My husband took his truck for an oil change and to fix a tire. We know they are super busy at that location so we made an appointment for 5 pm and dropped the truck off for pick up the next day. The next day....no call. My husband called and spoke to someone in the morning to see approximately what time the truck would be ready. They said they would call him right back with a time. No call back.....so he called back at 12 and that is when they told him they had not gotten to his truck because the battery was dead and they couldn't start it. I know a battery can die pretty quickly, but there was no previous indication that the battery was starting to die, so that seemed a little suspect. Didn't get the car until 4 pm. Just want to be communicated to when we are paying for a service. We understand places get busy, but don't take the work if you can't handle the workload. I believe the reason they gave him for being so far behind is that they had several call out, which is understandable, but communicate potential delays with your customers up front and it will reduce the frustrations later. read more

I received the best service I've ever had at a garage today at Big O. This morning on my way to work, my tire started losing pressure quickly. I pulled into Big O, as it was the closest shop on my way to work. They weren't even technically open yet, but they saw me anyway. The man at the front desk said, "You look like you're in a hurry," and took my car in before even asking me for my information so they could work on it with no delay. In just about a half hour, they had repaired the tire and checked my other tires. Then the shocker: they didn't charge me a dime! They just said, "Come see us when you have a real problem." But you wouldn't know that by their welcoming response. Very friendly and inviting staff with complete desire to be of help. Took car into check tire. I've been here for two hours now, my car has not moved out the stall that I parked it in, People are in the back who don't even work here just walking in back, I was told my car was going to be next but yet three cars have pulled in and none of them were mine. I would just like to say that Big o tire just gained a loyal customer! David Guzik always takes great care of me every time I'm in need but tonight they definitely went beyond to help me out! My battery light went on around 630 pm and I called and spoke with Angelo Gastelum and he advised me to bring it in. Steve Flores advised me that it was the alternator and that it would take about 2 hours since they have to order parts. They stayed after closing time to fix my car so that I could go home with my daughter. I can't thank them enough for their kindness. The staff lie, they also don't really care about what you have to say or the issue. It's simple, sorry either accept it and move on or bye. I called on 2/13 and was told due to the special buy 2 for 2 it was walk in only so he could not due an appointment for me on 2/14. Was told they open at 9 and to be there by 8:15a. If I did and was the first I'd be the first one. Well I planned around this and was there before 8am. Waiting and was the first one. Once I got in the dude tells me that they are down 4 people and so I asked since I'm the first one shouldn't take long. He told me there are online appointments. I'm like wait what. I explain everything. Nothing he literally showed no sign that he even cared, just hey you were told this. Sorry, nothing I can do. How about honor what was told. I was first, so service me first. Don't tell me I'm going to have to wait hours for something that take maybe 1.5 hours and that's if you are not moving in a brisk pace. I may not do it myself, but doesn't me I don't know how.... Look, it's hard to find car guys you trust, so when I finally find one I'm going to hold on to it. I've had pretty bad experiences with the Big O in Chandler, so I was skeptical. I will go out of my way for this location. I think the manager's name is Dave? but this guy rocks. They've bounced him around at several locations in the valley to "fix" their stores. He's awesome. I always get great, trust-worthy service from this guy. He always gives me some kind of deal, and gives it to me straight. Oh, and let's talk about pricing. I drive a Mazda 3 that takes synthetic oil. Usually these oil changes are about $80.00 at most places, but at Big O, they're like $60 plus they rotate your tires and align them. I'll be coming back over and over. Great job guys, keep it up. read more

Do not go to this Big O Tires. They install things that you do not authorize. They have poor customer service. When we called back about getting our money back for un authorized service we were told we could bring our car back and he would take out the unathorized part put a old dirty one in and that would cost us an extra $5.00. I wish I could put no stars; this is a shady shop. Went in for a simple patch, they forgot to put my hubcap back on. When I went back to have them reattach my hubcap, the technician overinflated all of my tires, blowing out the patch they had just done. Called 10 mins before close, they disnt answer the phone so I had to buy fix-a-flat and air for my tire. Went back the next day to have it patched AGAIN. I asked the manager for a free oil change to compensate for the 3 visits, the money I had to spend on air and fix-a-flat, and for the time I missed at work. The manager refused, saying the only thing they could do was give me a new tire. When i explsined that his technician had overinflated my tires, he did not agree: all Kia tires can go up to 40psi he says (my recommended psi is 32; overinflating tires in such a hot climate causes increased wear and tear!) I left, tried a location in Tempe. I had a much better experience; they gave me that free oil change, no questions asked. read more

