Wish I could give you one star! Came in because my breaks were squeaking. Made an appointment for 10am. I was told they would call me and let me know what was wrong in a few. 3pm rolls around haven't heard a word. I call them and they tell me, " we'll get it on the lift right now and call you back". 4pm I finally her a call. My car needs rotors and break pads yea I'm sure it does. I authorize the work reluctantly and they call me 5 min before closing that it's done. At that point my husband had left for work and I had no ride. So I picked it up next day, $1100 later!!! I go to drive my car a few days later it's throwing all kinds of codes, traction control off, hill start disabled and the breaks are squealing like an 18 wheeler coming to a stop. I call the shop and some rude ass hole cuts me off as I'm trying to explain the codes and says, "just bring it back". I dropped it off AGAIN and told them my son has an award ceremony at 6pm in Glendale so I need it ready by 4:30. 5:30 rolls around and it's ready. Had my car over 24 both times and still couldn't do the job right! $1100 and you can't do the job right? DO NOT GO HERE! It gets worse!!!!! A week after the break situation that resulted in my car being in the shop twice! I got a flat tire. Lovely Phoenix roads, has a screw in my tire. My husband goes to put the spare tire on my Tahoe so I can go get a new tire and my wheel lock key is no where to be found! It was brand new in the glove box from the dealership hasn't moved since we bought the car. Called Big O and after 30 min they called me back to let me know they did infect have my wheel lock key, the technician who worked on my breaks the second time did not put it back in my vehicle. I went here because it was closest to my house and when I came out to my garage I noticed that I had a nail in my tire and it was flat. I pumped it up at home and I got here right before closing and was worried that they would be rude because of that but they were nothing but nice. They asked if I could keep my car overnight, which was fine. I totally understood. They called me the next morning to come pick it up and did not charge me at all for any service, all of the guys that I dealt with were very friendly and professional will definitely come back here for any tire needs. read more

Lleve mi camioneta sierra 2022 para un cambio de aceite y no la dejaron bien ese mismo dia empezó a tirar aceite por el filtro. Fui al dia siguiente a que la revisaran y efectivamente era el filtro el problema y según ellos lo solucionaron pero volví a regresar con el mismo problema 2 días después siguió tirando aceite y solo me dijeron que no que no estaba tirando nada. I usually go to Big O tires in Phoenix on Bell Road. But check engine light and went to the one in surprise. I already had a diagnostic from AutoZone and I gave it to the tech. The tech said they need to do their own diagnostic to make sure it was accurate. I was charged $144 by big O and the tech said that they were not able to do the repair that was needed so they referred me to a transmission place. The AutoZone diagnostic said something similar, so I don't feel it's right that I was charged for the diagnostic from big O and then referred somewhere else. Also, the fact that diagnostic was so expensive was a second issue. If you can't do a repair, I don't think it's right that you get charged a huge amount for a diagnostic fee. The technician was friendly and empathetic, which I appreciated, but I feel like big O in Surprise stole my money, especially because I already had the diagnostic report from AutoZone. When I showed the tech the report, and it showed a transmission part that was faulty, I should've been referred to Aamco or another transmission place at that time. read more

I would rate a 0 if possible! I went for oil change 2017 chevy spark next day was exiting freeway had no brakes to stop at first red light I had to grab emergency brake to stop. Then check engine light came on and the motor was making a noise and wouldn't start. I called Big O Tires they said bring it back. We towed it back to them. They said it was the vacuum brake booster so $600 that was changed paid walked out started car then it died and Ck engine light back on. They said leave it here the mechanic will check it again the code was for exhaust cam shaft ( I had just passed emissions a week prior to oil change). They said the code was saying it's the cam shaft so they charged my $110 for a cam gasket. They told me they give up go to a Chevrolet dealer. Don't get any oil changes done here are you could have a world of problems. Update. I'm still having problems with my car and can't drive it even with new exhaust cam shaft and $2500 later. But made huge discovery my car actually has no oil in it!! So the original oil change done 4/26/23 apparently oil was drained but not refilled that would explain the Vacuum pump seizing and exploding into pieces the next day and all other issues since. I have reached out numerous times to AJ to discuss but to have no return phone calls. I've even included a video in this review bc I pray this does not happen to another. I now have to pursue legal counsel GREAT! I was suppose to drive to CA this weekend for my daughters club softball tournament amongst many others I now have to rent a car all summer for all travels bc no one can figure out what is still wrong with it. read more

I needed my oil changed and had been putting it off for a while. I decided to use Yelp projects to see about getting quotes for my vehicle (requires 4.4 qt of full synthetic). I had received some quotes and the pricing ranged from $49.99 flat rate to $99.99 or so. In fairness, each company responded via Yelp to my request for quotes. I had actually moved to Surprise area temporarily and was going thru my mail and found a coupon for Big O for a free (conventional oil) or $30 off synthetic change. I called them and they had the best price. I made an appointment where they took my information about my vehicle (year/make/model) and myself (address/phone/email). I would have appreciated an email or text about my upcoming appt as they had my info. On the day of appt, I arrived 10 minutes early. I walked in and the greeted and while the guy at the counter was helping another customer, he called to have another employee to the counter to assist me. I was quickly helped and went over the reason for my visit and my car was quickly taken back for service. I was told it would be an hour to 1.5 hours for the service. I received text messages that my car was checked in and then another soon after that it was currently being inspected. The technician went over the results of my service (oil change and tire rotation) and any other issues they may have found and received a txt msg with a link for the report. I was back in my car and driving home within the hour. My experience with this location was great. It was a good price (even without the coupon) and I felt they did honest work and not shady, by trying to push additional services on me. read more

