I'd stay clear of this location- While there for a tire rotation, they broke the key to my locking lug nuts. It was brought to my attention by one of the associates and was told to talk to a Manager. I went inside and spoke with one of the managers, and during the conversation one of the other managers chimed in "why do you want locking lug nuts, no one steals tires anymore". I said that's not the point, and I'd like my vehicle back the same way it came in. I was told they were on order. I stopped by the store a few days later and was told again, they were on order and coming from CA, but they should have them shortly. That was two months ago- no call, no update, no anything. I did inform their customer service and was told that the store Manage, Chris would reach out..,,again...nothing. The reputation discount used to carry isn't the same today.....be weary of this location. read more

My husband had to return to the Surprise Discount Tire location once again due to a malfunctioning tire sensor--the same sensor that was supposedly replaced when he came in for repairs a little over two months ago. It is unclear whether the part failed prematurely or was never properly replaced during the initial visit. Several months ago, we spoke with the manager regarding similar issues, including concerns about staffing, training, customer service, and the overall quality of work performed at this location. Unfortunately, it appears these problems have not been addressed, as the same issues continue to occur. Most recently, the warning light on my husband's vehicle illuminated, indicating that the same sensor--already paid for and supposedly replaced--needed to be replaced again. This required yet another trip back to the location. At this point, this makes our fourth or fifth return visit for a problem that should have been fully resolved the first time. When the issue occurred, my husband contacted the store immediately and was told the part was under warranty and he could bring the vehicle in at any time. He went in right after work on December 8 at 3:15 PM and still had to wait over two hours for the repair to be completed. While we understand other customers were ahead of him, considering this was a recurring issue that should have been corrected previously, his vehicle should have been handled more efficiently--an hour at most. There continues to be a noticeable lack of empathy, adequate training, and overall care from the employees at this location. Customers deserve to feel confident that their vehicles are being handled properly and that maintenance issues are thoroughly addressed the first time. This will be the last time our family visits this particular location. We will be going to other Discount Tire locations moving forward. The wait times, the repeated mistakes, and the decline in service compared to previous years have made it clear that something has changed--and not for the better. read more

My fiancé and I visited Discount Tire to replace a tire that couldn't be patched. We were apprehensive about spending $100 on a tire when we needed the money for other expenses. However, we decided to proceed. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, logging everything quickly. We were initially told it would take about an hour and a half, but we were out in about an hour or so. There was a minor issue when Mr. Dylan Dawson mistakenly logged into the system the wrong tire to be replaced. He was apologetic, took full responsibility and explained that since it was their error, they would keep the tire they replaced on our vehicle, as our original one was unsafe and couldn't be put back on. He kindly replaced the tire we initially requested and gave us the other tire for free, which we were not expecting. His quick resolution and accountability turned us into lifelong customers. The gentleman in the garage, who was also apologetic and respectful, replaced the other tire in about five minutes, and we were on our way. We were incredibly grateful. Although we needed all our tires replaced, we could only afford one, but we left with two new tires for the price of one. As we were leaving, my fiancé noticed that the tire sensor was fixed. They hadn't mentioned replacing it, which is typically a $100 repair. The light was off, and the tire pressure monitoring system was working, which it hadn't before. My fiancé is convinced they changed the sensor for us. We are so thankful to Discount Tire! A big thank you to Mr. Dylan Dawson and the kind gentleman in the garage. Showed up with a nail in my tire expecting to have the tire replaced. However, they were able to remove and plug the nail and get me on my way within 30 minutes. Compared to other like businesses in the area, their customer service is better than any I've experienced in Surprise. I ordered wheels and tires for my husbands SUV on 6/14 and he was able to get them installed while waiting in the shop on 6/18. There was no down time and the process was fast/easy. The shop was about 30 minutes behind what they quoted for the service to be completed but that's not too bad. Would definitely come here again! read more

Let me preface this by saying it's not how you start, but how you finish. I had stopped in earlier in the week to test my tire pressure as my dash tire pressure light was blinking and would go solid. It was an issue with the tire sensors. So I made an appointment online to come in for service as they had a reasonable price and warranty on them. I show up for my appointment , get checked in and go next door to wait. A bit later I get a text message that my appointment had been cancelled. I walk back over and wait in line to talk to someone about my service appointment. One of the employees tried to assist but was unable to get any info. Mark had come out and asked if he could help me. I explained the situation. It seems the employee who had checked me in made a mistake. We are all human so mistakes happen. Mark took ownership, didn't make excuses and talked to Omar about getting me in next. Omar handled my service needs and got me in and out quickly. I appreciate Mark and Omar handling this situation with tact and accountability. Overall, despite a hiccup, my service needs were completed with only a brief delay. read more

