Our Samsung Family Hub refrigerator required service, and Samsung referred us to Big Screen Unlimited (B8G). Samsung covered the parts; we agreed to pay labor. What followed was completely unacceptable. Bob was pleasant only until payment was involved. After diagnostics, we made the first payment of $120 and waited for parts that Samsung confirmed were fully covered, including shipping. On the day of installation, we were told the remaining balance would be $265 (cash or check only), which we agreed to. The technicians arrived nearly an hour late--our appointment window was 2-5 pm, and they didn't show up until around 5:45 pm. The repair took less than 15 minutes with two technicians. Afterward, we were suddenly told the total was $304.95 because they "forgot" to mention shipping and handling. This is unacceptable. We contacted Samsung, who confirmed that shipping and handling had already been paid for. When we confronted Bob, he became dismissive, defensive, and completely uninterested in resolving the issue. He refused to let us speak to the owner and told us to "follow up with Samsung," even though the overcharge came from his company. This was a bait-and-switch, plain and simple. Zero accountability, zero professionalism, and nonexistent customer service. We were clearly overcharged and brushed off when we questioned it. Do not use this company. Scheduled a call to have my LG washing machine repaired. They gave me a 3-hour window that they would show up. He said he cannot tell the repair men their schedule, they don't like that, which seemed an odd statement. I waited and at the end of the 3 hours and they did not show, I called. Derek forgot to write it in the schedule stating "he is doing the best he can". The two men (father & son?) showed up...they went back and forth a bit. The younger guy walks out, I got the impression he needed to look something up. Older man starts talking to me and that Derek would provide a quote. Update on my review of one week ago. I gave a negative review on this companies Service of my LG dryer that was two years old. I agreed to the $95 service call to determine what was wrong with the dryer and this would be applied to any future work. No problem. I wanted to give you an update after on that call after I called Sears to fix the LG dryer. So Big screen came out and it took them 10 minutes to diagnose the problem as being a broken belt and the pull assembly needed to be replaced. They only try to spin the drum. We in took Sears only 15 minutes on the first visit to determine when they opened the top of the dryer that the belt came off the pulley. Belt was not broken or stretched out. So I save $80 part charge and a $255 flat rate labor charge. An additional $335 not counting the original $96. Think check around is what I advise. read more

Called Big Screen with 1 hour remaining and was told there was no appt. tried to explain they were too busy today, did not care they did not call/reschedule and could only reschedule for next week. When I wanted to understand no show today, he just hung up phone. After reading a few reviews.....all similar with unprofessional, rude and greater problems, I'm glad Big Screen Appliance never showed. Big Screen came out to replace a pulley in my Samsung gas dryer because the drum stopped rotating. They arrived within the window they said they would arrive, were professional and went right to work removing the front door, opening the top, taking out the drum, replacing the pulley, and put everything back together in less than 10 minutes! After several calls to them they finally told me they were no longer taking service calls for Samsung due to a payment dispute. A call or heads up would of been nice. Contacted Samsung about my gas dryer that was a little over a year old and wasn't drying at all. Samsung said they'd send out Big Screens Unlimited and they'd be in touch with. A few days later I received a call from a gentleman that wanted me to describe the issue I was having. I informed him that I would run the dryer like I normally would yet at the end of the cycle the clothes were still completely damp and that it would take several cycles to get them anything close to dry. He informed me that Samsung dryers don't vent vertical and only operate if the dryer duct is going straight out. I thought it was a load of shit considering i looked through the owners manual before I called Samsung plus I own another Samsung dryer at different property and it's duct runs vertical before it exists the building. He then advice me he wanted me to take apart the duct and to stuff a towel in the back of the dryer and run it in a inclosed space with nowhere for the fumes to go and he'd call me in the morning to see if my close were dry. After contacting me in the morning he had asked if the problem persisted in which I replied yes. He then stated that he'd need to order parts and he'd come out with them. A week later two gentlemen showed up stating they were with big screen and were here to look at the dryer. The one gentleman stated that the duct work behind the dryer had a kink in it and wasn't allow it to operate properly. I laughed and he looked at me stating the duct wasn't allowing the Samsung to exhaust the air out. I asked him if he had moved the dryer to see if he could actually visually see the duct and he didn't reply. I then said the duct wasn't kink because I was the one who put it back together and wouldn't have gone through all the trouble of waiting on the phone with Samsung for 40mins and talking to the first employee from big Screen Unlimited on the phone that had me remove the duct in an attempt to get the dryer to operate. After I slide the dryer forward I showed him that the duct was clearly not kinked, bent or smashed of any kind. After still disagreeing with me as if I was somehow blind I explained to him where the vent came out in the side of the building and insisted to have him run the dryer to