After working with David G at Big O Tires I must say that I have found a place where I feel like they aren't just after my money. David is very professional and I communicated with him several times in a matter of weeks and he took great care of me dealing with everything from replacing a radiator in my '95 Celica, tire alignment and rotation, and a new engine filter. I think the associates get commission, which leads to poor customer service. I called to see if there was availability for an oil change, the associate said to come right down and ask for him directly they could take me right in. I was there in 3 minutes, I verified they still had openings and was assured they did. I asked how long and he said an oil change takes 60-90 minutes (sheesh!) he explained how they go above and beyond for their oil change and sold me the expensive oil change $58. I waited for 30 min and my son got board so we began walking around. We walked toward the lot and saw that they had not even taken my truck back! We left. Sorry don't tell me you have availability when you don't. I truly felt the associate was on commission and trying to get my business he printed out my quote and said being this wth you when you come back. So it's been 4 years since my last terrible experience at Big-O, so I figured I'd give it a chance because there has to be different people working here by now. BIG MISTAKE. I took my daughter's car in this morning for an oil change and to have the coolant checked. I arrived at 8:45 and was told by Eduardo that he was sending the car back at that time. An hour later, I caught Eduardo as he was walking by and asked him for a status update. He went and checked and came back and said they were just about to bring my car back at that point. In my head, I'm thinking about how he told me my car was going back an hour ago, but okay. I ask him how much longer it's going to take, and he says it's going back now but didn't give me a time. So I ask him again for a time and he says it'll be done in 30 minutes. So 30 minutes later I go up to the counter for another update and Eduardo once again tells me the car is just now about to go back. WTF? Are you kidding me? I had been there for almost 2 hours and NOTHING had been done to the car, NOTHING. NOT EVEN THE OIL CHANGE. So I start questioning them about why I've been there for almost 2 hours and not even the oil change has been done. Eduardo starts going on about he has no control because he's not the mechanic. To which I relied I don't car if you're not the mechanic, YOU'RE the one interacting with me and it's YOUR job to set expectations. Seriously, these people are losers, and now I see it doesn't matter who is working there, the service is always going to be terrible. Big-O HQ must train their employees on the art of terrible customer service when they're hired. in 2016 i brought my car 2005 honda accord to big o tires to do my motor mounts no problem at that time , now in 2019 i'm having the worst time trying to deal with the problem that i came in @ 8:00 am trusting big o tires got a credit to get my motor mounts done again i got $2300 approved on 3/11/19 i asked only to do my motor mounts almost 5 hours later terrence calls and says that intake air hose is broken so i approved that part so know it's motor mounts & intake air hose, later about 6:15 big o tires employee calls and says car is almost done ,so when i arrive terrence shows me the intake air hose and says they brong the wrong part so a half hour later part arrives terrence takes it to the back ,susan shows me the bill it's $1300 thats motor mounts & intake air hose i tell her that's cool, 15 mins later terrence calls me to the back and says my vehicle has to stay over night mechanic is having problems with last two motor mounts ( know remember i took my car in 2016 to do my motor mounts) so i asked is their anything else thats needs to be fixed terrence says no just last mounts & put intake hose cause it came late so terrence says i promise the car will be ready by morning time and took me home around the corner. on 3/12/19 about 9:30 am i called to check on my vehicle not done still having problems with last two mounts, later that afternoon terrence called and talks to my wife that my lower control arms are broken ( but no mention about it the night before when i talked to terrence) so no phone call that my vehicle is done so i show up about 6:30 pm almost closing time oh! your vehicle done now they show another bill this time for $2141.47 i asked terrence why did it go from $1300 to my whole credit i got he said i talk to your wife ,i asked terrence why did he lied to me that nothing else was wrong & went behind my back to talk to my wife he says that's my job, i told terrence there was no way those arms were broken because in january 2019 i took my vehicle to to another company and got four brand new tires and alignment and checked around my wheel area never mentioned that arms needed to be fix asap, told terrence i got a $2000 credit from them and only paid $600 for what i asked for & then i told terrence 3 days before i came here i went to firestone i got my vehicle inspected what was broken , there found was my motor mounts were no good needed to change , my coolent was leaking , brake fluid, & power steering ( no mention of lower control arms were broken or damage) so i asked terrence to see the parts never showed thete gone he says ,so i tell terrence two places never mentioned about controls arms were broken ( he's response was maybe they were not doning there job right so i asked to his manager nick i came in to talk to both of them terrence was no call no show to work when i talked to nick about what his guy did he said i'm sticking to what my guy said he talked to your wife i went 3/13/19 - 3/14/19 3/15/19 and got nothing resolved nick had an attitude when i asked to talked to his boss and asked for district or corporate phone. i don't trust this company anymore they scammed me anf they know it big o tires knows it the owner supposedly sends you this fake message that send your name your number we will contact you that's just to shut you up read more

