I was so fortunate enough to have the Lepique Beauty team work their magic for my hair and makeup look for a recent Bridal-inspired shoot. The makeup artist Crystal Wei is so lovely and has a vision inspired for which makeup look best suits your face and really listens to your requests. I knew I wanted a mauve soft smoky look with my eyes and the end result was what I wanted and more. The makeup looked natural, light and pretty. It was really pleasant being able to get your face done by a sweet and gentle make up artist. Next, Kristina Curtis gave my hair the romantic waves I wanted and gave me some nice volume to my usual flat hair. I seriously cannot recommend Crystal and her team enough. She is honestly the sweetest person and quickly became stranger to friend. She did a my trial/engagement look and I absolutely loved how naturally pretty she made me feel. For my wedding, the booking process was probably the easiest and smoothest with Lepique Beauty than any of my other vendors. I don't know how they do it but whether I am emailing them at 6am or at midnight, the team always responded quickly. My sister-in-law and I did a trial a couple weeks before the wedding which was a great idea. It can be skipped but if you're like me and my bridal party where you are a bit particular about your makeup then it's definitely worth it. It made wedding day go smoothly because Crystal already knew what I wanted and how I liked it. It also gave her a sense of me so on my wedding day she pulled out some extra makeup options that she brought with me in mind (like extra sparkle on my eyes). Crystal and the team were also very accommodating. I needed to change up the schedule a couple times and they were able to work around me. They were also very accommodating during the trial when I wanted my eyeliner different (personal preference) and kept wanting to look at the mirror during specific steps. Dropped off wifey at the Bijoux studio in Newport Beach - it was easier than Crystal coming to our hotel - and when I came back 2 hours later, wifey was ecstatic (will not let me post a photo). Crystal uses Nars products, and also avoids Duo-Glue for eyelashes in favor of Callas, a much healthier one with no latex in it. Indeed wifey's peepers looked amazing in those mink lashes. Kristina did my makeup for my wedding and i loved it :) One of the main reasons why i loved working with Kristina is because she really listened to what type of makeup i was looking for and basically worked together to achieve the final look. I loved how she did things in steps and asked me if I liked it a long the way and made any changes right then and there. I really like that because sometimes when someone does your entire makeup and it ends up being too dark or whatever, you basically have to work backwards to fix everything.