Well, so far nothing good to say. I left my car at 7:30AM to change two tires. I got busy with work and didn't realize how late it was and they are now close but I never got a call from them to tell me that the car was ready. When I was there, the guy read through the paperwork and I guess I missed something so I asked "How did we get from price A to price B?" His answer was "Well, that's why I just went through all the charges with you. Let's do it again, nothing's changed." I wanted to grab him by the throat for being such a condescending prick but of course I would never do that. I should have taken my business elsewhere but it was my wife's car and one of the rear tires had a big cut on the side and I knew I wouldn't have a chance to do anything until 4-5 days from now if I didn't get it handled today. I'll be there at 7AM tomorrow to pick it up, remove the tire warranty and update this review based on my final experience. ***** **** ***** **** UPDATE **** **** **** **** 3/19/2021 I called them this morning and they said they were having problems removing the tires because the lug nut key wasn't there. I guess the previous one of the previous places that worked on tires or breaks must have kept it. They told me that they tried contacting me by phone but that they must have had the wrong number. They asked me if this was for a (insert woman's name here, I think Esperanza, something) and I said "No" and gave him my name. They had some 602 number that wasn't even close to mine, which has a different area code to begin with. I picked up the car because I needed it today and will deal with it next week, somewhere else. I just can't understand how they don't have a way to remove the tires, how they messed up the phone number like that (yes, I know it was printed on the paperwork I signed) but even then, they had my email address because I requested the appointment online and they emailed me a confirmation. That same form had the correct phone number if they needed it after realizing that they had the wrong one (they got a hold of someone who told them they had the wrong number) Not impressed. I had a radiator replacement at a Big O in ShowLow. Was the last car for the day and I was thankful they got me back on the road. Noticed soon after leaving, the AC was blowing hot air. Other than that the car was driving fine the temp on the gage never was more than 1/3 high, normal for the vehicl. I took the car to the Big O in Surprise, letting them know what happened. I thought something may not have been connected. They told me I should get a flush and a thermostat replaced then they would look at the the AC. Took the car to my normal guy who said there was no refrigerant. They probably had to disconnect some of the lines in order to replace the radiator. I don't get why I was told I had to flush and get the t stat replaced before they would even look at the AC read more

If you decide to have your oil changed at this location I'd advise you to check if the oil filter was installed correctly. After an oil change I had a LARGE amount of oil leaking on the garage floor. Took the car to another mechanic and found out that the oil filter that Big O put on wasn't tightened so oil was pouring out of my car to my nice concrete floor. $90 for a botched oil change plus $140 to fix their mistake. I had gone to them a couple times prior for oil changes without issues. This time the techs stripped my oil drain bolt.. which honestly should never happen. I've done my own oil changes in the past and it isn't difficult. If this is your job I don't see how you make stupid mistakes like this. They are obviously in a hurry and have no respect for your things or they are poorly trained. They had performed my oil change before so the fault is obviously their own, yet they are telling me how much I'll have to pay for a new oil pan if it starts to leak? My tech was Jose and salesman was Luis. Poor business. I also feel this shop is very shady with their pricing. They see a young female come in and want to rip them off. I've been here a few times for an oil change and they were fine. Today, I had two tires replaced and the tech made my blonde interior BLACK! I went back in and asked why my seat wasn't covered, I was then assured by guy at counter that it was. They took my car again to spot clean. Tech drives off with no seat cover right in front of me then asked me to walk around to the back of the building to show him where I'm claiming it's dirty. Lol. Bought new tires about 5 weeks ago from Big O. About a week ago my TPMS light came on and I stopped in at this location for assistance. Air was added to my tire and we were advised to drive 14 miles (!?) for the light to reset. Because I live 29 miles away, I well exceeded his recommendation and the light remained on. When I called I was told "just bring it by, we will look at it". Stopped in next time we were in town, 2 days later, and were told it would be about 30 minutes to check it. I get it, I did not schedule an appointment, but we were there for 3 HOURS to be told that it was low on air and the corrected it. Same day, the TPMS came on again and I stopped at another brand tire store who added air to my tire as it was 10 pounds low. Mind you, this is just a few hours later and 1/3 of the air in my tire is gone. Filling the tire turned off the light so I thought it was resolved but I called again and was told "just bring it by" which my husband did the next day. He was told the valve stem was bad but nothing was wrong with the tire itself. They replaced it and said we would definitely be fine. 2 days later, and the light comes on again. I called ahead and spoke with someone who identified himself as Jacob, the assistant manager. He wants me to wait until Tuesday to bring it in (I called on Saturday) and it will be checked again. When I commented that I didn't know if I wanted them touching my vehicle again and my experiences thus far had not inspired confidence in their ability or competence. He assured me that he personally would go and work on my vehicle as he had worked there longer and had more expertise than most that worked in back. To me, this was implying that they had let unskilled people work on my vehicle. Instead of returning to their "experts", I went to another Big O location where the owner had my car pulled in immediately and checked the TPMS to make sure the sensors were working and also checked the air. Same tire was 10 pounds low shoe had one of his guys remove the tire and inspect for anything that would cause a leak. It didn't take long for them to locate the construction staple that was inside creating a leak. Less than 30 minutes from walking in the door and the problem is fixed. 4 trips later including the second store at 30 miles each way before the tire was fixed was absolutely insane. They seemed to have no concept of the customers time being valuable and no apologies for taking 6 times the initially promised time. No apologies for making us come back again and again, just an assurance that this time, skilled eyes would look at my truck. Sorry, guys, my time is too valuable to waste. read more
