Since settling into our new home it's been the only place we order pizza from. The pizza always arrives hot! It has a good ratio of sauce to cheese, plus the crispy crust on the pie is great. The pizza reminds me of those big slice the Ninja Turtles ate in their movies. Kinda New Yorkie, but overall delicious. If you get the chance order the breadsticks my teens love them! If there was ever a question about our order or a topping sold out Big Robs would call to ask for a topping substitution. How many spots actually do that? Its hard to come by a good pizza like this in OC! I like trying different pizza places and was making my way towards Santa Ana from LAX. I decided to get this spot because it was on the way and close enough that it would still be warm. Little pizza shop in a small shopping center which I think it carry-out only. They specialize in Sicilian-style pizza and they really hit it out of the park. Firstly I found them on a Washington Post list of great regional pizzas. On this list (all the data came from Yelp research) you can search by state and then filter what kind of pizza style. I was surprised that a place in my area made the list! I called to make a pick up order and they seemed surprised to know that they had made this list in a national publication It was super wholesome. I always ask so so many questions bc I liked to be over-prepared (and annoying habit of mine). So of course I had many questions about pricing, toppings and what Sicilian style was. I settled on two 14" slices: meat lovers and supreme. I also had this sort of specific request that it be done in time for me to get it before I had to report to work. Pulled up to the place and my pizza was waiting for me but still piping hot. Again, the worker guy was surprised that their place made this WaPo list. But y'all. They really deserved the recognition in the paper and much much more. I ate my pizza on my commute to work and it was tasty as hell. Not too too much crust, nice crisp/ char to it, toppings were tasty but not overpowering. Juuuuust enough sauce and cheese. This place really flippin knows what they are doing. Best of all since there was a nice topping to crust ratio I didn't get all full just on the carb-y part. I was able to finish the slice of meat lovers and half of the supreme slice. This place is a gem! The pizza dough is made in house and the recipe must have a gift from the pizza gods. It is the absolute perfect crust, soft crunch on the outside, pillowy and yeasty on the inside, perfect chew. I always get the biggest Sicilian works. Generous, quality toppings, sweet tomato base and fresh mozzarella that strings like only a good mozzarella can. I've frozen a whole pie to bring to my dad in Texas and it was still perfection. A large Sicilian works and bread sticks will be the best $40.00 you ever spent. The Greek salad is a great accompaniment as well. I always get take out. Wow, I went to someone's house recently and they asked what type of pizza I ate before we arrived and I told them veggie... so it was added to an order for about 20 folks. Low and behold, they bought two ginormous pizzas (I've always wanted to get one of those larger than life pizzas), one of which was veggie. First time trying out this spot in an effort to find a new go-to spot near our new home. Safe to say we were so impressed and found what we were looking for! Customer Service/Facility- This family-owned business was so warm and kind, really communicative about wait time (I'd recommend calling ahead) and kept us updated on our order status since we were waiting inside to take it to-go. The facility has a couple tables but is really clean with a nice flat screen, a cozy and friendly place to sit if you'd like to dine-in. Pizza/Pricing - We got a 16" Sicilian style pizza, "The Works" which included lots of veggies to make me happy as well as sausage, ham, and pepperoni to make my boyfriend happy. It was $35 including tax and let me tell you, it's HUGE. They cut it into square which was nice and more convenient/less messy! I had 3 squares and my boyfriend had 6, and we still have nearly 1/2 the pizza for leftovers. Let me say this was the best pizza I've ever had - fresh, fluffy and doughy crust with a hint of garlic (I normally toss crust but it was so soft and chewy!). The toppings, marinara, and pizza itself were also very flavorful, not just a greasy mess of stuff that you get at a lot of pizza spots. Location & Parking - Convenient in a small parking lot, but with plenty of parking next to 7/11 and a small flower business on Trask and Goldenwest in Westminster. This is my Favorite Pizza in Town! I called in an order for pick-up and I was quoted an accurate time. I love when this happens! The vibe inside seemed like it was a family owned restaurant and I felt very welcomed. We ordered Mozzarella Sticks, 1 Large Hawaiian Pizza and 1 Large "The Works" Pizza. Both of the pizzas were phenomenal! They do NOT short anyone on toppings. Everything was spread out well and evenly placed. You can see and taste the care that goes into their work here. We also ordered ranch with the pizza and it was great quality! I've never been one to compliment a ranch before but they definitely have a good one. Went on a recommendation and have mixed feelings. Ordered a half and half pie of cheese and pepperoni. Toppings were on the weak side, except the oregano or Italian seasoning topper which was overwhelming and contributed to an underwhelming experience. Wish I had known about the topper in advance so that it could be declined. I also frown on places that give you 2" plus of crust as part of your cost.
