I had heard a lot about this place's drinks with a slice of tiramisu on top so decided to give it a try. I got the matcha tiramisu latte but got the tiramisu on the side as I thought it would be easier to eat and take to go. The latte was very sweet which overpowered the matcha flavor. The matcha tiramisu was decent, fluffy and light. They had multiple tiramisu flavors to try, and you could get them separately without a drink too. The shop has free parking in a lot right in front. There aren't too many tables, and it was a little noisy so I wouldn't recommend as a study spot. The service was fine.

Located in the same plaza as Honeymee. The parking in this plaza is always crowded considering the amount of businesses that has opened up in recent years. This place used to be Sunright and is now serving mostly matcha drinks. It was pretty crowded on a Sunday afternoon. They have a few tables to sit at but it can get packed. I ordered a matcha cloud latte, a regular size. I could have opted for less sugar because it was pretty sweet. The latte didn't bring out the matcha flavor. The drink was underwhelming for me.

I was at Bijou located at Bellaire Chinatown Center during its soft opening and I know those people posted reviews unfairly. Really, nothing official yet. I was convinced to come back to experience when they are fully operational. I love coming here. Especially hearing about how this coffee shop started as a pastry caterer. Looking at the Ube Tiramisu... Mmm... so yummy. I had it during soft opening and it was good. Today, I'm trying Coconut Water Matcha. I don't drink coffee past 2 pm but I can have teas up till 6 pm. I asked for no sugar but it came a little sweet. It was still pretty good. Not what attracted so many female clientele to Bijou. I was the only male customer at the whole restaurant.

We saw the reviews and photos online, so decided to give it a try. We went on a Saturday afternoon, the lines were a bit longer, we waited around 10 min for the food and drinks. But the wait wasn't as bad and we were able to get a table before the food came out. So the turnaround time was quick! The drinks were great. We had the tiramisu coffee with the cake on top. I love the cake! The coffee was a bit sweet to pair with the coffee, but it was still great! Cloud matcha was great too! We are matcha enthusiast, so we tried many different places for matcha, and this one was great. The matcha was not too sweet and not too strong. Creme brûlée coffee was not bad, but it was different for us. We've never had one, so decided to try. The coffee wasn't too sweet, which was great. But the foam was a bit bitter for some reason Croffle was yummy as well. Not too sweet! We love the flavors there, nothing is too over the top sweet. So it's good for someone who wants some sweet but not a sweet tooth. But overall, it's a great place and great food as well. Also great for social media photos

I would say it's pretty good for a dessert around here on the level of coffee tiramisu mostly more of whipped cream just the right amount of biscuits, very light coffee although I'm only tasting more of light flavor coffee but not too much maybe it's for kid friendly kind of dessert perhaps. Durian tiramisu actually has more stronger durian flavor but here again it's always more whip than the fruit itself. So far kids love the Oreo and I love the durian the best , not so much for the coffee and regular tiramisu. Price is fair not as high as other places but you get more if you want Oreo and Durian. I tried the mango pancotta which has both syrup and mango fruit so it's really nice but this place makes it good for kids not if you want a lot of rum or the super wet with strong coffee it's still missing that.

I got the biscoff banana pudding matcha latte, and it was delicious! The biscoff bits were yummy to chew on and the banana pudding was sweet! Would definitely go again to try other drinks, the cafe was very cute and new!

The Ube coffee was very good! The Ube balanced out the bitterness of the Vietnamese coffee nicely The matcha cloud was great too! The matcha latte was creamy and not watered down. Small shop in bellaire with decent seating options. We didn't have to wait too long for our drinks

Heard super good reviews about this cafe for their matcha latte so decided to stop by and give it a try. Walking in, the cafe is well lit up, clean, there are some table but space is limited. There are also some benches outside for additional seating. The staff were nice and super busy with the amount of customers. I ordered the banana pudding matcha latte and biscoff matcha latte. Both drink were creamy, not too sweet, and tasted like banana pudding and biscoff. Though I am a little disappointed as there was wasn't much matcha flavor coming through. I recommend coming at night/early morning compared to coming in the afternoon on a weekend. The line eventually wrapped around inside the cafe and kept getting longer. But wait time for drink weren't too bad as I beat the crowd to ordering. Overall, not bad but I wouldn't go out my way to get it.

This place offers a variety of unique flavors. The servers were helpful and gave good recommendations. They have seating inside and outside. The parking lot around this area is always packed. I would recommend giving this place a try!

Went in grand opening weekend. They ran out of croffles but there were a few desserts left. I got a tea and a strawberry matcha with two desserts, ube tiramisu (soft and fluffy and really good) and a biscoff pudding (really sweet). I definitely recommend this place. They have lot of parks but it gets busy so you might have to park further and walk here.

Bijou has plenty of seating, tables, and wifi. A good place to chat but it is on the smaller side. My friend and I both ordered the medium matcha cloud latte and it came out to almost $8 each (on the pricier side for a medium). The drinks are aesthetically pleasing but it is EXTREMELY sweet and the cream taste is VERY overpowering! The matcha taste is not there; tasted almost like a vanilla frappe. My friend and I had a hard time finishing our drinks. Definitely ask if you can adjust the sweetness level. They also have desserts like different flavored banana puddings and tiramisu. We got the biscoff banana pudding and it was delicious! Not too sweet, great biscoff taste, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like bananas. Would recommend their desserts, but I would not come here for the matcha.

