After a week of hiking I'm always down for some great barbecue and Fort Collins offers several places to have barbecue but I came here with my partner who has lived here for over five years and said that this place is by far the best spot to have barbecue. We had the brisket and the chicken both of them were so tender and amazing. The sides, which was the potato salad, the creamed spinach, The baked beans and the coleslaw we're great combination with great flavors.

Two choice combo. Angle makes it look bigger than it actually was.

Two choice combo of brisket and pulled pork was small and decent, yet, nothing I would crave. The sides of the day were potatoes which were tasty; also, the corn seemed to be served from a can and the bread was less than average. Hoping to find more bbq in Colorado.

I've never tried this place despite living here for years. I got the pork belly sandwich, baked beans, and pickled egg. Their white bbq sauce is pretty damn good! The pork belly sandwich itself was really good but the only thing was that the pork belly was kind of burnt on one side so it was too hard to chew at one point. The baked beans had a familiar flavor to it, I couldn't pin it, but it was good too and so was the pickled egg. This place is worth trying if you havent already.

What a cool little BBQ joint in the heart of old town Ft. Collins. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time of the day, but just to the West is a great parking structure with the first hour free. I usually frequent this joint on Wing Wednesday, because wings are only .55 cents each. SCORE! Today I went with 14 wings and a side of their special smoked chicken salad. The wings are always delicious and well seasoned and come naked or with no sauce. These wings are smoked and then flash fried to a delicious perfection! On the side is a white ranch/bbq sauce you could say, plus on the tables is a more traditional bbq sauce. I will always mix half and half between the two sauces. Now this special for the day "Smoked Chicken Salad" was amazing It came cold and the Smokey taste was perfect! I went to order more to take home and they had already sold out. Time to up the order next time! Great vibe, great customer service, clean place, and cool front porch or back patio to sit at and even throw some cornhole.

Friendly, nice casual place to eat. Dinner time we were cold trying to eat some barbecue in this part of town. We made a quick choice when we saw the sign barbecue. I ordered shrimp platter and it was very good and my husband order ribs but were cold but good. By the way they don't reheat the food. I recommended.

Ribs with a side of banana pudding and potato salad!

I went here because I was craving some authentic barbecue. The inside looks like a bbq joint should: brick wall interior. They play catchy music to get you in the mood. There sweet tea tastes as if they put lots of effort into it and made sure it tastes just like sweet tea should. When I got my meal, I ate the ribs first. The sauce was so good: savory with a little bit of spice. The next thing I decided to try was the potato salad. I love how they left the skin in the salad. It tasted like a potato salad should: homemade! Next was the banana pudding. When I got it, I was expecting the Jello brand, but was surprised to see how real it looked. The best thing was it came with a nilla wafer on top! It tasted so sweet! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good, homemade bbq.

Table full of our brisket, fried catfish, pulled pork and much more!

Very casual and delicious. Reminded me of home which is the South! I personally had the catfish, corn bread, banana pudding and coleslaw. It's was so GOOD. Service was casual and relaxed. Comes out in a basket which was fun and a nice break from full service dining. Good vegetarian TOFU BURGER. Everyone just needs to try the food NOW.

This place was over priced for small portions of fatty brisket. Also very small sides. Will not be returning.

The brisket is really fatty, and the flavor is "grease" the Mac and cheese was stiff and salty. Everything was very alright.

However, we decided to wait anyway and accepted that the food might take a while. They were actually quicker than they expected to be with out food, which was nice and everything was delicious. Our group had a lot of wing lovers who really enjoyed their meals, which I consider a huge win! Also, the kids were very happy with their kids meals as well. We had some leftover for the next day, which was perfect! I love how they offer buffalo sauce at different spice levels because we do love spice and a lot of places just have one basic Buffalo sauce that is super mild. Would definitely go back!

I'll start by saying that I really enjoyed the sauce. We got a 32 oz bottle of Mild and Medium, and both are delicious. Atmosphere was lively, and though we ordered take out, they were absolutely on top of the busy on-goings while we waited. That said, when we got home I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. The wings were crispy, so they were cooked well. And as discussed, the flavor of the sauce was good. But the actual wings themselves were so small. This is unfortunately the exact reason we've stopped visiting another wing place. Great sauce, but the value due to the literal size of the wing is poor, at best. The restaurant business is a tight balancing act, but when you sacrifice quality to inflate margins it shows.

They trimmed the bone end and pushed all the meat to the top. This made them less fatty and stringy, more crispy and delicious. Their short rib croquettes were also amazing. I'd never had a short ribs prepared this way stuffed inside a tasty pastry with potato and cheese. They are my new favorites. I was so full on appetizers that I went straight to dessert next and I have to say that their cookie dough creme brûlée. It wasn't too sugary and the cookie dough flavoring was not overpowering. Simply fantastic way to end a meal. I even took home their brownie and ice cream for my housemate. They said it was the best brownie they've ever had.

On the first trip I discovered Choice City Butcher and the best damn hamburgers I have ever had, anywhere, bar none. I returned for a burger pilgrimage at least once on every trip since. The vibe was casual (order at the counter/bar) and the beer selection was outstanding. This last year I went back for my yearly trip and was excited to introduce one of my colleagues to this place. As soon as I walked in, it all seemed different. The beer taps were gone, a waiter (!!) greeted us and seated us in a foofy feeling booth. I inquired about the changes and found that the ownership had changed recently. The menu was much more upscale feeling (though prices were relatively reasonable) and lacked the signature burgers I was looking forward to. Our order started with the brussels sprouts appetizer. Solid app. Very tasty and nicely roasted with a yummy aioli. My old fashioned was fine, but nothing special (I make a better one at home with $20 bottle bourbon). My main was their Horsetooth Burger (Chili Relleno burger) which was pretty disappointing. The patty itself looked and felt like it was frozen, not hand formed like the old ones. The Poblano was nearly tasteless and way too big for the bun. Overall the burger was very average and not very flavorful. In the long run, I was pretty disappointed in the food. Service, was great. Very attentive and friendly. Despite that, this will probably be my last visit to Choice City. I will mourn the loss of those amazing burgers for the rest of my life...
