I hired this company for a large branch that had broken off but had got caught up in the tree; i needed it gone quick as many neighborhood kids ride and walk underneath it--Tim and his team were the quickest and cheapest: 5 stars. Decided to use them on bigger project in backyard: tree removal, brush removal, stump grinding. Date and time were not concrete, thats fine, I wasn't in a hurry, but a few too many days passed and they did most the work on a saturday afternoon, not ideal. Wanted vines removed to, it was in the contract, but my mis-communication, they only take care of what can be chopped from the ground not what is hanging (even if its within reaching height--great, more work for me). Was told a second tree needed to be taking down to get to my original, an extra $200. Large branch fell from bigger tree and smashed a corner of my shed in, he insisted on fixing but never followed through--i did say to forget it because the shed is old but like I said, it seemed pretty important to him. Upon closer inspection 100% of stumps were not removed, even the ones they created. Their website claims job satisfaction but I told Tim there were problem areas. He said he would take care of it but after over two weeks, and one phone call saying he didn't forget (and multiple subsequent messages and calls from me) nothing. 1 star Called to ask about a new job, a different tree to take down so maybe that would motivate the company to come back out. Didn't even get a message or call back. 1 star. Update: Received text from Tim explaining poor communication and a desire to remedy my dissatisfaction.

AFTER...the two medium to large trees are safely taken down.

Tidy clean up, no damage to the property...and...professional and fast work, reasonably priced. We are having this professional company, come back for 2 large trees and the stumps will be ground down.

Well done! We have been looking for a reasonable quote since we moved in. Thanks to yelp to introduced us to this excellent service. Tim was kind and friendly, easy to negotiate for a deal that both of us would be happy with. Their work was fast and clean. We recommended him to multiple friends cuz we trust their service.

Very happy with the work they did on a tree that was leaning was badly I was sure it was going to hurt someone. They were on time, fair priced, and cleaned up after they were done. What more else can you ask for. I will defintely be using them again and highly recommend.

Great tree service! I would definitely use again. The guys came to cut down 6 trees in our backyard and did it all in under than 2 1/2 hours. They hauled away all of the trees and debris and left everything nice and tidy afterwards.

Outstanding service would recommend to everyone, very professional A+ service

Tim and his crew did a fantastic job on my sod installation. Reasonably priced and polite, attentive service. I highly recommend for any of your landscaping needs.

    Bamboo infestation
    William S.

Tim and his team did a phenomenal job with removing the infestation of bamboo in our backyard. He had a plan from beginning and stuck to it, giving me a call or text if anything unexpected came up (e.g., needing to remove a tree that was impeding their work). Tim charges fair prices and was a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable about bamboo removal, tree removal, and landscaping in general. He even offered to come back out (free of charge) in case the bamboo comes back. We will likely have him out again to trim down a large tree in our backyard. Would absolutely recommend. Please see photos for before and after pics.

Before Tim and his crew got started!

Tim and his crew were the absolute BEST! My wife and I had a mold issue inside our home due to the backyard sloping towards our townhouse. The first Contractor we hired just dumped concrete along the side which looked terrible. We had a few quotes to redo the backyard so it would fix the water issue but still look nice. We decided to go with Tim, and the Landscape and Drainage crew. They were quick professional and had the best price! Tim gave us updates all the time, and we are so happy with the end result. The work only took a few days. I have already recommended Landscape and Drainage to my friends and family, and will definitely use them again if we ever purchase a new home.

Someone started a playground project for us and we quickly learned we were in over our heads. The area was too deep and it was clear the wood wouldn't hold the grade. Tim and team saved the day! They came out and fixed the area, created a perfect grade, and a beautiful retaining wall. We can't go to playgrounds with COVID and Tim helped us and our little one stay sane and active. His team went above and beyond. We also had a drainage issue around our patio causing cracking and he quickly and efficiently installed a French drain. Great work at a great price.

