We live in Jax and were staying at one of the beach hotels. We have been wanting to buy new bikes and saw a lot of their bikes. So we stoped by twice and both times the store was closed, even those it was well within the posted hours. If you don't want any business, just stay closed. read more

Great bike shop! In my eyes, this is the only place to purchase a bike in all of Jacksonville! Why? You ask.... Because of the Proprietor. He is genuine. His prices are very fair. He is a wealth of knowledge about bikes, accessories and repairs. He is trying to hold down the prices during this recession we are in due to Covid. I hate to give any type of negative review seeing as this is the second time that I've showed up to purchase an E-bike and haven't been successful, I think I have to leave one. Both times that I've tried to visit this store has closed early. If they don't want to stay open on sundays until 4pm then they should change their hours to match. read more

They have a surprisingly large selection of excellent bikes. There are a large number of extremely affordable ones as well from single speed, beach cruisers up to multi speed, hybrids and electric bikes. Very much recommended. We purchased two bikes. read more

Great bike shop, fixed my vintage 1982 earth cruiser, planning on buying my next bike from them.

This is my 4th time in the store and doing business with Bike & Beach. Today, I was in to get a lock and basket for my bike. I had to get an old lock cut off first. The service representative was so on point with everything. His intent was to be helpful in providing the best assistance and service to me while I was there. There were several customers at the same time. He was very attentive and kind to us all. As you can tell, I am very pleased with the service and my purchase of a lock and basket today. I was in the market for a new beach cruiser so I went to a couple different bike stores at the beach. I went to BIKE AND BEACH first and Travis was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped me narrow my decision down to a couple of bikes after taking some bikes out for test drives. I told him I was going to shop around for a couple of weeks and hopefully would be back to buy a bike soon. The next day I went to another well known bike shop at the beaches to look at their bikes. Right from the get go this bike shop was dissing the type of bike that Bike and Beach sells and the shop itself. Their bikes were way more money (all i was looking for was a one speed beach cruiser). The vibe I got from this salesperson was not one concerned about what I wanted and again spent the whole time slandering another company vs selling my on their brand of bike and their shop. To me I just felt like I was going to be another sale and thats it. The next day I called BIKE AND BEACH to see if the one bike that I test drove was still available, one of Travis's sales associates had sold it the day before, but he came in early the next day and put a new one together for me! The owner went above and beyond, replacing both tires on my cruiser on the spot when I somehow got flats in both tires after I biked down to Atlantic Beach from Jacksonville Beach in order to eat at The Flying Iguana. I walked my bike over here (I couldn't ride it with two flat tires) five minutes before closing, and he stayed open over his closing time just to get my bike fixed, and get me back on the road. And it wasn't even that expensive. KUDOS! read more

So excited to have new Mango bikes from Bike & Beach! Drove over an hour to get here just because Travis is so awesome and the price and selection didn't hurt either! We had stopped in before and we were impressed by the prices and decided to come back and purchase after looking around other shops and seeing what was available. When we went back there was a gentleman there who was having his bike serviced and starting talking to us about how reliable this shop was and we laughed because we said he should work for them! Seriously excellent service and Travis is so knowledgeable and nice. Definitely go see them after you've looked everywhere else. You will be glad you did. read more

DO NOT BUY YOUR BIKE HERE. I got a bike there 3 to 4 week ago, and have had to take it in twice for repairs. I don't know if they are selling there old rental or what, but if I spend 400+ on a bike I don't wanna take it to the shop every other week. read more

I got my wife a bike here, and they were so patient and accommodating that when I decided to replace mine, we went here first. I'd happily refer people to them. Some folk might mistake passion for the work and quirky personality as rude; but they aren't rude. They know what they are talking about and are very helpful (but were very busy with foot traffic both times we were in - also a good sign). Sure, we got the upsale pitch; but it was a good pitch, a well intentioned upsale, and I ended up with a great bike that I love to ride. This bike shop has tons to offer. They have countless bikes and usually have sales that are reasonable. I came here to buy a cup holder for my bike, and the guy at the counter helped me select one, then after he rung me up, came outside and installed it on my bike for me. The store is huge and has everything you could want for your bike, and the staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Will never be back, took my bike in for a simple tire replacement Travis originally said would only cost $15 then claimed it would be at least $50 to make rideable which I knew was a flat out lie. Don't trust this place for any repairs, rude and will try to scam you. read more

These guys helped me out in a bind. I blew a tire and they helped me out by replacing my tube even though tube repair isn't what they typically do. Great customer service and if I need a beach cruiser, I'll definitely be hitting them up... They have a great selection. read more

Really disappointed in their customer service. All we wanted was a simple color change for my wheels on my bike that I had just bought that day from their other location and the guy pretty much had one of the worst attitudes I've encountered and did not want to help what so ever. It was quite unfortunate. He was rude, unhelpful, and I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. Definitely go to the other location closer to Jax Beach! They're awesome there! read more

I go to these guys for cheap knowledgeable service, I also frequently go for small specific parts, they tend to hook me up with simple repairs or minor parts at little or no cost, I love these guys, I get the impression they really want to help get bikes back on the road! read more

Looked like a real nice shop but thats all we could tell. After driving 30 minutes to get there there was a sign on the door that said out to lunch be back at 2:40... Doors locked but there were people inside. We peered in the windows to no avail. We finally had to leave without ever going in. A shame!! read more

I buy bikes every year after Christmas to give to kids who don't get bikes as gifts because their parents can't afford them or for some other reason unknown to me. It is usually a bad situation that has to do with financial difficulty. People donate bikes to me, I buy some from offer up, swip-swap, get them from the trash, or wherever and just fix them to be rideable and decent so these kids can get to school and jobs. This year my normal bike shop had closed so I took about 7 bikes to Bike and Beach for repairs and assessment or parts in the back of my truck. On the night of January 2, 2017 I backed up and walked inside before removing any from the bed and walked inside. When I walked in the bearded employee greeted me with "how can I help you?" I said, "I wanted to see if you wanted any business?" He replied, "If it has anything to do with what's in the back of that truck then no." I was shocked. I thought he was kidding. He went on to tell me he had 4 weeks of repair work. I said I was in no hurry. The kids didn't even know they might get a bike. I was a paying customer. He said no thanks. I said, "you are really turning business away"? He said, "yes". I was half pissed, half shocked. Don't go there. He doesn't deserve it. Is that really who you want to give your business to? I may have to eat at the Loop more often just to tell the people walking by my story!!! Go to Bird Legs for my review of someone who went above and beyond that day. read more

These guys are Rockstars! I bought my 2nd bike there almost 2 years ago. (I bought my first one over 10 years ago - just upgraded...it's still rolling) Great value, and super service for life. That's right - you don't pay for labor on your bike repairs. Forever. These guys are Amazing. Travis in particular. Super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. I bought a 3rd bike for my girlfriend 7 months ago. She crashed her cruiser and bent the front rim recently. Travis took a look at the wheel and managed to straighten it out. No promises he said - but he ended up getting it back 99% in line, and saved me $ from buying another rim. He didn't have to do that - just good service to a customer. Just saw this new store in Neptune beach, at the corner of Atlantic and Third st. Lots of great cruiser bikes and they have surf boards and stand up SUP paddle boards for about half the price I've seen. Everywhere else has Stand up paddle boards for like a grand but Bike and Beach has them for around $500. Sweet! read more
