I just moved to Orange County and I was so nervous to find a hair stylist that could do a beautiful blonde highlight. I had several people in the area try and give me a blonde highlight, but none of it ever came out the way I wanted it. My hair was dry, brittle & thin, and never got to a blonde color I used to have in the past. I'll be real, I do a terrible job explaining what I want and she patiently helps me find the words and makes the plan in the kindest way possible. Review update (5 stars again, duh!)... I've seen Maranda for many visits. I usually give her an idea of what I want and then ask her to use her skills to bring it home. She slays my hair every time with typical services being Brazilian blow outs, highlights, toner, cutting, and styling. She is a careful hair scientist who can fix what you messed up. BUT WHY SCREW UP YOUR HAIR WHEN YOU CAN just make Maranda your stylist and commit to your follow ups. I have been client of Maranda's for several years now. I followed her from the previous salon she was working at, to her own private suite salon at Phenix (love her new space). Every visit has been amazing, I always leave her chair feeling on top of the world. I can always count on Maranda to talk me through, very thoroughly and professionally, what I want done to my hair...I'm always changing my color . She knows what works and what doesn't work for your hair. She is able to be realistic with me about my hair goals and works with me to achieve the range of color I want. Maranda has taken me from blonde, to copper, to blue, to green all while keeping my hair healthy and looking perfect. On several occasions Maranda has contacted me prior to an appointment to see if I can come in early. She has never demanded or made it sound like I had to , but politely and professionally asked if I would like to come in early. Most times I am able to and she is a doll for getting me in and therefore out earlier. If I cannot arrive earlier Maranda is completely sweet and OK with that as well. She is always working with me, the client, to make me happy. All in all I love Maranda and her amazing work. I have referred her to everyone I know and now my mom, sister in law, sister (who comes in from out of the country just for Maranda), my husband, and my daughter all go to and rave about Maranda. Hands down the best stylist I've ever had! I first came to Maranda in desperate need of a color correction, I had already been to a few other places trying to find the right person to trust in order to fix the bleach disaster (two months before my wedding!!) Within minutes of talking to her I was at ease, she listened to what I wanted to accomplish and gave me her honest opinion. She thoroughly explained my options and together we decided on a plan divided into a few visits so we could not only correct the problem but also get me where I wanted to be without damaging my hair. Maranda is seriously amazing. I am so glad I found her. She was extremely punctual, worked quickly but I didn't feel rushed at all, and made my hair gorgeous. The moment I left the salon I walked into another store and the cashier told me my hair was so silky and shiny. I gave her Maranda's card and have since given away 3 more because people keep giving me compliments and asking where I go. The salon is super interesting. It is like an office building with suites, so each stylist's station is their own room and space. Maranda's is beautiful and inviting. I have had HORROR stories with previous stylists that have done ombré on my hair and balayage on my hair and I never could trust anyone to do it! First off, She painted my hair and didn't tug and pull on my hair, was fun to talk to, and even listened when it came to trying to help me figure out the haircut that I wanted!