see that the duct wasn't kinked. He said no that he didn't want to walk around to look. The other gentleman with the clipboard not saying anything the entire time then told me that the clothes don't dry on Eco mode in which I informed him that Samsung and the gentleman I spoke to early on the phone advised me on that and I've tried every drying cycle yet the clothes never get dry. After running the dryer for 30 secs he opened the door and stuck his hands in there and said it's hot. When it clearly was not. The current clothes that were in there were still damp from the previous night attempting to run the dryer. He then advise me to take off the duct and to run the dryer and he'd see if the dryer would work. So "I "slide the dryer out and removed the duct. I looked at both employees and they were in disbelief probably because I could physically fit where the dryer was located and they obviously couldn't and never attempted to even move the dryer. Attempting to get any short of product information on how the dryer operates I agreed with him that the dryer may get hot but the burner sounds like it's shutting off and if you wait the entire hour or until the end of the cycle you'll see the clothes will still be the same. I asked him what he thought may be happening and he stated again that the duct is kinked and that's the problem. The gentleman then said everything by Samsung's definition says the dryers fine and I should try drying my clothes because the dryer works. I then asked how is everything fine if you are saying the vent is kinked. He literally said then just call Samsung again and tell them to send us out again and he'll come out with parts. I then asked who the gentleman was that contacted me saying he was coming out with parts and he stated he had no idea what I was talking about. Neither employee came in with a single tool or bag of tools. Just a clipboard and had no knowledge of there trade, basic principles or common sense. I offered to pay them for there time to wait for a cycle to see if the clothes would dry and they refused. Being a local contractor in the HVAC industry, having a business that's family owed and operated and meeting different business owners/customers I understand how crooks like this give hardworking honest tradesmen/contractors a bad rap. Was supposed to have a Samsung dishwasher serviced under the Home Depot protection plan this last Tuesday between the hours of 12-4pm. My wife took off a half day of work to be at home for this service. They never showed up nor called. At 4:30pm I called them to get some type of communication as to why they never showed up. Straight to voicemail. I left them a detailed message with the service number, the service to be completed and my cell phone number. Two days later they still have not contacted me or my wife on this matter. And after this phone call Home Depot protection plan sent an email saying the service was completed on our dishwasher when in fact they never made it to our house. Absolutely ridiculous. Paid $95 for them to initially misdiagnosis the issue we were having with our 3 year old LG washer. When they came out again to do the repair they claimed they thought the issue was something else but they were unable to remove a bolt on the washer to check. They left telling me they would reach out to LG to determine the fix. After not hearing back from them, finally had to call LG who informed me that Big Appliances had been advised of the specific tool that was needed to remove the bolt but had refused to service the washer since they were afraid of breaking it! Off to a good start...my 6 year old 55" Samsung tv started having screen issues over Thanksgiving. My efforts to troubleshoot failed. I chatted with Samsung online for an hour walking through various troubleshooting steps. Nothing worked. Samsung sent a work order to Big Screen Unlimited and said I would be contacted in 2 business days. Big Screen promptly called and explained the process to diagnose the problem. It would cost $95 to have a tech come out and they don't accept credit cards. Need to pay before scheduling an appointment. So I sent a check through my bank and I am expecting a call as soon as they receive it. I'll update my review once the tech comes out to look at my tv. Repair estimate was fair, but the price got bumped when the repair person asked to replace an additional part not included in the original estimate. I needed to repair my LG refrigerator under warranty. The first company the insurance company assigned us to bailed on us. We were then assigned to Big Screen Unlimited. They called me back after I left a message for them. They were honest that it takes time for the part to come in. It took about two weeks for the parts to come in and for them to come and repair the refrigerator. But they were on time, respectful, did a great job, had a good and positive attitude, and most importantly, my refrigerator is working again! I did not feel like I was getting the run around at any point. They were very up front, which I appreciated. Thank goodness I had a back up fridge to use in the meantime. I'm not sure why there are 1 star reviews as I had a great experience with them. I don't usually review on Yelp but wanted to put my two cents in to recommend this company. read more

