(we were coming from nearby Life Time Fitness Peachtree Corners). We called ahead and they said they could seat us no problem. Our group of 7 went there on a Thursday night and had a good meal... there are plenty of options for kids, adults that want to eat healthy, and of course typical bar food too. We love how great the LD team is with splitting the bill up by family as well. During this visit, I went for a wedge salad to start along with the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl and I was happy with my selection. My son had a burger, fries and mac & cheese. Everyone else at the table was pleased with their selections too. It's worth mentioning that there is plenty of parking and the little shopping center where LD is located has plenty of other retail and restaurant options too. So, a couple of nights later, we returned... this time with a larger group of 18! Once again, we had a positive experience. I had a wedge salad and the salmon entree this time. Lazy Dog does offer a full bar, but our group didn't drink this time... we were having extremely long days of pickleball and needed to hydrate instead! My husband spoke with who I assume was the owner, and she explained that they don't typically sell all flats because it leaves them with too many drums--which is understandable. However, that should have been communicated upfront, as I likely would have ordered something else or chosen to go elsewhere. The dining area also took away from the experience. The tables were filthy, and we had to ask for ours to be cleaned before we could even sit down. To make matters worse, most of the fountain drinks were out. I settled for fruit punch, which unfortunately wasn't good. My husband and son received their meals, and overall, the food was just average at best. We let him know that our son has celiac disease and it turned out that Nathan also has celiac disease. Because of this he was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful in helping us navigate the menu and choose safe options for our son. Even better our son was able to connect with Nathan and swap stories about living gluten free which meant so much to us as parents. That personal connection truly made the experience special. The atmosphere is fantastic and feels like a true cellar tucked away in the basement giving it such a cool and unique vibe. It felt like a hidden gem and a really fun place to discover. I also had a gluten free apple cider that was made locally and it was hands down one of the best ciders I have ever had. As soon as I opened the door and walked in, I was overwhelmed by the stench of what was obvious that the whole entire place had been mopped with a sour mop head. It's the kind of smell that happens when a dish rag goes sour. I went to the restroom before my order. The bathroom toilet had urine dripped on it, toilet paper pieces all over the floor, a rusty garbage can, and the mirror above the sink was also filthy. The young man who took our order was very polite. Cost of 2 cheeseburger combo meals was ~28 bucks. The condiment station was filled with a nice variety of sauces and seasonings. The containers and bottles for those seasonings were also filthy and rusty. There was dried goop on the sides of the containers. Taking the risk of getting sick and proceeding to eat what I had been served was definitely out of the ordinary for me. Surprisingly, the burger was really good. The fries had the potential to be really good given they were the skin-on fries that I typically love. But they were very soggy and not even a small amt of crispiness to them. All that being said, this place has all the potential to be a good burger joint. Cleaning the restaurant needs to be the top priority. Tbh, Im not sure how it passes health inspections due to the filth. Even though the burger was pretty darn good, I wont likely go back. The sour mop smell, the gross slimy door, the rusty containers, and the dried on food on the condiments was just nasty. I gave it an extra star on what was a 1 star rating because of the friendly cashier, the decent burger and I didnt get food poisoning.