    Before dirt next to patio

Tim was easy to work with and honest and fair in assessing my yard. My lawn had become a straight muddy mess with barely any grass growing in certain areas. His crew was amazing, friendly and respectful. The work was done in a timely manner and LOOKS AMAZING. I needed a French drain installed to help with flooding in my yard, and now after 3 heavy rains I can say excitedly there was no puddles and muddy mess in my yard. Highly recommend Tim and his crew. His price and quality won't be beat.

Landscape and drainage service arrived 30 mins before our scheduled appointment. They pruned the trees discussed and cart them away. They were efficient and effective.

The initial sales person was a classic over-seller and promised the world while simultaneously doing a very surface-level review of the situation, ultimately concluding that we were in need of an indoor water mitigation system and sump pump. The sales process was tortured, over-the-top, and ended with the classic "same-day-only discount" proposal (red flag number 1). The scheduling process and lead-up to the project was radio-silent with no preparation on what to do or what to expect from the project manager or the sales person until I reached out proactively. I had to call the morning the project was set to begin to even know if they were coming or not (red flag number 2). The project itself eventually began and within less than an hour it became obvious the source of the leak was in fact a burst pipe and not ground water coming in through the basement. I called the office and put a stop order on the work at which point they immediately became very cagey about what options were available to me and from this point on once again went radio silent (red flag number 3). Upon reaching out to the office multiple times (via both email and phone) to address the issue and seek at least a partial refund of our deposit for the issue, they took 3+ days to even respond, and when they did, claimed that despite obvious pictures pointing to the pipe being the issue, it could have been ground water at the same time and they were unable to provide any refund of any kind (red flag number 4). I get that I signed a contract. I get that they planned and scheduled the work. I also now have learned an expensive lesson about trusting my gut and being more proactive about my concerns. But they're supposed to be the experts! And the fact that they took absolutely no responsibility for having done a poor assessment of the situation up-front and then pretended like they were actually still right about it was disappointing and embarrassing. I can't in good faith recommend working with this company to anyone.

And then they kept happening, getting larger and spreading throughout the entirety of the house, and we could no longer open the doors in the basement and 1st floor on the south side of the house. Alarmed, I called a civil engineer and had an assessment done. They ascertained our house was sinking, particularly in one corner, and recommended ~30 push piers around the perimeter and up the centerline of the house... for over $100k. I literally laughed at him and asked him who he thought I was that he thought I could afford that. I called a few other places and got questionable assessments, and then I spoke with Yos from DMV. What a breath of fresh air. He was personable and honest. He recommended we get a 3rd party civil engineer to produce a report with drawings that I could use for any foundation company - even if I didn't go with DMV. We (finally, after a loooong delay on the civil engineer's part) got the report and drawings, and Yos and his team began work in early January to install ~10 helical piers on the sinking corner of the house. It was a pretty invasive project, but his team was fantastic. Fast forward 5 months and the cracks have stopped appearing, with a number of them even closing. We are very satisfied with the work DMV did for us, and are particularly pleased with their honesty. Where one company tried to sell us an overkill solution for six figures, Yos was upfront and told us what we really need - to address that affected area and revisit others if they end up being an issue - for roughly a quarter of the other company's price. That sort of honesty and pricing earns a permanent spot in my trusted contractor list.

