Used Big Steve's Tree Care for cutting down 2 trees (removing both), stump removal of one, tree pruning. Pricing was w/n $200 of other quotes received. Jobs were generally done well. Returned on a weekend to complete the job when rain caused a delay during original scheduled appt. Pruning appeared to me to be lopsided but maybe that's because the tree was close to the house. Only complaint from me is when I asked Steve if they accepted credit cards, he said yes. He neglected to tell me he would pass on to me the 3% credit card fee that vendors/retailers are charged by credit card companies. I know there are several ways to look at this. I would've appreciated having all the information when I asked instead of being surprised when I paid the bill. read more

Steve and his crew were efficient, thorough, and super-professional. Can't recommend them highly enough. Took care of a Holly and a Magnolia that were severely overgrown and encroaching on both our roof and the neighbor's yards. We recently had Big Steve's Tree Sevice take down a large ash tree that was declining in our back yard. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Not many people "want" to spend the money it costs to remove trees, but if it is a necessity Steve is your guy! We had Big Steve's Tree Care come out for an estimate with the idea to have 2 trees trimmed. They identified a few others that needed it as well (prior to them potentially causing damage). We scheduled them 3 weeks out because of their availability. There's a reason it took 3 weeks! They came yesterday and worked from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The window for their arrival was 8:30-9:00am and they were knocking on the door at 8:31! They were professional and did a great job with the trimming and the clean up. Punctuality, customer service and affordability go a long way with us and can say all were topnotch. The people at Big Steve's are the best! I contacted them through their website late one night and started working with Nora the next morning. Working with Nora through emails was so easy as she responded to everything in a timely manner and gave me clarity when I was not sure of myself when it came to understanding everything that was going to be done. Steven, the young gentleman that came by to do the estimate, was on time and very polite. The crew to take down the tree (a little taller than a three level townhouse above ground) was fast and efficient. I thought it would take several hours, half a day to get done, but it took them 1 hour and 20 minutes. They were so nice and cleaned up after themselves. The team that came to grind the stump were also very polite, fast, and efficient. Everyone was just great! And the pricing for everything was very reasonable.
