Starbucks has seen us for the last time. Ever since we discovered Bigfoot Java, it has been our go-to place for special treats. The desserts are fantastic -- and often sold-out early -- but the coffee drinks are beyond compare. There is a smoothness, a mellowness, no bitterness, no burnt flavor, and they are uniquely crafted. My husband's favorite is the Abominable White Mocha, blended with whipped cream, and topped with caramel drizzle. My favorite is the blended Bigfoot Extreme Chocolate Mocha with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. They're not cheap, but they are worth every penny when compared to Brand X. The ONLY bad experience I have had is one time recently when I had waited in line so long that by the time i got up to the ordering window, I asked to see the menu, because I couldn't remember the name of what I was planning to order. The barista was instantly ANGRY, sighed very obviously, rolled her eyes, handed the menu out to me in the car, then folded her arms across her chest, and then spun around with her back turned towards me until I called out to her that I was ready to order. I always come here at least 1-2 times a WEEK and the staff here are always busy when I come and there are ALWAYS long lines!! Since I work at an office we have BIG orders and I always come prepared with a list of my staffs names and drink orders and they're always so nice about it even though they have rush hour at this time!! They make every drink right AND they always write my staffs names on the drinks so we don't get confused when it's time to pass the drinks out at the office and also, they are always so so sweet! The coffee was good, not as good as Kassie's coffee bar or Gypsy Wagon coffee though. Not many other coffee shops are 24/7 though, so we had no choice. I have nothing bad to say about the service either, it was quick, but that may have just been because we were there at 4am. read more

If I could 0 stars I would. I stopped by the 6th Ave Bigfoot Java this evening and was served by little miss Savannah. Not only were the drinks terrible, so was her attitude. She seemed so unhappy to be there and almost shot me with her eyes giving me hateful glares while remaking my drink. She even tried to go off in the corner and secretly taste the first drink she made me to make sure I wasn't lying and was talking crap with the other girl in there. So unprofessional! She was incredibly rude from the moment we arrived, asked what we wanted and didn't say a word besides the amount that was owed. This location just hires anyone these days! This used to be my go to spot for smoothies but I will NEVER be returning or spending my money at the 6th Ave one again. read more

I am disappointed to have to write this review as I have been to many Bigfoot Java's throughout Washington. Unfortunately, at this particular location I did not have a pleasant experience. The Barista at the drive up window was noticeably irritated, did not have a pleasing personality, and was not trying to be helpful while I was trying to order my drink. My drink was simple, but she wanted to be difficult. Due to this unacceptable performance by this Particular barista I called back and she picked up and says her piece of why her bad behavior was acceptable to her and rudely hangs up on me after hearing herself talk. I love Big Foot! But this location can never seem to get it right. And then they don't make apologies or are even polite.... telling me that we are not on the same page. I always order my drink with extra whip cream. Tonight she said I had to pay for a bigger drink even though I was staying with the smaller. When I said I had never heard of that before and that we stop nightly she basically told me I was wrong and to shut up. My son wanted to drive off. We then paid for a 20 and 12 orangesicle. Our drinks were handed to us and window shut. We got a 16 and a 12. Save your money. This location is extremely rude, not customer service oriented and I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. There's plenty of Big Foots around. Heck even Dutch Bros has the same drink. Won't be back to this location. And these were honestly the worst drinks we have purchased. Not blended all the way, no orange flavor or color, big chunks of ice and tastes like milk and ice... gross. And my son and I drink one daily. The girls at this stand are super friendly! They even offer new drinks and ideas for something tasty! For someone who likes trying new things this is very important to me! The line can be pretty long because it's against 6th ave, but you can easily plan for that. Once they get to you they are really fast and professional! Make sure to sign up for the club card! We use to love this spot but lately it has been giving us more reasons to not like it anymore. First one was when it closed due to hot weather and had a sign that said "will open at 1am"....Mind you, there were 2-3 people in there chilling. Just talking and hanging out around 7pm. That was strike 1. Another reason why I'm starting to not like it was today they had a signed "low on ice, can NOT do blended drinks" but we went to another drive-thru spot called Cafe Elite off 19th street and they made us 4 blended drinks with no issues. Mmmmm! Really good coffee! The place is only a drive up. It sounds like all of thier locations are like this. This is the first one I have been to. I git thier Nutty Yetti coffee drink. It rocked on the cold day I was motoring around town. They have various pasteries as well. If you go later in the day they run out of some kinds quicker than others. So I am ridiculously picky. I love a good dirty chai but it has to be 100% dairy free. I also love white coffee espresso in it. I also prefer hemp milk. So all these requirements for my favorite drink make finding a place tough. Today was my second time ever coming to BFJS. This stand is right across the street from my office. I do enjoy their coffees, but mostly visit so exclusively because of the convenience. It's hit or miss whether my drink is yummy, but sometimes you just need the caffeine! Most of the times I stop in the morning between 6am and 8am and the line is 3 or 4 cars long on both sides. Still worth it! Today I stopped in later in the morning while there was no line and the girl who made my drink was very nice and my drink was done in less than a minute. Sadly, my mythical mocha did not have the whipped cream or caramel sauce it advertised, but I didn't notice until I got back to the office :( I have had a handful of drinks, hot and cold. Hot caramel latte is my go to, the chai latte is delicious depending who makes it, the mythical mocha is a great winter flavor combo, and the nutti yetti is a treat every once in a while because it's really sweet to me. During the summer, peach smoothies are a must and any iced coffee drink goes down pretty well. If anyone enjoys rewards, this is the place to get coffee. For every drink you purchase you get a point. Been to this location multiple times and the last two times a particular barista has made the drink i've gotten every time, Berry and The Beast, wrong. I hate to sound like a typical rude customer, but when we've asked her - on both occasions - about the marionberry and how dark the drink is supposed to look, she seems to get a tone which makes me feel guilty, and leads me to pay for drinks which taste terrible and were absolutely not what i've ordered. Both of these occasions has lead me to go the Puyallup java and show them what has been made, to which they prepare us new ones correctly and nicely. First and foremost, I am a coffee snob. After one too many bad coffee trips to Starbucks (all locations), I started looking for better drive thru's to get my coffee fix before I head into work. I tried other places, which were okay, but this places drinks always have a consistent taste no matter what you get. Their workers are always very pleasant and their small talk never seems forced. They use great beans, and every drink I've had from them is smooth, perfectly prepared, and delicious. All of my coffee-addicted friends who come to visit me love this place once I take them (one of them made me take her every day she was here...twice a few days!). We've tried and tried to go here, because when the coffee is made correctly it's super good and we're willing to pay the $6 for a chocolaty treat. However, it's very hit or miss depending on who serves at the stand. I've had burnt coffee, I've also had the employee give me a drink without any of the chocolate in it, and I've had "mean" service. The final straw was when the employee took my incomplete drink back from me, stuck it in a dirty blender to add the forgotten ingredients, and hand it back. I'm allergic to certain fruit and the residual fruit taste was overwhelming. I recommend going early in the mornings, but not the late shift. read more