I stand by my review. My experience with Value Dry Waterproofing was deeply disappointing and, in my opinion, professionally and ethically unacceptable. I hired Value Dry for approximately $12,000 of foundation, masonry, sill/bearing, debris-removal, and structural-support work associated with getting my house properly back onto its foundation. I paid approximately $8,000. The agreed work was not completed. The most important facts are not allegations. They come from Value Dry's own written communications. JULY 13, 2026: Value Dry President James Ketterer met with me and prepared a written agreement addressing work that still remained. JULY 14, 2026: Mr. Ketterer put the remaining work in writing, including: * Installation of two Lally columns * Removal of the existing block columns and associated debris * Patching 12 openings with block/cement * Removal of concrete debris He also wrote that Value Dry was "working to bring your project to completion as agreed to in the agreements dated 6/20 and 7/13/2026." Those are Value Dry's words. Mr. Ketterer also acknowledged in writing that Value Dry's employee had not followed the proper change-order procedure. He explained that the unforeseen work and associated costs should have been detailed in writing and presented to me for my signature before proceeding. That admission is important. During the project, demolition and foundation-related work had already occurred when I was subsequently told that another approximately $1,500 would be required to restore openings. I disputed that charge because I had not approved it beforehand and asked Value Dry to explain in writing why that work supposedly fell outside the original agreement. This is exactly why written change orders exist. A homeowner should not be placed in a position where part of the house has already been opened or demolished and only afterward be confronted with an additional charge that was never approved in advance. Value Dry's Vice President of Operations subsequently confirmed that a crew was scheduled to return on July 21 to continue the work. Then something changed. JULY 17, 2026: Before the scheduled return date arrived, Mr. Ketterer canceled Value Dry's return, stated that Value Dry would perform no additional work, and declared that the payments already received represented adequate compensation for "the work completed." Those words matter. He did not say that all agreed work had been completed. In fact, only three days earlier, Value Dry had specifically identified work that still remained and stated that it was working to bring the project to completion. That is the central contradiction Value Dry should explain. Instead, its public response attacks me personally, discusses another contractor, speculates about my motives, and characterizes my communications as "harassment." None of that answers the documents. If Value Dry is going to publicly accuse a customer of threatening its president, then it should state exactly what was allegedly said, when it was allegedly said, who witnessed it, and what contemporaneous documentation supports the accusation. Yes, the July 13 discussion became heated. I have acknowledged that. But what happened afterward is highly significant: Value Dry still memorialized an agreement, identified remaining work in writing, acknowledged a failure in its change-order process, scheduled a crew to return, and continued discussing completion of the project. That documented sequence is difficult to reconcile with the dramatic characterization Value Dry is now presenting publicly. Value Dry also suggests that I demanded work beyond its obligations. Again, its own July 14 written communication says otherwise regarding the columns, openings, demolition, and debris work that Value Dry itself specifically identified as remaining. Value Dry further claims that the amount of money it retained was "fair and reasonable." Then provide the accounting. Show: * The total amount Value Dry retained * The work actually completed * The labor attributable to that completed work * The materials attributable to that completed work * The value assigned to each completed item * The work Value Dry acknowledged remained unfinished * The value assigned to that unfinished work Calling an amount "fair and reasonable" is not the same thing as demonstrating that it was fair and reasonable. Maryland Judiciary Case Search also publicly displays numerous court case entries involving VALUE DRY LLC / Value Dry Waterproofing over a period of years. To be clear, the existence of a court case does not itself establish wrongdoing, and I am not claiming that every case was decided against Value Dry. Anyone inte

My sump pump discharged a significant amount of water, which created ice on the street during the winter and damaged my lawn. I also asked them to address a small uneven area around my sprinkler system. The team explained that they would regrade the area, use my existing soil, and plant grass seed, which I was completely comfortable with. They completed the entire project in just one day. At the end of the day, they sent photos of the finished work to the owner. Although I thought everything looked great, the owner wasn't satisfied with the appearance of the hay covering the newly seeded area. Even though installing sod was outside the original scope of work and would have been a much more expensive solution, he decided to go above and beyond. The very next day, he sent his crew back with fresh topsoil and sod at no additional cost. They added topsoil around my home to improve the grading and ensure water would drain away from the foundation. They even moved my stacked firewood, added topsoil underneath it, and carefully put everything back in place. When they finished, they watered all of the new sod, adjusted my sprinkler heads to ensure proper coverage, and thoroughly cleaned up the work area. My yard honestly looks better now than it did before they started. Premium Drainage was not the cheapest quote I received, but they were also not the most expensive.