After taking multiple company and staff vehicles to this location for tires and repairs, I got the feeling that we were being ripped off. So, I decided to take my personal vehicle in already knowing that all was needed was an a/c belt replaced...$20 for the belt plus labor...Not only did they walk out showing me a dirty cabin filter from a completely different vehicle than mine claiming it was mine (I know this because I had just replaced it myself...wasn't even the same type of filter), they also provided me with a quote for over $1,700.00 in repairs. If I could give this place 0 star rating I would... if I could give it a -10 rating after reading these reviews I would. Dont waste your time coming here. Literally the worst place you could go for any service. They are not friendly and they definatley do not adhere to customer servce or appointments. I have attemted to get my oil changed here 5 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time I was told I didnt need an appointment and to go right in. I am sorry I dont have 3 hours to wait while They play the "home garden" network on TV. But that isnt even what the issue was. The issue was the so called "manager" Terrance told me the day prior with such sincereness to come in first thing in the morning and he would take care of me and have me in an out. After about an hour and 15 minutes of waiting for my car it still hadnt even been takin inside. When I asked how long my car would take I was told "give me a second" 3 minutes later I had to approach Terrance with a look of confusion like "hey bro did u just forget you told me youd tell me about my car" from that point i asked him again and he said hed "check for me" again. LoL well 3 minutes later again he is into his computer acreen again neglecting to tell me where my car is in the process. At this point i said "if my car hasnt been touched I am leaving. he said "are you serious" then handed me my keys and acted as if he didnt tell me hed get me in an out. This is what this place does though. Theyd rather make you mad and wait, then lose a dollar through their door. And they will make their dollar at the expense of you losing patience because they dont clarify anything. They just expect you to show up and wait. An oil change takes 15 minutes max. Super unprofessional. Its safe to say I will drive 20 minutes to my normal spot where I am treated with respect and my time is respected. Not to mention the oil change was actully 5$ more than what id normally pay. So really I was about to pay more for a crappier service. Not happening in my life time. These people make no effort whatsoever to fix the real problem. They just try to sell you an installation of a part that is not the problem, as I just found out after spending another $400 there. Moreover, recently I was supposed to get a new alternator installed. Instead, they charged me for a new one, but installed a refurbished one, which promptly failed (which is the only reason I found out about this dishonest practice.) So I pull up to B@O for an oil change. Four guys in the oil change bays, no cars. I pull in and ask for an oil change and they tell me I have to go inside first. I go inside and they tell me two hours wait because of cars ahead of me. I even ask for an oil change only aka "pump and dump" and still 2 hours. I went to this place because of a flyer I received in the mail. It said you can come in for a free air pressure check and receive 2 free Diamondback tickets. I needed an oil change so I went in. I was disappointed when I went in and they said they never even had any. I hate false advertisement with a passion. I still got my oil change. I got bothered with the typical up sells which I didn't appreciate after the whole ticket mess. After I was done they couldn't even bring my car to me. Never again... awful service. i have been a loyal customer for years but a couple of months now have noticed a change in their facility. they overcharge you and take forever to get your car serviced and my car was returned in worse condition than what i paid to get fixed. no communication from the representatives. overall, this has been a disastrous expirience. i took my car in due to a leaking clutch cylinder and my car was returned in worse condition that it was given to for them to fix. when addressing the issues to the branch employees and managers the fault was blamed on me and when proven that the car malfunctioning was caused by their negligence they agreed to revise the car but have been given the run around and no resolution is given after going on three weeks straight. never returning again! read more