Got up early, took the door off laundry room and all items off walls as courtesy to give the repair guys more room to work. The repair guys NEVER SHOWED or called. We must be lucky. We have a Samsung stove that is under warranty and portions of the button/control panel stopped working. When Samsung said Big Screen Unlimited was their local repair shop, we looked them up on Yelp and were obviously concerned by these reviews. We tried to get another shop to do the repair, but Samsung said they were the only shop in town and we had to use them. So fingers crossed and prayers said, we scheduled an appointment for the repair. From our first phone call to the actual repair, everything went smoothly and timely. Their scheduler was very friendly, knowledgeable and kind as were the two men who came out to do the repair. They came on the early side of our three-hour repair window and left within 15 minutes. After our experience, it's really difficult to believe that the 0-star reviews are from the same repair shop. So we're giving them a 4-star review based on the fact that while our experience was absolutely stellar, they haven't addressed any of the negative reviews on this site. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Came out to fix our washing machine. We're here less than 5 minutes. Didn't even run the machine. Said the pump was broken and they needed to order it. Charged us $95 and left. My husband was not satisfied and stared looking at the washer and looked at the filter it needed to be cleaned. He cleaned it and that was the problem. Tried to call the company several times no answer. Finally got ahold of them and explained that it wasn't the pump. Asked for some money back. They said it's non refundable. If we hadn't caught it they would have brought the pump out changed it, charged us for the pump and the labor. read more

I am not sure I will purchase a Samsung again because no one in my area but Big Screen will repair them. I've read the reviews here on Yelp about Big Screen and they sound horrible. But I had my dryer go out first and they came and repaired it. It was pretty expensive but it is done and seems to be working fine. Then a month later the washer motor broke. They just left and now I'm working on catching up with my laundry. They were polite, quick and efficient. The washer motor had to be replaced and it was under warranty so I spent $250 for the labor. The work I've had done on the appliances was almost half what I paid for them in the first place. Still - what can you do? The service person was nice and he booked me as quickly as he could. The service people were late each time but they called me and showed up even after 5:30pm. They were working hard past quitting time - so I can't complain. read more

Nadia and I had similar issues. This being one of only 3 LG authorized stores, I suggest going off the wait list for one of the other two. I spoke to Derrick and paid 95 dollars for a diagnostic fee. The tech did a diagnostic test on my washing machine LG WM2301HR and after 5 minutes said "it's the motor, it'll be 125 more with shipping of parts." So now I'm in 220 bones to this fix. The motor comes in and they replace it after 30 minutes, then leave WITHOUT RUNNING A CYCLE. Guess what, I set the washer and after 2 minutes, LE error again. I call back about the issue, and two more days later, they send out the same tech. They run a few tests, change out the hall sensor and stuff from the motor they left the first time. No dice. The tech then tells me it's one of three issues, and they'll order all three parts and see which one works!? That's not how repair businesses work. Derrick calls me back and informs me that it's definitely the wire harness. I have a bad wire. No way is it the main board in the washer. It's the wire, for certain, 100%. Only, I still have to pay another 125 to get the wire harness installed?! So you're wrong about the motor. Keep in mind, this is a company where it's techs are pulling their tools out of small tupperware containers, don't seem to understand troubleshooting, and have misdiagnosed the issue two times now. I'm being guaranteed it's a wiring issue and it's 125 just for parts. I see the same parts online for maximum $100. Stay away from this place, they're as hack and slash as it comes. I felt very strongly about earning people about this company after reading the reviews they all sounded like con artist behavior. I have had a refrigerator that wasn't working since May . The warranty company sent this outfit out . There is one guy that does the dispatching and two men that come out . After just 2 min they said it was the compressor. I have edited since May now being August I called them and finally got thru after many attempts. I explained to the man that I wanted to repair the unit myself out of warranty but needed to know the name of the part so I could order . He would not ! I asked him why did they have the work order so long if they thought they couldn't help me . He just flat out told me . Don't ever call her again . For no reason . Beware of scammers . My TV went out August 20 and Samsung sent Big Screen Unlimited out on the 31st. Over the phone these guys seemed to care but on the day of the appointment my hopes were dashed. They had a window from 3 - 6. I took part of the day off work and waited for these guys to show up but they never did. I tried calling but the line was busy every time I tried. Finally a little after 6 I figured they weren't going to show so I went out to get food. Around 7 I get a call from these guys - no apology or anything just "I know we're late but we're coming now, are you home?" When I explained I stepped out and I could be back in 20 minutes the guy hmmed and hawed about how he didn't have time to wait. I reminded him that he didn't even have the courtesy to call during the scheduled window to let me know they'd be late. I told him I could be back in 10 and he found that acceptable. When I got home these guys were there, came in for less than 5 minutes, took one look at the tv and said they couldn't fix it, that I would be getting a call from Samsung the next week but because it was Labor Day it would probably be closer to Wednesday. I waited for Samsung to call all week and they never did. When I reached out the next Monday, it turned out that Big Screen Unlimited had closed the ticket and marked it down as "repaired." When I called to speak to the manager to get the ticket information changed (because Samsung couldn't move ahead with repairs if the ticket said my tv was repaired) I didn't get an apology or anything.
