The food is always so delicious! And the service is wonderful. I accidentally got my Bradam for pick-up, but I wanted it delivered. It wouldn't let me change it through Grub Hub, so I called and they had someone drive it out. I wanted to tip the driver, but he did no-contact (which I 100% prefer). When I've eaten in the restaurant, food and staff have also been great. I don't frequent here enough but I need to start coming back to it. My husband and I came here and had a great time. Brett was our bartender. He was super nice, helpful and gracious. He gave a lot of praise to the workers in the kitchen. We ordered Coors Banquet pints since they are $3 all the time, every day. For dinner, we ordered the Mo Jeaux platter, DELICIOUS! We chose two gumbos for both of our sides. I like super spicy and hot so I added their hot sauce and the jalepenos that come with it. We got Cajun dry rub on our wings which were good and we were really happy with our choice. My favorite part of the platter was the pulled pork and the brisket. You don't need, nor do you want to add any sauce. My husband's favorite part were the ribs and the brisket. I was looking for a BBQ when this place got recommended to me from a tore where the other BBQ place used to be (make sense?). I am glad I took the advice and stopped in. While driving up I saw the smoker and stopped to talk to the Master griller. I tried to talk him in to letting me back up my car to take the HUGE briskets back to my place. I ended up going inside instead. It was a sit-where-you want kind of place. The folks at the bar had taken every other seat so I decided to take a table near the bar. The waitress was friendly and dropped off a menu quickly. I also ordered a beer which go to the table fast. I ended up talking to the bar tender for a bit about all the beers, tap handles, and BBQ. He was a fount of knowledge and very personable. Soon we were interrupted by my food coming out. I took his recommendation and used the hot BBQ sauce. Yum. The sandwich was a nice size and very good, the coleslaw not all runny, and the beer was cold. What more could you ask for? I'll be back for other entries when I am in the area! read more

Enjoyable, divey, and smokey spot for those craving decent BBQ! Waited nearly an hour and ten for food, but our waitress was super cool and brought us chips and queso to hold us over, which was both kind and tasty. We shared the platter, which had plenty of flavor across the board. My favorite bite was probably the ribs and brisket, which had plenty natural smoke flavor and tenderness. Stopped in here the night before leaving Fort Collins. Ordered the Sloppy Jeaux with Brisket as the meat choice. Outstanding sandwich! The balsamic onions added a great sweetness to the sandwich! The green chili was my first try at Colorado Green Chili, it was very good, flavorful, but I would have enjoyed more of a bite. The staff was great, professional and quick to help even though they were busy. The others I ate with said that their meals were great also. I tried two different Maxline brews, the first was the Irish Red which was great tasting. The other was a seasonal citrus wheat which was even better! read more