Went late at night, about 30 minutes before closing to grab dessert for takeout. They still had a handful of panna cotta (kiwi, strawberry), tiramisu (ube, matcha, Vietnamese coffee), and Dubai croissants. Got a strawberry panna cotta and ube tiramisu. Total was about $12.50. They were super nice and packed it in a fancy insulated bag. The strawberry panna cotta was smooth and creamy, pairing well with slightly watery, tart strawberries in syrup. The ube tiramisu was super tasty, with a nice creamy ube filling and soft lady cake layers. Definitely a must! Will have to be back to try their other items!

Pretty decent dessert shop in Bellaire. Took over the old boba tea place that was in this location before. Interior is pretty clean. Good amount of drinks to order from ranging from Matcha, coffee, milk teas. They have good tiramisus as desserts here (many flavors) . My go to drink is the banana bread pudding matcha with 25-50%. Drinks take a little while to come out. read more

Bijou is a cute cafe that recently opened in Bellaire, serving both matcha, milk tea, and coffee. If you're looking for a dessert matcha, this is the place for you because it's on the sweeter side. We enjoyed the banana pudding matcha, and the biscoff one even more. Wow, it's really sweet though... I wonder if you can adjust the sweetness level. excited to come check out this new matcha spot in chinatown since I saw all their fun drinks on tiktok and social media! we got the matcha tiramisu, which was just a regular matcha topped with a heaping slice of their matcha tiramisu and the biscoff matcha latte, dusted with biscoff powder and topped with a biscuit. Both drinks were okay in my opinion, the biscoff was good but WAY too sweet, i'd definitely recommend adjusting sugar levels, 6.5/10. The tiramisu was delicious and light, 7/10, but the matcha itself was 5/10, the ladyfingers also become soggy and crumble making the texture and combo weird. However, the space is cute and well lit, not too many tables and the line goes quick. read more

New boba place at Chinatown that just opened. The store was clean and well organized. The staff were super friendly and helpful explaining drinks. They don't have much options, but I like it, less confused for me. Overall, the drinks are on the side of sweet. I had to get 50% sweetness level, but it was still tasted overly for me. I highly recommend pistachio or banana pudding matcha. The biggest complaint for me is the price. Their price is range from $6.50 to $9.50. I would comeback to try more! read more

Was not bad. I need to come back and try their croffles. The panna cotta was good. Was supple and creamy the blueberry syrup was also not too sweet for my fellow Asians. The pistachio matcha was tasty. I wonder if they use the pistachio butter cause it was super yummy when you mixed together. The tiramisu's were OK. A new shop in Chinatown, so a visit was a must! We honestly just craved for coffee at night, and decided to try Bijou earlier this week. The store certainly has a modern vibe, and there were quite a handful of people in there as it was still pretty new. The menu has coffee and matcha options along with desserts. Service was so-so, as it was busy. I ordered the pistachio creme matcha -- it was mediocre for me. You can taste the matcha at first, but once you stir the pistachio creme, the drink became an iced pistachio milk instead? The presentation was IG-worthy though. My SO had the Ube coffee latte, the ube cream was good, but he said the coffee at Trung Nguyen tastes better. Tl;dr: Overall, drinks were mediocre -- I would go once for the IG/bling. There are better options across the street or 2' from the complex. read more

Came here Friday afternoon and the place was busy! They're still in their soft opening phase, so I didn't have high expectations regarding the service but I thought they were great about timeliness of the drinks. There's a lot on the menu - coffee and matcha drinks of course and a lot of specialty drinks you can't find at just any cafe. I was surprised by their dessert menu - there's croffles, different varieties of tiramisus, and more! We ended up getting the Tiramisu cream vietnamese coffee and the banana pudding matcha latte and the vietnamese coffee tiramisu. The banana pudding topping on the matcha latte was so good, but the matcha latte itself was overly sweet, so I'd ask for less sweet next time. The tiramisu coffee was strong as we expect Vietnamese coffee to be, but also overly sweet, so sweetness is definitely something to beware of because we like sweets but thought these drinks were sweeter than most Asian-owned cafe establishments. The Vietnamese coffee tiramisu was alright...the ladyfingers didn't seem like they were soaked properly and were still very hard, so we wouldn't get it again. All in all, it's a good place to hang out with friends after a meal and try some decadent drinks and desserts. Parking can be tricky since this plaza has become so busy and it's located where Sunright used to be. P.S. they're doing 20% off purchase during their soft opening hours. read more

