tired especially in that profession 5. Big banners on the Big-O website advertising a $55 oil change special - except Big-O San Clemente does not honor the special and charges $65 - banking that most people don't want to be bothered shopping around. I have always had the absolute best customer service at big O tires. Mike is incredibly concerned with making sure that everything is working perfectly and he goes out of his way to give the best customer service in town. I have used many of their services, from oil changes to alignment to other repairs on my BMW and they have been honest, they care and it's the best service I have found anywhere read more

They only get one star because the first person I spoke to was very nice. I asked if I could purchase their nitrogen plan since one of my tires was low. The gentleman told me that he would top me off since I already had nitrogen in my tires. He asked someone to too my tires off and after he finished, the guy (Steve, I believe was his name) was outwardly rude saying that I can't just go anywhere and ask them to fill up my tires with nitrogen. When I told him that I had asked about buying the plan, and the gentleman offered it as a courtesy, he proceeded to talk over me and to be very rude. He must be a very miserable person to be outwardly rude to someone who is 8 months pregnant and who is TRYING TO BUY THE STUPID NITROGEN AIR PACKAGE. These guys are great! They have excellent service! They got me in and out of there in a timely manner with no hassle!! I am always anxious going into automotive places, as they always seem to try to hassle me and try to get me to replace things that dont need replacing. However, when i pulled in and was approached by Matt, that feeling immediately went away. During my experience there, i never felt like they were trying to juke me and take my money. I was bringing my new car here for over a year for tires, oil changes, etc. and they are very friendly and helpful. However, I recently moved and took my car to Jiffy Lube and they informed me that the filters in my car had never been changed, and that my car was missing a very important cabin filter. Big O never even noticed it was missing... What else did they miss? Aslo make sure if you get the alignment package they honor it for the full time period. read more

I got a flat right across the street from this place. Luckily Stewart was able to match the prices at Westcoast Tires, so I didnt have to drive all the way down to San Juan Capistrano with a flat. They did a great job (as far as I can tell) were very friendly and answered all of my questions( I had lots). My only complaint : when I went to pay, the bill was $75 more than I had been quoted. When I mentioned this, they gave an explanation that sounded a little shady and then took it off the bill. So pay attention ladies! read more

They are SHADY LIARS and I've met some pretty shady mechanics. Went last week to get my tires refilled with nitrogen, they told me that they were too busy to pull guys of the cars to deal with me. Ok it's whatever I guess. So I come back the following Monday to get it done and the red shirt (Chris) says to me that I had to repay the $32 to get them done after the last manager said that after I paid that fee it was free for the life of the tires. He kept repeating that I have to have bought tires through them to get it done and then offered for me to buy tires to get them filled. You're funny and really petty too. Loser. Making an appointment with these guys is worthless. I made two this past week and both times when I showed up ON TIME they were just tooooooo busy. The bays were full with WALK IN CUSTOMERS. I have bought tires, rotation, balance and considered myself a good customer. They don't look at me that way. Have probably bought 13-14 tires here. They started pushing substandard tires that began failing after a few thousand miles. So I kept buying replacements until I realized what was happening. They over torqued the lugs on one of the wheels and tire failed. When I had to change to a temp tire, it almost fell off because the lugs were stripped. We moved on to a trustworthy place and our tire problems ended. Beware of this place. read more
