On our early travels out of camping for the weekend, the family was hungry and we needed to get some food into us before a long journey back to the Bay Area. Bigfoot Bakery & Grill seemed to be the perfect stop- it's right off the main road going home, is open and looked to offer quick service. We didn't want to spend too much downtime at a restaurant and Bigfoot Bakery & Grill didn't disappoint. From ordering to receiving food, it was only a few short minutes. This restaurant is a hybrid of sandwiches, breakfast items and baked goods; muffins, cookies, bagels, yogurt, etc. Drip coffee is located near the back of the baked areas and is available in small & large. I had the blueberry bagel with light cream cheese. It was basic but good- put something in my stomach without feeling heavy or regretful for the multi-hour drive ahead of me! The restaurant is nice and clean- they have a cute & cozy seating area in the back corner consisting of couches and a nice backdrop. The rest of the area is filled with tables and chairs. The service was nice, friendly and prompt. The single cashier/waitress was very accommodating and attentive. The rest of my party didn't particularly like their food- if I had to put it one way, it's 'fast food'. Large, greasy portions of food that is focused on potatoes and cheese. If you enjoy big portions and food that is focused more on quantity than quality, you'll really enjoy it here. read more

I finally checked this place out. I travel with my dog all the time. It was a pleasant surprise that they are pet friendly I look for these places because my girl goes everywhere with me. The food was good I had a burger. They made a patty for my baby and she loved it. The owner even brought her a little treat. So good food so far and will be back to try other items. Bigfoot bakery is okay. The first time we went in they were very unprepared for customers. The baker was awesome and made an "Inside Out Chocolate Cookie." I found she has since quit. The owner just wandered around. I haven't has any food there yet and probably won't due to the fact that they are pet friendly. I love Fido as much as you do but how can you be a pet friendly restaurant when you don't have outdoor seating. I do not want pet hair floating over to my food. I wish them luck, however, and hope they don't fail. read more

Welcome addition to Oakhurst's informal dining experiences. My family and I stopped here for brunch on Sunday 8/2/26 and we're happy with what we found. About time somebody converted the old Burger King into something more unique and enjoyable. While Burger King was designed for mechanized crowd feeding, this family-owned business has repurposed the sterile fast food facility into a restaurant that is clean and bright but also comfortable and welcoming, especially if you have young children with you. They offer satisfying "Po' Boy" sandwiches that tied us over until dinner time The staff is friendly and attentive. They've added a proper coffee bar and a great selection of pastries. It's easy to find them in the middle of Oakhurst, the west side of 41 north of 49, right next to the Historic Oakhurst cemetery, which itself is a fine place to let little kids run around and stretch their legs before lunch. My father in law ordered the cheeseburger regular and it came out overdone with a burger and bun and no cheese or anything else. We're from So Cal vacationing at Yosemite and ran into this quaint spot on our to Bass Lake. I LOVE all things Bigfoot, and you don't have to say bakery twice to get my attention, so...we took a chance! Out food was delicious, fresh, and filling. My wife's order took a little longer than the rest of ours, so the manager apologized profusely and gave us a complimentary cookie from their bakery to make things right, which we all thought was a classy move Stuffed as we were after our meals, we just HAD to get a pastry, so we did, and the were every bit as amazing as they looked. Vibe is chill. We tried the Jalapeño Burger. It was decent. The potato wedges it came with were very good. We would like to try a lettuce/cabbage wrapped burger and cheese steak sandwhich next. They have a wide selection of pastries that speaks to current trends, like the Dubai chocolate cake, but we didn't get a chance to try that this time around. We did try the cheesecake, which IMO is also the best this area offers. Also really liked their peanut butter cookie. Our kids liked the macaroons, too. Well, we finally tried "Bigfoot Bakery." I'm not really sure how to feel about things. First off, food was NOT what we expected. We wanted to try something new so we ordered the "Crab Salad PoBoy." Not sure if they know what a PoBoy sandwich is supposed to be but that was not it. The staff seemed like they were trying but the dude that I can only assume was the owner, just kept creeping around making things awkward. If dude is going to be awkwardly walking around, at least make an effort to clean a little. Top things off, we watched the workers both handle money, touch doors, clean tables, handles pastries bare handed and not once wash their hands. This new hidden gem in Oakhurst was delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back, perfect for a casual meal. The Fat Boy burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I like them. We are locals and were very excited to try Bigfoot Bakery & Grill. Sadly, we were disappointed. The interior is a bit sparse and not extremely welcoming and at the time not very clean. The menu is okay nothing special. My husband ordered a shrimp Po' Boy, which is one of his favorites. The sandwich came with a side of steak fries; the fries were better than the sandwich. The shrimp tasted frozen and was not good. As for beverages, all they offer are bottled ones. I can get a bottled drink at Vons or any other type of food store. We went to McD's for drinks and I got a burger for less than half the price of Bigfoot. They are catering to the tourists who most likely will not be back on a regular basis, if ever. A lot of these restaurants need to realize it is the locals who will keep them in business during the off-season. Unfortunately, we will not be back. read more

Mmmmm wow !! Was my first initial thought biting into the burger and the mozzarella sticks ! Everything was surprisingly delicious and fresh . Once we got to the counter we were greeted immediately and they were patient with us having questions about the menu . Made us feel comfortable to take our time to browse and not feel rushed . Everything was clean , from dining area and cafe area to the restrooms it all was clean. When we sat down they brought out our order and continued to check in if we needed anything else . I noticed they had a breakfast menu which enticed me to go back up for a hike or something just to try out their breakfast burritos since they're Philly cheese steak, turkey club sandwich and burgers were a hit I figured why not try the burrito next time .