Stopped by for the grand opening and loved everything we tried . I ordered the pistachio cream jasmine milk tea and you can definitely taste the pistachio and the jasmine tea was very fragrant. Added bonus of the salted bit of roasted pistachio as a topping nice mixture of sweet and salty and nutty . My daughter got the matcha coconut water and she liked hers also . We also got the biscoff tiramisu and that was the show stopper for us lady fingers was not too over soggy still had a nice dense texture and the cream was smooth and so good . Staff were very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. I tried their peach oolong tea, which was very flavorful. A little too sweet so will ask to adjust the sugar next time. 8/10 experience. Their matcha was good. Next time I'd probably get it 1/2 or even 1/4 sweet, since the regular sweetness level was incredibly overwhelming and almost overpowering. I got the salty matcha and I super appreciate that they have a salted option on their menu bc it's always a favorite of mine! If you like very sweet + decently strong matcha, bijou is the place to go to. read more

My friend and I went during Soft Opening but this place exceeded our expectations! I got the Crème Brûlée Viet coffee and wow, I have nothing but good things to say about this drink. The viet coffee tasted like the ones I can get on the streets of Vietnam. Truly delectable! The hints of Crème Brûlée balances out the strong original flavor coffee. My friend got the Matcha Cloud Latte, and she said it was amazing. The service they provided was great, and the space is soooooo cute! read more

I came here for the third time during the soft opening. The first and second visits were really great, they even had a 20% discount. I came back today and it was pretty busy near closing time. I ordered a Large Biscoff Matcha Latte again, but this time there was no discount and the cup was basically full of ice, no biscoff crumble on top, and less cream than last time but costed $8. I understand it's still a soft opening and the staff may be overwhelmed, but please keep the drink quality consistent. This wasn't worth, very disappointing! read more

Since I saw this place replaced Sunright, I was waiting until its opening. Now that it's open, I'd say the drinks here are unique and delicious. The biscoff matcha latte was very nice and not too sweet, which is what I prefer unlike other places that make matcha drinks too sweet. I will come back some time in the future to try the other drinks and even desserts. read more

2 visits 1st day had croffle strawberry, Tarimisu cookie and coffee. Coffee taste is good, but ordered a large and they gave me 2/3 of a cup of coffee with ice. Tarimisu was good croffle was good too and it was like 6 inches long. Next time came ordered pineapple mango and 2 croffles. Pineapple mango drink was not to my liking. Croffles got reduced to a bite size croffle like 3 inches long. I like the croffles but not 7 bucks for 3 bites of food hard pass. read more

Went here for 3 days in a row aince my first day and truly have one of the greatest matcha selections in Houston! The owner was also great to talk to since he was very welcoming and friendly which kept me coming back as well as the nice decor inside. I highly recommend the matcha cloud for a subtle, yet tasty flavor and the biscoff matcha for something more sweet and dessertful! Matcha here is a very great price for how much you get especially in a large. read more

The lounge like ambiance, along with their diner-like menu, is a major selling point for folks and has been one of the reasons for their popularity over the better part of the last two decades. It is a bit trendy and plays music that you would think of and in a Miami lounge or a pretentious New York Club. While service is not their strong suit, the clean bathrooms, spacious seating, and semi-open kitchen makes up for some 'tudes from the staff. The menu is most definitely Asian, but blends from a predominantly Chinese menu and featuring various Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese items. The latter includes sushi, which is likely one of the only spots in the neighborhood that still has it after midnight. They have bluefin tuna and sea urchin, in which Cafe 101 is one of the only late night spots to offer it. Their beef chow fun is nice and greasy, but filled with excessive onions, bean sprouts, and various other veggies that almost take away from the noodles and beef (which was nicely cooked). Their shrimp and egg came in a nice set, which was a good surprise and surprisingly well executed. This is also a spot for Japanese curry, and even though it's not the best, it most certainly does the job. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is on point, cumin lamb is unsurprisingly spicy, and Singapore chow mai fun has a tinge of solid wok hei. (#1) I'm genuinely not a fan of their soups and think the sushi rolls are not their best work. While they also have milk, tea options, unless one is desperate, I would also steer clear of. Parking in the early evening can be an issue at Don Huang Plaza, but after 11pm, the parking options should be abundant. You can also set the sugar level from 0 to 100 (70% is regular) and ice level (full, less or no ice). I usually have Large with 50% sugar and less ice. My wife likes the Lychee Oolong with black pearls. You will just need to get and find what tickles your taste buds. They have a rewards program if you are willing to share your mobile number that you enter when you place your order. Place is clean and was renovated during Covid. Tables and chairs are on both sides of the room. Games are gone now after Covid. Staff is pretty efficient. It doesn't take long to get your order. They will call out your number when order is ready.

We tried the Tiramisu Latte with the tiramisu cake served right on top of the drink and it was honestly the star of the visit. The latte was rich and creamy and the tiramisu had the perfect balance of coffee flavor and sweetness. It made for both a delicious treat and a fun presentation. We also ordered the Matcha Dessert Tea, which was smooth, refreshing and not overly sweet. The matcha flavor came through nicely and paired well with the creamy layers. For dessert, we got the Mango Panna Cotta, which was light, silky and packed with fresh mango flavor. It was the perfect refreshing finish after the drinks. Beyond the food and drinks, the café itself is absolutely adorable. The atmosphere is cozy, aesthetic, and perfect for catching up with friends or taking cute photos.