Took my car to Big O Tire located at 720 E Baseline Rd Phoenix, AZ on Friday August 23, 2019. Before I could get in the door good I was confront with the first liar who informed me that my brake job would cost $140 per axle, when the day before I got a quote from the same shop for $90 an axle...this liar tried to make me believe that the "slide pins" needed to be replaced which they didn't, he didn't know I knew something about cars and I took this BOT employee that "the pins are in the caliber, they don't need to be replaced this guy tried to beat me out of an extra $50, and he would have if I didn't know anything about cars. This same guy told me my car would be ready the same day, I asked for a time, since I dropped the car off at around 9:00 that morning, he said "no window, but by the end of the day. Consequently, didn't get me car back til the next day. Come to find out that these guys were liars and incompetents, as the guy I spoke to the night before I picked the car up, lied to me also saying "I'll stay here til 10:00 pm, if I have to (this was 8/23/2019) I just want your job done right! Terrence then called back 45 minutes later, 7:45 pm, saying, the sensors are bad, you wont be able to get this car tonight, etc., etc...see you in the morning. 7:46 AM on the 24th of August Terrence called saying "your car is ready for pickup", the store didn't open til 7:00 AM, so it stands to reason that they did nothing additional to the car on the morning of the 24th...Before I had to call an UBER to drop me off to pick up the car, when Big O Tire was supposed to pick me, since they had dropped me off, the store manager called at 9:45 saying "your car is ready for pickup", I told him that "I was expecting you guys to pick me up", he it will be awhile, I have to wait til my third guy gets here", I asked "what's a while", he said "later on this afternoon". So I didn't want to chance leaving the car there another night, They already costed me a lot by not having my car ready when they had 10 hrs to do front brakes, which only take a skilled mechanic less than an hour to complete. When UBER dropped me off at Big O Tire I quikly learned that the rotors had not been resurfaced, which was probably why he car, a 2003 Mercedes E500, would not stop, a "BIG RED WARNING LIGHT" was on the dash, the car wouldn't accelerate properly because it was in "limp mode", when I hit the brakes the car pulled to the right, (and I had just had a wheel alignment the day before) thankfully, at a different shop. When I finally made it home with the car I called back up to the store and spoke again to the store manager; I asked "where are my rear brake pads?", after he confirmed that they were not installed on the car, he said "they should be in your trunk", I assured him that they weren't, he said, when the guy who worked on your car gets back I'll ask him what he did with them". I type slowly, and I completed this book, and they still haven't contacted me about my property. As a consequence of my losses I requested the name and phone number of their insurance company and THE STORE MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT "THIS IS A SMALL COMPANY, WE DON'T HAVE INSURANCE"..I'll soon find out if that was a lie also! Came in last last Saturday for a wheel alignment after Sears Auto Center by Chandler Mall installed tires and threw my truck out of whack. They were charging $90 for the base price and refused to acknowledge they let me leave without checking my alignment (when the tires were installed) or without saying a word about alignment. So I left to find a cheaper more convenient place. Almost every business has the base price 79.99 for an alignment so I chose the nearest one to me at the time. I called to check the price and verify I could come in the same day they were quick to answer (always a plus). Yes- it was busy after all it was Saturday and I had to wait a while. This is typical with almost any vehicle work. In my experience you are usually a couple of hours with almost any work no matter where you go. A negative thing about this location is parking. Moving around in their lot is horrible,very (very!) tight. But, the manager was very polite (I believe his name was Marcio) and handle the process smoothly. I brought in the alignment report from Sears he borrowed it for a while to show the guy who was working on it. I was given back my Sears report and was always given their before and after report. The two before (from Sears & from Big O Tires) before did not match at all but Big O Tires's report did make more sense for what was occurring. My grand total was 86.94 with tax and such so not to far off the base price. I have driver the truck for a while in numerous conditions already and have not had a lick of concern. The truck feels right back to where it should be. I was happy with their work and a little disappointed I could not use them to start while I was first changing tires but I was unable to get my desired set of tires. For basic work I do not see any problem using this Big O Tires. read more

Our family is overall pleased with the service done on our cars at the Big O. We have made friends with many of the employees, so that says we trust them and they back their work. BEWARE GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I have never written a review about any business no matter the service. Yesterday I went to Big O tires to get my mom an oil change and a couple of tires for her car. I initially went in Saturday and they turned me away due to being to busy, so I set an appointment for Monday at 3 pm. I should of known what to expect when I arrived at my appointment, due to another woman complaining about how long she had been waiting for her oil change and in order to calm her down they gave her a 10% discount. I figured I should be ok though because I had an appointment set! WRONG... it was an absolute nightmare and complete waste of time! My son, mom and I waited for 3 hours for an oil change and two new tires, which came to $226 rip off, but I had limited time so I said go ahead and do it!!! I finally went to the front desk guy and he said we had 10 minutes left. I pay and go to the car and the tire that was flat and needed to be changed was never even touched! I go back in to the lobby and start to go off on the front desk guy about what the hell they were doing for 3 hours. He tells me they changed the tire, so then I have him and the tire tech go outside to look and they realized they never changed it and started to make excuses, they had a new technician and they are under staffed. After telling them to take the tires