Upon getting my car fixed, the owner whom name is David mentioned that I needed extra work done other than my timing chain 1.water pump 2.timing belt 3.camshast sensors 4.gasket position sensor 5.oil change and more totaling $1,600 which was money I didn't really have but needed my car for transportation to get to work. My car was in the shop for three days which was an huge inconvenience for me when they told me it will only take one day for my car to be finished. I had to take the bus two hours away from my job, and I couldn't get around to the places I needed to go. When I picked my car up on December 17th,2019 (Tuesday) my check engine light came on same day I picked up the car and my car was smoking. Took my car back to the shop December 17th , David mentioned their was nothing wrong with my car. My car has been shaking sounding like it is going to break down. I wasted 1,600 dollars at this car shop for my car to still have the same problem , it is very frustrating that I trusted this shop with my car and my hard earned money.

They diagnosed the problem right away, free of charge, and recommended the repair at a very reasonable price. They fixed it right the first time, and my Tesla now drives and feels like new again. What really impressed me was the customer service. They also performed an alignment and even gave my car a nice detail before handing it back to me. It's those extra touches that show they actually care about their customers and take pride in their work. A special thanks to Crisne for keeping me updated throughout the entire repair process; Alfonso, their Tesla expert, for making sure my car got the best parts and was repaired correctly; and my man Daniel, who went above and beyond to take care of me. Carros Baratos was amazing. One of my delivery truck…read moretransmission blowed and i needed a replacement FAST. Visited several dealers around OC and they all looked and acted like crooks. Ended up at Carros at 5pm and they had a nice Ram van with low miles for a good price. I explained i needed the van for the next morning, and i'll be back around 10am with the cashier check. When i arrived the salesman had ALL the paperwork already prepared in my name, and in 15 minutes i was ok the road and the van ready to take it's delivery route. Thanks SO much to a very good team. This shop caused multiple areas of damage to my car and I would not return…read more The damage was never disclosed to me, not when the work was completed, not when I picked up my car, and not when I paid for the repaint job. I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience. I put my trust in this shop to restore my car's appearance, but instead I'm forced to deal with additional damages they caused.
