That kind of genuine kindness really meant a lot to me, and he truly made my night when I needed it most. Next Door is such a great neighborhood bar. It's perfect for a date night, but it's also a really comfortable and safe place to go on your own. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff make you feel like you belong. And one last thing--I've eaten here before, and the food is genuinely good! The menu has great quality, so this is definitely more than just a place to grab a drink. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). The taste was decent and meat was tender, just too much bread in this dish. Both dishes come with hand-cut fries. They were average at best. I've had better hand-cut fries though. Burger- looked and tasted good, the double patties are paper thin. You don't get much meat at all on this. I did like the taste of the patty though. As I indicated service was just bad. It took forever anytime we needed anything. I never received a refill on my water either. Even though I was sitting in a booth right next to the bar, the waitress never came over to our table to check on me. The place was sort of dead when I arrived also. Not sure if they are about to close down or what, you would think more customers would be here, but it is back and away from the main street of City Center and hard to find in the first place.