Took my car here for a simple tire rotation. I picked up my car less than 15 minutes after I got the text it was complete. (My car was there for only about 2 hours) As soon as I pulled up I noticed a DENT clear as day on the front driver side quarter panel!!! To make matters worse it has been less than 2 weeks and I already had to put air in ALL 4 tires!!! They were at 25,25,27,27!!!! How is this possible if the specifications call for 35 psi!? I'm afraid to take my car back not only in fear of damage, but my own personal safety as my daily commute is ~35 miles one way. Had a nail repaired in my Right Rear tire. When I walked out to my vehicle with the counter guy to inspect it, he noticed I had wheel locks and asked if I'd put the key for them in the cup holder - to which I obliged. Time goes by and they eventually get to repairing my tire, but instead of getting the wheel key from the cup holder - the spot where they directed me to place said key. They decided it was best to go through my entire vehicle. Never once having the thought of just asking me where it's at. Until they were caught going through my personal bag that was in the compartment in my trunk! They noticed me watching them, tossed my stuff back in the compartment - and just so happened to then walk on over asking me where the key to my wheels were. The wheel lock was still in the cup holder as directed. Upon asking them why they were in my bag without permission, they simply stated that they were just casually looking for the wheel lock key! The same key their colleague directed me to place in the cup holder - and I did! When I confronted the assistant manager - he seemed like he didn't even believe that there would be a bag in my trunk? (Like people can't use their space as they see fit?) So I had him pop the trunk him self and see it in person! His solution? Couldn't make a single excuse, and offered to retrain. Going through someone's personal bags is a straight no no. Something that everyone working in the customer service industry should know in 2024. Shame on DT for not providing a safe and welcoming environment. Will not return and advise others to seek tires elsewhere; unless you enjoy having your personal belongings probed through. 1 star because you can't give anything lower Update : No resolution nor action plan provided. If you followed my adventure this week you saw I had a flat tire. Since it's me of course I ran over something that was definitely not repairable. It's always a bummer when you have to spend money on things that aren't fun, but necessity. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find the parking lot practically empty. This is usually a busy spot no matter the time of day. I was greeted right away and after I told them my issue my vehicle was in the bay in a matter of minutes. After looking over the tire it was decided again that it was definitely not fixable. I paid for my new tire, they put my spare back in place and I was on my way in under 30 minutes. Don't bother making an appointment the 30% shorter average wait time is a joke. I had a 10:15 appointment checked in at 10:08. It's 11:14 and my car still hasn't even been pulled back. I check in with them and am told my ticket was misplaced.... The same ticket that has my car keys. I thought a tire rotation with an appointment would be 30 mins an hour max now I'm gonna spend half my Saturday sitting here. Extremely upset with there time management skills. One thing I appreciate is being able to walk in first come first serve. Way better than waiting a few days for an appointment. I called ahead in case I needed and appointment and they said nope just walk in. Later when I received a text message when my vehicle was ready it said book online and wait 30% less time. Would have been good to know when I called. Now I know and you do to! The parking lot is full and the road behind it was aligned with with cars all the way down paralle parked waiting for service. Eek. It it is going to be a 2 hour wait. Thank goodness I have Yelp to keep me company. Omar was a great young man who helped me. The prices weren't any more than at low cost places. I am not really concerned about pricing as quality and convenience are more of a priority to me. read more

I made an appointment online at the 16131 W Bell Rd Surprise location to have my right front tire replaced on my 2007 Mitsubishi Spyder. My appt. was at 3 & got there a few mins. early & they were VERY busy. The rep went out to my car with me and inspected all my tires. Agreed my 9 yr. old tire was shot & advised my 8 yr. left rear tire was ok but would probably need replacement fairly soon. Then we went back inside & he showed me the options in stock available to me & which tire he thought was my best option for the type of driving I do. They took my car back at exactly 3 & was tire replaced, balanced & air checked in all the tires by 3:45. A few days ago, I had a screw wedged into a tire of my brand new truck. I took it to discount tire and they repaired the hole, and rotated my tires, all at no charge. So, I hate giving bad reviews, but did NOT have a good experience here today! Had a leaky REAR LEFT tire needed fixing. I CLEARLY stated that at check in...twice! After an hour and a half wait, they come out with receipt and as he hands it to me he says, "REAR RIGHT tire checked out fine.". Of course it checked out fine: YOU CHECKED THE WRONG TIRE! To their credit (why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1), he did apologize profusely and got my car back in quickly.
