It's the kind of place that feels notably special, distinguished and high end without ever feeling stuffy. Everyone is warm and professional, and the food is absolutely worth every penny. During our first visit, I took a chance and ordered the grits. I normally avoid restaurant grits because they're almost always bland, flavorless and gelatinous. But the grits at Easy Like Sunday were completely different in the best way. Creamy with the slightest grainy texture and so perfectly seasoned that you don't need to add butter, salt, pepper or anything else. I had been daydreaming about those grits for two years. We finally made it back this past Friday and arrived when the doors opened at 9:00am. We were seated immediately. I ordered the Little Bit of Everything with eggs, bacon, those unforgettable grits and a thick, fluffy, delicious buttermilk pancake. That first spoonful of grits tasted exactly the way I remembered, maybe even better. My eyes actually welled up with tears. I know that sounds extreme but I'm not exaggerating. After waiting two years to taste them again, they felt familiar and comforting, like coming home. Our waitress, Diana, made the morning even more special. She was warm, welcoming and accommodating. When I told her I could nearly cry over those grits, she didn't make me feel silly or dramatic. She agreed saying,"Oh, I know! We have the best grits!" She said she completely understood why that first bite made me feel emotional. Being served by Diana felt like being taken care of by an old friend. We had never met her before, yet she treated us as though she had known us for years. Easy Like Sunday is a hidden little treasure tucked away across the street from Park Road Shopping Center. It's the kind of place you take someone special for a first date, an anniversary, a milestone, a birthday or simply a morning you want to remember. The atmosphere is cozy and polished, the food is wonderful, and Diana is an absolute gem. We cannot wait to return!

Cannot say enough how much I love this place!! Got sat right away, the host was so friendly and asked how my day was. Our server Mariah came to me right away and I have never met someone so friendly and smiley!! You literally cannot help but smile when she talks to you. Mariah had amazing drink and starter recommendations. I had the fried mozzarella (heart eyes- literally so delicious) and Timothy the bartender made me the most delicious drink i've ever had- the big view punch!! I will definitely be back with my friends for a round of drinks!! Mariah served us our food quickly and it was DELICIOUS (I had the pot pie which is my personal favorite). Luckily I saw those desserts on the way to my seat and saved room for my new favorite thing in the world: bread pudding. Every single dessert looked mouth watering, I can't wait to try it all!! The manager was walking around and checked on our table, making sure our food was good and making sure our experience was amazing, which is such a nice touch!! LeAnn was our server and she confidently guided us thru the menu recommending a variety of options that a few members took with excitment. The French toast she spoke about with strawberries and whipped cream was exactly like she described. A slice of heaven! Today we went to have Thanksgiving dinner. I'm always a little concerned if the turkey is going to be Dry.What about the stuffing? Some people just don't know how to make it. Well let me tell you, if you ever get a chance to go to the big view diner you won't be disappointed. I arrived before my guests and asked the server if he could bring me a little turkey to taste just to see if I would order it. You can go in and have typical diner fare (and service!) or you can take a closer look at the menu and find some real gems (balsamic Salmon, pork chop, chicken & waffles, etc.). We just moved to the area. Horrible!! They only have two servers. We have been waiting for over 40 mins. They had tables open but were told repeatedly they could not sit us there. However, if you have no child they can. That's discrimination!!! Children are people as well. My 11 year old eats an adult meal and we are not receiving a discount. As we waited for our food to come out (which didn't take long at all), we noticed other waitstaff delivering amazing-looking food to tables. Our mouths were watering!! We will definitely be back. A very enjoyable experience.
