Really flavorful coffee. We usually get a flat white and a vanilla latte when we visit cove ships. We find that to give us a good understanding of their particular coffee. Nestled into the Virginia Beach Municpal Center Outskirts is Biggby! My favorite thing about Biggby is they are always running a promotion on their social media or giving out coupons for your next visit. The staff is friendly and patient. The drive thru can get a little backed up during the typical "go get coffee" hours but otherwise it's a smooth visit. Inside there are a few high top tables and regular height ones as well. Not necessarily a place you would hang out for more than 30 minutes though even to do work on your laptop. The drinks are great though, love the various latte flavor combinations. My favorite is the teddy bear but I'm always interested in trying the seasonal specials. I have not yet tried out any food from here though. read more

Went here and grabbed coffee, and it was awesome! I got the Island Bear Latte and I loved the coffee brew as well as the coconut and caramel flavor they had in it. Definitely way better than the first experience. The wait time was decreased significantly. This time I was able to go inside the store after knowing its not just a drive thru! The inside is cozy and definitely a different experience. As you can see with the giant safe (I believe it use to be a bank) which is pretty awesome! I will still say that the energy drinks did not impress me but maybe I'll give it another try at a later time. I will say the pearls in the Scuba --Chefs Kiss-- I thoroughly enjoyed it. To say the least, the location really upped their game. I was pleasantly surprised because most speciality drinks, I don't really get a coffee flavor; however, I could taste the flavors and the coffee in frozen lattes! Both times I've been here the staff have been really nice, so that's always a plus! The service today was impeccable, I was glad it was not as busy inside so I could actually look at their drink menu. The staff was really kind and helped us out when asking about the flavors. There were a fair amount of employees working and each and every one of them had a smile on their face. It was refreshing to see someone call my drink and serve it with a genuine smile, something you don't see everyday. I am not a fan of hot coffee, but next on my list to try will be an iced coffee. Awesome new coffee spot! I ordered the Avalanche, my son-in-law ordered the mocha mocha, daughter had honey cinnamon vanilla latte, mocha cold brew w/ sweet cold foam. The mocha mocha, was very rich and strong flavor, fyi not be be consumed if you plan on sleeping. The honey cinnamon vanilla latte was good however lacked honey and cinnamon flavor. The mocha cold brew was all-around good , but like the mocha mocha this is not to be consumed before bed. The avalanche was packed with great flavor, filled with a bunch of sweetness. Because this store is new to the 757 area, I expected the wait to be quite long, however, it didn't take long at all. The drinks were prepped and served in no-time. As a new location, and as the same building was previously a bank it was transformed to a nice everyday coffee spot. Personally, it looked like a nice place for teens to get together and hangout. My husband and I used to love coming here but lately the customer service has plummeted.. The drive through is super convenient as a mom of 3 kids but the last time I went, I ordered a hot coffee and it came out iced, I was extremely apologetic but stated with how cold it is I really didn't want iced or else I would've taken it, the lady simply grabbed the coffee and shut the window, someone else came and handed me my other coffee very aggressively. I was pretty taken back. My husband has also stated that the last several times he went he has had very rude customer service. I really do hope this place can turn things around because we love the owners and the coffee but it's just not worth it to us anymore to be treated rudely when we've been huge supporters :( read more

I first discovered Biggby Coffee in FL and am so happy to see a location in VA Beach. There are lots of options, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bagels/pastries. Was disappointed in my experience. Love that they have a drive-through... but sadly they got my breakfast sandwich order all wrong. They forgot to add the cheese and in it's place added ham. I don't eat meat so this particularly grossed me out. Disappointing for the price and the fact that they weren't even busy and still got my order wrong. They were supposed to add cream cheese too, and I didn't notice any cream cheese on there. So it was a dry bagel with an egg and a piece of ham. The latte was lukewarm. Absolutely amazing, I went there opening day and was greeted with smiling faces and amazing service. I got a great coffee and cookie and talked with an amazing worker named Hannah. She introduced me to some of the other workers and was an overall well trained, quick and efficient worker. Oh man, I really wanted to like this place. It started out great, there was no line for the drive-thru. Sadly, that was the only good thing we experienced here. Everything I ordered was not what I expected, to say the least. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Freeze. On the list of ingredients, nowhere does it say there is coffee It even says caffeine free, but what I was given definitely had coffee in it. I get it, this is a coffee shop but even Starbucks and other mom and pop shops have non-coffee drinks. I also ordered a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Hard to mess this one up, right?!?! So so so wrong. They gave me one little package of cream cheese...don't expect it to already be spread on for you like you'd get at a bagel shop or any other spot where you'd get breakfast sandwiches. I mean, even Wawa spreads the cream cheese on for you. I had to ask for a 2nd small package of cream cheese, that wasn't even enough, but we had already left. Ok, so not only do they give you packaged cream cheese to spread on yourself, but the bagel was HARD. I mean, I thought I was going to dislocated my jaw trying to chew this bagel. My husband didn't believe me when I told him how terrible the bagel is, so I let him try it. He apologized to me because he was the one that suggested we go here (of course, no apology needed from him.) We, most likely, will not be coming back. read more

I'd been looking forward to trying Biggby, and had been following its progress on Facebook for the past year as they got it ready. I think there are still a few growing pains to be ironed out. I tried it for the first time at the drive thru. Pros: only one car in front of me, the ordering process was fast. Cons: they don't have dark roast coffee and they were out of the closest one that was similar. The bagels were really bad (I've given up having high standards but these were really disappointing). They forgot my cream cheese. I got a latte which was okay but not great, and my husband's drip French roast was okay but watery. It was also a bit unprofessional to hear three baristas standing around complaining about making a coconut drink which was on the menu but they didn't know how to make. Ok, look it up-I'm sure there's a cheat sheet. It took about 10 minutes to get my latte, drip coffee, and two bagels. I may go again because the owners seem nice and community minded but it's not our new go to, which is sad. I hope they get things sorted out!! read more