off and refund my money expecting that they would discount to keep the business, the tire tech gets an attitude and says just take them off!!! I then go back into the lobby and the manager ask me how is my day going??? I explain to him what's going on because he is completely clueless, doing inventory all day (another excuse) and he offers me two free oil changes. After laughing, thinking why the hell would I ever sign myself up to wait 3 hours for an oil change again at this location, I declined and told them to refund my money! Then we walk outside and hear the tire tech ask his buddy "did you drain the oil"? This is the short version of the story, but the ultimate conclusion is that I have been coming to this location for about 3 years or so, and it has never been this unproductive, but safe to say I will never return again and they are making the rest of the Big O tires locations look bad and staining their name. On 2/26/2014 I had oil change to this store with coupon in mailbox. My experience is terrible and lesson to learn for anyone with new car. It was 7:00pm evening with dark. The representative at front desk stole my cap hup (wheel cover) my Camry 2011. This is their business to make money for living beside their sale wheel, tires, repair business. I hit an Arizona pothole while traveling home to California. This Big O Tire was the closest to be towed. It was almost time for tires so I went ahead and purchased four tires. The lug wheel lock was not in the car. Manager Derek said they would go purchase the tool needed to remove the lugs. He indicated it would be easy. Four hours later they finally got the new tires mounted after cutting lugs off and replaced BUT I was advised "oops, sorry, we damaged 3 of your high profile rims when we removed the lugs"? He offered to throw in the lugs for free? I told him he never advised that there was a possibility the rims would be damaged, and if it was an accident why would they continue to remove the other lugs damaging. They refused to replace or repair the rims. It will cost me $450 to repair and $3000 to replace. I have a signed copy of my work order where the assistant mgr David admitted they damaged my rims. Corporate won't do anything because it's a franchise. Stay away...these guys are crooks read more

I would give this place ZERO stars if that was an option. I took my vehicle there on Father's Day for an oil change, not only was the staff very pushy to sell me extra services that I did not want, they were extremely rude when I told them I was not interested. They took over 2 hours and I got there pretty early in the morning. The next day after my oil change, my car was making a really loud knocking noise when I picked up speed, I went right back to big o tires, they had my car towed from my home to their shop, no one called me all day to inform me the status of my vehicle, I called them about 10:30, they then informed me that my splash guard had become loose and that was nothing that they caused, but they were securing it with bolts. I did my research and the splash guard had to be removed to perform the oil change, I went to pick up my vehicle and they said that when I first dropped my car off that the splash guard had been secured with a zip tie, & when they did my oil change the zip tie broke, they didn't secure it back afterwards, so while I was driving the air and speed had to have loosened it to where it was hanging underneath my car and that's what caused the knocking noise, as the manager was explaining this all to me he was walking away (extremely rude) and explaining he would not replace the part and that all they did was remove it, I was told over the phone it was being secured the right way, now I'm missing the splash guard tiny vehicle because their failure to secure it back caused it to break, if that was truly the case, the day I had taken my car to get the oil changed I should have been informed that they zip tie that was holding the splash guard up had broken, no one explained this to me, & their stories are al completely different I was told one too many thin a regarding what happened, from it being fixed to it being completely removed. I am out of a part that I now have to replace. I am extremely disappointed with the service I was given, I will not be back, & I would never refer anyone here to receive the type of service I did. read more

Dishonest and unethical personnel. By far the people here pretend to have your best interest at heart but are willing to lie to your face to worry and create distress. They say they don't work on commission and say going to the dealer is a ripe off, (Never go to a business that trashes others) Golden rule, but they are willing to do same to people such as myself who don't know much about cars. The people who work at this store are out of touch with manufactured warranties and or pretend not know so that you purchase from them, they only work in their best interest. I took my car for check engine line and came out buying services and parts and real problem was not identified. They are not willing to diagnose for fee like other helpful outlets like AutoZone. They supposedly waived the diagnostic fee for me but obligated me to buy other services or immediately charge the fee. When I looked at my receipt it says a diagnostic was never performed thats why they asked me to bring the car again the next day to re pay another diagnostic, that autozone truly did perform for free the diagnostic for me that same evening. The auto-specialist vandalized my oxygen sensor and the proof was left inside the car when the dealership found the senors beaten and the pliers used where left inside the car as concrete evidence of their mischievous ways. I recommend getting informed before going to this BiG O tires, they are BIG O Liars! read more