Outstanding takeout!! We just picked up our pork quesadilla and our Bradam entree. Both were nicely packaged. In the Bradam entree they wrapped the meat in tin foil and put the beand in a covered container. Excellent! The fries stayed crispy! I haven't had blackened catfish in awhile and it was better than I remembered. The hushpuppies were also done well, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The coleslaw was decent and not overly mayoed. I also liked the fried okra and the bbq sandwich was good, but I'm not a big bbq person so I can't judge if it's good. Amazing BBQ. The meats have absorbed the essence of the wood during smoking and its infused with the meat. The bbq sauce that came with the order was perfectly tangy. I've got to try a bit of everything in the Mo Jeauxs platter (5 ribs (1/4 Brisket, 1/4 Pork, 1/4 Turkey) and 5 wings, served w/ two sides (mine were mac and cheese and fries) & cornbread) and there wasn't any meat that I didn't like. Even the turkey was juicy and not dry. BBQ meat fills you up fast so you don't need to eat a lot of it to be full. I'd recommend this place to anyone that loves smoked meats. This is the real deal. Hands down the best Southern food this side of the Mississippi. I'm from North Carolina and am kind of a bbq snob. I've been all over the country searching for bbq like they make back home. Nothing has come close to being this good. The bbq is to die for. It has just the right amount of kick, which I love. Very tender, juicy, and flavorful. Bonus points for being a bbq joint that does hush puppies, and does them well. I've come to learn that hush puppies are mostly a Cajun side dish, but in NC we do hush puppies with everything, especially bbq. When you get out of the south, it's so hard to find hush puppies and it seems like no one knows how to cook them right. Well, they need to be taking notes from Mo Jeauxs. The cole slaw is delicious! I love that Mo Jeaux's menu has a lot of variety. You can get burgers, ribs, bbq, Cajun, southern, pub grub. There's definitely something here for everyone and even my vegetarian wife is a fan! The location is conveniently located near CSU's campus and finding parking is easy with street side parking as well as having a whole lot in the back. I am a beer / buffalo wing junkie. This is my fav meal of all time. I've had amazing wings, and totally terrible Wings from multiple states across the country. Of all I had, these may be the best. Buffalo Wings should be as complex as beer. Beginning flavor, mid flavor, burn finish, Never soggy. Never dry. Hot as hell and huge. These are crunchy cuz they are fried, and full of flavor since they are smoked first. My mouth was on fire (hot lvl on the menu) and the beer (voodoo IPA ) was perfect for putting out fires. Service: Very quick and helpful. Food: It appears that the bar focused best on their BBQ. They had three types of meats: beef brisket, shredded pork, and smoked turkey. They also served wings, ribs, and some Creole dishes. Flavor: The BBQ meats were all pretty dry. The beef and pork being the driest of the meats. The smoked turkey was moist, but still fairly dry. When paired with the hot bbq sauce, the meats were better, but still pretty dry. The ribs had a good rub and flavor. The hot garlic wings were especially a favorite on the platter. Price: The platter cost $30 and was a decent price for what we received. When looking at the other prices on the menu, $3.50 per 1/4 lb seems fairly reasonable, especially with the dryness of the meat. Atmosphere: Mo Jeaux's is located near the university and I could imagine that a lot of the customers are university students. They seem to have drink deals during the week, but none during the weekend. While some friends spoke highly of this restaurant, it's possible that I came on an off day. When I ate at the restaurant, there were only 2 people at the bar. The bartender was friendly and nice. He was attentive to our needs and quick to help. We ordered the Mo Jeaux's Platter. It featured a little bit of everything on the menu. It was almost like a sampler platter. I've wondered if I would return to this restaurant in the future. I would definitely return for the wings and maybe the ribs. I would be willing to give the bbq a second chance, but it would not be the reason for me to return. read more

My husband was a founding member; as well as competition Judge; with the Florida BBQ Association. Both of my sons ran a BBQ restaurant in Florida and won a few competitions and awards of their own. So when they love Q, you know it must be good! The smoke flavor and smoke ring are superb in both the pork and the brisket. Usually when someone excels at bbq, their sides are lackluster. Not the case here!! Sauces wonderful, too. Sides we loved- seasons fries, gumbo, chili, hush puppies and Mac and cheese...all house made. Our server was FABULOUS, attentive, and well-versed on the menu and product. They made a small mistake on one sandwich, apologized with an enormous piece of homemade pecan pie...complete with homemade whipped cream. We will most definitely be back! Had a hankering for BBQ so gave MJ a try. I'm from the Midwest so wanted something legit. We opted for the giant platter because 1) it's a great value for the amount of food for two to split and 2) it gave us the chance to try it all. Best meat: pulled pork and those wings. It was fantastic and I'm not a pulled pork fan. If you are on the fence, get the pulled pork or wings. Least favorite: smoked turkey. It was fine just super duper smoked, and not my taste. The brisket was tender and OK, too smoked for me again, but that's a personal preference. Same with the ribs. They were fall off the bone and cooked well, just too much of the smoke taste. Sauce was OK, no complaints. The Mac was yummy! The red beans and rice were spicy! I'm a wimp so couldn't do it. The bread was so good! Very honey loaded which I loved. We had spectacular service! We love Mo Jeaux's! Shortly after moving to Fort Collins 2019, we popped into the restaurant. It has a "hole in the wall" feel but the food is simply delicious. While it is not advertised as a BBQ restaurant, you cannot go wrong with their smoked meats. I usually go for the "sides" menu and get the red beans and rice, gumbo, and cornbread.
